Hello ryken,
Please try removing and reinstalling BlackBerry® Messenger. Go into Options> Device> Application Management> Remove BBM™ and then reinstall from the Browser at www.BlackBerry.com/bbm.
Thanks.

  • Trackpad freezing

    Hello everyone,
My 2 1/2 year-old Macbook Pro is having issues with its trackpad. It freezes up everytime I touch it, causing me to have to hit the power button and restart the computer. Thankfully I have an external mouse so I haven't really attempted to deal with the problem since it began sometime in July, but it is still annoying because I will sometimes touch the trackpad on accident and then be forced to restart. I installed Lion on it so I'm wondering if the problem could be related to that? Maybe something in the settings? Unfortunately I can't recall if this started happening immediately after I installed Lion (which was about a week after it was released), or if it was later, but it was definitely AFTER I installed Lion.
    Please help!

    Hello Mariettej69

  • Trackpad

hi my trackpad is dead...not working at all...please help. i tried the trackpad sensitivity....before the complete breakdown.....please help!!!!!!!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Best!

  • Curve 9360 TrackPad gone bust what to do?

Hi guys I've had my BB curve 9360 for around 2 months now, recently the trackpad started not working I've tried all of the methods such as taking out sim memory card battery etc these all worked temporarily but did not fix the issue.
These methods have finally stopped working and my trackpad light doesn't come on at all now, I think it's tracking functions have come to an 'end', it does click to open things but it doesn't scroll so as you can imagine almost impossible to navigate on my phone. Having to use the search function to find things now, but it's hell trust me...
I have tried looking online for a replacement trackpad but because this phone is still fairly new I have been unable to find a replacement OEM replacement. All I see on ebay and other online sites is trackpads for other curves not this one...
I am wondering if a curve 9300 3g trackpad would work or if anyone can tell me the best thing to do cause this is a real nuisance for me, I love this phone but right now I can't do a thing with it...
Is the 9360 trackpad any different from the one used in the 9300 3g?
    Thank you guys

OK, so you really don't have any warranty, having bought the device used.
I don't know who will have the parts if those two links do not.

  • Touchscreen and trackpad won't work after installing new OS

i want to ask why that after i upgraded my os, and during the start up when i have to scroll down the aggrements text  my trackpad and my touchscreen won't work. is that any way to solve this problem? i beg you to answer my question please. i would be very grateful. thanks

Did you actually upgrade to OS 7.0 or to OS 7.1?
What OS were you previously on that you want to downgrade to?
For the application in question, go to Options > Device > Application Management. Find the app and delete it.
Now, go back to AppWorld and install it again and see if it works correctly.
For most apps that I know of, if they worked correctly on OS7, they will be fine on OS7.1

  • Curve 9300 trackpad

Hi, can anyone help me please with my phone? Sometimes, while scrolling down, the cursor jumps to the top of the screen. Sometimes while trying to select an app it jumps up one or two. Is there anything that I can do to fix this myself?

I'm not sure how tape will help.  If there is a physical problem with the trackpad, I don't know of a quick fix besides going to a repair shop or store.

  • Trackpad in 9300 not working properly

    Hi everyone
I need someone's help so please reply if you can help me.
I've got bb 9300 (white) and I didn't use it for long time. Now the trackpad is working only UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT but I cannot do anything else. I have bought new trackpad from eBay and replace them and again the same situation, trackpad only working UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT.
I was thinking that maybe the trackpad I've bought from eBay was not the right one for my bb 9300.
How should I choose the right tackpad for my device?
Hope someone will answer my question.
    Many thanks.
    Claudiaa

You can try buying one from amazon:
    http://www.amazon.com/Blackberry-9300-9330-Original-Trackpad/dp/B008UV1U2I
If that doesn't work, you will have to replace the device or take it to a repair shop.  There could be some other hardware issue that is causing the problem.  I recommend the repair shop first because the trackpad from ebay is doing the same thing.

  • URGENT!! TRACKPAD ISSUE!!

My blackberry is two months old and my trackpad is scrolling up on its own!!!!!!
    What do i do!
     #FRAUSTRATED!

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:
With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescirbed for most gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
Let us know if it continues to do this.

  • Blackberry Curve 9630 trackpad!!!!!

I've had my Blackberry since December 25th, 2011, and it's worked fine up until today. The trackpad won`t scroll, but still clicks. When I used to go into my settings to adjust the sensitivity, it said "Trackpad sensitivity" but now it says "Trackball sensitivity". I've taken the battery out, the SIM card, the memory card, etc., but it still won't work. When the problem started, whenever I touched the trackpad, the phone would freeze and restart. How do I fix it?

Sounds like a hardware problem.  I would first report this to the carrier or take it to the store for repair / replacement options.  Also, the phone does have a one year warranty from RIM.

  • Trackpad stoppped working

So I updated to the latest OS from Telus for my 9810. I want the hotspot capability. My problem is the trackpad stopped responding ater I updated.  no probelm I roll back and everything works fine. update again and same issue.
Anyone know where there is an updated OS for the 9810 that has the hotspot working AND the trackpad still works? I am getting seriously cheesed off and have NO desire to upgrade since I am only half way through my contract and it will cost me a fortune to upgrade to a Z10

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I do not know what OS packages have exactly what you require, but you can try them all until you find the one that works. To do so, start at the top of each device forum -- there should be some "sticky" threads that discuss the OS levels available for many models. If they include your model, then please use those as reference as you proceed. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the official download portal for OS packages for your model:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
KB19915How to perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software
Good luck and let us know!

  • URGENT!!! Cant send pictures on BBM

    Hello everyone,
My bbm was working fine for a year, but since last month, i cannot send pictures ... I tried to google it alot, normally the things that come up suggest that I need to resize the image etc etc ... but my problem is different ... When i choose a picture to send it ... there r two buttons i m supposed to choose from ... "Send" and "Cancel" ... I keep moving my trackpad but it never goes to the "send", it only highlights the cancel button ... Its like its not even an option ... I used to send pictures just fine before, dont know whats up with it now ... I cant even highlight "send" apart from choosing it as an option ... Plz help ... I have tried deleting bbm, re installing it, everything worked fine but still, cant send pictures ...
    Plz help ...

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
Now, try the send option again.
If it still does not work, you need to call the technical support for your mobile carrier and tell them to have this issue escalated to RIM level tech support.

    Go to Solution.

    Hi there cherylakashortee,
Out of curiosity, have you tried a battery pull yet? While the phone is on, simply remove the battery, for good measure, wait a full minute, then reinsert the battery and wait for the device to reboot.
Does that help? If not, let us know what operating system you're running on your phone. You can get this info under Options > Device > About Device Versions, or by typing "myver" in a text box (e.g. email or BBM).
