Train stops distance - quick question

Hi
How do we control/modify the train length between the train stops ?
We have one longer than the other of the 3 stops. It looks like its because one string of the stop is longer than the other.
We like to spread them out wider so that the 2 lengths will be equal.
Right now
Also, Another quick question - It appears that the 3-stop train we have are placed differently in different browser.
In IE, the train is positioned to the left
In Firefox, the train is positioned in the center.
How do we make all browsers to show the train in the center ?

Re-importing into iPhoto 06 Quick Question

I hope.
My photos are on an external hard drive. I jogged the wire the other day during an import and stopped the import. When I next loaded up iPhoto all the photos had changed to ! , so I reimported them, which all worked fine, but it's reimported everything including the thumbnails, so I now have every picture at least twice and want to get rid of all the small sized files.
Can I do it a quick way like search for photos below a certain size or should I import from a different point? I imported from the iPhoto directory, but should I have been a bit more specific on a sub directory? I want to make sure I get the original photos and any photos I've edited.
Finally, should I delete the existing thumbnails in one of the directories before I re-import?

This was not the way to go about this. You’ve now imported to a damaged database and that is inherently unstable.
There is no way to search on file size in iPhoto. You may have some luck with Duplicate Annihilator
However, do you still have the original library? If so, here’s how to start over:
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Change af|train::stop-icon-visited_hover in PS6

Hi:
I am using PS6. I want to change the train icon to be our custom icons.
I found that I have problem getting rid of the background image in the css class: .af_train_stop-icon-unvisited:hover and .af_train_stop-icon-visited:hover
I tried to select the style af|train::stop-icon-visited_hover on the demo page: (http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/components/skinningKeys/train.jspx?), but it does not seem to have any effect. Is it a bug? Thank you!

[important] click current train stop will run the method

Hi all,
I have a question about train stop, I have a train with three train stops, and in the second train stop, I have a method bind to this train stop, if user navigate to the second train stop, this method will run, but in the second train stop, I found that I still can click this page's train stop in the train stop navigation, so this method will execute each time when I click the train stop. Do we have some problems to avoid the issue, I don't want to this method run when click the current train stop, but only run when other train stops navigate to this train stop. Thanks so much!

I want to know, ADF doesn't have a way to resolve the issue? you know, it's bad that allow the train stop clickable in this train stop, we should don't let this bind method run when click the current train stop. Trains Stops and Insert new data using invokeAction!?

Hi! I am using Train element to insert data in some tables. When I open first Train Step I use invokeAction to call CreateInsert operation and could insert new data in table1. Then I go to Train Step 2 and using invokeAction insert data in table2 and so on.
I have two questions:
1. When I go back to previous Train Step using "Back" button then invokeAction again calls CreateInsert operation, but I don't need it. It is possible to call CreateInsert operation using invokeAction ONLY if user goes forward by pressing "Next" button in Train element? If it is possible then What I need to change in my code?

Hi, Umesh! My use case is following: I am on first Train Stop and enter some data. Then I go to second Stop and enter some data and so on. When I go to first, second etc. Train stops I use invokeAcrion to call CreateInsert. I need to call only this operation when I press next button. When I press Back button I do not need to call Create Insert action. Hope You understand me.
So, as I understand, i need to create method which indicates variable value based which button is pressed. But I don't understand how I can say, variable x=nextbuttonpressed or x=backbuttonpressed based on which button I realy press. And do not understand also how to use this variable in invokeAction Refresh Condition?
Hope You can explain me that with steps to do in my case and can help with code?

So, I want to use this Flow to insert first new Department and after that employees that work in this department. So I have two questions:
1. How can I add Create/Insert operation from DC before departments VIEW and employees VIEW (see in http://my.jetscreenshot.com/2677/20120516-4ens-9kb)?
2. If I insert new department and employees that work in this department I need to do commit after each Train Stop or I can do commit operation after last Train Stop?

Some quick questions before purchase of MBP

Hey Guys/Gals,
I've been a PC user all my life, but will now be making a permanent switch to Macs. I've been wanting to buy a MBP since they have been released, but have been hesitant (like many others I think...) about the issues of whine, extreme heat, warped screens etc...
With the recent updates of the logic board and even battery, I think I'm ready to go for it. I just had some quick questions before I place my order:
1. I could order my MBP from the computer store at my university. Do you guys think that will get me the newest possible MBP or will they maybe get me one that they have had in stock for ages? I really don't want to get stuck with an outdated logic board and/or battery. Is it safest just to order directly from the site?
2. Although the issue with really hot MBPs seems to have gotten better, I am still quite shocked that people say that temperatures well above 70 Celsius are "within spec". I understand that Apple officially states this and that the Intel chip can handle up to 100 Celsius, but this seems crazy to me Basically, I want to ask if I am correct in my observations that the new Intel chips don't get much hotter than other chips around, but rather Apple has chosen to set the temperature mark that sets off the fans pretty hight (around the 70s if I remember correctly?)
I would assume that in following their "mission" of creating beautifully designed computers, Apple also wants to have a really silent one. Now I'm all for a quiet machine, but I feel as though if fans were on either (a) all the time or (b) when the CPU reaches the high 50s lots of people would be happier.
Anyway, it's just a thought. I noticed there are lots of experts around here, so I'm just interested to hear what you guys think about this approach that Apple seems to have taken. I don't think the heat will stop me from getting this amazing notebook, but it certainly is a little frustrating.
Any responses are greatly appreciated.

No matter where you take possession there's no assurance of when the machine was manufactured. There is really just as good a chance of getting a perfectly good computer regardless of place of purchase. If there is a problem it's covered under warranty. You can have the computer replaced within the first two weeks. Afterwards they will replace or repair. Without Applecare's extended warranty the computer is warranted for one year after purchase.

You are wrong in your assumption. The Core Duo's maximum temperature is 125C before shutdown. Normal operating temperatures according to Intel's own documentation is 50-70C under average load. MBPs under heavy load will typically reach core temperatures over 80C. Then there's the added heat from the hard drive and GPU. The aluminum case acts as a partial heat radiator hence the case temperatures can get high. The MBP User Guide specifically states this and issues a warning about using the computer on one's lap.
I would assume that in following their "mission" of creating beautifully designed computers, Apple also wants to have a really silent one. Now I'm all for a quiet machine, but I feel as though if fans were on either (a) all the time or (b) when the CPU reaches the high 50s lots of people would be happier.
In fact the fans in the MBP are very quiet at least mine are. Unless you are in the hardware design business with intimate knowledge of using Core Duo chips in portable computers, then your observations, although certainly your opinion, are not based on anything factual.

More likely there are a lot of people around here who think they are experts. As the remark goes, "An 'expert' derives from ex, meaning 'has been', and spert, meaning 'drip under pressure.'"
You'll read lots of opinions on these forums. Don't take for granted that everything you read is factual or truth. A lot of the opinions expressed are without any basis in fact.

Quick question (why is this happening)

i'm working on a draggable background with boundaries and had
a quick question for you guys that know way more than me about
actionscript... any help will be greatly appreciated.
i have a draggable movie clip and set up boundaries for it,
and they all work except for when you drag the MC to the extreme
left/bottom corner... the left boundary stops working as soon as it

hm... well I think what you really need to get out of the
dragging step is the vector of the object when the object is
‘released’?
I suppose you could use the actual startDrag()/stopDrag
methods to do the dragging work for you and then add on to it.
Perhaps while the mouse is moving, keep track of (and update) the
values/vector of where the mouse was 1 ‘movement unit’
before (1 frame before I presume), then when stopDrag() is called,
at the same spot, subtract the current vector from the vector
stored and use the result for calculating inertia.
(Note that I don’t have flash in front of me so this
actually coming from my head, -someone may have a better
method)

How to reenter train from last train stop

Hi ADF experts,
I have a requirement in which I have bounded taskflow with train component which has four train stops.
On click of a button in the last train stop, user has to be taken to the first train stop as a completely new request.
I have tried all the possible ways, but no luck. Please help.

Enabling non-visited train stops by default ?

In the af:train, by default, only visited stops and the one immediately following the current stop are enabled.
However, is it possible to enable non-visited train stops also ?
In my task flow, in one of the scenarious,when TF starts, control passes to the last view activity, while previos stops are disabled (because not visited yet)
What I want for previous stops, is be enabled by default, otherwise the user can not visit them.
Any idea ?

Report Generation Toolkit Error Quick Question

Hi,
I created the most awesome LabVIEW report ever at my desk using a trial version of the RGT and Office 2003. I took this to my production machine and ")@#(&%(*#^%()^!!!" The production machine has office 2007 and a fully licensed version of the RGT. Both machines have LabVIEW 8.6.0. I've read all the stuff about these errors and something about classes and dll's and whatnot's. So my quick question, is: Instead of matching the versions of Microsoft Office as recommended, can I just rewrite from scratch the VI that creates this world's most awesome LabVIEW report on the production machine to create the same effect?

Slower answer: Microsoft changed a lot of things behind the scenes in Office 2007, but the Report Generation toolkit version 1.1.3 supports Office 2007 so you should be good to go. Depends on what functions are included in your VI. Liek the read me says "Several default settings in Microsoft Office 2007 differ slightly from previous versions. Reports you generate using Office 2007 might look different than reports you generate from other versions of Office because font sizes, cell sizes, and so on, differ."

Two quick questions about Library after moving beginning on a new computer

Hi there,
I just moved from Windows to Mac, meaning I had to move my iTunes library from the old PC to my new MBA.
Just a couple of quick questions.
1. When I started iTunes on my new Mac, in the preferences I directed the media folder to the folder with all my itunes music/podcasts etc, and then I imported the Library XML file. Is this incorrect? Should I have imported a different file? Should I have used the itl file instead?
If so, should I delete the library and start again? (if this is the case, please suggest the best way of doing this without affecting my media)
- a kind of sub-question to this one: some of the media files arent showing up in the iTunes library, but they are in the media folder on the ext HDD. Is there a way I can find out which ones havent been recognized by iTunes? Whats the best way of getting them in to my library?
2. Pretty much half of my podcasts have not been loaded in the new iTunes. The ones that havent were ones that I subscribed to on my iPhone, whereas the ones that show up in iTunes were ones I downloaded from iTunes. When I connect my iPhone and sync it with iTunes, will those podcasts show up in iTunes? Or is there a risk that they will be deleted from my iPhone?

The .xml is lacking some information such as ratings, date added, and play count. Using the .itl includes this information but cannot be imported using the method you did.
A complete library is everything in the iTunes folder. By using the method you did you left the artwork behind in the artwork folder on the other machine.
Selecting the media folder in preferences does not get iTunes to recognize the media. All it does is tell iTunes to start storing new media in that location.
Using the method I outlined nothing will be missed (with the exception of WMA) because you aren't rebuilding your library, you are using the one that already exists.
You don't have to re-copy everything as long as you get the stuff you missed and re-assemble it all as it was before except not on the Mac.

Difficult to input train-stop display-name

Hi, experts,
In jdev 11.1.2.3,
When i try to input train-stop display-name in the Property inspector palette,
I do have input the name string (and leave mouse from the Display name field to ID field) and click the save button in jdev,
but infact this display name has not been saved, next time when i come back from some where to view it, it's empty.
And I have stopped the running of app, the computer is OK(not hanging), jdev can do other works. but this issue happens several time today (some time it can work), rather difficult to input display name.
(This issue also happens sometime on VO's hint field inputs).
Is that a bug of jdev? some one else has met with it? or just a mirage of me?

Yes, I do have tried press enter key or leave the mouse to another field on the same pallette.
but the "Save" button didnot enabled, and i have to press the "Save all" button. and cannot be saved in fact.

Quick question re select-options

I am relatively new to ABAP but have a quick question:
I need to create a select-options which does the following:
1. Allows ONLY "equals" signs
2. Disallows intervals
3. Disallows the use of ranges in the multiple selection box.
4. Allows multiple individual selections.
I can achieve most using the following:
select-options s_knvh for knvh-kunnr no intervals.
However, this still allows ranges using the multiple selection box, and also allows the "not equal to" option.
Adding the "no-extension" syntax simply removes my ability to use multiple individual entries.
Any ideas?

A quick question about WebDynpro SLD and R/3 with concurrent users

Hello ,
I have a very quick question about Webdynpros and SLD connecting to an R/3 system, when you configure a webdynpro to connect to an R/3 system using SLD, you configure a user name and password from the R/3 for the SLD to use. What I would like to know is when I have concurrent users of my webdynpro, how can I know what one user did in R/3 and what another user did? Is there a way for the users of the web dynpro to use their R/3 credentials so SLD can access the R/3? Like dynamically configuring the SLD for each user?
- I would like to avoid leaving their their passwords open in the code ( configuring two variable to get the users username and password and use these variables as JCO username and password )

You will have to use Single Sign On to achieve this. In the destination you have defined to connect to R/3 , there is an option to 'useSSO' instead of userid and password. This will ensure that calls to R/3 will be with the userid that has logged into WAS. You wont need to pass any passwords because a login ticket is generated from WAS and passed on to R/3. The userid is derived from this ticket.
For this to happen you will have to maintain a trust relation ship between R/3 and your WAS ,there is detailed documentation of this in help files. Configuration is very straight forward and is easy to perform
