Hi, there are tracks in nwdi and need to do mofification if requriement and want to deploy the trackinto new server from old server? how to deploy the tracks in new server from old server?

Error While Creating Runtime Systems on an Existing Track in NWDI

Hi,
There is already a track in NWDI with No runtime Systems.
I have to create the RunTime Systems to do development on this track.
When I try to select the Development checkbox in Runtime systems,
select configure without wizard, Gave   Deploy Host name: **********.com
            Deploy Port :50018 (SDM port)
           Deploy PSWD: SDM Pswd
It gives me a warning..
Synchronization of Runtime System triggered for system dev. Log can be found at

When i go to the log file
I see this Error Message
20100813180502 Info   :cannot create a connection for the buildspace: EPQ_WHRBD_D //connect to deploy tool failed:Server <Host Name> did not accept login request as admin on port 50018. Details: ERROR: Could not establish connection to <Host name> at port 50018: Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address
Can you please tell me what could be the Reason.
Basis has already opened the Ports : http port and SDM Port.
I am able to ping the server from cmd prompt.
Points will be allocated for the answer.

There's no need to update CMS or to check whether the buildspace is open, do not click on JSPM flag (unless you need nwdi control at upgrade)...
The error message means only that from the host where you configure the RTS the SDM cannot be reached or logon request cannot be accepted.
This can be either , because the
- SDM password is wrong (you checked it already)
- the port is wrong (you also checked it. If this is really a 700 RTS, i.e. it has SDM, and the instance number is 00, then the port is really 50018, so this should be fine as well. Only mention, because as of 71X we use the P4 port 5<xx>04 for the deploy controller, as there's no more SDM). Still you can use "netstat -a" to see the status of the ports.
- The host is wrong. I agree with Dao, check not only FQDN, but also IP address.

Conflict for a XI track in NWDI on the assembly tab

Dear friends,
I have defined a XI track in NWDI/CMS. But on Assembly tab I get a conflict error. The log message is:

The following logs exist for the assembly step:
●      Check-assembly: Checks whether the prerequisites for a successful assembly exist. The following individual checks are performed:
○       Are there open build requests in the buildspace?
○       Are there open conflicts in the workspace?
○       Are there any broken DCs in the build compartment?
○       Are there any dirty DCs in the build compartment?
○       Are there any problem DCs in the build compartment?
○       Are there any pending activities that are not yet completely activated?
For detailed monitoring of a central build, use the Web UI of the Component Build Service (CBS).

If the track deletion in CMS should fail for some reason, CBS administrators can delete a buildspace manually.
       1.      Start the CBS Web UI.
       2.      Navigate to the Buildspaces view.
       3.      Select a buildspace to delete.
       4.      Choose Delete.

How to Create Track in NWDI for CRM ISA 5.0

can anyone please suggest me how to create track in NWDI for CRM ISA 5.0 for different archive files which consists of source files like(ex: SAP-SHRAPP.SCA,SAP-SHRWEB.SCA, e.t.c.) and as well as empty source files like(ex: SAP-SHRAPP.SCA,SAP-SHRWEB.SCA, e.t.c.).
As far as i know SAP does not deliver sources for SCs SAP-JEE,SAP_BUILDT and SAP_JTECHS so we cant have them as "Developed Software Components" when we eg:want to modify the SCs SAP-SHRAPP.SCA or CUSTCRMPRJ.SCA.
here what i want to know is depending on which SCs we actually want to modify, based on that our track want to be Configured differently.
My question is how to configure the Track in NWDI for this kind of scenario.
If the source is not given and only required software components are given then how to create track in NWDI. for example in CRM ISA 5.0

CMS track problem (NWDI)

I need to modify Web User Interface (component SAP-CRMWEB)
I make track with "Modify a Software Component" wizard (NWDI), than I add this track to NWDS.
And here are the questions:
1. I do not have "Development Configuration Perspective" in NWDS, but I have "Development Infrastructure Perspective" instead. Is it ok? Guide tells to do a few steps, including u201CInactive DCu2019su201D Panel, and I do not have one!
2. No components in the imported track in NWDS. Nothing to modify!
3. In CMS new track is marked as waiting for assembly and component SAP-CRMWEB as "developed". Why?

We created 3 tracks(A,B,C) in our NWDI.
However,
1) only one track( track A) is showing up;
2) Developers can check in their code into TrackB and TrackC without
error messages BUT we cannot see the code change any where.
So TrackB and C are existing but invisible.

DC Creation Problem in MSS track in NWDI

Hi all,
I have created a Development Configuration in my studio and can see all the MSS DCs, create a local project, check out the existing DCs in the Track etc.. I have NWDI administrator access and can also log into CMS and DTR. But when I tried to create a new DC (For a brand new custom development) in the MSS Software Component of the same track, I am getting "DC creatin failed error". Can any one suggest me what are the permissions I need to have to create a new DC and if any setting needed in CMS or DTR. Any pointers will be highly appriciated.

Export/Import track from nwdi

Hi experts
I need to export some Track and Development configuration from one NWDI server to another server.
Is there some way to do it?
I tried to export it from NWDS, get the *.export file, but when I try to load it to other NWDI, I get error cause the settings (locations, paths, names) point to the old SLD values.

Unable to check in .sda file for ess in the track for NWDI

Hi Gurus;
We have created the track and added the three dependencies along with PCUI_GP.We have imported these into the track.
However after placing the .sda file for ess under Jtrans/CMS/Inbox folder and adding it as software component to the track through Landscape Configurator we are unable to get the ess component under the checkin tab of the track in CMS. Please suggest why this is happening?

Help needed for importing the DC's from NWDI track very urgent

Hi all,
I am importing a DC from NWDI tracks.
I imported DC from NWDI with out any problem but i am unable to create a project
it shows an error while i am creating the project for DC in inactive DC's.
error message is :
Failed to sync DC "**.##/lpt/absencerequest/*.##_LPT_**_OPUS_FRAVAER_WEBDYNPRO_1)" in configuration
"JC0_DLPT0003_D". File "C:\Documents and Settings\****\.dtc\1\DCs\**.##\lpt\absencerequest\_comp\.dcdef" does not exist locally after sync but it exists on the server
can you plese tell me why its happening as soon as possible
it is a LEAVE REQUEST application in ESS

Recently i worked on ESS business package and faced lot of probelem to bring the track from NWDI into NWDS. Most of the times the probelms are from importing only. Make sure that whether the DCs which you want to modify is getting imported properly or not. mean the while check the path of the local directory .. whether it is correct or wrong..
re import the components once and try to create the porject in local directory.
to to Work spave -> local directory -> .dtc -> 0 or 1 ( folder) -> DCS -> bin ->

Issues and Trouble shooting steps in NWDI Track

Issue: Getting below error while saving the track in NWDI.
ERROR: SLD name-server configuration error: More than one name server configured in SLD
The message may also look as follows:
Unexpected error; inform your system administrator: < Localization failed:ResourceBundle='com.sap.cms.util.exception.CMSExceptionMessages' ,ID='SLD name-server configuration error', Arguments: [] > : Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key SLD name-server configuration error. Please read SAP Note: 1118009.
Solution: As per SAP Note 1118009,
1. Log on to the SLD used by CMS with SLD administrator authorization.(The address of the SLD used by CMS is contained in CMS WebUI in the Landscape Configurator in the domain data).
2. Navigate to 'Administration -> Content Maintenance -> Subset:Landscape Description and Class: System Landscape Directory (or SAP_SystemLandscapeDirectory)
3. At least two System Landscape Directories should now be found.
4. Choose the first SLD to view the details. If the entry 'Name Server'exists under 'Roles, this SLD acts as name server.
5. Return to the overview screen and choose the next SLD. Does this SLD also act as name server?
6. Proceed until you know which SLDs act as name server.
7. Since CMS accepts only one name server, you must decide which of the specified SLD servers should act as a name server in future.
8. Once you have decided, remove the role 'Name Server' from all other SLDs. To do this, select the SLD server, and, under 'Roles' remove the role 'Name Server'. Save all of your changes.
9. At the end, only one SLD server should have the 'Name Server' role.You can now save tracks in CMS again.

Moving VC applications to NWDI track..

Hope you have configured
1) a Track in NWDI and Software component in process of creating a track.
2) U have done all the required configurations in your CE server to show the Track content in VC 7.1
3) user has dtr account.

Now,
Just create a DC in local repository, create a model under the DC. Right click on DC and select "Add to Source Contorl"... DC will move to Software component of ur NWDI track. After this just check in the DC.
