How do we create warning and error messages (like in PA) for Training and Events when doing certain selections when capturing a business event (D)?

Thanks for the formal reply. However, That was a query from the customer for me and as I'm not much into the T&E module, I'm bit unsure if we could do this or not.
However, the customer requires if it is possible to Create a Business event without creating a schedule?? This is because, for a particular business event in the system, some employees book in for 3 days and some for 4 or 5 days. In such cases the customer would like to know if a business event without times could be maintained or not.I'll be glad if you could let me know the process as I'm in need of an urgency with this issue.

My issue is - i have created my Business event groups n event types. when i right click on BET (or PV10) and create With/WIthout resources i am unable to save. i.e. i am unable to create a Business Event. when i click on save the screen doesnt get saved and the business event is not created under BET.
But the icon pops at the Location. i have created few Locations via OOLC too
Is there any setting iam missing?? Request your help to get this resolved.

How to create new business events in SAP?

Hello my name is Karen I am new in the HR department.
Althought I work in HR Im also the training coordinator. My organitation is a new company and we are just implementing SAP.
During the whole 2013 none of the courses given were upload to SAP. I need to upload all of them. I have not use SAP. I have a cupple of question.
What transactions to use in order to upload the courses we have offered and the participants?
Is there a way we can upload massively?

you can crete Transaction code in Transaction SE93.
To create a transaction code:
Enter a transaction code (up to 20 characters).
Choose Create.
A dialog box appears. Enter a short text and choose the transaction type.
The transaction type can be as follows:
Dialog Transactions
Report Transactions
Object-Oriented Transactions
Variant Transactions
Parameter Transactions
In a report transaction, you use a transaction code to start an executable program (type 1). An executable program usually has three steps - data entry (selection screen), data processing (often using a logical database ), and data output (list).
To create a report transaction, use the Transaction Maintenance transaction (SE93). Once you have entered a transaction code and short description, choose transaction type Program and selection screen (report transaction).
When you define a report transaction, you can specify the selection screen and variant with which you want it to start.
You can also protect the report transaction against unauthorized use. To do this, enter the name of an authorization object in the corresponding field.
Dialog Transactions
In a dialog transaction, the flow of the program is determined by a sequence of screens. The screens that are called within a transaction should belong to a single ABAP program, usually a module pool (type M program).
To create a dialog transaction, use the Transaction Maintenance transaction (SE93). Once you have entered a transaction code and short description, choose transaction type Program and screen (dialog transaction).
You can create transaction codes for Custom query;s created using SQVI also

Business Event Brochure in Training and Event Management?

Hi Guru's
My client has a requirement as follows. The training administrator decides the Business Event Types which for which superiors can book their subordinates or not. Those events are stored at a particular place. Once the administrator stores them, a mail should be triggered to all the superiors. Thus superior can have a list of event types for which he can book his subordinates. When he books for such events, a mail should be triggered to his subordinates regarding the training event. If an employee books for an event, a mail should be triggered to his superior for approval.
How is this possible? According to me, those events will be "Included in Brochure" (in Business Event Type Infotype). Am I right?
Please suggest me.

Hi Experts,
I would like to know if there is any BAPI/ FM available to create a Business Event Under particular Busness Group and Type.
I have Some more things to have a clarification on
1. When we create Business Event in PV10, Where all the data is stored? is there any master table which holds the all values in that screen? or values are stored in separate tables? if they are in separate tables, may i now what are them and the associated infotypes also.
I debugged the Tcode to find out which FM?BAPI is getting Called while saving the data, but could not find the exact one
Please let me know the FM/BAPI to create a business Event

How to create new or check current business event in Oracle INV/PO?

How can i define/create new business event related to items or suppliers?
I know we need to login to WF admin responsibility. But i just wanted to where we can able to create event from frontend and that too from inventory or purchasing responsibilities.
I have collected five from oracle.apps.inv.item realted to items and four related to suppliers.
Could you please help me in how to create Business events from frontend and that to from oracle inventory.. and even i would like to here some thing on trading partners setups also.

No, in this case, I'm using standard JSP with ADF and struts validator.
If I don't use struts validator and there are errors (such as putting a string into a number which produces a jbo-25009), the list value will be retained.
When using the validator, it appears that it is NOT retained.
I've written some code to attempt to set the list element back, which "looks like" it's working right now.
There's still a problem with the second scenario:
1. user clicks checkbox and hits [submit]
2. get's error - you have to enter 5 address items
3. User wants to backout, so he unchecks the box and resubmits
4. The box redisplays as "checked"
SO, at that point, I thought... can't I use YOUR EXAMPLE on how to handle a checkbox.
I place some code in the reset method of the form to perform this:

(that is, I've detected via the request that this flag is null), so I'm trying to make sure it retains it!
I do that and it runs into a problem during the processUpdateModel aT:

Historical Record flag set when creating business event type

Hi all
One of our users created a business event type using the master data catalogue. There was a pre-existing group and the event type was created one level down from the group.
Once the event type was created and he tried to edit it he got an error message that said that the object has a historical record flag. This is also indicated in the table (HRP1000-HISTO). He then tried to recreate the course again with the same result.
I have not been able to find where this is set (only found something under follow-up activities which is not relevant to this case). Can anyone help please - how is this setting made? Any ideas if it can be removed?

Creation of Business Event Type

We have already created a Business Event Type called Safety Refresher. Actually this training will happen every month. already created Safety Refresher and again trying to create its showing business event type already exists. Now i want under safety refresher is it possible to maintain month wise for the whole year or particular perilod.

You have not to create Business Event Type again and again. You only have to create new Business Event only under the said business event type. Use copy function and copy the previous business event and assign a new Schedule for the next month, also assing resources if required and then you can book the attendees against that new business event.

      BET            (D)
(course)BE        (E),
You booked the attendance to business event type. That booking date is called Bsuiness event.
You will not get any information about the Business event, check the PP01 select the course then give your course(E) no: .
You maintained business events to business types. Check the PSV1 and PSV2. You will get the business events.
Input field for a criteria in Performance Appraisal Template maintained in PD -
. I donot understand what is this.

Registering business event definitions in soa infrastructure

Hi,
What do I need to do to register events into the soa infrastructure so components can publish and subscribe to them?
Everything I found was to create an empty composite, use the wizard to create new business event, add the event and save. But that does not register it in the soa infrastructure... when I go to Enterprise Manager | Business events --> there are not definitions....
What else needs to happen?
Any help greatly appreciated!

Events are only shown when there are subscribers to that particular event. What you also may consider is placing the event definition in the MDS. In this case you can reuse the event by just pointing to the shared metadata and event definitions aren't fragemented over several composites.

Business Event Does Not Appear in ESS Portal

I would like to ask for assistance on this problem:
A user created a business event in the SAP system. But she canu2019t make a booking in this course through the ESS portal because the course canu2019t be found upon searching it. She always got this error message: u201Crestrictions, or use a different search termu201D. We already provided her a number of workaround solutions like using different search terms, changing the field period to all, etc. but still she canu2019t see this course in the portal to make a booking.
Can you help me on this?

Set the property "Add to Favourites" to Yes
Portal Content -> Content provided by SAP -> End user Content -> Standard Portal User -> Default Framework page ---> Edit Object
Open the Page Title Bar -> Search for the property -> Show 'Add to Browser Favorites'
and set this property to Yes.
Now refresh the page. It will show this option.

While I was trying to create a Business Event in PSV2, sys showing a msg like Planning period is not in business event interval while creating without resources
But for the same for the same period if I try to create with resources its taking
Whether any problem with the Planning period

An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SEMANTICS', was
not caught in
procedure "RH_BASE_READ_INFTY_NNNN" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a
RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:

Cause and prerequisites
The system wants to access table HRPnnnn particularly by means of an entry in the infotype check table T777D. This access can be processed in various places, including in the profile generator. Here, a termination occurs if the 'ent' table/structure in the dictionary is no longer available. This generally affcts customer-specific infotypes. These have been created and possibly deleted again. However, the entry in table T777D is not available. You can also import the entry into another system with a transport of the table. If the HRP table/structure is then missing, a termination may also occur in this case.
Solution
You must check on an individual basis which infotype the termination refers to. If it is a customer-specific infotype, the customer is responsible for removing the cause of the termination. If the table entry is a 'remnant', the entry can simply be deleted.
If the termination refers to an SAP structure, you should consult SAP before carrying out any further activities.

Regarding business event Creation

Hi folks,
My requirement is to create a workflow using business event. It is done and working as expected in 'development' instance.
Next I need to move the workflow and implement the business events in 'Production' instance. But am not having the sysadmin login credentials for production and it is the option to create to business events.
Kindly suggest me any other solution for this

You can do this via command line WFXLoad utility but you will need the apps scheme password.
In the source environment, where the event and its subscriptions are define, download the data as follows:
- Download business event definition
java oracle.apps.fnd.wf.WFXLoad -d apps <passwd> <db server name>:<port>:<SID> thin US eventDef.wfx EVENTS <event name>
example

- Download business event subscriptions

In the target instance, where you do not have access to events studio:
- Upload business event definition
java oracle.apps.fnd.wf.WFXLoad -u apps <passwd> <db server name>:<port>:<SID> thin US eventDef.wfx
- Upload business event subscriptions
java oracle.apps.fnd.wf.WFXLoad -u apps <passwd> <db server name>:<port>:<SID> thin US eventSubs.wfx
In the syntax I used eventDef.wfx and eventSubs.wfx but you can use any file name.
