can anyone tell me how to integrate time and training and event mgmt..
configuration of time is done and i want to see the attendance getting reflected in rptabs50 when i book attendance for a person..
how can i do this.....

Requirements
You must first enter the integration plan version valid for PE in the PLOGI PLOGI entry in the step Set active plan version.
Standard settings
In the standard system, this switch is not active. It contains no preset value.
Further notes
The Training and Event Management component can be used without an interface to Time Management.
If you do not have an interface with PT, the following function is not available: use of attendance and absence types for instructor function and training measures.

Setting up ESS for Training and Event Mgmt
Hello to all SAP HR experts,
i am now doing a project on SAP ERP HCM and would like to learn more about the things and steps i need to do to come up with a ESS for Training and Event Management. I have an account for SAP Netweaver and able to access Enterprise Portal (EP). Do i require to navigate in EP to use the items there or do i need to set up an adobe interactive form using SAP Netweaver Developer Studio, design the flow at Visual Studio(VC), then link all the VC at Guided Procedure? If that's the case how am going to extract the data which i have configured in the IMG path under Training and event mgmt (TEM) and also SAP Learning Solution(LSO)?
For an example: I have created Training Event Groups, Training Event Types and Courses. If i want to so a paperless ESS, how can i extract all this into the fields which i have designed in my adobe interactive form.
Please help me and guide me along

There are 2 end user possibilities for Learning
One is PV7I and PV8I ITS services which are part of an old ESS role and can be used as integrated ITS versions
any ESS role via HpF or called directly via URL (without a Portal) - this will allow users to book course and events and view/change bookings etc
The other is Business Package for Learning 1.0 which requires a Portal (and other LSO dependancies to run)
this provides a wider range of Learning based activities including booking etc

Training and event mgmt - employee absent scenario.
Hi SAP Gurus,
The scenario which i am working on Training and event mgmt.
Here the scenario is if an employee applied for training program for 2 days and got confirmed, and the employee has not attended for 1 day, we need to deduct one day salary (LOP) for that one day.
For my cleint Payroll is not implemented, we are using third party payroll called Hewitt Associates. My client team is suggesting me to check whether it is possible to track the employee through time mgmt from Attendance.
Here we are using negative time mgmt. How to do this scenario?

is therer any infotype for training and event management????Check this table HRVSCHED, or else click the field in which u maintain attendence and press F1, then choose technical information, u can see the table name there, reward if helpful

i hav a doubt.. is it possible to send a mail aotumatically to the invities who attend the training???? actually i tried in correspondance where we hav an option to send a mail which i hav checked.. then i clicked on output,,,, but it gav som error "test variables , see log".... what is this error??? plz help me....Hi,
each type of notification is linked to a standard text in table T77VD. The standard SAP texts contain fields that are dynamically filled e.g. Course name, Instructor name, Location etc. If even one of the required variables is missing when you produce the text (e.g. you have not booked an instructor), the notification is not sent.
You can see why the error occured in transactions PVK0 or PP40, which manage correspondence in Training and Events. -

. Can we have multiple templates for the feedback form and attach a template to a program?
Ex: Different set of questions in Template A, Template b etc. Template A will be used for all role based programs, Template B for behavioral programs etcYes, it's been awhile since I worked in TEM but you can do this. There is a standard relationship between object D and the appraisal object (BA or BS.) Note, TEM uses the old appraisal objects not the new performance management objects (the LSO uses these.)

The training and event mgmt configuration is completed in R/3. The client requirement is that the training calendar should be displayed in ESS, so that every employee can apply the training. What are the additional functionalities required for my scenario?
What are the authorizations required for employee / users to apply the trainings and also for the training approvers.
Vijayplease note TEM is superceded by LSO ie learning solution which has the same functionality but in front end
and can be integrated easily with portal as it is BSP based

Employee get booked for an event during absence in Training and event manag

I am having foloowing issue :
I am able to book an employee for a period during which absence already created in system for the employee. I have checked all the settings at course type level in Course Type info infotype " Allowed in time off " is disabled.
PLOGI TIME switch is active.
Why its happening ?

If we do all this, I have verified, that even if employee has one day absence during a course for more than 1 day, system does not allow me to book a training course when an absence already exists.
If you are certain that the settings are all correct, then it looks as if there might be some kind of product bug in your system and it may be required to raise an OSS message for the same. I cannot think of anything else that needs to be set up for this. -
Training and Event Management - Blocking

I'm just starting my journey into sap world and i face with some, i hope simple, problem.
Is that anyway to configure some kind of time buffer(e.g. 24h) before event, in which no one can cancel this event, or maybe this can be achieved in some other way that configuration?

Which version of SAP LMS or Training & Event management you are using ? I know there is an option in Training and Event mgmt to Lock a Business Event. You can have your training administrators lock the business Event (they dont want emplyee to cancel) 24hr before the actual event time.
SAP Standard Menu choose Human Resources --Training and Events --Business Events -Lock/Unlock. Enter the business event you want to lock. However I am not sure if this can be done programmatically to be automatic feature for all business events.
Also it depends if you are using ITS or Portal. In ITS you may be able to configure the workflow to mould the cancelling status of employees.

you can maintain this in that path: Human Resources -> Training & Event Management -> Settings -> Current settings -> Resource Management -> S_AHR_61011893 - External Instructor.
you can maintain:
1) Object (first name, last name).
2) Relationships (belong to a company).
3) Address.
4) Name format.

i need to know if we can maintain the training catalog based on company codes... as of now i can see the training catalog for the plan version... is it possible to have 2 catalogs for 2 different company codes which are in the same plan versions????Dear Achana,
As per my knowledge that you can do what you need by restricting this in the Authorization Level in SAP Security Roles.
Also you can develop a Function Module that for example when this user access some Training and Event Management data, then this FM will read the InfoType 0001 the Company Code, then accordingly will display.
Also you can create 2 general high level Business Event Grouping of the Training Catalogue, then you can play with its access from the function module.
This is my suggestions, I hope it will help

Training & Event Mgmt. in ESS
Till date whichever document I have read regarding ESS, it says that "Training & Event Management" is part of it. Today when I am implementing ESS for my client, I see that ESS is having all the functionalities e.g. Leave request, Who's who, Life and work, Benefit & payment, Travel etc., but not TEM anywhere.
My client needs Training related functionalities in ESS.
Can anyone help regarding how do I add TEM in ESS?Hi
In the new version of ESS the Training and Event management is part of Learning Solution. Its now a different component.
having said that the old functionality is still available.
It the scope of the project is not to implement LSO ( Learning Portal)
Pls ask your portal consultant to create IAC iveiw.
for you pls go to tcode, SICF > f8 > default_host > sap > bc > gui and find PV0I and many more will be there.
You need to activate and provide the list of services to Portal admin to add that into ESS main Role.

Extraction and loading of Training and Event Management data (0HR_PE_1)
hello,
I've got the following doubt:
before BI 7.0 release, extractor 0HR_PE_1 extracts event data (eventid, attendee id, calday,...) but if you load straight to cube 0PE_C01, as Calendar year/month needs a reference date (for example, event start date), you'll get total duration of event in hours or days refered to event star date.
So in a query filtered by month, you get total duration of an event that starts in the filtered month but it couldn`t end until few months later o year later, so you don´t get appropiate information.
Example:
Event calday Hours
10004377 20081120 500 but from event_attr event end date is 20090410.
In a query filtered by 200811 you get total duration time (500 hours when in 200811 event hours have been 20) or if you filter by any month of 2009 you don´t get information of duration of that event.
I had to create a copy of standar cube (without calday, only Calendar year/month, Calendar year in time dimension) and disaggrate data creating as many entries for an event as months lasts and adjust calculation of ratios duration of event (duration of event in each month/ total duration of event).
The question is: Is there any improvement or change on business content in BI 7.0 to treat Training and Event Management data? Has anybody had to deal with that?

TEM data is stored in HRP tables.
You can load the catalog by creating LSMWs for objects Business event group (L), Business event types (D), Locations (F), Organizers (U) as per requirement.
LSMW for tcode PP01 can be used to create these objects.
To create Business Events (E) you can create LSMW for PV10/PV11.
To book attendee create LSMW for tcode PV08 as here you can specify the actual business event ID which reduces ambiguity.
tcode PV12 to firmly book events
tcode PV15 to follow up

I'm not sure if you will find a user guide book for end user. So far I have not seen it yet.
We create our own user guide according to the company needs for MSS. You can start off via the link below and with the help.sap.

Go through the help.sap for MSS (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/2f/d7844205625551e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm) and then highlight the functions of MSS which your company wants to implement and then from the help.sap, create your own user guide. Its very comprehensive and you can create afew MSS function user guides within afew hours (and you will be told what you need to lookout for interms of needed configuration in both Portal and your HR backend system).

Training & Event Management runs between objects like business event group, business event type, types of resources like internal and external and resources also comprises of objects like room, different equipments.
Mainly you have to concentrate on the objects and the relationships which they hold.
You have to maintain settings for the above mentioned objects. and different infotypes.
First understand your client requirements then you can proceed for trainings / events.
It starts with training nomination and ends with training / trainee appraisal between these two steps there are differenct processes which purely depends on client to client.
