Tracks suddenly not being heard in master volume.

Can see tracks moving. No ducking on , no mutes either. Can't figure out why I can't hear tracks. At one point I pressed stop button and for a split second I could hear volume??
Imported an mp3 to see if I could hear that in another track. But couldn't
I've used Mac Book pro output and my KB37. I'm also using Gearbox.
Other projects seem to work fine.
Would really apreciate any help !
Thanks CT

Hi there and thank you
Yes actually I tried that , but eventually I resorted to copying the tracks to a new project.
There appeared to be a corrupted file(s) which stopped master volume.
The answer came here:

  • Ringtone not being heard

    Hello,
I have UCCE solution deployed and running. Typical comprehensive call flow is used. Caller goes through IVR self-service and then chooses to speak to an agent.
The issue i'm facing is that after the customer chooses to speak to an agent, the ringtone is not being heard while the agent's phone rings. I have checked the GW config (dial-peer - application/service - tcl scripts on flash).
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Justine.

    Hi Justine,
    Here is a good (older) reference. You should already have the ringback.wav file on board;
    Q. How do I make the Music on Hold (MOH) as a ringback tone when using Cisco CallManager with IPCC?
    A. When an ICD call rings an agent, the caller is put on hold by the CallManager. At this point, the CallManager MOH can be used to play a ringback tone to the ICD caller while waiting for the Agent to answer the phone. In order to set this up, you need to configure all the CTI ports Network Hold Audio Source as the wav file (ringback.wav) you want to play during the consult transfer.
Note: Make sure that the ringback.wav file is in the CallManager server and configured appropriately. There is a ringback.wav file in IPCC
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_qanda_item09186a0080094766.shtml#foura
This can be applied to the CTI Ports via the Device Pool (Network Hold MOH Audio Source) so it won't have any effect on other IP Phones. Also, leave the Network/User Hold Audio Source as standard for the Agent phones so that when they put someone on Hold the standard Audio MOH Source is played.
    Cheers!
    Rob

Mail suddenly not being received from server. The ISP tells me there's nothing wrong at his end. I can see emails on the server if I look up WebMail; they don't come into Mail. I haven't changed anything lately. The incoming server details haven't changed; the Connection Doctor shows the accounts are connected; I've turned everything off including the modern. Have exhausted my limited knowledge. Anyone with something similar?

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in  mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.
I am starting to believe that Apple is Satan.

  • Ipod classic suddenly not being recognized on PC

    Hi,
My ipod classic (7th gen) used to work fine and was recognized on my PC and in iTunes. BUT now it has suddenly stopped being recognized on the PC. My other ipod classic works fine and is recognized by the PC and iTunes as soon as I plug it in (same dock with the same lead), so it can't be anything to do with the lead / USB / dock.
I have tried resetting the ipod, uninstalling & reinstalling iTunes, to no avail.
    Can anyone please help?!
    I use Windows 8.1 (64-bit).

  • Field not being updated in Master Data table

    Hi guys,
I'm pulling data from master data in BW... specifically 0ven_compc. I haven't added any new fields to this maser data table, and one field that I'm trying to pull is not being populated. In the master data table this field is blank, but in the PSA there are values. Somehow the values are not being loaded into the master data table. I've checked the transfer rules and communication structure and everything looks fine. Why is this happening?
    Thanks,
    Anthony

    Hi Anthony,
The problem may be that there is an inconsistency with the target master data infoobject. Please make a dummy change to the target infoobject (i.e you can change the description), save this change and then click on the activate icon. Please then check if the field is filled with the next load.
If the problem still exists please let us know your BI version and support package level.
    Best Regards,
    Des.

I am making scheduling errors now because appointments made on my laptop are not being pushed onto my iphone. It has been working fine until suddenly...and I don't know if or what I would have changed to bring this about.

    Hi livielu2008,
Try highlighting the movie in iTunes> cilck File> Get Info, and verifying you are authorizing the computer with correct account.

  • Suddenly not being able to connect to Airport Express

Hi - I am suddenly not able to connect to my Airport Express, which I use to connect to my home theater for music playing. The light is green, I rebooted it, and in fact, when I disconnect and reconnect the base, I can briefly see it in the admin utility. After that it disappears. Airtunes does not detect it either. This happened all of a sudden. The only new thing is that I added two new computers to my wireless network, both with Windows Vista. I had to make some sort of update to my XP computer in order to be able to conect to these computers. Could that have anything to do with this? The error code I am getting is 6753. Thanks!

I installed the software in another computer, and it's not working at all (this is one of the new computers with Vista).
Unfortunately, version 4.2 is not compatible with Vista, although I understand that some have found a work around by running it in WinXP-compatible mode. I believe version 5.x does, however, it's not available as a download.
The following is a workaround for Vista from another Discussions member ...
    1. You will need a program called Less_MSIerables:
    http://blogs.pingpoet.com/overflow/archive/2005/11/16/14995.aspx
    2. Download it to your desktop
Unzip that file (Should end up in your unzipped file folder)
    3. Now, download Airport Extreme (works for Airport Express, too) software:
    http://wsidecar.apple.com/cgi-bin/nph-reg3rdpty2.pl/product=14697&cat=1&platform =osx&method=sa/AirPort521Update.exe
    4. Use a program like winrar or winzip to uncompress that file to a new folder
    5. Next go to the folder in which you saved the unzipped version of Less_Msierables
    6. In a subfolder you will see a file called Lessmsi.
    7. Right-click on this file
    8. Go to properties.
    9. Go to compatability.
    10. Run in XP Mode
    11. Apply
    12. OK
    13. Again right-click on icon.
    14. Run as administrator.
    15. Then click on the ... button to browse to the folder you uncompressed the AirPort521Update (adjust for whatever version they happen to be on)
    16. You will see a list of many files, but the one of the first will be APUtil.exe.
    17. Extract this file to a location that you can easily find.
    18. A file folder will appear with a name like cab#APSetup.cab1
    19. Open that file folder and you will see a file APUtil.exe
    20. Click on that file, and the admin utility will open. You should be able to find your airport device.

  • Sustain midi notes not being heard in playback

CC 64 is the correct CC controller number sent by the sustain pedal that should be listed in the Event editor for each sustain pedal press...
    Controller events[edit]
In MIDI, adjustable parameters for each of the 16 possible MIDI channels may be set with the Control Change message, which has a Control Number parameter and a Control Value parameter.
    1 Modulation wheel
    7 Volume
    10 Pan
    11 Expression
    64 Sustain pedal
    100 Registered Parameter Number LSB
    101 Registered Parameter Number MSB
    121 All controllers off
    123 All notes off

In the screenshot below the red boxes show sustain on/pressed.. and the blue boxes show sustain off/released
Note also the midi channel being the same midi channel as the notes.. in this case Midi Ch #1
Make sure yours shows up the same way in the event editor for the midi region you have recorded sustain in...

  • TS1369 iPod Classic suddenly not being recognized in iTunes on MacBook Pro

I just got a new MacBook Pro a few weeks ago, and have had no issues connecting my iPod Classic to it via iTunes. Yesterday, however, my iPod stopped registering in iTunes. I checked in the System Reports on my MacBook, and I can see that the USB Hub is acknowledging that the iPod is there, AND the iPod is charging when connected so I know it's not a connection issue with the cord, however the iPod still isn't registering in iTunes. If I plug up my iPhone, though, it shows up so it's likely not the computer either. My iPod is working fine and has been connecting fine until yesterday morning when it suddenly just didn't apear anymore. I need to fix it ASAP! Help!

  • ?harddrive error; skipping all tracks and not being recognised in itunes

I have a 3rd generation ipod which has been working fine until recently. I was transferring some music on to my ipod using a usb 1.0 cable (my laptop doesn't have usb2.o or firewire), and the ipod battery died midway through the file transfers. On recharging, my ipod immediately shows the apple logo without the backlights on, when i connect it to the power supply, but then takes 2-3 minutes for the background to light up, and the start menu to appear. The ipod runs very slowly between screens, but it appears that all my tracks are still there (i have my ipod set to manual transfer, as it has a 40gb harddrive, and my laptop only has 30gb, so i cannot keep copies in itunes). When i select a track to play, it will not, and it automatically skips through all the tracks without starting any of them. I have found that if you drag the timer along a few seconds into the song, it will then start at that point and play though all the songs without problems. If you pause a song though, the problem starts again when you press play. I have now come to my parents computer, which has a huge harddrive and tried to attach my ipod to sort the problem, and it doesn't even recognise that my ipod is connected, though the ipod screen says do not disconnect. I have previously uploaded lots of music using my parents computer and never had any problems. When i look in My Computer, the ipod is recognised as h drive, and all the main folders are shown, but i cannot open them. Sorry I'm a bit longwinded, but in summary... the ipod died midway through file upload; its set to manual transfer; it is taking 2-3 minutes to turn on; it skips through all the songs without even starting them, though all the songs are there and still work if you move the timer along a bit; plus it now won't even be recognised by itunes. I'd be really grateful for some advice, as there are 6000 songs on my ipod, and i don't have copies of many of them anywhere else. Thank You in Advance x
    3G 40gb   Windows XP

Try hitting your iPod on the side 2 or 3 times. Its possible that your hard drive is "stuck" and hitting it will loosen it. Don't do it so hard that you break it though.
If this doesn't work, you can take others generic suggestions such as reset, etc. But I think you should either send it to Apple with $59 for a replacement or donate it to me if you'd rather buy a new one.

  • First ~0.15s of sound file not being heard

I made a test sound file in LMMS which plays arpeggios. The first note in the file is not heard when I try to play it with aplay, mplayer or mpd. This means the first ~0.15 seconds are skipped. I tried exporting the file as a Microsoft WAV and an ogg vorbis with same results.
When I open the file with audacity, I can see and hear the first note:
Do you know why audacity plays the "real" sound file, while other programs (mplayer, mpd, aplay) don't?
    1. If it's a problem with those specific programs, is there a program that will play a sound file from the beginning from the command line?
    2. If it's something I've set up wrong, what do I need to fix?
I'd like to be able to play a very short sound (about 0.1s), but those programs only play silence!

You have the same problem as me and another user.

I think it's alsa. But I don't really know what is wrong with it.

  • Cannot install any new apps due to HD not being recognised as a volume

    Hi there,
I've been trying to install several new applications for a while now, and after the license agreement screen, the option to select the HD as destination is skipped (the HD isn't even shown as an option) and I immediately get the message saying that there isn't enough free space on the selected volume "null".
It's clearly not a space issue as I have 20GB free.
I was on the phone to apple care for an hour and we repaired disk permissions and the disk verifies fine (from the installation CD), so I have no idea what is wrong.
I'm just installing with the .dmg files on the desktop, and opening the disks from there. This has always worked in the past, as the applications are then transferred to the applications folder. I've even tried installing from there too, to no avail.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Lauren

I see you've done some of this already, but offer the full route anyway, maybe you can start with the Safe Boot part...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates again, or even do an A&I if you have enough free disk space.
An Archive & Install, which gives you a new OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc...

  • IPod Nano 5th Gen Help: When I connect my iPod to my PC it seems to connect fine and show as normal until I load up itunes. Why is it suddenly not being recognized once my itunes is loaded?

Hello, I've been working at this for hours but have made little to no progress in fixing my issue.
So when I plug my ipod in via usb into my computer the autoplay starts and it connects as an iPod. I can see it when I open up "Computer" and everything seems to be running fine. I'm not getting any errors or anything.
However, the moment itunes starts up, whether it be manually started or starting automatically through the helper, my symbol for safely removing falls off of my screen and I can no longer see the ipod in "Computer". Though I may be able to see it in Printer and Devices.
I've already gone through several steps to try and fix it via support on this site. I've reinstalled itunes, I've gone into disk mode, I've reset the ipod, unplugged it and replugged it in. My last option is to restore to factory defaults. As much as I would love to do this to see if it works (as all my music is backed up on discs and my computer), I can't do so if it isn't showing in itunes due to the fact it can't detect the ipod or at least the kind of ipod. I've tried to find a 3rd party program that could do this but none of them offer the option. Note: The ipod itself works fine. I can listen to it and it'll charge just fine. It just won't recognize.
I'm running Windows 7 OS. iTunes is up-to-date.
If anyone knows how to fix it, the help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello BPeery,
I would go through ALL the steps here:
iPod not recognized in 'My Computer' and in iTunes for Windows
Let us know how it goes.
    Hope this helps.
