How do i stop photoshop cs4 from quitting unexpectedly when saving a photoshop pdf? i attempted to download the adobe drive 5 but the installation keeps failing. I went through the process of clicking through the how to's and the troubleshooting and came to the conclusion that I need to install the adobe drive 5 but I can not complete the installation. I may be incorrect on this so I need immediate assistance as I have poster and ad deadlines. I also tried disabling the gatekeeper and solution 3 on the troubleshooting of slow saving on photoshop.
    Any help is much appreciated!
    Thank you!

Are you attempting to save the file to a network location instead of your local hard drive? If so, this is probably why you are encountering an issue and why Adobe Drive would be the solution. As we've documented, it is a bad idea to open from or save directly to a network source: Networks, removable media | Photoshop | CS4 and later. Drive can help you get around this by setting up an Adobe supported virtual connection to the network. Thus, if installing Adobe Drive is the solution you need and your need help with installing Drive, please post to the Downloading, Installing, Setting Up forum.
If you are not saving to a network location, then Adobe Drive is not going to be the answer. Then we'll need to know more about the file you are saving.

  • Lightroom 5 installation keeps failing

    Lightroom 5 installation keeps failing.
Solution mentioned here doesn't work, because my default installation language is English. The installation process stops and shows there's an error but doesn't actually show the error message. The system language on my laptop is Russian.
I had a trial installed previously and now need to activate it with my Creative Cloud membership but it's been about two weeks since I purchased it and it still doesn't work!

    Hi,
I’m sorry to hear that! Not sure why it worked for me but not for you. I’d like to check the steps you made just to make sure…
    What OS or you using?
I removed Lightroom from Creative Cloud. – So there is no error showing.
I downloaded the: Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_2 from the link.
Unpacked it to the desktop (any folder will do).
Then I navigated to the folder and installed Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_2.
Re opened CC and clicked install. It then install the 5.3 update.
If you followed all these steps and still have no luck then A, let me know. And B, you may have to wait for Adobe to fix the issue.
I’ll troll the internet for you too.
There are still more things we can try, so don't give up!
I love Lightroom and feel your pain!
    Thanks,
    Mike

    susannefromqld,
try downloading the offline Adobe Reader installer, and see if that will install successfully when run locally.

  • Upgrade to 10.6 from 10.5 Installation keeps failing - why?

Ok I know I'm way behind as far as mac os x versions go but at this time I'm trying to upgrade my 24" imac (MB419LL/A w/ 2gb ram) from Leopard to Snow Leopard. I followed the instructions here  Get Your Mac Ready for Snow Leopard by repairing disk permissions, disabling Guest Accounts and backing up with Time Machine to an external hard drive. The installation looked like it was going ok but failed at the very end (Installation Failed came on the screen). There was a button to "try again" (or whatever it says lol) and I did 2 more times with the same result although the failure message came much sooner the 2nd and 3rd times. I used Time Machine to go back to before the install. Now what?
Thanks in advance for you help.

    Welcome.
Are you installing in place (i.e. a standard install) Snow Leopard, or did you erase the drive first?
Are you using the retail SL disc
Are you booting from the disc (holding the C key on startup) or installing from the desktop?
TM has it's uses, but a better solution for this situation is to  clone the Macintosh HD to a seperate external HD. You then can boot from that clone if needed.

  • I can't install Adobe Flash -installation keeps failing

I run Windows Vista, and have been using Firefox as my browser (current version). In May some time Flash stopped working on Firefox. It works fine on IE8. I have uninstalled Flash and reinstalled it - successful on IE, and uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it, then tried to install the Flash plugin, all to no avail. When I try to install it manually nothing happens. Is something changed on a security setting that is preventing this? My cookies/pop-ups allow adobe.com on Firefox.
Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. I am the admin account in Vista. I always log in as admin. Is there a setting within admin preventing me from loading the plugin? If so, I have been able to load other plugins without a problem.
I can't install the plugin with Firefox closed. It tries to load on the browser. For example, I get the message that a plugin needs to be installed from the top of my browser window, I click on it, it takes me to the Adobe license page, I accept, and it takes me to a window where the plugin is being loaded. Then a window comes up that says "Completing the Plug-in Finder Service" which says "No Plug-ins were installed, Adobe Flash Player 10.3.181, Failed" I get the Manual Install button, but when use that to go to the Adobe page, and try to install manually, nothing happens - no acceptance of license, nothing.
I have another computer - newer - with Windows 7 - and Flash loaded and runs fine on my Firefox browser on it.
    Any other ideas?

  • Installer keeps failing under Lion

I installed Lion last night.  Tonight software update shows three updates pending: "Remote Desktop Client 3.5.1", "iWork Update 6", and "iTunes".  I click install, go through the license agreement, it downloads the software, tries to install the software, then tells me theres been an error?  Anyone else having this problem?  Is there a work around?

J.chung have you utilized the steps listed in Error: "Failed to install" | Creative Cloud Desktop to reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application?  If so can you provide some additional details?  What version of Mac OS are you using?  Has the Creative Cloud Desktop application been installed on this computer successfully previously?   If so what changes have occurred?

  • Help! Tried installing bootcamp, installation keeps failing

So I set up a partition normally and it finished smoothly and restarted the laptop by itself. After that it automatically went into the windows installer and I kept getting an error that says "windows could not collect information for [OSimage] since the specified image file [install.wim] does not exist." After a few tries, I decided to boot back to OSX so i held down the option key and weirdly it only shows the Macintosh HD and Recovery, no Bootcamp HD to be seen. And when I boot from the Macintosh HD it goes back to the installer. I took out the CD and tried doing the same but this time it tells me to put in CD and press any key, and the same problem repeats itself. How do i get back into OS X?

The Option key boot only shows drives and or partitions that are Bootable. The Windows partition created with Boot Camp Assistant is not bootable until Windows is installed on it.
When you say it goes back to the installer are you talking about the Windows installer?
How are you booting from the Macintosh HD? On the screen that comes up with the Option key boot are you selecting the Macintosh HD and then clicking the little arrow below it?
Boot to the Recovery HD and use Disk utility to repair the Macintosh HD. From the Menu bar in the Recovery boot select the Apple logo and then startup disk and make sure you check the Macintosh HD.
If none of that works to get back into OS X then something, You during the install of Windows (Like not selecting the correct partition to install on) or the actual Windows installer fooled with the Mac OS X partition.

im trying to install logic studio and it keeps failing

The reason I asked is because I don't understand how you managed to install 9.1.1 on your iMac...
So... out of curiosity, as you didn't actually answer the question... how did you install 9.1.1 on your Mac given the DVD version is 9.0.0?
    As to your questions...
You may install Logic Pro 9 from the Logic Studio package legally on one desktop and one laptop you own... as per the Logic Studio license terms and conditions..
However, had you purchased Logic Pro 9 via the App store, rather than via the boxed edition of Logic Studio 2.0..   that licence, is different and allows you to install LP9 on any number of computers you own for your own private use.. using your Apple ID and the purchased tab of the Mac App Store application.
If you feel Apple should have done a better job in notifying you about the requirements of Logic Pro 9  in reference to the 9.1.6 update being needed under Mountain Lion, why don't you contact them and tell them... via the feedback form,
    https://www.apple.com/feedback/logic-pro.html
because Apple isn't here in any real sense..... and therefore won't read your comments or respond

  • Installation keeps getting failed on some CC applications

After performing clean install Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), I tried to install Adobe CC applications back on my Mac couple days ago.
While other CC applications had been installed without a hassel, I find two applications that kept failling to be installed.
Audition CC and Bridge CC are the ones I am having trouble with.
When I try to install it, it fails at 3% or so. (It varies after reboot, but keeps failing.)
After I click "Retry" as the installation keeps failing, the progress bar reaches up to 41%.
Then no matter how many times I click "Retry", installation gets failed instantly.
The error message says: "Installation Failed The download appears corrupted. Please try again after a few minutes.(-60)"
I've tried installing them both on my iMac and MacBook Air, but the same installation failure occurs.
I've tried installing Audition CC and Bridge CC on my MacBook Air at home, but the same installation failure occurs.
I've tried safe boot. I've tried wating couple days. I've tried re-clean install MacOS X. I've tried changing locations. I've tried contacting Chat Support.
    The same installation failure occured.
I suspect that the problem is at Adobe's end, but I am not certain.
Is there any workaround for me to install Adobe CC and Bridge CC?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi 상욱군,
Please try installing in the root user account and check.

The payload is for the Illustrator CS6 Core 16.0.0.0 , hence it is not for the update but the core installation of the Illustrator.
The reason of the fail is at the time of installation the installor was unable to preserve the original file at "/Applications/Adobe Illustrator CS6/Adobe Illustrator.app/Contents/Frameworks/AdobeCrashReporter.framework/Adob eCrashReporter" ,
So , on running the Cleaner tool , the "Illustrator.app" got deleted and on re-running the installation , it worked because a fresh illustrator.app was written.
