Solution center suddenly ask for enabling Adobe Flash player for internet explorer for scanning
Solution center suddenly ask for enabling Adobe Flash player for internet explorer for scanning. However, flash player is installed and enabled, but HP Solution center keeps asking for enabling and doesn't let me scan.
Any suggestion?Hello there! Welcome to the forums @yuvalyanai
I read about the issue you are having with scanning, as you are seeing a message to enable Adobe Flash player.
To begin, I would like to know some more information:
Which operating system you are running and which printer you are working with?
How Do I Find My Model Number?
Which Windows Operating System am I running?
Can you make copies successfully?
Can you print from your computer?
Have you tried updated Adobe Flash player?
Can you scan successfully from Microsoft Paint?
How is your printer connected to your PC, wireless, ethernet or USB?
In the meantime, try resetting the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
I hope to hear from you, have a wonderful weekend

Fix for Flash Player in Internet Explorer Issue
I've seen quite a few people with this issue and they all
seem to have issues finding the fix...I never found a 100% solution
on Adobe's site, but I found some directions that finally worked.
Basically, if Flash Player refuses to work in Internet
Explorer for you (but works in other browsers if you've tried) then
follow the steps available at
Fix
Flash Player in Internet Explorer .
It's basically a mashup of various directions available on
Adobe & Microsoft's websites with links to all the files that
you will need to download. Hopefully Adobe can use the list to
create a fix that works.Hopefully this FAQ will help:

Flash Player for Internet Explorer has to be reinstalled
Every time I'm booting my computer, Flash Player for Internet Explorer has to be installed. I'm using Win7, 64 bits. Without reinstalling, Real Player will not play offline. However, when accessing YouTube with IE, it plays the video without reinstalling. Computers are fun!
You need to close all iexplore.exe processes; use the Task Manager's Processes tab.

Black border around my flash video in internet explorer
The website that I built, I used Adobe media encoder and flash to make it a .flv file, the website works fine as far as playing the pages with video in Safari and Firefox, when I go to the same website in internet explorer the video plays with a big black border each of my video's, why would that be ? if you have internet explorer the site is dreamdigitalmedia.com
thanksI watched your Chigago Public School and Ogsby Funiture commercials in IE 7 , and didn't see any black borders.
Videos seemed to play fine; although the following error popped up each time:
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2036: Load Never Completed.
I responded to the error by hitting the 'continue' button; and it did allow me to play the vids; but you'll probably want to check this out. -
When I roll my mouse over the flash obejects on my page an
outline of the object appears. When I click on the objects the
outline goes away.
Is there a simple way to get rid of these outlines that
appear?Ooooh I see. Ive had that happen to me before on multiple
flash sites on the web, only the border went around the entire
site. It gives you a lil pop up message that reads 'click to
activate and use this control' which has something to do with
javascript and activeX with IE web browsers.
I just did a quick search on the matter cuz I always wondered
why it happened and I came across this site:
http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/popular_topics/click_to_activate/
It has lots of resources that will show you how to
(hopefully) fix it. Otherwise, its a result of some update that
Internet Explorer applied that might be unavoidable in some
cases. -
Flash, Javascript and Internet Explorer
This is driving me nuts...!!!!!! It works in Firefox but not
Internet
Explorer.
I've got a load of gifs on a page that I want to swap from a
Flash movie
using a loop.
This is the Javascript I'm using:
function blankAll(x){
document[x].src="images/splash-link-arrow.gif";
And I'm calling it in Flash using the following action
script:
function blankOut(){
for(x = 1; x <= _root.allBranches.length; x++){
getURL("javascript:blankAll('"+ _root.allBranches[x-1]
+"')");
allBranches being an array containing a list of the gif names
to swap.
Like I say, in Firefox this works like a dream, but in
Internet Explorer it
only swaps the very last gif on the list........ WHY?
Can anybody help please?
Big thanks in advance,
@ndyBSorry Dan,
This has got nothing to do with the question I asked.
I know about the Microsoft "patch" and have already allowed
for it.

Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 8.1)
Hello
I am having a problem with Flash in IE 11 / Win 8.1. I understand it is embedded. But I keep getting the window at the bottom of the screen saying this webpage wants to run the following add-on 'Adobe Flash Player' from 'Microsoft Windows Third Party Application Component....' I click allow and the message keeps coming back. On top of this, Flash will not work.
I have a feeling there is something corrupted. I have tried to download an update (kb3004150) and it says I already have this on my system. I also have tried to install it manually using the install_flash_player_ax.exe file, but to no avail.
What do I need to do to fix this and why aren't there other options on Adobe's site?
Thank you!!!Adjusting the ActiveX Filtering settings should help you resolve those "Do you want to allow Flash Player" prompts:
Use ActiveX filtering - Windows Help
Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative. -
Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer
If you’re having problems viewing Flash content on the Web using Internet Explorer 9 or higher, even though you’re sure Flash Player is installed, it may be because the Flash Player Add-on has been disabled (turned off) in your browser settings.
To enable Flash Player, please follow the steps outlined below:
Please click here for an HTML5 version of this video: YouTube HTML5 HD Link
Launch Internet Explorer and navigate to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html
If you see an animation playing, then Flash Player is enabled.
If you don’t see an animation playing, then Flash Player is not enabled. In that case, click on the Tools icon in the top right corner of Internet Explorer. (The icon looks like a cogwheel.)
In the drop-down menu which appears, click Manage Add-Ons.
In the dialog which appears, select Toolbars and Extensions.
In the list of Add-ons, look for “Shockwave Flash Object” – which is another name for Flash Player.
In the Status column, check to see whether Shockwave Flash Object is Disabled. If it is, click the row for Shockwave Flash Object to highlight it.
In the bottom right corner of the Manage Add-ons dialog, click the Enable button.
Close the Manage Add-ons dialog.
Click Refresh to reload the webpage. If you see the animation playing this time, then Flash Player has been successfully enabled.
If you continue to encounter problems viewing Flash content after completing these steps, please see our FAQ on ActiveX filtering.
ActiveX Filtering in Internet ExplorerMe too. Thanks a million, Chris. Without you, I would go crazy pulling my hair off.
I tried everything I possible could, you name it, I did it, but I was kept advised to download
and install the latest flash version. The next step I would try to uninstall IE9 and re-install IE8,
because I did not have such an issue when I was using IE8. If this fails, I would even try to
buy a new computer. Finally, I came across this forum and find your answer.
I follow your instructions, and finally I DID IT. I can see all videos now.
Many many thanks to you Chris. You save me a lot of work and money. -
Flash 10 hangs Internet Explorer 7 on Vista?
I installed Flash 10 on my dad's computer last Saturday. He
emailed me today to tell me that Internet Explorer 7 had been a few
times over the past few days which he things started around
Tuesday. Since the only change to IE7 made recently was upgrading
from Flash 9 to Flash 10, Flash 10 is my suspect.
Are there any reports of Flash 10 causing IE7 to hang in
Vista?Hi Mush25-
I had to step back from this and take a different approach.
While tossin' down some aspirins, I worked on my other niece's
laptop to upgrade to FP10 and troubleshoot. Identical to T2, but
with more Yahoo stuff: homepage, toolbar, chat, etc.. Turns out she
had already done it via Adobe yes/no prompt. No issues, everything
works OK. She said it only took a few minutes. I checked it out and
checked the settings, it's OK. Go figure.....
So, I will approach this as a problem with Manual
Downloading, which you and I did (not sure about Morac).
The HP desktop? We don't normally use IE7 on it, as it is AOL
Dial-up only, so few/no cookie issues on IE7. I kicked in IE7 and
FP10 worked OK. Well, as OK as dial-up video can be....
OK- a question for ya, this will tell me if I'm on the right
track: On your first FP10 upgrade, did you FIRST uninstall FP9, or
download/install OVER FP9? Please answer honestly....no judgements
here...
I didn't uninstall first- I admit it! I never do for Adobe
and Java, as I want to make sure the new version/upgrade works OK
before losing the old. I was on the old dial-up for too long, I
guess. There are exceptions, of course, like AVG.
Let me know. -
Bypassing Activate Flash Control in Internet Explorer
I am working on a website in Dreamweaver that uses a Flash
based navigation bar. However, IE makes the user click once to
"activate" the SWF, and then the user must click again on the
button on the navbar to access the page the button points to. This
makes it harder for the user to use the nav bar in IE, and more
than 95% of the client's website users will be using Internet
Explorer. I have heard about a way to bypass this, and
automatically "activate" the control.
Is this something that is easy to fix? Is there just a piece
of HTML code that I can paste in?
Thanks,
AdobemediaDo a search query like this "Active Content" around Adobe
site, this will direct you to the right source of support help.
At that Active Content Developer Center, where you will get
more detailed information on resolution or workaround solution to
your problem.
Hope that helps.
Cheers, Brian
[on edit, additional note...]
Also, look at Microsoft Developer Network site at this URL
below, particularly addressing IE Update issue around MS ActiveX
controls.
Have a look at this URL below:

Again, hope that helps too, no?
