Okay, so you're looking for actual amounts paid - which means run results or balances.
You won't find any such view for payroll because the question is a bit like asking for a "List of names." Names of what? People, countries, restaurants? List where? Local, globally, other criteria?
Payroll just isn't that simple and you'll find that there are a whole bunch of functional questions you'll need to answer before you can get the right results:
1. What types of payroll actions should be included (regular, supplementary, retro etc)
2. What types of elements and input values are needed
3. Do you only want elements and values that feed certain balances (such as those that might feed gross taxable pay)
4. Blah blah

It touches many of the tables you might be interested in but any payroll expert will be able to point out it's numerous flaws (eg, it doesn't exclude certain payroll action types, or exclude errored actions). Don't expect this SQL to be fast (if it finishes at all!) - it hits some of the biggest tables across EBS. You'll want to filter on Employee Number or something like that to play around.

I have found packages to create Collection Plans (QA_PLANS_PUB) and Specifications (QA_SPECS_PUB). Both allow you to add elements to the Plan or Spec.
However, both assume that the Collection Element already exists so that it can be added to the Plan or Spec. And I can't find an API or package to create the Collection Elements. Does such a package exist?

Oracle Sales and Sales Online Modules (Differences)

ASF is JTA/JTT based and so follows the logic and process flavours of Telesales - imagine a HTML version of Telesales and you get the picture. ASN is OA Framework and does not follow the logic so strongly.
The main point is that ASF is 10 years old and mature - you have a lot of functionality in standard but very little flexibility (you can't even hide a field). ASN is completely the opposite, you have very little functionality in standard but infinite flexibility because it is OAF based. However, there is less functionality in ASN than there was in ASF and so you will find that you WILL have to develop stuff in ASN that exists as standard in ASF.
We started here with ASF but then there was talk of an R12 upgrade and so we switched to ASN - thjs was painful. However, so little funtionality exists in ASN compared to ASF that we have gone back to ASF, even though it is not shipped with R12. This is an indication of how little there is in ASN compared to ASF.
The biggest differences for us is the lack of personalized searches for sales reps and managers, the other is the crazy reduction in functionality for sales credit at Oppty line level. ASF leaves ASN standing for stuff like this. The personalized searches are returned as tables thus this functionality effectively allow users great power to interrogate AND report their opportunities and leads (they can even export to excel as standard). This level of reporting does not exist in ASN and it is a massive differentiator.
If you go ASN then DO NOT show your client ASF first. They won't believe you when you tell them that ASN is supposed to be the latest version.

Customizing Oracle Sales Reports

I am trying to customize a report in the Oracle Sales module. For instance, there is a Customer Organization Summary page that lists customers. Our employees would like a column added to that page that has a link to the Organization Notes page. How can this be done? Can the JSPs or java classes be editted? Is there a way to do this from the database side?
When you customize a report using what provided, it lets you select some columns. One is FlexFields...but this includes a bunch of new columns. Is there a way to add a custom column?!
Another customization is adding a new section to a summary page. Is there a way to add new sections to an existing report?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated. If there are any Oracle consultants who work these forums, please give me some insight.

Have you looked at the ASO_PQUOTE_TEMPLATE lookup (Order Capture)?. This provides the capability to register your own template reports (.rdf). Make sure the Lookup code & Reports .rdf file name are same.
If you need more specific customizations, Unfortunately there is no easy way to do it in 11.5.9
I have customized some reports for Quoting, by adding custom actions to the JSP using JSP includes. As these JSPs are hardcoded, modifying is the only way to customize.
To minimize the level of Upgrade maintenance, write the custom code in separate file and include it in main (Oracle's) jsp something like this

Is Asset Tracking module mandatory for Oracle Install Base implementation?

In the Oracle Install Base implementation guide, it is mentioned that Asset Tracking (previously Enterprise Install Base) Module is mandatory. Our situation does not warrant to implement asset tracking. Do we need to get separate license for Asset tracking if we need to implement Install base? Any insight on this would be highly helpful. Raise a service request with Oracle Support (Metalink) for your system slow issue. May be, they will recommend you the workarounds for the issues which are not yet available for 11g in the form of Patches.

According to http://www.linux1394.org/download.php you should not need any additional kernel module support. You may need to install the libraw1394 RPM packages, but you can get those from your distribution media or from ULN, if your are subscribed.

Oracle Database or for that matter any Oracle technology products are licensed using 2 metrics
1) Named user plus
2) Processor(CPU)
Named user plus can be used when the number of users accesing the database can be easily identified or counted.
Processor based licensing is done when there are unlimited number of user accessing the database /application
eg: Internet based application where a count on the number of users is not possible.
If one has valid license's and is under proper support from Oracle one NEED NOT pay extra for the new versions that are released by Oracle.
Hence you should ensure that the licenses are renewed year on year so that you are eligilble for updates/ upgrade as an when released by Oracle.

Dissapointed with OAF. Trying to extend the OpptySearchVO (Sales module)

Hi all, specially Oracle guys,
I'm trying to extend oracle.apps.asn.opportunity.server.OpptySearchVO to add 2 new columns/attributes to show them in the DashBoard (Sales Module 11.5.10.2)
I've tried many things (even change the .xml by hand), because jdeveloper does not build the .xml files correctly (change names, change the order of the attributes, etc).
Of course, one the things I've done is following the steps of the Dev. Guide to extend vos.
Please, Oracle guys, would you try this challenge, I've extended other vos. without problem but I think this vo. has something that I can't see.
Please, if it is not possible to extend this specific vo. let me know.

Using notepad I've "corrected" the .xml file and after doing the substitution in the .jpx file, and bouncing Apache I get an sql error related to a query not related to the vo.

I also tried other approach. This consists in adding the attributes from the EO, when creating the vo. This does not get error but does not show the attributes when I include them using personalization.
