Traktor Audio 2 support in iOS8

Since the release of iOS8, our TA2s have been collecting dust.
Native Instruments is supposed to be "working closely with Apple engineers" on this for quite a while now. In the meantime, we're stuck with bricked Traktor Audio 2 cards, and they don't come cheap for what they are.
Now, I'm pretty certain NI is nowhere near bothered about it and Apple has more "important" things to worry about, than a few DJs having their low-end toys bricked.
This is where my question comes: does anyone know whether at least Apple is doing something on this front? Should we wait or just forget about our TA2 and move on? I've contacted NI twice and got no answer. I hope I get a response over here.

We are just users here.
Apple tells us nothing.
I think you best bet is to hold NI's feet to the fire because they are the ones that need to fix your problem.

    Sound is fine but I get error message every time I try to start any of the creative applications that come in mediasource like the graphic eq, speaker settings, surround mixer, EAX and THX consoles; the error: The Audio Device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit.
    I have read the forum notes on this error message and seems other have had this same issue, but I don't see any solutions...if anyone knows anything about solving this little mystery, please reply - need to get into that console to fully utilize this sound card.

    AFTER AUTOUPDATE this problem began. I removed the audigy package and reinstalled everything from the factory CD and still get this message. This happens every time I update the audigy drivers and thx. I am tired of doing recoveries to get audigy to work. Too bad I keep forgetting that the updates cause this problem. Audigy Platinum 2 works fine wothout the update. I will never update again!
    How can I resolve this problem short of a full recovery?

  • HT201386 Why is iphoto not supporte by ios8 anymore??

    Why is iphoto not supported from ios8 anymore?! I put alot of work in slideshows and now i cant use them anymore?! That really makes me angry, why are u keep making it worse and more complicated than it already is with every new update!

    Please write this to Apple using the feedback form, so the developer team will see it. This is a user-to-user forum, and we cannot do anything about it.
    Use this link:   Apple - iPhoto - Feedback
    Why is iphoto not supported from ios8 anymore?!
    Making iPhoto run on iOS8 would have required to a major upgrade and rewriting of code, since the the parts of iOS that support image processing changed considerably. Apple decided to release a new Photos.app to replace iPhoto instead of upgrading iPhoto.  See this help documents:
    Migrating from iPhoto for iOS to Photos on iOS 8
    Get help finding your Photos in iOS 8
    When you send feedback to Apple, be sure to request the features that are missing from Photos and need to be upgraded, if Photos is really to be a replacement for iPhoto.  So far, Photos is very basic, and does not yet offer, what has been lost by killing iPhoto.

  • Audio Files Supported

    I cannot find a definitive list of audio files supported by Apple TV.
    Specifically, I am looking to see if it will support all of the below file formats:
    - mp3
    - m4a (AAC)
    - m4a (ALAC)
    - wav (DTS encoded)
    Can anyone confirm or deny which of the above are supported? I would also like to see which other ones may be supported.

    Audio formats supported
    * AAC (16 to 320 Kbps); protected AAC (from iTunes Store); MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps); MP3 VBR; Apple Lossless; AIFF; WAV; Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound pass-through
    I remember a while back there were some DTS audio files encoed to wav that played but can't remember the source.

  • T520 / Conexant 20672 audio WDM support

    Does the Conexant 20672 audio chipset support WDM drivers (Windows 7)?
    Installing ASIO4ALL and thinking the 20672 chipset doesn't support WDM, hence the ASIO driver is not working .
    Thanks

    It has not been taken apart.  Do I have to send it in somewhere?  Here is my warranty info: "This product has a three year limited warranty and is entitled to depot repair service. Customers may call their local service center for more information. Dealers may provide carry-in repair for this product. Batteries have a one year warranty."  I believe the laptop was purchased online.  Where would I get in touch with a local service center?  I live in Canada.

  • Getting Traktor Audio 10 to work with ALSA or Pulseaudio

    Hi folks!
    I try to run my Native Instruments Traktor Audio 10 (a USB sound card) under pulseaudio but obtain the following behaviour:
    Pulseaudio recognises the card via its module-udev-detect. pacmd list correctly identifies it. However, it is not available as output device in pavucontrol.
    I can access the card as ALSA device plughw:1,0,0. However, this sends output to every channel at once. All higher channels (plughw:1,0,1-3) cannot be accessed. speaker-test -D plughw:1,0,1 results in Playback open error: -16,Device or resource busy. I could, for a while, live with all channels being accessed but at least I would prefer to access them through pulse.
    There is a profile set in /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/native-instruments-traktor-audio10.conf that describes the card for pulseaudio. However, I am not sure whether I need to have additional kernel modules for my sound card.
    Does anybody with a similar card (such as Audio 2/4/6/8) know how to get these to work properly under pulse or alsa?
    Regards

    Thank you!
    I could use the last asoundrc in the post you linked to. The additional channels are easy to access. My asoundrc now looks like
    pcm.T10_capture {
    type dsnoop
    ipc_key 1646
    slave {
    pcm "hw:T10"
    period_time 3
    period_size 512
    buffer_size 32768
    rate 48000
    channels 10
    pcm.T10_playback {
    type dmix
    ipc_key 1646
    slave {
    pcm "hw:T10"
    period_time 3
    period_size 512
    buffer_size 32768
    rate 48000
    channels 10
    pcm.T10_duplex {
    type asym
    playback.pcm T10_playback
    capture.pcm T10_capture
    pcm.T10_pair1 {
    type plug
    ttable.0.0 1.0
    ttable.1.1 1.0
    slave.pcm T10_duplex
    pcm.T10_pair2 {
    type plug
    ttable.0.2 1.0
    ttable.1.3 1.0
    slave.pcm T10_duplex
    pcm.T10_pair3 {
    type plug
    ttable.0.4 1.0
    ttable.1.5 1.0
    slave.pcm T10_duplex
    pcm.T10_pair4 {
    type plug
    ttable.0.6 1.0
    ttable.1.7 1.0
    slave.pcm T10_duplex
    pcm.T10_pair5 {
    type plug
    ttable.0.8 1.0
    ttable.1.9 1.0
    slave.pcm T10_duplex
    pair1 corresponds to the master output whereas pair2-5 are A-D.
    What is your configuration for pulse? My Audio 10 is not attached all the time so I would like pulse to automatically use the devices I defined in my asoundrc whenever I plug in my sound card.
    Regards

  • Is analog audio out supported using the new lightning cable adapters ?

    Is analog audio out supported using the new lightning cable adapters ?

    Yes.  Both adapters (the .2m adapter and small adapter with no cable) have built in DACs just for that purpose.
    For more information, read this story.  It's a little long but it will explain in further detail:
    http://www.macworld.com/article/2012137/hands-on-with-apples-lightning-to-30-pin -adapters.html
    I personally have a speaker dock thing from iHome.  It uses analog audio.  I have tried it with both types of adapters and it works perfectly.

  • SBH-52 Apt-X Audio Codec Support

    Hi,
    Is there any chance that we can see Apt-X Audio Codec support via a firmware upgrade on SBH-52 ? Just like the recently announced SBH-80 which supports Apt-X.
    Thanks,
    Tarkan

    Hi.
    I would like to know too if it supports Apt-X.
    It is not in the specs, but review here:
    http://homenetworking01.info/2014/05/product-reviewsony-sbh-52-bluetooth-headphone-adaptor/
    says it have AptX. So maybe a firmware update added that?
    I also have Smartband SWR10 and BM10 is on the way, so i hope all this could work together in various locations.
    Thanks.

  • CD-Rom drive with digital audio extraction support

    I am looking to get a Zen Micro for my teenage daughter. The tech specs require a CD-Rom dri've with digital audio extraction support. My older IBM Aptiva, vintage 999, meets all the other requirements. How can I know whether the CD-ROM dri've will work? We are new to MP3 type players.
    JimH

    It only needs this to create MP3s from your CDs, and there are many alternati've programs that will do this. I would suggest taking a look at the Zen FAQ at Nomadness.net and trying?a couple of the programs there. If they work, chances are that the Creative software will work (but you can always use these as an alternati've).

  • "The Audio device supported by this application..

    I Have a X-Fi Extreme Gamer PC Using Win Vista. When I click on "Creative Audio Control Panel" to open it to change modes
    it now says this.. "The Audio device supported by this application is not detected. The Application will exit."
    Everything has been redone to try and solve this. Drivers have been redone, and even took the card out and put back in.
    Device Manager shows SB X-fi workingCard works fine cause I booted up into WinXP and it all works fine.
    Can anyone help?

    This has been fixed by downloading and installing SB X-Fi Series Support Pack .0 (0/3/2009) a few threads under this one. In case anyone else has this problem thats how its fixed at the moment.

  • Audio Device Supported by This Application is Not Detec

    Just bought my Audigy4 and installed it without any problems last Thursday 3/30. On Saturday I browsed the creative website and went to automatic updates and followed all the instructions. The updates had some problems with "Regsvr32 failures" and upon rebooting found that the applications that are depending on the proper detection of the sound device are not working. I get "Audio Device Supported by this Application is Not Detected" errors. So, I called creative support since I was within the 60 day window. Their first recommendation was to remove all software following their clean uninstall procedures, swap the card out with another slot and then reinstall the software. Well, same results, though more installation errors. I called back today and the technician said to create a new user account and try. I asked him what the next step would be if this didn't work and he said; "Reinstall Windows". Can you believe that! I'm flabergasted that Creative would expect me to scratch my dri've, reinstall windows because they write crappy software. Well, not just to complalin now that I have it off my chest-I'm wondering if I am the only one who has experienced this problem, or if others have faced and overcome the same hurdle.

    Good luck, guys ... I had the same problem, among others, after updating drivers for Audigy2 ZS. Lost speakers and couldn't get them back, too. I finally managed to clear out all of the Creative stuff and reinstall the drivers from the installation CD, but the speaker assignments were permanently hosed. I even swapped the Audigy2 into a different slot on the motherboard, and it just got worse, until I was down to one speaker even though Windows said 5.. What I ended up doing was spending the majority of today restoring the entire Windows partition--I had an Acronis backup from last year on DVD--but it still isn't working quite the same.
    No more auto updates EVER. And it would be awfully nice if Creative would put some of their previous version drivers back up.

  • HTML5 Audio CSS broken in iOS8 UIwebview

    I am using the HTML5 <audio> tag in UIwebview in a number of Apps.
    The style of the audio bar and the controls is preset by Apple and that's fine, but I could use CSS to give the audio tag the desired width.
    Up to iOS7, this worked nicely (e.g. "audio {width:100%;}" would stretch the audio element to full width, including the progress bar).
    In iOS8, Apple obviously broke the CSS Support, so I cannot resize the audio bar in any way.
    Can I hope that this will be restored in an iOS update soon?
    Or are there any other possibilities to change the size of HTML5 audio elements?

    Volume Control in Firefox 11+
    This is an problem that has cropped up recently. Some of you may have noticed that the volume controls have disappeared from the audio player in Firefox 11+. True, you can mute it, and the volume controls are still controllable via the keyboard’s up and down keys, but the volume slider itself was removed due to two bugs. I assume this will return in the future, but for now, in case you were wondering what happened to them, it’s not your fault. (You can, of course, use the Media API to build your own set of custom controls.)

  • Logic Pro 8 Crashes from Core Audio - Tried Support Info

    This is my first question but I've been a Mac user since 1993. I have a MBPro 2.16 with 2GB ram. I have Logic 6.4 installed and it has been working well with the USB dongle. My factory HD was only 100GB so I just upgraded to a 500GB hybrid drive. I have Logic Pro 8, NI Komplete 5, Sampletank 2XL, MOTU Mach 5 and several other plugs that work fine on my G5 Dual 1.8. I upgraded the HD on the laptop so my Logic setup couuld be portable for use at my job as a band director.
    I installed the new HD in an OWC external case. I started with a clean install of 10.5. The laptop still had the latest version of 10.4 (11?) as the OS so I wanted to start from Panther. After the fresh install of 10.5 I restarted from the external drive and had my settings transferred to it. Everything worked fine with either drive as the startup device.
    I then installed all my music software from the original DVDs ending with Logic so it would see all the plugins on it's initial start up. I then ran software update several times until no new updates were found. I had no problems registering the plugs or getting them to work independently of Logic. I then transferred the new drive into the MBPro as the primary drive.
    When Logic starts it crashes when Core Audio is initialized. The program never did authorize a single plugin as i never makes it to the setup program.
    I have:
    1. Started Logic with the Control key and it works fine (with no plugs or driver functions). The support documentation offers that help but does not specifically mention what to do afterward to get to full functionality.
    2. I have tried to access the Audio Units Mamager in the Preferences but noting happens when I select that item (Tried many times)
    3. The Support documents mention a key command that will select the AU Manager but there are no keys assigned and the Key Commands window will not let me add any so forcing Logic to initialize Core Audio has been a bust.
    4. I noticed the mention in one of the support docs that there might be an issue with the language selected and made sure engligh was at the top of that list.
    5. I have removed all the plugs from the library folder and tried to start without them to test for a conflict with one of the plugs.
    6. Today I tried reinstalling Logic (over the old copy) with no change.
    I'm at a loss of what to do next. Does the Core Audio need to be upgraded somehow seperately from the OS? Could the old version of Logic be causing problems? I've tried starting the 6.4 and it hangs at the Initializing Core Audio also when started from the new drive. Could the Hybrid drive be an issue? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Pancenter - You hit the nail on the head. I had not heard about the Rewire conflict. As I was installing all of my music software I discovered a Digi/Avid extras disc that came with my Digi 003R. I had not intalled that originally when I installed Protools LE so I went ahead and added it as I upgraded to Protools 8. I believe the Propellerhead software came from there. Removing those files freed up Logic. Everything verified/loaded properly except the MOTU Mach 5 and all of my Bias Peak plugs. I belive the Bias plugs work fine with my G5 in my home studio but I use those more for mastering than music creation so I may not have needed them in Logic. I will troubleshoot those in the Macbook tonight. Thanks so much for your help.
