TrackMan Marble+ (T-CL13) just stopped working on all Win7/64 machines?!!!

I found one more different version of this mouse, it's slightly newer, called the "TrackMan Marble Wheel" (T-BB13), physically identical to the Marble+ (T-CL13) but it is USB.
I tested the (T-BB13) using one of the old USB-PS/2 adapters on Windows7/64 and it appears to work flawless.
So, Here's what I've determined:
(T-CH11) - Really old PS/2 No-Scrollwheel TrackMan Marble - WORKS IN WIN7/64
(T-CL13) - Slightly newer PS/2 Scrollwheel TrackMan Marble+ - DOES NOT WORK IN WIN7/64 after recent updates?
(T-BB13) - Even newer USB-PS/2 Scrollwheel TrackMan Marble Wheel - WORKS IN WIN7/64
I'm just bummed that Windows broke something.  I usually have hope I can find a work around.  But so far no luck.

I know this is an old PS/2 mouse. But i have a client with a bunch of these on PS2 KVMS for specific applications. A couple of the machines now are Win7/64 and these mice USED TO WORK for the last year or so until just recently. I suspect with Windows 10 being released, some stupid update related to touch screens broke it. Maybe MS did it on purpose, lol. But anyway...
The mouse movement is erratic, jumps all over the place and you can't use it at all. Kind of similar to the old 3bit vs 4bit mouse data on older laptops with touchpads. Is there any kind of "legacy" mode driver anyone knows of that might work? Currently Win7 only gives me the choice of "PS/2 Compatible Mouse" or "Microsoft PS/2 Mouse".
I tried the non-wheel PS/2 version of the same old mouse (T-CH11) on some Win7 boxes and it works FINE! Only this T-CL13 model with the...

  • WRT54G - wireless just stopped working on all devices

    Hi All,
I've had my WRT54G for a couple of years and have my Desktop hard wired (to the router) and 2 laptops and an ipod connecting wirelessly succefully for the past 2 years.Woke up this morning and nothing will connect wirelessly, finding the router is intermitent and when it does it cannot establish a connection with it. I can connect the devices via the network cable directly to the router and all works fine, it's just wireless that has suddenly stopped working.
I have tried 'turning it off and on again" turning WEP off, changing WEP password etc. but nothing seems to work. Im at a loss as to why my entire wireless network/connection has just stopped working?
    Any ideas?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I'm having a similar problem. This past month or so, the router just kicks my wireless computers off the network. Then I can't find the network at all. My work around has been to go into the wireless setting (via my hard-wired computer) and change the wireless channel from 9 to 11 or vice versa. This keeps the network connected for a day or two and then kicks us off again until I change the channel.
I've looked into the solution previously posted of upgrading the Firmware but I'm having a difficult time doing so. I'm on a Mac and the firmware downloads seem to be for PC. The other problem I'm having is that my model is WRT54GS (no version number). Should I assume this is version 1.0? I think so. Anyway, like I said, when I download the firmware for that unit, it shows up as a bin file (WRT54GSv3_4.71.4.001_fw,3.bin). I then expand it and it becomes a cpgz file (WRT54GSv3_4.71.4.001_fw,3.bin.cpgz). And back and forth, over and over again.
How can I upgrade my firmware on my Mac?
    PS> Current Firmware Version: v2.07.1

  • My iPod Touch, gen 4, CAMERA just stopped working.  All it does is display a dark screen.

That's it.  It stopped working with no apparent cause.  No sync, no connection with myPC.
I tried to force it to fix itself by connecting to the PC and syncing, no good.

    Hi Ingo2711,
Thanks for the suggestion.  But I don't understand it as your words seem to conflict with the words at the link.
Not to mention, it feels like a start over and that scares ,me more than it is worth.
No other way to get back my camera and my photos?
WHOOOOOPSSS!!!!  I just attached my iTiuch to my PC setting off an ajutomatic SYNC and that jarred it back to working again.

  • Wierdest thing happened last night, Killer network just stopped working at all!

Last night i disconnected my Ethernet Cable. Put in a new hdd and plugged Everything back together, started my computer and BAM no internet... Okay i thought it happens once in a while that our fibre get screwed up.
Reseted our fibre swith, connected all other pc, router etc and all of our computer, router and PS3 etc worked like they allways has but not my pc that is directly hardwired to its own from switch.
So i tryed removing the Killer network suit, ran 64 bit KillerCleaner and ran the installer again after the reboot, didnt work! Okay so i did it again but after reboot i justr installed the driver without killer suit. Darn it, didnt work...
Tryed going to cmd ipconfig /release and renew.. Did not work.. Ran out of options. I have  worked with computers for for a LONG time and I couldn´t get it to work. I thought to myself, somehow the Killer suit/drivers must have done a hardlock somehow and reinstalled Win 8.1 Pro and just installed the driver without the suit. Now it works again. This must be the first real network card in my history that is so screwed up. Please MSI have a look at this. Dunno if it is a BIOS/Win 8.1/Killer thing or not.. Just wanted to share it it with you guys.
    Best Regards Zav

At work sneaking posts here while I work through the grind... hehe
When you enter BIOS, in the advanced section you will see the NIC. It should list the MAC address there. The only time I have seen this issue with when the bios was flashing in a certain way, but I don't see how if it somehow got corrupted it couldn't do this.
Another possibility is that somehow the board got / is shorted.
Although this most sounds like a software driver issue in windows. Does it make a difference if you enter in safe mode in remove the driver manually then do a registry search and remove all killer components / suite from there.
Then again it could be something really simple, have you tried a different Ethernet cable?
    Okay i gotcha hehe
Well i have reinstalled Win 8.1 Pro and the problem Went away so further troubleshooting is not necessary but still a very funny bug...
I built computers for long but sure one could make misstakes but im very accurate when building computers i must say. So shorted, nah i don´t belive it is.
Think it is a bug in the system though, thats why wrote this post so MSI could at least have a look at it..
    Thanks again xmad

  • My iphone just stopped working at all, what can i do?

argh someone help...i put down my iphone 4 on the table working in the night, but when i get up, its totally dead!
i have only had it 2 months, i thought maybe the battery was too flat, but it wont even charge... its never been dropped or

  • My iphone randomly just stopped working and is telling me to activate, once i type in the information it doesn't do anything.

Please plug the iPhone with the original doch-connector & USB cable into a USB plug in the computer (directly into the computer) and restart iTunes. It should register. Please do not stop the registration!!! You may need to press power on iPhone.
    Is the iPhone jailbroken?

  • MacBook Charger just stops working!

Ok, so I am on my 3rd charger the 3rd one is literally 6 months old and it just stops working. All of them have... and when I go to the genius bar nobody can help me, they just suggest a buy a new one. Of course, those are over $80 including tax... and I am sick of spending that. I mean, I do nothing out of the ordinary. My charger is plugged in the power outlet and I dont move it, I dont play with it, I dont abuse it, it dont do anything but charge my laptop.
So can somebody please tell me whey they just start working and where I can buy a charger that will at least last me a couple of years?????? I mean, does apple create these issues purposely so I spent $80 every 6 months??? Not cool!!!

yup that was it.. The bumper has a little plastic piece that stooped the charger from fully seating... So I had to perform surgery on my $29.00 Apple bumper so the accessory that are made for it fit.. Nice...

  • Hi, i have an IPod Touch 4g. One of the earphones just stops working after while,no matter how many times i replace them. What do i do?

Hi, i bought my IPod 4G about 7 months ago. After about a mont of buying them, one the earphones just stopped working which became extremely annoying..so i bought a new set of earphones and they worked well for about 5/6 months and then one of them stopped working as well. About 2 weeks ago, i bought a new set of earphones and now the right earphone of that has stopped working as well. The thing is, the earphone doesnt just stop working on my IPod, it also stops working on my laptop...and now i am very confused as to where the problem lies. I can't keep buying headphones every other week cos that is just too expensive and i dont know if the problem lies with my IPod or what! The same thing is happening to my sister's IPod as they were purchased at the same time. What do we do??

This previous discussion discusses the same if not similar problem.

  • Can't open a dng or raw file in cs5, just stops working. So many problems in cs5!

I totally feel for you. Just upgraded from cs4 to cs5 and it was the  biggest mistake i ever made. It will probably end my livelihood as a  photographer since EVERY time i open a raw file it crashes photoshop,  makes it freeze up after i have adjuted the file in camera raw then I  hit open; i get a few bars then it just stops working.
Even got  tech help, which helped when i was on the phone with them. The next day  the problem came back even when I danced the same jig that I did when I  had the guy on the phone - he had me move a raw file on to the desktop  rather than take open from my hard drive, then I was able to open it, so  we came to the conclusion that my drive was corrupt. I had the same  information backed up on a brand new hard drive so we compared files  from the each drive against the other. The files from the new drive  opened successfully. Yesterday. Now Photoshop cs5 doesn't open any raw  or dng files at all from anywhere so it can only be a problem with  photoshop. We thought we had the problem solved but we did not. This  never happened on CS4 unless i was trying to open 30 or more raw files,  and even then it gave me a warning that it had no more ram, it didn't  just lock up and do nothing. I'm at my wit's end. Even though there are a  lot of great new things in cs5, they aren't very useful if you can't  use the product to do the simplest thing.

    1) Install the Photoshop 12.0.1 update
    2) Install the latest ACR update.
If problems continue after that, then there probably is something wrong with your system.

  • My Ipod just stopped working, the screen got black and now I can't open it. I have tried to charge it but it doens't work.

My Ipod touch 5 just stopped working. The screen got black and now I can't use it or start it.
I have tried to charge it but it doens't start and when I tried to connect it with my computer it didn't work either.
I saw that you could hold down the "home" button and the "power" button at the same time but my home button doens't work so I can't do that.
Is there any other way I can fix it or do I have to go to an apple store?

    Try:
    Turn on without Home/Power Button

  • My ipod classic got wet back in August.. it seemed to work fine for about a month, but recently is not working at all..screen appeared to get cloudy and then it just stopped working. thanks.

my ipod classic got wet back in August.. it seemed to work fine for about a month, but recently is not working at all..screen appeared to get cloudy and then it just stopped working. thanks.

    Most likely, water damage.
You can try putting your iPod in a tupperware, half filled (maybe half inch) with rice grains, close the cover for about a week.
If you have done this, as soon as it got wet, higher chances of success, now looks like the water moisture is getting to the LCD screen.
Then you can always bring it to Apple Genius bar, for a an overhaul. (may cost you half the price of a new iPod classic.)

  • My lock button doesn't work. It didn't break, it just stopped working

Ok. So apparently during a workout outside, my brand new, month old iPhone 4S decides it wants to workout too. So I brought it to my workout, put it in a backpack, and set the bag down as I normally do. The dew on the grass that morning apparently casused enough condensation to trigger my litmus paper, and now my brnad new iPhone has no warranty, hence my question here. I have been searching for a week or 2 now on information for this, and can find nothing. Apple will do nothing but tellme they can replace the phone for $200 but then won't wanswer questions about the issue itself, and I seem to be the only iPhone owner in the world with this problem, so it's nowhere on the intarwebz.
So my lock button, up top, on the shoulder, stopped working. It didn't break, it didn't get stuck down, it just stopped working. Like, the screen flashed (go to wake the phone up, it didn't wake up, so I pressed the button again, and it flashed on and then off again real quick, like normally would). Hit it again, nothing. Hit the Home button, woke up. Played with phone, etc, went to put to sleep...... nothing. Hit the button multiple times, nothing. Button still clicks down and functions as the button itself should, but no sleep or wake. The button only actually does what it's supposed to do when I hard reset, or the phone is off and I'm turning it on. I can't take a screenshoot of the phone, and every now and then my phone will be just sitting on the table or wherever, and it will wake up, the "Slide to Close" bar pops up, and then 15 seconds later, goes back to bed.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, and what should I look at fixing inside? I have not taken this one apart yet as I don't have the tools anymore, waiting on them to get here, but I figure Apple has screwed me on my warranty, so I'm just going to fix it myself. Never had this specific issue before, so I'm not really sure what the **** is messed up until I can take a look inside. Any help until then would be wonderful. Sorry for the long back story, and thanks for looking.

Your problem is rare from the symptoms you describe. Most lose the click function, yours still has it. Yours functions sporadically or only for certain functions. Maybe it is liquid damage causing this. Maybe it will dry and be OK.
While waiting for your Pentalobe Screwdriver, try a Firmware Restore with iTunes. See if this helps. If you still decide to procede, the first step inside should be to carefully disconnect the battery at its connector. Also all the screws inside are different sizes, except for some of the Screen screws, so keep them well sorted.

  • 2nd Gen Time Capsule - will not power up - just stopped working all of a sudden - I have tried other power outlets - I have tried pressing the reset button - no light

2nd Gen Time Capsule - will not power up - just stopped working all of a sudden - I have tried other power outlets - I have tried pressing the reset button - no light

The power supply is shot. But that it lasted even this long is the wonder.. not that it died.
    The TC runs too hot..
Look on ebay for "Time Capsule power supply"
You can get a replacement and fix it although the economics are not so good.. it is probably time for a new TC.
If you can DIY it is really only a few dollars worth of capacitors that go bad.
