Thanks.

Hi all,
It would be great if anyone can guide me to the in-depth training resources available for CRM 7.0, apart from the OKP maps and the detailed presentations. Are there any trainings in the form of webex/SAP tutor sessions?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!Hello
Refer to the below. This should help.

Training resources for Motion 3
It seems the availability of tutorials for Motion 3 are taking quite a while to make an appearance.
Anyone know of any good books, training DVD's or tutorials for Motion 3?
I have already viewed the two tutorials from a previous thread from dvcreators.I know what you mean.
Here's a story about the importance of having training materials available. Back in the mid 90s there weren't a lot of choices for creating 3D on the Macintosh. As I recall there was something like 3 programs available for the Mac. So I purchased a program called Strata Studio Pro. Which seemed to be the most popular at the time. Later I discovered there were virtually NO training materials available. There was ONE book and a magazine that Strata put out. And that was it. Nothing else.
Seeing how I couldn't learn it in my spare time, I just gave up on that program and purchased Lightwave instead. Lightwave was available on the PC for years before it got ported over to the Mac. So there were plenty of books available. Since then Strata just sorta' faded away. Nobody talks about it. Nobody uses it. You don't see it advertised anywhere. And although they're still in business, at one time they could've dominated the Mac market, instead they went nowhere.
So I hope Apple can see the importance of having training materials available and does everything they can to promote Motion's use. Because I'd hate to have purchased another Strata Studio Pro. -
Resources for Power User Training Material
Hi,
I am developing training materials for power user group. Can someone points me to the resources available on the Internet on this?
Thanks!Hi Fulham,
I did something similar to this a couple of years ago. I found some great material in the SAP Marketplace. Afraid I do not have the links anymore, but there were 2 massive pdf files, one named "BW_Functions in Detail", the other "Business Explorer". Maybe 1/3 of the material was suitable for Power Users (who are mostly interested in getting data out of BW, as opposed to getting data into BW).
Would be happy to chat futher if you like. You can write to me at [email protected] I can offer you insights into what we thought Power Users would do compared to what they actually ended up doing. (Your experience might differ, of course.)

Weblogic Server self-training resources
Could anyone point me in the direction some good self-training resources (books, CBT's, etc.) for Weblogic Server - preferably 8.1? We're getting our feet wet with a third-party app that incorporates Weblogic Server 8.1, but we have no experience with it.
Thanks for any help you can give me.http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/

What is the best resource for Discoverer novice.
I need direction in this tool. what is the best resource for me to use.
Hi Ade
You could do a lot worse than get hold of a copy of the Oracle Discoverer 10g Handbook that I wrote. It will walk you through much of what you need to know. You can find it on amazon.com or via a link from my website: http://learndiscoverer.com/books/books.htm
Another good resource would be a training class in either the Admin tool or End User tool or both. Oracle Corporation offer excellent training as do many other companies, including mine. Just google Discoverer Training.
Further resources are the Oracle By Example series on the OTN forum. These are free. You will find the Discoverer lessons here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_bi/discoverer/discoverer_1012/index.html
Other resources, such as blogs, abound on the web too. Here are some:
Oracle BI Blog: http://oraclebi.blogspot.com/

My Blog: http://learndiscoverer.blogspot.com/

Hello, I am hoping some of the forum members here might be able to shed some light on a few things for me....
For those of you who are relatively new to digital photography, and editing / organizing / sharing your pictures from a computer, which learning methods do you find are most helpful to you as you're finding out about all the tools and services available? Granted, iPhoto is a very intuitive and easy-to-use program relative to many others of its kind, but everyone needs some help getting off the ground in the very beginning. In fact I could ask the same question relative to OS X -- when you first used OS X, how did you learn about it / get the information you need?
Do you prefer to buy a good book, and then reference that book for answers as you explore the program? Do you prefer books that take you through exercises, where you follow along on your computer? Is it easier to learn from screenshots and accompanying "quick facts", or well-written explanations of how a function works / when to use it? Blurbs or paragraphs, in other words? : )
Or, do you prefer video-based training, where you watch things happen on a recorded screen environment, with a narrator explaining the steps as they go? Or even, a combination... some books come with CDs that have such videos on them.
Last but not least, maybe you prefer a classroom environment (for the more challenging software), where you can ask questions of the instructor in real-time as they explain things. Obviously for iPhoto a class setting is overkill in most cases but, when you step up to programs like Photoshop or Aperture or Final Cut Express (if you use iMovie for example), how do you think you'll approach that?
Any feedback would be genuinely helpful. I've been tasked with instructing a small group of people how to get started with some advanced photo and video-related software (none of whom I will have the chance to speak with before-hand). I want to make recommendations for when they're "on their own" and tailor my instruction approach to those recommendations, so everything is a logical progression.
Thanks!
G5 Dual 2GHz Mac OS X (10.4.9) 6GB RAM, WD Raptor II 150GB, Radeon 9800 Pro SMEWelcome to the Apple Discussions.
Just put the photos into the Photo Book template and iPhoto will do the rest.

Making own Templates for iPhoto
in iPhoto `08, when you export pictures as a website, you can choose either a default template or one with bordered images.
I wondered if there wont be more templates with the time. As long I figured out where those Templates are stored. Depending on the localization you can find it i.e. in:
Photo.app/Contents/Plugins/HTMLExporter.iPhotoExporter/Contents/Resources/German .lproj/Templates
I tried to make an own template by modifying a copy of one of those templates. It works pretty fine. But there is one problem:
iPhoto uses as variable stuff like <ipt_photo>, or <ipt_links>.
I can change any html synthax I want in those templates, but when I set those iphoto synthax just on another place, iPhoto doesn't translate them anymore, when it proceedes to generate the html files.
Anyone any idea???Why not use iWeb where you have 24 frames and 26 customizable page themes to use? Much more flexible than the limited web export from iPhoto and no hacking required.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file. -
Online Training Options for Adobe FM 8?
Hi there!
I'm currrently researching online training options for FM 8 on behalf of a software development company I'm working at. My department is currently very interested in switching to FM from Word and this is definitely an exciting time for us. For now, we're looking to acquaint ourselves with FM basics and its long-document management abilities.
Has anyone taken up FM 8 training via the Element K Adobe Online Training Library? How valuable and effective was this training?
Are there any other reputable and effective online training resources out there? If needed, I'm also open to on-site training in the greater Vancouver area of British Columbia.Vincent...
Here is an excellent reference:

Making The Switch | Training Resources?
Greetings:
I've finally decided to jump from FCP7 to FCPX. I know there have been several updates and improvements since the initial release.
My question is, what training resources will provide me with the most updated information to learn FCPX? For the record I love Diana Weynand's Apple Training, but I'm thinking the book is a bit outdated now. Also love Larry Jordan and the stuff he does. Someone also suggested lynda.com. I'm a bit out of the loop on the best training resources. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Wanna' get as much as I can out of my training...
Thanks! There's a list of training and other resources here: http://fcpx.tv/fcp/index.html I don't know how up to date this list is (It says September but no year listed) but the resources are still good.
I'm a member of Lynda.com. The training is very good but their courses lag behind the changes in FCP X by several months.
The most up to date info in paid training is Larry Jordan and Ripple Training. Both linked on resource page mentioned above.
Also check out the Macbreak Studio podcast from the Pixelcorps http://www.pixelcorps.tv/macbreak_studio This video podcast is done by the Ripple Training guys and provides some great tips on new features. -

Resources for creating secure Flash content?
I am looking for any articles, tutorials or other resources
for creating secure Flash content. Maybe even a "best practices"
article? I am looking to create a login, I need to store users,
register users and secure the content.
Thanks in advance for any time of help with this.
|rossimo|Hi again Nick
I dunno, perhaps I'm too practical and that holds me back. But I see things this way. If you are just trying to come to terms with Captivate, why complicate matters further by tossing Flash into the mix. I mean, I'm assuming that Flash itself has its own nuances and ways of working. So you really have to first have a real tight handle on how it works. THEN you want to mix in Captivate. And Flash seems to have it's own way of dealing with the Captivate stuff. Inevitably Captivate seems to impose it's own "weirdness" on things. So my goal is to stay as simple as I can unless I really need to step beyond what the basics offer. Then I am keenly aware that the road I'm choosing to travel is fraught with pitfalls that won't be easy to discern or overcome.
I have to ask myself if the possible benefit warrants the extra effort involved.
Cheers... Rick

Websites, books, and other resources for learning to use Premiere Pro
What websites, books, tutorials, and other resources have you found useful for learning to use Premiere Pro?
I want to make sure that we have a comprehensive list of good resources for Premiere Pro. See this page for a list of high-quality After Effects resources that I put together; I want something like this for Premiere Pro.
I'll start. In no particular order, here are some resources that I've found valuable:
this forum (of course)
Premiere Pro Help documents and Help & Support pages in several languages
Community Help search for Premiere Pro
Getting started with Premiere Pro by video2brain
Premiere Pro CS5: Learn By Video by video2brain
video tutorials on Adobe TV and Video Workshop
Premiere Pro CS5 Classroom in a Book
Premiere Pro team blog
Premiere Pro team Facebook page and Twitter feed
PPBM5 (Premiere Pro CS5 benchmark) for performance information
Best of Premiere Pro by Eran Stern> I see mention above of Lynda.com, but either missed Total Training, or perhaps they have merged?
I didn't mention Lynda.com.
And, no, Total Training and Lynda.com certainly haven't merged.
Total Training has some good Premiere Pro stuff, but it's not the first place that I'd point someone for Premiere Pro.
