Trampoline.mov and error -50

I installed Tiger 10.4.3 to run Avid Xpress Pro 4.8.2 and since then I cannot import quicktime movies from the facility.
I tried downgrade quicktime 7.0.4 to 7.0.1. Deleted receipts and preferences and reinstalled quicktime BUT I still have this message everytime I open quictime: " quicktime cannot open the file trampoline.mov an unknown error occurred (-50)".

There was one more thing.
Some kind off stu(#*&#pid editor installed very old codecs on /library/quicktime.
I'm trying to discover who was on the facility. You will know by the newspapers. Will be the one found in 4 pieces, One for every wrong codec.

You might want to try it again. It started working for me about 10 minutes ago (~8pm CST).
This was happening for rentals and purchases.

Im trying to download a movie and error (-50) keeps showing up

I was downloading the Hunger Games and it stopped and said (err = -50) and I tried hitting resume and the same error keeps popping up. My internet connection is fine.

Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.

You have a "good WiFi connection". What does that mean exactly? Can you send and receive email and are other internet related activities working OK for you? Have you tried restarting or rebooting your iPad? Sometimes that helps. If nothing else, it's a good place to start.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

HT1725 I got "error=-36" while downloading a movie, and now I can't get it to resume

I got the error 36 while downloading a movie that I purchased. However, I had to pause it as I was downloading another movie and wanted that one to download a little quicker. Initially, I got error-50 and so I followed the instructions from that feed such as go to Itunes>preferences>restore cache and then restarted my computer (macbook pro) and restarted itunes. Now, I get error-36 and the movie still won't download. According to my account in the itunes store, it's already downloaded. I looked in Music>Itunes Library>Movies and it's not even there....so now what do I do???

What is your connection like (use speedtest.net)?
Check for interference using istumbler or netstumbler
Make sure your DNS is set correctly (settings - general - network - congifure DNS - automatic)

I had this exact issue. Spent over an hour on the phone with apple support, they couldn't resolve. Here is what I ended up doing, that worked.
1. Turned iTunes match off on all my iOS devices
2. Deleted the offending playlists from the iOS device they originated on
3. Started iTunes, let it run (literally) for an hour before it became responsive. First thing I did, before clicking anywere else was disable iTunes match. If I clicked anywhere, it would clock for another hour.
4. Let iTunes run overnight, by morning it had cleaned out the repeating play lists. This got my Mac/iTunes back to an operable state.
5. Restore iPhones from backup in iTunes.
What was causing my issue was a single playlist that was created on an iPhone, then suddenly showed up with several thousand duplicates on my other iPhone. The culprit playlist did not, for some reason, duplicate itself on my two iPads. Apple support seemed to think it was because the problem iPhone tried to sync the playlist to iCloud over and over again unsuccessfully, then it finally went through and populated the thousands of blank/failed playlists which then tried to propigate to iTunes and my other iOS devices. Seems like a reasonable theory.
I have not yet re-enabled iTunes match. So, no idea what will happen if I decide to go back down that rabbit hole.
