Training and Event Mgt module Budget

Dear Friends
The training dept wants to make a budget for the entire year for their training programs. How to perform this budget activities in Training and Event Mgt module
Or it should be done in FI?
Please let me know the procedure

Hi,
First you need to configure the settings in TEM integration with Budget Management. You require these settings, for example, for comparing the budgets created for your organizational units with the costs incurred by further training and education measures.
For budgeting:
Path: Human Resources->Training and Event Management->Business Events -> Budget -> Budgeting
TCode: PVBO
After completign the budgeting you have to release the budget for using. Once you release the budget, you cannot make any changes.
Then you can make the budget comparison:
Path: Human Resources->Training and Event Management->Business Events -> Budget -> Budget Comparison
Tcode: PVBA

    Hi all,
    I am implementing ess1.0 on EP6.0, NW7.0, ecc6.0.
    now in ess1.0 i could not find traing and event manag. module, but i found it in ITS version of ess.
    how can i incorporate 'traing and event manag' module in ess1.0??
    do i need to download two version of ess?...i doubt if its feasible!...can anybody guide me on this?
    I am new to portal, and hence trying to learn thing in EP ESS...please throw in your help ASAP

    PPVAR - VFAXN Organizer's fax no.

    How do i ensure that values are contained in these variables.

    PLOGI-TIME = '1'
    SEMIN-APART = 0420
    Created Attendance Type, Quota, Deduction rules etc.
    Configured a Business Event Type, Business Event and Booked a person against the same. I firmly booked the event and did the followup.
    PLOGI PLOGI entry for the integration of Training and Event Management Entry variant
    SEMIN-TIMEP entry to specify the minimum percentage attendance for the business event to create an attendance.
    1001 relationships and the A025 relation between the E and the P has a percentage (PROZT) of 0%. Could it be the reason? If yes, how can I change this value to 100%

  • Authrorization for Training and event management module

    HI Friends,
    I am facing an issue related to authorization for users in TEM module. I have created new role by copying Standard Role ofu201DSAP_HR_PE_TRAININGADMINu201D Training Administrator. I have activated only TEM related transactions in u201CP_TCODEu201D in Human Resource Node.
    I have assigned this role to user. I executed transaction u201CPSV2u201D. I can see training Catalog but when I go in to any business event group or type and then select u201CChangeu201D button, System displaysu201D No Authorizationu201D.
    I executed Su53 to check which auth is missing. System needs PP01 transaction in P_Tcode and S_Tcode part.  We canu2019t give PP01 auth to users.
    Could you please suggest any solution for this issue? Or how can we restrict auth for PP01 with object types related to Tem module so that user canu2019t see details maintained for other objects like job, position etc.
    Kindly help me regarding this issue.

    Hi,
    it si possible to restrict the access to specific object types. You can do it via structural authorizations, or using authorization object PLOG. assign this object to the user, and just assign under OTYPE the objects the user should access.

    I have a issue in TEM :What is the use of Concept Booking Priority(BP).If i booked some attendance for event showing one empl for "09" other empl for "50" Etc...
    Also i want to know waiting list employee once reaches to maximum,where we can do this?

    Hi Kumar,
    Booking Priority determines where an attendee is placed on the attendee list or waiting list.
    When you book attendance, you can assign the booking a priority yourself or let the system assign it automatically. The following restrictions apply:
    - You can assign normal booking priority upto optimum capacity only. Bookings w. this priority are assured a place on the event as a rule but they may be moved down to the waiting list when the event is put in firmly booked status if necessary.
    - You can assign essential booking priority upto maximum capacity. Bookings w. this priority are assured a place on the event. Essential bookings cannot be displaced when the event is firmly booked.
    - You assign a waiting list booking when a business event is fully booked. You can assign waiting list candidates places on the event if they become available as a result of cancellations.
    Booking priorities are indicated by a numerical value.

    Each employee attending training can be required to complete a Pre and Post Learning Evaluation form. A dynamic action can be included in the system which automatically includes the creation of a date for completion of a Pre Learning and Post Learning form when the training course is booked. The task would then prompt the Line Manager that the completion of the form is due.
    The design of the form will be left to local implementation but must include the following:
    Pre Learning
    u2022     To confirm that proposed learning has been discussed and is linked to personal and business objectives.
    Post Learning
    u2022     Review that the learning objectives have been met.
    u2022     Actions to implement learning in the workplace
    u2022     Further review of how learning has impacted business at individual and team level

    Hello Prasad,
    'Protected' means,  that the flag 'input' for the pushbutton of the tabstrip is set to 0. For a normal pushbutton this is allowed but not for a pushbutton which is the title of a tabstrip.

    Have copied the form for definite confirmation (HR_ALL_FIX) of place into ZHR_ALL_FIX so as to suit the client needs. The problem now is that the attendees addresses are not coming out. when i try and print the correspondence i get the following error.

    Thanks for the reply.  Yes, I have run RHPROFL0.
    Our Timekeeper stuctural authorization uses a custom evaluation path that starts from the employee's position, and on the position, we have a custom relationship 'Z50' - "Time Admin for".  Here's the eval path:
    S  AZ50 (Time Admin for)         O
    O  B003 (Incorporates)             S
    O  B002 (Is line supervisor of) O
    S  A008 (Holder)                       *
    We tried adding a relationship from the business event to the individual orgs, then adding the follow lines to the eval path:
    O  B036 (Organizes)                  D
    D  B020 (Is a generalization of)  E
    No luck yet, but I'm still experimenting.

    Hi .
    I have some questions regarding Training and Event Management module.
    1. IS there a way to configure a custom attendee type for this module ?
    2. If no is there a way to rename a existing attendee type. I have a requirement to create a group of attendees type of External Person. I know i can use Company attendee type for grouping external person. But i need to change this Company to Group for displaying purposes. I know i can change the Company via T7778O table but won't it lead to bad consequences ?
    3. Is there a way to hide tabstrips on PVOO screen ? i have a requirement to keep only Company tabstrip others are not relevant for my scenario.

    thanks this one is ok, the one which I can not find is the info message for when the maximum capacity of the attendee list is reached:
    'Optimum capacity reached, only essential or wait list bookings possible' This one I want to change into a warning message.

    in my company we have ess in which training and event management module is working fine.i need to develop a report in which training booked against employee through tc-psv1 means in sap-r/3 and through ess means tc-pv8i will come.means saggregation for sap r/3 and ess will come.

    I would like to know are there any email supported in Training and Event Management Module.
    For example, after HR administrator help book courses for staff, system will trigger an email notification to staff mailbox with certain course detail information

    Hi Bill,
    In your case the event for triggering the email notifications will be when the booking is done. So before booking, for the object like Business event type and/or business event group some relationship exits. Once you do a booking of course, additional relationship will be created in different objects. Not exactly sure about the relationship code, but you can easily find out from hrp1001.
    So yoor program will check for this partcular relationship, and if it exists then will send mail notifications.

  • Training and Event Management Implementation based on competencies

    Dear Friends,
    My client is going ahead for Training and Event Managment Implementation. They have a basic requirement to start with and that is :
    1) They have done competency mapping for all its employees and they want that the competencies of each employees(along with the skill levels) to be recorded in the system and that has to be the starting point of using Training and Event Management module.
    2) They want, if the competencies can flow based on Job/ Position.
    3) Some identifier to the competencies, whther it has flowed from Appraisal or any other sources in the Final Training Needs.
    Kindly provide me help, as to how I will be able to achieve that and in what Infotypes the data pertaining to Training and Event Managment will be stored.
    If u all can kindly share with me the User Manuals and Configuration Docs of Training and Event Management, it will be of great help.

    Competencies can be stored as qualifications in PD and then by activation of PD PA intergration can be seen from pa30 infotype 24.
    Qualifications can be stored against a Job/Position and are called as the Requirements. They are seen as a separate Tab and to which ever position the person is linked to the corresponding qualifications of the position will appear in the requirements tab.
    You can maintain the proficiency and a note along with the qualification when assigned to a person.
    Also Appraisals can have qualifications in the template rather than criteria and criteria groups.
    Also after training is completed during the follow up we can create an appraisal and transfer the qualifications or simply transfer the qualifications to the employee.

I also guess that i have to use the Feature MAILS for it. but i am not sure abt it and also not sure how to configure it.     Notifications in T&E are done through Workflow.Dynamic Actions are only for PA Infotypes.

  • Billing within Training and event management

    Dear experts!
    Now, I'm getting some issue about performing billing in training and event management.
    - The first, I created business event, book attendees for the business event with billing.
    - Second, I firmly business event, after that billing for the business event.
    At the same time, the system display error: "E VF 022 Customer 0000110003: Customer master table KNVV is missing"
    Really, I configured the integration between training and event management module and SD module.
