How can I exchange my iphone 6 plus for iPhone 6?

The iPhone 6 Plus is still in very short supply vs. the demand, so even if you are beyond the two-weeks you should have no problem selling it.  Just remember, if you are going to return it or sell it, you will need your Apple ID and Password to turn off "Find My iPhone" and to Erase All Content.  You will need to make a Backup on iCloud or your Computer and current version of iTunes so that you can move your content to your new iPhone 6.

  • Charger iPhone 3GS serves for iPhone 5c?

hello! I have a charger iphone 3gs but it has its printed characteristics that were deleted, only the removable part says 250v-2.5A. This serves for iphone 5c?

Yes it will, as long as you have the correct cable of course.

  • Iphone 4S exchange for iphone 5

Hi i own a iphone 4S  just 4 months old. i happened to see that iphone 5 is getting launched. is there any possiblity that apple can exchange my iphone for the new iphone 5.

    No, of course not.
Sell your iPhone 4S and use the proceeds towards an iPhone 5.

  • Return iPhone 6 Plus for iPhone 6?

I've been trying to get ahold of an Apple store but to no avail so I wanted to ask here.
I purchased this iPhone 6 Plus through the online store but feel it is just to uncomfortable for 2 years of use.  I'd like to exchange it at an Apple Store for a regular iPhone 6.  As long as iPhone 6's are in stock, is this possible?  Or do I have to ship the plus back to Apple since I bought it online.  If that's the case, what happens with my upgrade status with AT&T?  Can I ship this back and still get an iPhone 6 at 2 year contract price at an Apple Store?  Thanks for the help guys.

I was in the same boat. i preordered and got the iphone 6 plus on launch day. After activating it and playing with it for a day, i felt it didn't fit my needs (it was too big) so I went to the apple store to exchange it for the smaller one. When i got to the store, they told me that i'll have to go back to the loooooong line outside the store if i wanted to get the smaller iphone so i decided to just return it. Fortunately, they had a representative from AT&T at the apple store who made sure that my eligibility requirement was reset so i can repurchase another phone at a discounted price after i returned the phone. The representative also helped me reactivate my old iphone (iphone 5) so i can use it again until i purchase my new iphone 6.
I went online to order and reserve the iphone 6 i wanted via the apple website and it wouldn't let me order it since my account still registers an Iphone ordered under it (the iphone plus i returned). The online ordering system only allows one iphone order per account. So I called the apple phone order line to order it via phone and get this issue resolved but they said they wouldn't be able to do anything for me to get the iphone plus on my account removed (apparently it takes time for their system to remove it) and told me to just wait for the system to remove it.
Instead of waiting for the system to remove it - i imagine it'll take a while since there are a couple of million people who are getting the iphone this launch weekend - i decided to go to my local best buy store to see if they have it in stock. To my surprise, there was no line to go through at the store and they had them in stock (probably since the iphone 6 plus is the more popular version). i bought it there and got it activated and saved time from lining up again at the apple store.
I guess i suggest you go to the apple store, return the iphone 6 plus, talk to the AT&T representative on site (while they're still there - i think they're only there this launch weekend) to get your AT&T account squared away and then go to a local retail store (Best Buy, Walmart, AT&T store etc.) and get the Iphone 6 plus there and save time waiting in line at the apple store.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can i exchange my iphone 5 black for iphone 5 white?

Since most of my friends have the black iphone 5 and do not want to take the wrong phone for accident!

    No; here are several reasons why;
The return/exchange policy is only available for a limited time.  That time period is 14 days for a "Device Only" purchance and 30 days if the device is contracted to a carrier.  In the latter case, exchange is the only option available.
The iPhone 5 was discontinued in September 2013 and there are no such devices available for a retail exchange.
If you are requesting a service replacement, you will leave the Genius Bar with the same model/color/configuration that you brought in.
When you want something different that the item you have, you should be prepared to purchase a new item.

  • Exchange iPhone 3GS Black for iPhone 3GS White?

If I ordered my iPhone online and wanted to exchange it for a different color can I do this by going to the Apple Store? Or do I have to go through the online store? I already talked to Apple online but I felt like the guy was messing with me, he told he they can do it but there was a restocking fee (which there shouldn't be) but he "talked" his manager into waiving it for me. He then told me I couldn't "exchange" it I would have to return it and rebuy it.
Does this sound right to you guys? Should I call again or should I head to an Apple Store?

The Apple Store is the only place that can give a definitive answer as they are the ones that you will deal with.

  • Swapping an iPhone 4S (ATT) for iPhone 4S Verizon

I purchased an iPhone 4S ala AT&T from the online Apple store but was considering swapping it for an iPhone 4 Verizon. There is an Apple store in my area. Can they swap it out for me? Do I have to go through the online store? How much would such a swap cost me? Is there a backlog for 4S Verizon iPhones? Any and all help will be deeply appreciated.

You have 30 days to return it. In the past, doing so at your local Apple Store has not been a problem, but recently, there have been reports of Apple telling customers they must return it through the online store if it was purchased online. I can't vouch for the universality of this policy (if it is a policy). It certainly can't hurt to go to your local Apple store and ask.  As for backlog, there may be a wait, since it's still early in the launch process. Again, you'll have to ask.
Just curious... Why are you considering switching? Coverage is the only real reason to do so IMO. You will lose the ability to talk and use 3G data at the same time and your 3G data speeds will be (theoretically) lower on Verizon than AT&T since AT&T has pretty much rolled out HSPA+ everywhere now.

  • HT6337 Handoff/Instant hotspot requirements for iPhone 4s

    HI,
Apple updates recently the "HT6337: Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity" support page which was not very clear. They added some explanations to activate and use each feature.
It's better but Handoff/Instant hotspot requirements are still not explicit for iPhone 4s : what does "(sharing iPhone calls only)" mean?
This precision is wrong because SMS/MMS sharing is available too for iPhone 4S.
    For iPhone 4S,
Call and SMS/MMS sharing is available.
It seems Handoff is not available.
    What about Instant Hotspot?
    Best regards,
    Florent.
PS : I would be nice that Apple updates the HT6337 to clarify requirements for Handoff and Instant hotspot by separating them in two distinct paragraphs.

I thank you for you answer.
I let a feedback to Apple few days ago on the document by answering "No" to the question "Helpful?" at the end of the page, and the document was updated. Unfortunately, the confusion about Instant Hotspot is still in the system requirements document (System requirements for Continuity on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac - Apple Support). I let again a feedback. I hope Apple will update this confusing page pretty soon.

  • Instructions for iPhone 2G

Where can I go for on-line instructions for the iPhone 2G? I have just been given a 2G and purchased a 3G for my husband. Of course, he can access information for the 3G on-line, but it's like the 2G never existed in regards to information.
    Thank you!

The software is the same, so the users guide online will work for both phones this is the title of the online guide:

  • How to uninstall Disk for iPhone?!?

    Hello everyone!
I am a new mac user so I am not familiar with how to uninstall this type of program thru the Terminal. I have read through what followed with it but it was too difficult for me to understand unfortunately. Below is what it says about how to uninstall "Disk for iPhone":
    *Uninstalling Disk for iPhone*
*1. Double-click the Disk for iPhone disk image file*
    *2. Open the Terminal application*
    *3. Run the uninstall script*
    Example:
    *$ sh "/Volumes/Disk for iPhone/uninstall.sh"*
*4. Press Return to run the command and then type in your administrator password when prompted.*
I have tried to run the uninstall commando for Terminal but failed removing it from my mac after typing my password. A guy from a different forum told me to add sudo before sh. Here is the result so far:
    *110:~ P$ sudo sh "/Volumes/Disk for iPhone/uninstall.sh"*
*sh: /Volumes/Disk for iPhone/uninstall.sh: No such file or directory*
    *110:~ P$*
Any experienced mac user out there who could help me out with this please?!?

I do not see this file when I open the disk image.
Then you either are opening the wrong disk image or you have an old or incomplete version. Download a new copy here:
    http://iphonedisk.googlecode.com/files/Disk%20for%20iPhone%2020100411.dmg
(clicking that link will start the download)
That copy will have the uninstall script. Then follow the previous instructions and that should do the job.

  • Best Practices for iPhone 6 Trade-In Promotion?

I want to trade in an old iPhone 4 for this iPhone 6 trade-in promotion which would (in theory) net me a $200 gift card (or bill credit) as long as I purchase a new iPhone 6.
    Great, I'm all over it.
I went to the nearby corporate store, iPhone 4 in hand, and ready to trade in and order the iPhone 6. As we know the 6 is on back order. The solution specialist told me go ahead and place the order and after that I could request an envelope and once my 6 arrives I have 7 days to send the old phone and 6-8 weeks later I would get the $200 gift card. I asked if I could go ahead and process the trade-in in store and he said "no" since they were on back order I can't process the trade-in until I activate the 6, which completes the transaction. He did say that if I receive my new iPhone 6 before 10/15 I could bring the new phone in for activation and they could process the trade-in at that time and issue me an instant credit.
Problem is I don't want to send my phone off in some envelope...to Verizon. Are you kidding me? Search this forum for "trade-in" and you will see all the people who thought they were in for a $200 gift card but were surprised to receive a different amount for some reason...wont turn on, find my iPhone not disabled, water damage, etc. Trouble is, you DO NOT get your phone back, per the offer's fine print.
So here I am waiting for my new iPhone 6 to ship, but I don't even have a tracking number yet and the "Will Ship By" date on Verizon's website just went from 10/31 to 11/7 for the one I chose. Either way, it won't ship in time for me to get to the store by 10/15 to process trade-in onsite and receive the instant credit.
I will not be sending my trade-in phone in an envelope to Verizon. Not now, not never.
***HERE IS MY QUESTION*** Please do not direct me to this website: Verizon
Assuming my trade-in is eligible, what are the steps I need to take to receive the instant $200 credit for my trade-in?
If I receive my new iPhone 6 before 10/15, can I take it to the store and activate it and process the trade-in on site, as I was told by the solution specialist?
Now that I have ordered the iPhone 6 can I go to the store and process my trade-in onsite for the instant credit before my new iPhone ships?
Can I cancel my current order and (even though the iPhone 6 is on backorder) go to the store and re-order and process my trade-in at that time onsite, for the instant credit?

    1. Yes

    3. No, you need a new 6 activated on the account

  • Old iPhone trade in for iPhone 6?

How do I go about the free iPhone 6 with old iPhone trade in? Do I do this in stores? Do I trade in my old one before I preorder? Do I wait until they are available in stores? Can anyone explain this whole process to me?

Thanks so much for asking! We knew this would be a hot topic. Don't trade in your phone before you get a new phone. We don't want you to be phoneless.
You can accomplish with with pre-orders as well as upgrading in the stores.
Beginning on 9/12, for a limited time, customers can trade-in an iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5c, and 5s from any carrier with the purchase of a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and receive a $200 gift card (iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5c) or $300 (iPhone 5s).
This can be done at the store or you can submit for the device trade in online at http://vz.to/17tYyaN.
It is imperative that you disable Find My iPhone http://vz.to/1wwKZbR prior to trading the phone in to us to ensure that you get the proper trade in amount.
The trade-in Apple iPhone must be in good working condition based on Verizon Device Recycling Program requirements:
      • Phone can turn on and off.
      • LCD screen is free of cracks and functioning correctly.
      • Phone and connecting ports are free of visible corrosion and water damage.
      • Battery is present.
      • Phone and charging port are free of cracks and dents, and are not missing any pieces or chunks (not including cords or accessories).
      • For iPhones running iOS 7 or higher, the Find My iPhone feature must be deactivated (turned off) before iPhone is traded in. -Tamara

  • Does my current plan have to be eligible for upgrade in order to partake in the trade-in for iPhone 6 promotion?

After reading the FAQ of the iPhone trade-in promotion, I am still unsure if my iPhone 5s has to be eligible for upgrade before trading in for the $300 gift card. Can someone please help me out?

It's important to know the terms of the promotion rossmurtle3, I'm here to help. Your iPhone is eligible for the trade in promotion value as long as it's in good condition, meaning no damage. However, to receive the discount on the iPhone and pay by signing a new 2 year agreement, your line needs to be eligible for an upgrade. You can check the date by calling #UPG. If not eligible, you can still trade in your iPhone 5S for the promotional value and apply it to retail value of the iPhone 6. Here's more info http://vz.to/1peg7TS.
