Launch the "App's Store" and in the top right, type in "video converters".  You should see a list of free converters on this page.  Try the once called "Smart Converter", and convert it to a Quicktime video

  • How can i read my 1080 50p files from my panasonic camera

Hi all newbie here can someone give me the name of software that can read my panosonic HDC-HS700 1080-50p files from my camera i can read the HA 1920 files okay but just cant read the 1080 file, people tell me that the imac doesnt support the 1080-50p files but surely there must be some software that can read from my camera.
                 Regards to all Pete.

    Hi  EZ  Jim,
After reading and following the info you sent through, i realised that the question i asked was totally wrong.
my question is that my mac cant read or even see the 1080/50p on the hard drive of my cam, because apparently the Panasonic HDC-HS700 is not compatible with Apple can you beleive that, so now i have got to go out and by the software from Panasonic install on a crappy windows machine and then onto a portable hard drive and then back into my Mac.what a load of c--p.
So thanks EZ for your help it was in any event usefull info that you gave me,
    My very Best regards Pete.

  • Can I use Final Cut Express 4.0.1. to import movies from Panasonic VDR-D250?

Can I use Final Cut Express 4.0.1. to import movies from Panasonic VDR-D250 via USB 2.0? How? (page in handbook?)
Further specifications of this older camera:
    USB 2.0
DVD-RAM (cannot be inserted in my MBP!)
    50-PAL (signal)
    MPEG2
    Dolby Digital
I want to use FCE if possible but maybe could try to install the software of this camera on Windows virtual XP also on my MBP?

I forward an answer of Panasonic (written in German):
So Panasonic does not offer a software which is compatible with Apple!
    Betriebssysteme vorgesehen:
    - Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
    - Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
    - Microsoft Windows XP Professional

  • How do i transfer movies from ATV 3rd gen to iMac?

how do i transfer movies from ATV 3rd gen to iMac? help!

    You don't - AppleTV 3 store nothing.
Instead (assuming th efeature is available in your country), you download from the internet in iTunes.
Either on the iTunes store home page or in the Movies category you should find Purchased Quicklinks on the right side of the screen - redownload movies there.  Set download quality in iTunes Preferences.

  • Uploading movies from panasonic fz35

When connecting my fz35 camera to my imac9,1, why are my movies sometimes being uploaded to iphoto, and not imovie??

You don't download or upload movies from iCloud.
What are you trying to do?

  • Cannot import Movie from iTunes on MacBook to iMac. Error says computer not

When I try to import the movie from the shared folder on my laptop to the desktop I get an error message that says this computer is not authorized. All of my computers have been authorized.

If you purchased and not rented, it should let you stream this to your TV?
You can't defeat the DRM protection from TV or movie purchases from iTunes.
There are two things you can try though if you purchased and not rented.
If, you have a computer with up to date version of iTunes on it, Delete the movie from your iPad and try downloading it from iTunes on your computer.
From there you have two options. One is to connect the iPad to your computer and sync it to the iPad, the try playing the movie from your iPad connected to your TV.
The other option is to leave the movie on iTunes on your computer. In iTunes main menu bar under Advanced, turn on Home Sharing. On your iPad activate iTunes Home Sharing, by going into the settings app, locate the video app settings menu on the left pane, then under Home Sharing, type in your Apple ID and password to activate this feature on the iPad.
Go to the video app, itself. You should see a Sharing tab pop-up. Tap this and an icon representing your iTunes library on your computer should appear. Tap this. Let it load. Under the movies tab, search for your downloaded movie, tap the movie and tap the play button to begin streaming the movie from your computer to your iPad connected to your TV.
If this is a rental, you can only view and play the movie from one device at a time. If rented, it may not let you view the movie from other than the iPad or iTunes on the computer or AppleTV.
If delete this from the iPad, download the rental movie to iTunes on your computer and follow my procedure for sharing your iTunes library, you maybe able to stream this from your computer to the iPad to your TV in that manner.

  • HT3905 cannot download the movies from panasonic hc x920

I have the panasonic hc x920 and i have downloaded movies which i recorded from this camcorder before . it was on1080/60i movies. now when i connect the camera it says read only and does not download the movies.

    With my 1920 x 1080p 29.97 I have Blu-Ray'd the MPEG2 Blu-Ray with
    -       preset HD 1080p 23.976
    -       preset HD 1080i  29.97
First impression with the output was that I liked the 1080i 29.97 better then the 1080p 23.976.
I have not tried the H.264 Blu-Ray, due to also searching lots and thinking due to my 30 minute length, that the MPEG-2 Blu-Ray was better.
What I want to say is have Encore burn your Blu-Ray as an image first, that will help you save discs with possible errors. That is the only way I was able to get Encore to successfully burn the Blu-Rays. I have no problem with Encore burning dvd's, but my Blu-Ray path led to building the image first, then building the Blu-Ray with the image. (now I use the image process for dvd also). I still seek "do not transcode" in Encore - yes, I have encountered ' do not transcode', but I cannot tell Encore 'do not transcode'.
I do not use ImgBurn and build all discs with Encore.

  • What app do I need to view/edit movies from Panasonic HDC SD90

I have this great camera and would like to import and edit in iMovie, but can't.  I did a google search and found some free software, but my Mac does not let me open because it is and unidentified developer.

You can import directly into iMovie from this camera. The easiest way is to remove the SDHC card and put it in a USB card reader. You can also attach the camera via USB. In this case the camera must be also hooked up to AC power (not batteries only.)
iMovie should see the camera, but if it does not, click FILE/Import from Camera.
The one gotcha is you need to record in HA mode (1920x1080 interlaced, 17 Mbps).
If you record in 60P, iMovie cannot import it.
If your existing footage is 60P, and you really need super smooth slow motion, you might consider Final Cut Pro X, which will import 60P no problem, and allow you to edit the slow motion.
If your existing footage is 60P and you would like to convert it to 30P to use in iMovie, try either ClipWrap or Voltaic HD and convert your AVCHD to Apple Intermediate Codec at 30P. This will then import into iMovie through FILE/IMPORT MOVIE.
If you are adventurous and would consider hacking iMovie, here is a blog post you can try at your own risk. I have not done this myself.

  • Download movies from panasonic FZ200

When I connect my Panasonic FZ200 camera to my computer, it downloads my pictures but not my movies. None of my previous cameras had this issue.
Can anyone tell me why? and how to get around it?  Incidentally, my husbands computer does not have the same problem and we can't figure out why.
    Thanks

AVCHD is a format intended for those who will be doing a lot of editing as in iMovie.  If you don't plan on serious editing shoot the standard format video with that camera. It could save a lot of extra effort.

  • How do I copy my own movies from a DVD to my imac so I can edit? them.

I have made  a number of VCR to DVD coversions and also DV camcorder imprints on DVD+R discs. I now would like to load these onto my iMac for further editing before i either reburn to another DVD the finished product to send to my children. These are all childhood movies of events. So far I have tried to use
iMovie to no success. and also no success just trying to add. files. I also tried to do it on my PC laptop. I created the original discs on a Toshiba DVR and they have been finalized.  They play on the DVD in my mac but I cannot get them to download. How can I correct that? Is there a special software I need to buy or am I just ignorant?
Also I am unable to upload via firewire from my Sony DV camcorder to iMovie as well. It doesnt recognize it. Any suggestions how I can address this problem? Thanks for your help.
    Toulouse

You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:
    http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
which is free, but you must also have the  Apple mpeg2 plugin :
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/mpeg2/
(unless you are running Lion in which case see below))
    which is a mere $20.
Another possibility is to use DVDxDV:
    http://www.dvdxdv.com/NewFolderLookSite/Products/DVDxDV.overview.htm
    which costs $25.
For the benefit of others who may read this thread:
Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.
    If you are running Lion:
    From the MPEG Streamclip homepage
The installer of the MPEG-2 Playback Component may refuse to install the component in Lion. Apple states the component is unnecessary in Lion, however MPEG Streamclip still needs it.
To install the component in Lion, please download MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b7 beta above; inside the disk image you will find the Utility MPEG2 Component Lion: use it to install the MPEG-2 Playback Component in Lion. The original installer's disk image (QuickTimeMPEG2.dmg) is required.
The current versions of MPEG Streamclip cannot take advantage of the built-in MPEG-2 functionality of Lion. For MPEG-2 files you still need to install the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component, which is not preinstalled in Lion. You don't have to install QuickTime 7.

  • How do I transfer a bought or rented movie from my IPhone to me IMac?

I just bought one movie and rented 2 on my IPhone 4. I'm just wondering how I add them to my IMac? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The only place you can read paid-for ebooks obtained from the iBookstore is via the iBooks app on an iOS device.  You cannot read them on a desktop/laptop, either Mac or PC.
To read ebooks on your full computer you will need to purchase them from a store which offers a reader app for that machine, like Kindle.

Sorry to hear of your woes too. So, do you even get to the point where an error message box appears that  states ... isn't eligible for requested rebuild...", or some other wording,  (with a "more info" tab that takes you to an apple.com  help screen)

  • 1080 50P PAL preset for MOV files recorded with the Panasonic GH3

Dear Adobe team and PE11 users,
With my Panasonic GH3 I'm recording 1080 50P MOV files. I bought this camera because the mov compression is much more easier to edit then AVCHD. There is already a solution for the (non english) premiere elements 11 software with a preset for 50P AVCHD files but I can't find any discussion about MOV files. Does anyone have the same problem and a solution (with a MOV 50p PAL preset). Untill now PE11 recognise the 50p files as HDV 1080 25i files in the project settings...
    best regards,

  • Can I watch a rented movie from Itunes (iMac) on my Apple TV 3 without airplay and home sharing?

I recently download a rented movie from itunes store in my iMac. My question is, if I can watch my rented movie in my apple tv without Airplay or Home sharing? The reason is because I don't want to turn on my iMac every time that I want to watch a movie.
    Thanks!

If you rented the movie from Apple TV, then you can't watch it on the iPad.  The screenshot below is from Here
