There are many ways to do it. One of the quickest would be a blend if... from the advanced blending options.
More about that here:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Photoshop/11.0/WSfd1234e1c4b69f30ea53e41001031ab64-789ca.html
You could also use color range or calculations to make a selection or mask and use that to change / delete the background.
More about color range here:

Even the magic wand would work fine for non-flyaway hair.

  • Adobe Media Encoder cuts off video layer when the Ultra Key effect is applied

I am working on a Mac (10.8.5) using the latest verison of Premiere Pro CC. I am using Ultra Key to remove the chroma key background from the "talent layer" and adding a "new background layer" behind the talent video layer. When I export directly from Premiere, the sequence exports as expected. However, I have many sequences, and wish to speed up the  process using Adobe Media Encoder. When I export the same sequence using Adobe Media Encoder, the top half of the "talent layer" is completly cut off:
The issue has something to do with the Ultra key effect because when I remove the effect from the "talent layer" it exports in tact (with a chroma key background of course). Adobe Media Encoder CC is up to date as well; are there any known bugs with Media Encoder CC and the Ultra Key effect in Premiere Pro?
    Thanks!

  • Any pre keyed effect sites that work with adobe premiere elements 11?

I have been trying to find a legit non scam/virus site with pre keyed effects like explosions, gunshot fire, fire, and other effects like that.
Most sites that I've tried are virus' or only work with imovie.
Anyone know of any good sites that have pre keyed effects that works with adobe premiere elements 11? (they don't have to look good, I am just practicing with those)

In my book "Cool Tricks & Hot Tips for Premiere Elements 11", I recommend and show you how to use clips from the wonderful site http://detonationfilms.com/ to create explosive effects.

  • ¿How do you change the time of all images and do the chroma key effect in ¡Movie 10.0.2?

I know it's a simple question, but i had ¡Movie '08 and I bought the latest version, and it's really different, so I don't know, if i have like 150 photos (it's an stop-motion) how can I put the same duration? And do the chroma key effect? And I don't know why, all the images have the Ken Burns effect and I don't know how to quit it. Thanks for the help!

I solved the same time problem, but now the problem is that when i use the chroma key it automatic uses the blue screen effect, not the gren (wich I want). Please help! Thanks!

  • Chroma key effect in as3.0

    Hi ,
How to make chroma key effect in as3.0. I am building an application in that while recording a video user can remove the solid background and inserts some other image it is done by chroma keying..
    Any ideas please
    Thanks

what i mean exactly is user starts recording  the video in solid background environment so he can eliminate the background with chroma key and replaces with some image. The chrom key will hide the background show the user and in background he can place some image

  • How to invert the ultra key effect in adobe premiere?

    Hi,
I'm trying to do a green screen shoot, except instead of replacing the background, I'd like to replace the person in the shot. I'd like to do this without greening the person. I have tried using the Ultra key effect and applying the invert effect on the alpha channel. But that gives a lot of noise, I want the "green screen part" to be totally black and the person replaced with another video or image. Is there an easy way to do this?
    Thanks

So you had the ultra keys output set to alphachannel, the dublicated clip in track bellow with same ultra key plus track-matte-key with the track above as input, compositiong with set to luma matte and inverted. (or directly apply the track matte to the footage which should appear in the silouette)
If your settings is like this, what do the ultra key adjustments look like? with light and shaddow set to 0 and tolerance and last value set to 100 i get very low noise and a clear outline.

  • Intermittent flickering on the ultra-Key Effect in CC 2014

    Hello,
I opened an Project from Adobe Premiere CC 7 in Premiere CC 2014.
In this project I use the ultra-key effect. Now in Version 2014 I can't export a movie without intermittent flickering of the ultra-key track.
I urge you to help, because I have created in this converted project already a new movie and this can only export to said error.
Is there perhaps alternatively a way my CC2014-Project again in a CC 7.2 Project to convert?
    Thnx
    StoST

    Here Some Details:
    - Adobe Premiere CC 2014.0 (Build 8.0.0 (169)
    - Apple OS X 10.9.3
    - Source MTS-File 1920x1080 25fps
    - Output: H.264 1920x1080 25fps (same bad result in all tested other formats)
    - Worked before with the same Project in CC 7.2
    - using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Accelerated
    - The Preview in the working area is ok, without any flickering

  • Chroma key effect

    Hi All,
I am trying without success to use the Chroma Key effect only in part of the frame.
Is it possible? Can I draw the borders?
    Thanks
    Shaul

Coming from a stills background, I once years ago saw a video of a post-processing person in naturally film working (there wasn't this digital thing then) and he showed how they used masks, flags, & mattes in front of the camera during shooting of special effects. It was very elaborate work, some of it literally done by shooting a scene with a mask (totally blocked all but one part of the image from being exposed, cut to shape and placed just so in front of the camera), then re-winding the film and shooting with a flag over part of it ... then re-winding and shooting another section with both masks to block areas and mattes that were colored or painted for either shifting color/tonality or detail level or simply adding background/foreground to the image. Some of his work the same footage went through the camera 5 or 6 times, complicated re-registration on re-winds and exposure controls & all ... but allowed him to do things that couldn't be done otherwise.
What struck me at the time was he credited his ideas tools & techniques to Ansel Adams, the way he'd mastered making prints with held-back/extended exposures using precise shapes and movements to mutliple dodging and burning tools. This guy just did it on base footage in-cam, which sorta blew my mind away at the time.
Btw ... I was pretty frickin' hot with those tools myself, b/w and especially color prints. LONG time ago ... and your "cuts out the garbabe" comment is as good as leads to no never-mind (whatever the heck that phrase really transliterates as ... )

  • Chroma key effect in Premiere Elements

If I buy Adobe Premiere Elements, am I able to use chroma key effect and receive a clean video free from green colour from the background, even around the hair? My experience is that it is not possible with cheaper programs.

    peterwallgren
What computer operating system would you be running Premiere Elements on? If Mac, be advised that Mac does not have Chroma Key, Green Screen Key, or Blue Screen Key.
A lot of variables in the green screen videography and photography. Best download and install Premiere Elements 13 and determine if it works for you in green screen workflow.
Generalizing, I think it does a good job. But a generalization is not good enough when you get down to a specific setup with specific details.
We will be watching for your follow up if you decide to look at the Premiere Elements 13 Chroma Key effect (Expert workspace, fx Effects/Keying/Chroma Key).

  • Where is the green screen keying effect in Premiere Elements 12 for Mac?

I have installed Premiere Elements 12 on My Mac, and I can't find the green screen keying effect in the efx window. Is this only available in the Windows version, or is it somewhere else in this version?

    mgeiser
Premiere Elements 12 Mac does not come with ChromaKey, GreenScreen Key, or BlueScreen Key.
Videomerge is not a renaming of GreenScreen Key. It is just a substitute suggested by some for ChromaKey, GreenScreen Key, or BlueScreen Key that are not included in Premiere Elements 12 Mac.
If you want a substitute for ChromaKey, GreenScreen Key, or BlueScreen Key, I would suggest that you look at the Difference Matte under fx Effects/Keying/.
Please check out my how to on that.
    http://www.atr935.blogspot.com/2013/05/pe11-difference-matte-as-substitute-for.html
It has gotten a lot of good feedback from Premiere Elements Mac users.
Please let us know the outcome.
    Thank you.

  • High Key Effect

I have Elements 7 and was wondering the best way to achieve the High Key Effect.
    Thank you!!

    lynsuann,
I found another tutorial among my " keepers":
    Place image on white background
    Crop
    Remove blemishes with healing brush
Unsharp mask  amt. 100-200  radius 0.5-2  threshold 0-10
    Desaturate
Levels adjustment layer. Slide white slider (right one) to get a good white look
    Merge down
    Dodge tool to eliminate shadows
    Select eyes+nose+mouth with lasso tool
    Go to Select>inverse
    Go to select>feather 50 px
    Little gaussian blur
    Go to Select>inverse
Unsharp mask  - a little to suit

  • My FCP X wont use Pre-Keyed effects.

When I drag the effect down, it works for a minute, then the background turns black. I have not had this problem before...

Sure... I am using action essentials 2, and also am bringing in some Daz studio animations that are pre-keyed.
    I have the default settings

  • Looking For 'Visualizer' Music-Keyed Effects

    Hi,
I've been wondering if there are plug-ins for Premiere or After Effects to do something like the Windows Media Player 'Visualizer' effects---ie. where it creates various visual effects which pulse in synch with the audio track.
I was told that Camtasia Studio has something like this (I believe it's called 'Digital Juice') that people use to generate various background fx in time with the music---if that rings a bell with anyone here. The idea is that you select a particular 'theme' and it generates various types of imagery---again like the Windows Media Player has different 'visualizer' themes.
    Any ideas?
    ---JC

Hi again. Thanks for the replies, but I'm not getting how these programs do what I want.
I already -have- the music track. I want something that generates the -video- in tempo with the music... as does Windows Media Player where there are various 'visualizations' eg. 'Bar Chart' or 'Ocean Waves'. I was hoping there was some plug-in with similar 'visual beds'.
SonicFire and Magix seem to be for people who need music to go with their video. I already got that.
    Ideas?
