My trackpad-menu is empty. So i can´t config. How can i restore the menu?

Try creating the following soft-link and it should be ok :
# ln -s /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu.kde /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu

To print out an email, first click on the email from the inbox. Now that you're looking at the email viewing pane, you can click "More" > "Print" (as seen in first image below). It will print the email.
To find the sender's address, click on the sender's name (as seen in second image). A menu containing the address and other options to take will pop up. Mousing over the sender's name also shows the address.

Tab context menu on empty tab bar.

When right clicking on an empty area of the tab bar, I get a context menu to select which toolbars I want to show or to customise Firefox's layout. As I recall (and my muscle memory seems to agree) this used to bring up the tab context menu instead, allowing me to re-open closed tabs and the like. Is there any way to restore this functionality?

The Tab bar is a regular toolbar in current Firefox version (you can place toolbar buttons on it) and right clicking on empty space will open the toolbar context menu.<br />
You need to right-click a tab to get the Tab context menu.

"Open recent..." menu always empty

Hi,
since i run Mac OS X Leopard the File > "Open recent..." menu is always empty although i have set the number of Recent items to 15 in System Preferences.
I thought this could be due to permission problems but Disk Utility claims that everything is alright.
I highly appreciate any ideas to solve this, because this is really annoying.

IIRC, you have to set that within each application, using this Terminal command:
*defaults write com.XXXX."name of app" NSRecentDocumentsLimit YYY*
where XXX = company, "name of app" = self explanatory, and YYY is the desired integer value. E.g., for TextEdit, I used:
*defaults write com.apple.textedit NSRecentDocumentsLimit 30*
Relaunching TextEdit and you'll see File->Open Recent->shows last 30 opened documents.

Cinnamon Sound Applet Dropdown Menu Is Empty

Hi!
Sound Applet (volume) that sits in panel has a strange behavior. If no media player launched dropdown menu shows all the items:
Launch Player
Volume
Sound Settings
Output Device
But when I launching player all these items disappears and I getting an empty menu

Just installed Visual Studio express 2013. Start menu folder empty.

I just installed Visual Studio express 2013 For desktop. On to my windows 7, 64 bit laptop.
After it installs it asks you if you would like to launch the program. So I clicked launch. And it never launched.
Furthermore when I go Into my start menu. I find why the Visual Studio 2013 folder.
And it's empty.
So I went ahead and tried to reinstall Visual Studio express 2013.
After I reinstalled it I had to restart my computer. I have done that. And my start menu folder is still empty.
I have no way of finding the executable file for Visual Studio express 2013.
And if I could I'm not confident that it would launch.
I decided maybe I should uninstalled completely and reinstall it.
I went to control panel>uninstall a program.
I selected Microsoft Visual Studio express 2013.
And then I selected uninstall.
a window pops up that says. " Microsoft Visual Studio express 2013 for windows desktop has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly . Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.".
so I can't fully uninstall the program. And reinstalling the program doesn't help.
why is this happening. What do I do. How do I fix this?

Do you mean that you can't find VS2013 in the start menu? Please click "All Programs" in the start menu to see if you can find it.
If you still can't find it, could you please tell us how you install it? From the web installer or by the downloaded setup file? If you have the ISO image, I suggest you verify its checksum. Perhaps you need to re-download one. If you have no one, please

Once it matches the correct one, please make sure that your windows is patched up and disable the anti-virus software. At last, install VS.
What's more, it seems that you can't uninstall VS2013. If you want to uninstall it, you can use the setup file to uninstall it. Please double click it to open it, then you can choose to uninstall it in the pop up dialog.

Recent Items menu is empty

After upgrading to Snow Leopard all iWork 09 applications have disabled the "open recent" menu. Any way to fix that? Thanks, M

The fact that the list appear to be blank at first run is normal.
If it remains empty, something is odd in your computer.

Hp f4180 Scan destination Dropdown menu is empty.

Everything works fine, including the scanner. However after the image is scanned I get the message "An error occurred sending the scanned images to."
I go to scan settings and the dropdown menu for the scan destination is completely empty. So apparently there is no place for the image to go. I have reinstalled from the original cd. Updated the drivers as well. Any help would be appreciated. The unit works like a charm otherwise. Thanks!

Yesterday. Uninstalled the F4180 completely. Then I instated the Full Software packge form HP's website. The "HP Solution Center thenallowed me to select a destination and things worded correctly again.

My Conversion Settings Menu is empty?

Hi guys,
I was wondering if someone might have an idea what is going on with my project. I am trying to reconfigure the conversion settings I used when I imported my word document into Robohelp. When I go to Project Settings > Import Tab > Word Document Edit Button..., there is nothing appearing in the Paragraph, Character, Table, or Other Settings menu...
I wanted to reconfigure my pagination setup for a particular heading for my project, however, I cannot do that since nothing is being displayed in that Edit Conversion Settings menu. It looks like the image below:
I have no idea what is up with that.
If someone knows a solution, I would greatly appreciate it

I think the larger question here is how exactly is the "import" being done?
If you are simply importing content, you are in the wrong place for conversion settings. The dialog you pointed out is for when you are *LINKING* a Word document to establish an ongoing relationship where you repeatedly see ongoing edits to the Word content.
If all you are doing is importing (where you suck in the content, then discard the Word document and forget it ever existed as a doc file) you click File > Import and from the ensuing dialogs you get the conversion settings after clicking a button to open them.

Help Ipod Menu is empty of song names but files acessible thru iPod Control

Hi when I scroll to Ipod / Music / Artists etc. Nothing shows up. However when I view hidden folders and look in the Ipod_control/Music folder all the songs are still there listed in folders such as FE1 etc.
I've checked for the Itunes DB file in the itunes folder and this is all ok.
Anyone have any ideas

UseDefaultTile give-me a empty frame on Start Menu

Hello Everybody,
In a domain, I'm trying to put company logo as user picture.
I created a 128 x 128 bmp and saved it at "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\user.bmp".
To avoid users to change the picture I created the value on registry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"UseDefaultTile"=dword:00000001
After restart I'm getting an empty frame on start menu (I know the logon screen will have an empty frame, but I'm having empty frame on start menu and on lock screen).
If I change UseDefaultTile to "0" the picture is loaded normally on start menu and on lock screen, but user can change it.
Someone already has this problem?

I'm starting to think this is a bug of Windows VISTA.

Empty sub-menu bar style

i'm using adf 10.1.3.41.57 and i've skinned my application using the mycompany skin. however, when i have a top level menu that doesn't have and sub-menus the bar that holds the sub-menu items disappears. i've tried setting the property:

to no avail. the only thing i get is the background color, but no image is displayed. does anyone no of a way to display an image for the sub-menu when the sub-menu is empty?

actually, we're using jheadstart to generate the pages. the menu is generated in a region and here's the code below:

Podcasts do not show up under right menu

I downloaded a bunch of Podcasts for the first time. On iTunes they all show up under the "podcasts" menu.
However, when I sync them to the iPod, the Podcast menu is empty, and the podcasts are actually just scattered in with music. How do I fix this?

You have to select the "Sync All Podcast" setting. This is founded in you iTunes software, Open up your i tunes software and Click on your "Device". When the page opens you will see the headings at the top of the page. Click on Podcast and then slect the "Sync all podcast" feature. This will solve your problem.

How can I synchronize "bookmarks toolbar" and "bookmarks menu" ? They have different bookmarks now.

I just noticed that the firefox sidebar has an entry for "bookmarks toolbar" as well as "bookmarks menu".
somehow, there are differences between the bookmarks in the various subfolders though they are probably 90% identical. There are far too many to go through by sight (I have over a 1000 bookmarks).
1. Is there an easy way to synchronize the two locations ?
2. Or, if not a direct way, are there two separate folders for these two bookmarks locations in Windows so that I can synchronize the two folders with a folder synchronization application ?
I want to get all of my bookmars under "bookmarks menu" then empty out the bookmarks toolbar entirely. The resulting bookmarks will be uploaded to override the xmarks folder on their server.
I hope you can help.

:I did not mistake the Bookmarks menu on the toolbar. If you check the bookmarks menu on the toolbar (the equivalent button) and it is behind, look in the bookmarks sidebar and you will see the updated bookmarks. I doubt that destroying places.sqlite will fix the problem --but it will lose your history which would be far worse.
Look in the Bookmarks sidebar ("Ctrl+B"), you should see three main folders
# Bookmarks Toolbar
# Bookmarks Menu
# Unsorted Bookmarks
If you import bookmarks, all of the bookmarks you import will be added to the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu, which you may very well see as duplicates, if what you imported them from something similar to what you already had. That is what "newsplexer" appears to be seeing.
Previously in Firefox 2 Bookmarks Toolbar was "Personal Bookmarks" and was a folder in the "Bookmarks" folder, importing then placed imported material at the bottom of the Bookmarks folder, what happens now is imported material is added to the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu. If you have a "Bookmarks" folder and a "Bookmarks Toolbar" as a subfolder at the '''bottom''' of the Bookmarks Menu it is not the same, as the actual "Bookmarks Toolbar". The actual Bookmarks Toolbar is also shown as a flyout menu at the top of the Bookmarks menu (I don't know if it suffers from the same lag as the Bookmarks menu, fixed by restarting Firefox).
I find the Bookmarks menu to be almost useless and very slow, and inaccurate after making extensive changes, and instead use the Bookmarks sidebar to examine bookmarks and bookmark structure, and the Bookmarks Library List to examine detail. And even adding scrollbars to the Bookmarks menu does not make it very useable to me.
Firefox 6 attempted to put the Unsorted Bookmarks back into the Bookmarks menu at the bottom not as a flyout as was done for the Bookmarks Toolbar, but as a link to the Bookmarks Library List with "Unsorted Bookmarks" selected.

Start Menu Folder Redirection In Windows Server 2008 R2 (Via GPO) For Windows 7 Professional

server 2008 R2 and the clients are Windows 7 Professional; i am getting empty start menu.

This is normal, for we disabled the option
Move the contents of Start Menu to the new location. This option is enabled by default and it will automatically move the existing content to the new location.
At this moment, we can manually copy the files we want from the local locations.
