  • How can I transfer contacts from IPHone to Mac?,

First of all, thanks to everyone who will help me.
I syncronised many times my Iphone 3GS with Mac and everything was OK (apart that I found all the contacts twice or 3 times in Iphone).
I backuped Iphone sometimes on the Mac and others on ICloud.
Last time, I found that the adress book in Mac was almost completely empty (only 10 or so contacts, all the groups empty) but I have everything in the IPhone.
How can I now get to transfer all the contacts from IPhone to Mac?
    Thanks again
    Anna

Deleted the contacts from where?  The device? the computer? both?
Use the backup of the computer to put them back if they have been deleted off the computer.  Once that is done, they can be synced to the iPhone.

  • Cannot get contacts from Iphone into gmail :-(

Cannot get contacts from Iphone into gmail, have followed tutorial and no joy :-(

Where does your contact list have to go? (Computer, android phone, etc)

  • How do I upload contacts from iPhone to Mac Address book

I recently purchased both an iPhone and MacBook Pro. I have all my contacts in my phone, and want to sync them with address book on the mac. But when I go to Address Book on the laptop to import, the iPhone is not listed under devices. How do I access/sync the contacts from my phone?

iTunes handles the sync. Post in the iPhone forums.

  • Synching Microsoft Exchange/Outlook contacts from iPhone to Mac or PC

At work, my wife's iPhone was synched through Microsoft Exchange Server to Outlook on a PC network. Now, we have no access to that server, but all the contacts are still living on the iPhone (under a separate email account. If that email account is deleted the contacts are deleted as well). There MUST be a way to synch those contacts back to either the Mac Address Book OR her laptop PC, right? I have researched everywhere and cannot find an answer. We have tried many times to synch the phone to both Mac and PC through iTunes with "Sync Contacts" checked, but no luck. They remain on the phone, but do not move over. I have also tried opening the SQLitedb file from the backup, but it is very cryptic, with different filed split among different databases. Any help saving her 1200 contacts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I tried idrive lite and its pretty good. I was able to backup all of my contacts to the online site. The only problem is that they only provide the option to restore the contacts to another mobile device. Not to another computer. Its still better than nothing but I would still prefer to be able to transfer the contacts to my home computer so that I have the same contact list in my personal outlook on my home computer. I tried exporting the contacts from my work computer but my company uses outlook 2003 and at home I use outlook 2007 which wont recognize the pst files from the 2003 version. Also, outlook won't export export vcard or vsc files. It only provides the option to inport them. So far idrive lite is the best solution I've found but if anyone else has any suggestions I'd be very appreciative.
    Thanks.

  • I cannot transfer my contacts from iPhone to mac?

I cannot transfer my contacts and data from iphone to my macbook

I'm having the same problem with iPhone 4 and MacBook Pro. I purposely separated my contacts on the phone from the Mac's address book, but am going to get a new iPhone 5 and I don't want to lose my phone contacts, so I wanted to be sure to sync to the Mac. Doesn't anyone have a solution?
    Thanks,

  • How to transfer SMS and Contacts from iPhone to Mac?

I want to transfer my all important SMS and Contacts to computer on Mac because the box is full for a few days.So i am looking for the effective program to help me back up my stuffs. Having said that, any suggestions for a good iPhone manager/iPhone transfer software, which is better to be free without payment.
I'm desperate any help would be appreciated...

Google "PhoneView" or "iPhone Explorer" but you should be syncing your contacts with your Mac's Address Book anyway via iTunes or MobileMe. That's the way it is designed to be used.

  • How to move contacts from iphone to mac's Address book WITHOUT DELETING?

I want to move contacts from my iPhone to the address book in the computer. I'm scared about it deleting contacts in my iPhone instead as I've heard horror stories. Syncing is so freaking confusing???

    So far playing around with it back and forth. My understanding is the following;
    1. Add on iPhone / Sync / Adds to Address Book
    2. Delete on iPhone / Sync / Deletes from Address Book
    3. Add in Addres Book / Sync / Does not add to iphone (with no regards to Advanced option in iTunes)
    4. Delete in Address Book / Sync / Deletes on iPhone (with no regards to Advanced option in iTunes)

  • ICloud Contacts on iPad are Not the Same as the local Contacts on my iPhone..how can i put all my Contacts from iPhone into iCloud?

I want to have all my local iPhone Contacts in the cloud to have them also on my iPad.
iCloud only saved 36 from 225 total Contacts. My IPhone Contacts are saved on the iPhone itself, but how can I Transfer them into the cloud?

The Mac uses Mac OS X and iDevices use iOS. These are two different operating systems and the apps must be written for each operating system specifically, even when the apps go by the same name, such as the iWork apps, they are two ifferent versions of the same app for the two different platforms.
So, as an example, Safari has been written for three different operating systems, Mac OS X, iOS and Windows. And the Safari apps, as similar as they are visually, are not interchangeable for the different platforms.

  • How to synch/Copy all Notes & Contacts from iPhone into iPad

I have a iPhone which is containing a bulk data in Notes and Contacts App. I want all these notes and contacts to be available on my iPad which I recently purchased. How can I transfer or copy and paste these bulk data on my Pad.
    How do I do that?

You have already been given the best options in the links already given. You can not regularly sync data between the devices with Lotus or iTunes alone. As outlined in the support documents Notes requires iCloud, Macs or a PC running Outlook for syncing Notes. Contacts can be done with Windows XP's Address Book, Contacts in Win7/Vista or OutLook.
Alternatively your only other option is to sync your iPhone with iTunes and let it create a Backup. Once the back up is done connect the iPad then select it in iTunes. From the iPads Summary Pane select Restore and when prompted select the iPhone's backup. This is will change all the iPad's data, settings and sync settings to be the same as the iPhone's. Any data saved to the iPad will be lost. This is a one time transfer and not a good method to keep the 2 devices in sync.

  • Contacts from iphone into itunes

i have zero contacts in itunes right now.
i want to back my iphone contacts up in itunes, is this possible?
im scared to lose all my contacts, since ive done it once before accidentally (i was luckily able to recover most of them)
    thanks.

No - the iPhone doesn't support storing contact info on the SIM card.
+iTunes includes a backup for your iPhone which includes contact info on your iPhone which is updated if needed as the first step during the iTunes sync process with your iPhone.+
+On a Mac, the iPhone supports syncing contact info with Apple's Address Book or with Microslop's Entourage address book - which is synced with Apple's Address Book.+
+On a Windows PC, the iPhone supports syncing contact info with Outlook 2003 or 2007, or with Windows Contacts - the address book used by Outlook Express with XP, and used by Windows Mail with Vista, which is the name change for Outlook Express with Vista.+
If you want your iPhone contact info available on your computer, you need to sync your iPhone contact info with a supported address book app on your computer.
If you have a supported address book app available on your computer which is not being used and is empty, enter one contact in the address book on your computer before syncing contact info. Make a contact up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt when syncing contact info, which you want to select.
You choose a supported application on your computer for syncing contact info under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

  • Transferring contacts from iphone to PC and Mac

    Hi guys,
    1) Can i seek help for transferring of contacts from iphone 3g to PC? When i select sync contacts on my itunes to my pc. My contacts will not show up on the pc.
    2) Can i transfer my contacts from iphone to Mac as well?
Any help will be very much appreciated

    HI,
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692 provides tips that will resolve most issues related to syncing contacts and calendars on a PC.
Make sure you have at least one contact in the contact manager on the PC, so there are contacts to merge.
You can sync and even merge contacts on from multiple computers as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1296

  • Inputting contacts from iphone

Looking for some experience in this area:
I input contacts from iphone, and when I sync, it just goes in the main library of my contacts on my imac. Is there a way to enter the contact from iphone into a specific group before syncing? I have several different groups, and when entering them in iphone it would be nice to not have to later from the imac, find that contact, and drag it to the correct group.

The Apple Address Book database is similar to the iTunes database and iPhoto database in this regard.
You cannot place a contact in an Address Book Group without the contact being in the primary Address Book database or "All" Group first. The same with iTunes Playlists and iPhoto Albums.
This is why when importing contacts into the Address Book, all imports go to the primary Address Book "All" Group only. There is not an option to import contacts into an existing Group.
Seems like with Mac and iPhone integration and sync function, there should be a way to make this work when entering contacts on the iPhone.

  • How do i sync my contacts from iPhone 4s to my mac?

I am trying to sync from contacts from iPhone 4S to my mac.  I thought it would all work with iCloud, but it doesn't.   Can someone help me please?  thanks

Using iTunes, back up your iPhone 3G by rightclicking the name of your iPhone that appears in the "devices" tab on iTunes when you have plugges it into the computer. Once the back up has been completed, plug in your iPhone 4S and select "restore from backup". All of your files on your iPhone 3G should be successfully transfered to your iPhone 4S.
