Trackpad scrolling not working, Windows 7 64 bit

I'm not sure if it's just a crappy driver on Apple's part or what. I'm using an early 2011 MacBook Pro 13" with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. The trackpad works well most of the time, but sometimes the trackpad loses two finger scrolling and right click. It normally happens when it's resuming from sleep and also when plugging a USB mouse. Any help would be great.

I have exactly the same on 2011 MBP 13, with Windows 7 Pro 32 bit under bootcamp. I also lose a bluetooth attached mouse in same circumstances.
Does not happen on OSX on the same machine.
Any help anyone???

  • Horizontal trackpad scrolling not working

Just got a new MacBook (white, 2.1GHz, OS 10.5.6) and am getting used to it. But I have discovered that the horizontal two-finger scrolling on the trackpad does not work. (I know how this is supposed to work, 'cause it worked fine on my old 1.83GHz MacBook).
I know about the button in the trackpad control panel. If it's checked, attempts to scroll horizontally result in strange vertical scrolling. If it's unchecked. vertical scrolling returns to normal.
    Any help?

Any way to intentionally disable it? Can you recall that program now? I want to buy it.
I cannot stand horizontal scrolling and gesture resizing in Safari. You used to be able to turn horizontal scrolling in 10.5.4.
I just find every time I scroll down a webpage or document, my hand must lean a little to the right and I end up not being able to read the document or page.
    Is ANNOYING!
    (To me at least.)

  • Magic trackpad scrolling not working new iMac 5k

I just received my new iMac with Trackpad included and the two finger scrolling is not working.  I have verified settings, made sure I am in a scrollable window with the cursor, tried turning on and off natural scrolling and other options to no avail.  I did transfer from my old iMac and it is possible there was something on it that was interfering.  I did delete the software for my old mouse.  I am at a loss for what to try next but am very frustrated and disappointed that this is not working.

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

  • Trackpad scrolling not working in Muse

Trackpad for scrolling (Mac) doesn't pan around for plan or design modes in Muse. This does work for Ai, Id, etc. Is this a Muse problem? Is the hand tool (h) the only alternative?

I use a trackpad on my macbook and my imac, it might not pan left and right but it really is not that big a deal. It doesn't take much effort to drag the scroll bar over. They will fix it when they fix it I guess. If it has been a problem since day one than it must be more than a simple bug fix since they roll out bug fixes and new features ever few months.

  • Mac 10.9 trackpad scroll not working - reprise

    Hello,
This is a reprise of the bug show here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/976644
My trackpad today started to randomly stop being able to two finger scroll up or down. Like the OP I found exiting and entering temporarily restores scrolling for a short time. I'm unsure how to fix this. Am I alone, or is anyone else having this same issue?
I have a late 2013 Macbook Pro using OSX 10.9.3 and Firefox 30.

I had this issue a few months back, and its just came back again. It's need an ongoing issue for a number of years I'm just amazed it is still a problem that neither Apple or Mozilla are able to fix.

  • My trackpad is not working in bootcamp 4.0 with windows 7

I just purchased an iMac and upgraded to Lion.  I then created a bootcamp partician and installed Windows 7 Professional.  Everything went smoothly until the trackpad driver was installed.  It failed.  The trackpad will not work.  I have tried to add it through the Bluetooth interface, but I get the eternal circle of **** from Microsoft...Not much of an improvement on the old hourglass of ****.  Anyway, please help get this driver updated for bootcamp so I can use my trackpad.

I think that has always been a problem at times. though surprised.
I would assume disabling and then reinstalling or along those lines.
Uninstall the driver Apple has or see if you can "rollback" in Device Manager.
Startup items from msconfig would be one place.
I assume you can do a safe boot / boot from Windows DVD and restore to point prior to this / if you have Snow Leopard use 3.0 thru 3.2 drivers instead

Hi guys, yesterday my macbook probably suffered electrical shock and now my trackpad is not working properly, it's a bit slow and my battery won't charge. and also ethernet port is not working but wi-fi is , can you help me please ?

    Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
If this does not help, you may have to take the computer to the Apple store to have the computer and battery checked out.
    Best.

  • Mac scroll not working after update

Seemingly after upgrading to the latest version (23.0.1), scrolling with my MacBook Pro's Trackpad is not working. I've reset, disabling all add-ons, which has not corrected the problem. If someone knows how I can fix this issue, please let me know. If not, does anyone know how I can go back to the previous version without losing my data? All feedback is greatly appreciated!

Hmmm. Don't seem to have that pref. Thanks for the input though.

  • Keyboard and trackpad are not working, Keyboard and trackpad are not working

I'm using MBP 15" late 2008 with Maverick OS. A couple of days ago, the internal keyboard and trackpad are not working at all. I did all the troubleshooting. I even reformat it; installing the snow leopard and re-installing the maverick but no good result. I believe there's no problem with my keyboard because i can still do PRAM on my lappy. Everytime i'm booting up my MBP, it always looking for bluetooth trackpad and keyboard. I have not used those bluetooth peripherals from day 1 i've started using MBP. I just read on the internet about the same problem has happened on MBP 13" retina and APPLE fixed it by updating the software. I wish Apple will also do something for the old MBP to fix the intermal keyboard and trackpad problem.

  • My mac fall and now the trackpad is not working?

So today my macbook fall and the bottom left part of the trackpad is not working . I can still move the cursor, but if I click on the bottom left corner of the trackpad, I cannot tap the other trackpad part, it will not respond. To make it respond again, I need to click on the bottom right corner of the trackpad,  so I can tap the other trackpad parts. In short, I must TAP to click, I can't click on the bottom left corner. The secondary click (bottom right corner or two fingers tap) works fine.
There's no Apple Store in my city (or even country, I live in Indonesia), I just have an Apple Reseller on my city. What do I need to do?

I have no idea what the "freezer fix" is, nor why anyone would think temporary exposure to cold will somehow fix a hardware issue with a 100% solid state device.  Also, actually freezing your iPhone may very well itself cause damage.
If you dropped it and wifi immediately failed to work, the odds are you inflicted physical damage to it - perhaps the antennae connection internally.  You could try a simple reset and see if that helps, but if not, you need to take it into Apple for an evaluation and diagnosis.
If it has internal damage, since you dropped it, your warranty no longer applies.  Apple does not repair iOS devices, the merely swap them for factory refurbished units (and send your damaged one back to the manufacturer in China for refurbishment or recycling).  You would ahve to pay the out of warranty replacement fee (look on your country's Apple web site, under support for the iPhone for fees).

  • Macbook Air Late 2010 model, 10.6.7, 2.13 4g ram. Trackpad is not working properly and in sometimes not at all.

Macbook Air Late 2010 model, 10.6.7, 2.13 4g ram. Trackpad is not working properly and in sometimes not at all. Need suggestions to resolve this issue?  I have applied all Mac updates and still having problems with the trackpad.

The machine has a 1 year warranty, book an appointment with your local Apple Store or AASP to have it looked at.
You can try doing a SMC reset however I don't think that is the solution.
    SMC RESET
    • Shut down the computer.
    • Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
    • On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-• Option keys and the power button at the same time.
    • Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
    • Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    • Shut down the computer.
    • Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    • Turn on the computer.
    • Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
    • Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    • Release the keys.

My trackpad is not working properly sometimes and it takes too long for my macbook to open
