Trade promotion in a CRM order
Dear All
I have created a trade promotion and released it. My questions are
- The trade promotion I have created does not appear in the header overview section of the Order when I am trying to manually add it to the order- Do i have to do any customizing settings
- How to determine the trade promotion in the order- automatically?

Hi Tarang,
For an trade promotion to be automatically determined in a sales order , you need to do the following
1. Customizations in IMG>CRM> Basic settings--> Campaign Determination (which is very similar to pricing procedures settings )
2. If you want to assign only one TP to an order item, then choose blank for multiple promotions in the path IMG> CRM> Basic Settings> Campaign Determination> Assign Determination Procedures

I have one problem though, I also need to upload the product & volumes/tradespends. With the product I used method "prod_assign_create" which is ok, but with the volume/tradespends, i have no idea.
Would you know if there's any related class/method or BAPI that may upload the volume/tradespends within deals/trade promotion?

Trade promotion management is a business concept supported in CRM, ERP, SEM-BPS/BW, and APO. It integrates the various activities in a golden promotion process which include:
Basic:
- Trade promotion creation/planning(CRM and SEM-BPS): Similar to campaigns but with more specific comercial objectives. It usually involves special season discounts or trade spends in the customer site ( trade spends are special product placement costs, tasting events, etc).
- Trade promotion execution(CRM and ERP): Integration of discounts into sales orders, and rebate agreement managament in ERP.
- Planned/Real analysis(BW): It uses CO-PA reports to compare the promotion planned results with the actual results.
Advanced:
- Promotion result predition(CRM/BW): You can use data mining models to estimate uplift values based on your past knowledge base.
- Account Planning(CRM and SEM-BPS): Well....account planning ^^
- Demand planning integration(APO): Promotion have buying, pre-dip and post-dip periods. This integrates with APO demand planning so that your prodution planning takes into account special discounts and stock-in actions. -
Hi group,
I've created a trade promotion in CRM, and I'm getting an error message when creating a sales order in R/3. When the order detects the trade promotion, I get the information message 'The entered marketing element
EE8013449FC3C81EE10000000A010671 does not exist in the project master'.
And after that I get another message: 'The header business data does not apply to item 00030'.
This only happens with sales orders related to a promotion. Any ideas of what could this be?
The thing is, we are not using PS at all, and I should not configure ps only for this... If I define a project coding mask, I could solve the first error message, but not the second one ('The header business data does not apply to item 00030'.)...

If so, is the Sales organization relevant for Trade Promotions?

Limited number (5) of mass change can be done in trade promotion of CRM 7.0
Hi,
our CRM system is upgraded from 5.0 to 7.0 .
We are creating trade promotions and mass changes of status are done in here.
There was no limited value in mass change, many of trade promotions can be massly changed in 7.0 too.
But a new support package is dowloaded to the system, means level was 003 and now it is 005.
After this support package load, a limited number of mass change can be done. This number is 5.
if we select more than 5 records, an error occured and nothing can be done.
We have to select 5 or less.
But this is a time loss for our work and our customers, what is the reason? how can I increase the number or totaly destroy this limitation?? Please helppp !!!it is solved

Retreiving the guid for target group selected for trade promotion in CRM 7

I am working on building API for creating trade promotion. I need to find a way where I could retreive the GUID of the target group to be assigned to the trade promotion.
Please share you thoughts on this. Let me know if we could use any standard function module or SAP class which could be used to achieve the objective.

CRM Order: Error occurred during determination of profitability segment
Hello All,
I have created a Trade promotion in CRM, and maintained the determination condition and Discount condition for the combination of
Customer /Sales org /Product.
I have maintained settings for CO-PA in connected SAP ECC
When i create a sales order in CRM , trade promotion is determined in the order and also discount is considered in the order pricing.
When i save the order in CRM, an entry in the outbound queue of CRM is created with destination pointing to ECC, which is having the status: SYSFAIL.
The description of the error is :" Error occurred during determination of profitability segment "
Suppose when if i remove the trade promotion which was determined in the order and then save the order i dont get this error.
Hence could you please help me providing additional settings which should be done if we want to have TPM also.

Need to change user & system status of trade promotion

I have a requirement where I need to advance a user status if system status is changed based on some creiteria.
Similarly a system status will be changed on a particular user status.
Which table is updated for status of trade promotion? Which class/method can be used for it?

Status management on the whole in CRM is pretty complex at the db level as there are so many nr of tables. So, i feel it is better not to go more deep.
Individual application frameworks like one order, marketing has extended the status management for their needs which resulted in pretty good number of APIs for status related actions.
Try the using the following methods of the class CL_CRM_MKTPL_APPL_BASE
1) STATUS_READ --> to read the active status of the marketing object at that point of time
2) STATUS_SET --> for this method pass the business transaction associated with the status of your marketing project.

the condition type for rebate is special, different the normal pricing condition, the rebate condition has a different condition usage. you can define the rebate condition record in rebate related SPRO path
u2022 How are they linked to TP and how the conditions flow to ECC
the condition generation configure in TP link the condition with TP type, you can check the configuration in SPRO
u2022 How are these conditions determined in sales order
the rebate also need to configure to the sale order, this configuration is under SD rebate path, and you can upload the configuration by middleware synchronize object from CRM
u2022 Are there any agreements that need to be created
the aggrement will be created automatically if the rebate condition can be generated in CRM TP. pay attention that the spend type table in TP WEB UI page has a button named 'rebate generate'
u2022 How does accruals happen
the accrals is depend on the funds plan, if fund plan created and configure for accrualls, you can launch a job background for accrual base on a fund plan from WEB UI
u2022 How is it linked to funds, what set up of funds is required
the funds is link to fund plan, fund plan link to TP. There is no directly link between funds with rebate, but they have indirect relationship through spend category, method,... E.G. you configure a rebate belong to a spend category, and you can configure the spend category in fund determination with TP.
The funds will be determined when TP created
u2022 How validation happens from claims
validaion happens in claim processing, in claim, the spend value will be fetch from fund usage, and bring to the validation screen, you can edit the validation data, and claim will generate the billing due list according to the validation you input. -
Set the status on Released Trade Promotions to Finished if TP has expired ?

I would like to do a development of report that sets the status on Released Trade Promotions to Finished if TP has expired, i.e. passed the End Date of the TPM.
The report should first search for all active trade promotions, i.e. all trade promotions that have the status "Released", i.e I1004 and then compare the end date of Trade Promotion with the date the report is run and if the end date has been passed then the system status should be changed to Finished, i.e. I1008.
Example:
We are running the report on 16.02.2009 and it finds the Trade Promotion below which has System Status I1004. Then it compares the date of running this report which is 16.02.2009 with the end date of Trade Promotion wich is for example 15.02.2009, since the date has been passed, the trade promotion has expired and thus the System Status should be set to I1008 "Finished" so that it can no longer automatically into a Sales Order.
I would like to know how can I do this ? or in which Implementation Name can I do the modification ?

Trade promotion with target group is created and then rebate agreement is being generated in R3 and executed.
Here i am facing an issue where , only one rebate agreement is getting created for all partners in target group instead of separate rebate agreement is getting created per partner in target group.

Volume/Trade Spends tab on Trade Promotion or Deal Master
Hi All,
When creating a trade promotion or deal master via CRM_MKTPL transaction, I have filled in the basic data tab, product tab and volumes/trade spends tab.
The volumes/trade spends tab is split into two parts, the products and key figure columns are displayed directly in SAP SEM in the lower part of the tab page.
I need to get these values so I can display in my smartform.
Does anyone know how to retrieve these values? Is there a BAPI, class or any function module I can use to get these values.
