Trackpad Error Mac Pro 2015

This is my new Mac Pro. But it has error Trackpad accidentally. I don't know why and how. I already check all the points in system preference. But it still doesn't work on swiping, launchpad, zoom and other things. It can be moved, but not smooth. What should i do?

A MOTor (probably a fan motor) has slowed down or died in the CPU and MEMory section of your Mac.
These fan motors feature an RPM-out indicator that the Mac can read to get a rough idea of how fast the fan motor is spinning. If not fast enough, you get an error in the diagnostic.
You need Service. They will probably need to replace that fan motor.

My new Trackpad works perfectly with my laptop however it will not work with my Mac Pro (2.66 GHz Quad Core) even I have discoverable on. Any suggestions and advice please?

Going back a page in the browser is probably the two finger Swipe between pages gesture.  The new gestures take some getting used to.
Look in System Preferences > Trackpad >  select the gestures you want in all three tabs.

  • Severe Trackpad Problems (Mac Pro)

Earlier today (12 hours ago) I spilt about a handful of warm water onto my trackpad. At first I thought it would be okay, but I was wrong. My mouse started spazzing out, and it's almost completely immobilised. I've read other responses to this issue, saying I should remove the back and yada-yada-yada... The problem is, I've left half a day to do this, so I don't know if this will work. Should I still follow this procedure?
Another note is that this has happened before, but my Mac was replaced before I could complain. What happen was that the motherboard failed to respond to my hard drive. Would this be caused by the water that seeped into my Mac? Because I don't want to replace another Mac again.
    MacBook Pro 10.7.5

You can install the OS to the SSD when it is connected to one of the 4 SATA II drive bays, then move it to the PCIe card.
You can just clone the OS to the SSD on the PCIe card with Carbon Copy Cloner.
I suggest keeping the original hdd as is. I suggest you clone the system, whether hdd or SSD, regularly.
An SSD is best device for the OS, so use it as such. It just does not need to go on the PCIe card.
And 250GB  is cheap $129 today.
I don't know what kind of audio, graphic and other data needs you have but those are great candidates for PCIe SSD, and I would look into the 500GB EVO $239 range, along with one of the affordable $99 PCIe SSD cards to hold one or two SSDs and that offer you the faster speed that it offers.
SATA II maxes out at 250-275MB/sec which is fine for the system
SATA III (PCIe SSDs) offer 500MB/sec or 900MB when using two in a stripe RAID0 set - double the capacity and speed. As I said, great for scratch as you can see, also for Lightroom, iPhoto and/or Aperture as well as for audio libraries and plugins.
AppStore - if you had to buy or acquire it new and were upgrading to it, looks like it is now $19 for those who did not do so earlier.
So yes, just redownload, only this time SAVE the installer application, move it, use Lion DiskMaker or I saw a new Apple support tech article on how to create a (flash or hdd) bootable installer for deploying to multiple Macs and for doing a clean install or reinstall later, so you have a local copy.
CS5 - I assume you know if and how and $$ in support and compatibility with Mavericks and Yosemite.
SSD #A System - SATA II drive bay #0 250-500GB SSD (because CS5 plugins use the boot drive for cache and require 100GB+)
    PCIe card SSD - $99
    SSD #B (and #C) - Photoshop scratch
Drive bays #1-3 for media, projects, data

  • Multitouch trackpad for Mac Pro

Having used my Macbook for editing for quite some time I've gotten really used to the multitouch track pad scrolling back and forth in my timeline and just point and clicking in general. I'm having a hard time getting used to using a mouse now. I have an optical trackball with lots of buttons and scroll wheel but it is still not as convenient to me as the trackpad of my laptop. I can't find anything like it for the MP. Anyone out there ever see anything like this or know how to disassemble a Macbook to hook up its trackpad via usb?

So I just got the Adesso Easy Cat 2 button track pad. So far so good. It's no Apple track pad but not bad. For some reason it doesn't have the horizontal scroll bar like it show in the picture and says it has, even though the model number on the pad is right so hopefully Adesso can address that. It seems like a decent pad though. I can left and right click on the pad and reprogram the 2 physical buttons to do other things. It can be programmed specifically to each program so it can function differently with different programs. Just thought I'd put in my 2 cents so far!

  • Maya 2015 cannot see Mac Pro 2013 or GPU

Cannot understand why Apple would have Autodesk certify the AMD D500 on a Mac Pro 2015 when in preference the make of workstation and the GPU cannot be seen.
I am getting nowhere with Autodesk so I hope someone might know here.
Do I have to move to the HP Z820 to get a rig that is professional and truly supported by Autodesk?

I do not understand. Autodesk says that Mac is Certified for use with Maya.
    What is the probelm?

machine-check is a Hardware problem. Memory problems often show error code 4 or 5, and are detected by MULTIPLE Processors at once. (a software problem would panic-out ONE Processor, and would not say Machine-check.
The Xeon Processor with Error Correcting Code memory on the Mac Pro stores additional bits with each word in memory, carefully computed so that if the word is read back with one bit wrong, the errant bit can be corrected by Hardware with essentially no slowdown. A background task collects and tabulates the error occurrences, and they can be read back using the STATIC display shown below.
Uncorrectable errors are detected, but most of these cannot be corrected, so your Mac will halt with a kernel panic, machine check detected by multiple processors. This is by design, to avoid poisoning your data.

So go about your usual work. From Time-to-Time, re-invoke or Refresh this display. The first modules to show up with errors are BAD, and any filled slots that show as "empty" had errors during the power-on self test, and are also BAD.

The machine is a MacPro 2009 I believe, 2.66GHz Quad. and it's having startup issues - at the moment it's NOT starting so I am told !
Before it went totally down someone was able to run the Apple Hardware Test on it and got an error code -
    4SNS/1/40000000: TMA4- 128.000
Ive searched and found the 4SNS refers to a possible sensor problem, but the TMA part of the code is unknown ...
It is also showing 1 of the 4 red ram led lights so there looks like a ram issue as well, but Im just wondering if anyone can shed more light on the error above so I can try to pinpoint the problems closer ?
At the moment Im being told by the locals it might be the logic board which of course is quite expensive ...
    Mitch

My rule of thumb when faced with multiple problems is to address any you can get your hands around, and the symptoms may change and clarify the other problem.
A RAM LED stuck on is a memory failure, and that is easy to fix -- remove or replace the failing module.
It is also possible the sensor complaint is about that module -- they have temp sensors on them.
If you are replacing modules in a 2009 or later, don't buy smaller than 8GB replacements, they are cheap enough now at about US$75 from

i think logic is fine Instrument it needs to be improved just as any other major DAW's . synch errors like , coundn't process data in time etc, is 20th century . there is enough tech knowelege nowedays to sort this legacy of the past out . what i'm afraid to go into is to start twicking OS till i would go Grey and not having any improvement as i did when i was usin PC & Windos . Melissa .., i have those error poping up without audio files in a song , only logic Synths and Stylus can cause those pop up . i don't want to dramatize it i have qute bearable interaptions but still those kind of Audio or whatever related problems they might be should be sorted out once and for all by Apple . also i constructed audoload on a new system i was using Cubase before i moved to Mac .
for Chris', attention i've got quite qood Audio interface hooked up : Yamaha i88x Mlan interface .
i'm hopeing to hear more feedback on this thread though.

  • My mac pro won't pair with my magic trackpad.

I'm posting in this forum because I am using a Mac Pro, what we used to call a "tower," and my Magic Trackpad isn't recognized & won't pair. This has been an increasing problem over the past year, and I actually blamed the trackpad and bought a new one -- and of course it doesn't work either. My MacBook Pro (actually two of them) use the same latest version of Mountain Lion and they pair up just fine, never dropping the connection. I'm an old-timer with 25 years on the Mac, and I'm stumped. The support forums here confirm that this is a common problem -- MT not pairing -- and I have tried every suggestion I can find. Booting in safe mode, repairing permissions, trashing the bluetooth prefs file, VRAM and SMC resets, moving computer away from any possible interference, and probably two or three more I can't recall. I don't have any exotic apps installed (there's one that has something to do with Windows that can cause this problem, but I don't have it), nothing on the tower that's not on the two laptops running the same OS X version. For the record, I have a 2x2.8 Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM, all the original Apple installation. OS X is 10.8.4. I've tried three different brands of alkaline batteries. For a time the problem was intermittent (the dreaded "dropped connection") but now it doesn't pair up at all, i.e. neither of my two trackpads pair up. I've let the "searching" function run for as long as 30 minutes, including some restarts of the trackpad...you get the picture. Although this has been addressed in other places in support, I am posting here because so far I don't have a solution. Any ideas? I really appreciate the forum, have been here a long time, and hope that someone has that next good idea that's going to help me. Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem as you with Bluetooth stuff. It was suggested to me that I buy an external BT dongle
as the bluetooth reception in the stock Mac Pro was spotty at best.I did so- iogear 421 (the 521 is supported but ONLY in Mountain Lion, so I was told) and bluetooth works just fine.  Of course it might be that the cables for your Bluetooth/Airport card in your Mac Pro could have been installed incorrectly (just google bluetooth in Mac Pro help) but...if they have been, then the dongle might be your best bet, or some kind of external antenna
(the G5 had one, as you may know, but we don't......)
I see by your posting you have tried every suggestion you possibly could, and it's not software related
    and it's not a simple one-shot-done fix...
that's the best I have for now. I think I paid about $25 for the dongle and it was easy as pie to install

  • Disk utility reports "Device could not be opened" - error when trying to format a new drive in a Mac Pro 1,1

    MacPro 1,1 Quadcore 3 GHz (2006 "Woodcrest")
    32 GB RAM
    ATI Radeon HD 5770
    OS X 10.7.5 Lion
I have encountered the following behavior when trying to format a new drive with disk utility. This description has also been send via the Mac Pro feedback as a bug report to Apple.
On searching the web and forums with this particular error message and behaviour I could not find any usful results. So maybe the following description may be helpful for some users.
    Best regards.
    1. Drive Bay 1 contains the original 250 GB Startupdisk. It works without errors.
    2. Drive Bays 3 and 4 contain each a WD Caviar Black 2 TB SATA 3 HDD. They work without errors.
    3. I have purchased a third WD Caviar Black 2 TB HDD.
    4. In Drive Bay 2 there has been a Seagate 750 GB HDD, which worked in conjunction with all the other drives without error.
    5. I exchanged the Seagate HDD in Drive Bay 2 with the new WD Caviar Black 2 TB HDD.
    6. On starting the system, it will report to initialize the new drive.
    7. On trying to initialize the new drive with disk utility it reports the error [translated from German] "Erasing of the volume has failed. The device could not be opened."
    8. I thought that the drive is faulty. Thus I created an RMA-Case at WD. They exchanged the drive without problems.
    9. On getting the exchanged WD Caviar Black 2 TB drive I put it in Drive Bay 2 as before.
    10. On trying to erase and format the exchange drive I got the same error message "Drive could not be opened."
10.1 On selecting the physical drive in the devices list, disk utility reports all information in the bottom area of its window as usual, e. g. hard disk description, connection bus, type and place, capacity, write status, SMART-status, partition scheme.
10.1 On leaving that drive selected in the devices list and clicking the info-button, disk utility will also report additional information as usual, e. g. Name, Type, partition scheme, media-identification, media name, media type, device tree, … , number of relocated sectors, etc.. All this information appears to be valid, as can be compared to the other devices information inside the other Drive Bays. Also the disk numbering scheme appears to be standard - 4 HDDs give the numbering disk0, disk1, disk2, disk3.
10.2 From that information I conclude that the SATA-bus and connectors electrically work properly, the drive has spun up and can be accessed by the system normally.
    11. I powered down the computer, took out the HDDs from Drive Bays 3 and 4 and put the caddy with the new exchange drive in Drive Bay 4 [Maybe, I could have also just left it alone in Drive Bay 2, or 3].
    12. After powering on the system, disk utility will quick format the exchange drive without any error message. Also, when erasing again by selecting the option to write zeros to the drive, disk utility will finish without error.
    13. After disk utility finished formatting, I put back the original drives into Drive Bay 3 and 4 and put the now newly formatted drive back into Drive Bay 2.
    14. After switching on the computer the system start and login proceeds without any error message. All drives appear as expected on the desktop.

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

  • How can I set up my Mac Pro so that my wife and I can use our separate iTunes accounts? I keep getting an error message that the computer is already associated with an Apple ID even though the two accounts are associated with separate log ins!

I'm getting very confused with setting up multiple user accounts on my Mac Pro for my wife and I. We each have a separate iTunes account, and we want to keep our music libraries seaprate. I've set up two user accounts on the Mac Pro and I have my iTunes authorised and logged into my user account on my user account. Under my wifes user account (i.e. a separate log in on the computer) I'm trying to set up her iTunes account, but I can't download or play anything from the cloud - it just says "This computer is already associated with another iTunes Account" and tells me that if I 'transfer' then I won't be able to use the other one for 90 days! This is really annoying as my wife can't access music she has purchased on her iTunes account on the home machine. We're not trying to do anything dodgy, just access our music on our own accounts on separate log ins on the same machine. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Allan, thanks for that. I've already set up a log in for my wife and that is all working fine. The problem is that when she logs in and opens iTunes and trys to associate her library with her iTunes account she gets the error message "This computer is already associated with another iTunes account". Whilst this is true, the computer is associated with my iTunes account under my separate log in, which should have nothing to do with hers. If she transfers the association to her account it will lock me out of my content on my log in for 90 days - I'm trying to work out how to associate each of the log in accounts with a separate iTunes account so we can access our music independently of one another without locking each other out. Hope that makes sense!

  • HT1338 I have HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw and trying to install the driver on my mac pro; it gives me the error message that the driver is not available.

    Hi,
I have HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw and trying to install the driver on my mac pro; it gives me the error message that the driver is not available.

Typically this is caused by the internal list of compatible devices in the Mac being out of date.  All you should need to do is disconnect the printer from the Mac, run Apple Software Update (even if there are no updates, the list will still update), restart the Mac, connect the printer to the Mac, and add the print queue.  If that doesn't work, let me know.

That doesn't look like a complete panic report. Is there any more to it? Regardless, I suggest you run the extended form of the Apple Hardware Test. If it fails to identify a fault, remove the RAM upgrade and test with the original RAM.
