Trackpad not viewing correctly

my trackpad in sytem prefereces looks like this:
This is not the way it should look. It does not offer me the chance to make the Lion type changes I seek. I reinstalled Lion and still it made no differecne. Can anyone help

That explains everythnig but how do you know???
I use a MacBook
If I bought an external trackpad would I be able to do all the finger swiping?

PDF created from InDesign not viewing correctly in Firefox

I have exported PDF files to be uploaded to Firefox. When they are uploaded all drop shadows etc. turn blocky. Some fonts do not appear correctly. It is not always the same font and it will just be one line out of a paragraph. It appears to be that Firefox is not handling "over print" correctly. It views perfectly fine in Safari, Chrome, and IE. We have all tried viewing these pages in Firefox and some of us can view them fine, even those of us that are using the same version and operating system etc., one persons will view fine and the others not.

Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support. I'm sorry you're having issues viewing PDFs in Firefox. Are you using the Firefox's PDF viewer or do your PDFs open in Adobe Acrobat or another PDF viewer?

Did you create a new profile for that 4.0 beta version?
Do you still have the regular Firefox 3.6.8 version installed?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Trackpad not working correctly in Lion

So been waiting anxiously to download and did so this morning. I cannot get the gestures to work. Is the software not working properly or am I not holding my tongue correctly while using the trackpad on my core 2 duo machine.

After installing Lion on MacPro, I had no problems with trackpad, but than it suddenly stopped working. I realized that I have moved my trackpad to close to my MacBook pro and it got paired with it. Once I unpaired the trackpad with MacBook Pro, (in system preferences->Trackpad->Set Up Blootooth Preferences) and paired it with Mac Pro all was fine again. It might not apply to you, but it might help other people.

Table background not viewing correctly in Firefox

I am unable to figure out why, when viewd in Firefox, the
table on my website shows the background color of the page (Gray),
instead of the background color of the table (White)? Opera, Safari
and Explore seem to view it correctly. Thoughts anyone?

You've forgotten to put the hash marks in front of all your
colours
throughout your code. Thus background-color: FFFFFF; should
be
background-color: #FFFFFF; and so on.

Trackpad not working correctly.

My mac seems to have been taken over. The trackpad is not working properly and is opening up everything on the desktop. I've connected a wireless mouse via bluetooth and it does the same thing. It's almost as if it's possessed. Please help!

I load the Retina Macbook and the trackpad not working correctly

When I put the Macbook Retina to load the trackpad starts to fail, generate actions that we did not perform. I noticed that the MegaSafe charger is heating up too much during charging. When I remove the charger from the Macbook trackpad back to work properly.

The charger has to be replaced.

MacBook Pro trackpad not working correctly

The last few days my MacBook Pro track pad is not working properly. For instance the trackpad doesn't click (sometimes on left but not at all on the right side). The mouse clicks on things and drags them, basically is acting very annoying. I've press down on all the corners to make it work and can hear grit sounds under the trackpad e.g. Crumbs, also tried going round all the pad with my nails but not making any difference. I haven't got AppleCare but I bought it January/February

From what I understand, your trackpad on you MacBook Pro can be erratic and perform commands that you are not meaning for it to perform. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article to help troubleshoot this situation.

Trackpad not working correctly when plugged into AC power

When i am running on battery, the trackpad is great--when plugged in, it is very flakey, not smooth, sometimes freezing up...all in all pretty frustrating!
I have reset the power management unit, but it did not help.

Do you have any "hacks" installed your iBook? Try going to System Preferences > Energy Saver > Power Adapter (next to Settings For:) > Processor Performance > Try faster or reduced and see if one works better. What are you doing when this happens? Do you notice any patterns? You may want to look at Knowledge Base Document #17228 on Portables: Jumpy or Erratic Trackpad Operation and Knowledge Base Document #58389 on Your PowerBook and iBook's trackpad doesn't respond. Is the wall socket grounded? How can you tell if its electrical or static? What does it feel like? Try touching something metal to ground yourself before touching (bed frame) and see if you still get a shock. You should not get an electric shock from the button, if you do stop touching it. Bring it to your local Apple Store/Reseller.

Trackpad not working correctly on windows xp sp2 with bootcamp2.1

i have installed windows xp sp2 on my macbook and have installed bootcamp 2.1 from the dvd that came along.
now, in the boot camp control panel, secondary clicked is already enabled. however, i am not able to right click either using two fingers or using option+click in windows!
also, using two finger scroll i am able to scroll vertically but not horizontally.

i ran the software update and it had an update for the trackpad. i completed the update and now its working fine.

I've had several problems with pdfs not viewing correctly in ff-- how can we fix it?

on two seperate occasions, pdfs are rendering completely wrong within firefox (fine in other browsers and when the mozilla pdf is disabled).
in the first one, the color rendering is completely wrong. the background is navy blue and showing up as bright pink- http://imgur.com/J2se8rs

we dont want users to have a bad experience viewing our pdf's so please advise if there is anyway i can troubleshoot.

that solution will just fix the problem for me-- i want to fix the problem globally. we are sending this link to clients and it looks like we messed up making the pdf. is there anyway we can fix the pdf so no one using ff gets this bad looking pdf?

Times New Roman not viewed correctly in Safari

I cannot for the life of me figure out why pages using Times as the font are viewed in, what appears to be, an Indian font. I've turned off all the Indian fonts I can find in font book, and changed my font preferences in Safari to Verdana instead, but still nothing is working.
Anything else I can do?

I'll have to find a replacement font for Sutonny then.
Is this a non-Unicode Bengali font? If so, hopefully someone has made one that doesn't just hack TNR or some other common Latin font.
If you are able to use Unicode, which is definitely the way to go since it is the international standard, the font you would use is here:

I see the same results on my macintosh 10.9 and 10.6 (Safari and Firefox) and also Windows 8 (Explorer). Do you think it is a browser issue and not a Dreamweaver issue? The picture you've attached also shows it corrupted at the bottom.

The short answer: your example is <b>NOT</b> going to work. The long answer will probably 5 pages to describe. So first let me rewrite the example so that it could work, and then give a short version of the long answer. Do not be disappointed if it is not totally clear. It is rather complicated. You can see that your ENDIF statements are closing IF blocks generated by the BSP compiler. Such a nesting will not work. This is a very short form of the problem, there are a number of variations, and different types of the same problem.
The only way to solve this problem, is probably to put the body into a page fragment and include it like I did above with the duplicate HelloWorld strings. But this duplicates source code. Better is to put body onto a view, that can be processed as required.
