Transact. RFC, automatically red request turns to green

Hi,
there is a failed info package which was stuck for the past 5 hours after just clicking on the Transact.RFC push button that appears under the status tab in the monitor,
it takes me to R/3 side,
i will enter username and password,
it then enters to SM58,
there will this sentence "Nothing was selected",
after that i come back to the monitor screen,
then click on the red color request in the monitor screen,
it then automatically turns from red to green.
actually this runs in process chain in the background. its happening daily what can be the remedy for this? do we need to run any program in the background with some basis knowledge?

Web Service - Request never turns to GREEN

Friends,
I have created Web Service Source System followed by Data Source and did the required setting in Web Service Admn screen (WSADMIN) and could able to generate/publish WSDL and able to see that PSA getting the records with trigger of web service.
My concern is, after creating the Web Service Data Source, I did create the "Scheduler: InfoPackage for Real-Time Data Acquisition (Push)" and set the "Automatic Closure of the Request" (in Processing Tab) to "1 Hour". I am able to see that system is creating new Request for all the transaction triggered in that particular Hour but it is NOT setting the previous Requests to GREEN (So that the PSA data couble us triggered to ODS)..
That means, all the Requests (which are getting generated every hour) are in Yellow status.. how to turn them Green (Automatic)..? Is that anything I am missing here..
Please let me know if you have any thoughts..

Heres the correct answer-
Rationale -
When you transfer data using a Web service or real-time data acquisition (using a SAPI and a Web service), the InfoPackage requests (also called PSA requests) remain open across several load processes.
The requests are closed when the threshold values set in the InfoPackage are reached. The system opens new requests and data transfer is continued using the new requests. With process type Close Real-Time InfoPackage Request, you can close an open PSA request before the threshold value is reached.
This means that you can use a Web service to send data to the PSA in BI and then use the standard scheduling process to update it further.
You can close requests in this way to perform regular analyses at set times on an InfoProvider that is down stream of a DataStore object that you are using for real-time data acquisition.
Procedure -
1. In the process chain, choose process type Close Real-Time InfoPackage Request.
2. On the next screen, enter a technical name for the process variant and choose Create.
3.On the next screen, enter a description for the process variant and choose Continue.
The maintenance screen for the process variant appears.
4.In the table, select the InfoPackage for which you want to close a request.
5.Choose Save and go back.
PS -
Do not schedule this process to take place more frequently than once an hour. Otherwise performance is affected. If you schedule the process to take place more frequently, it is possible that the system will generate so many requests that performance is affected.
Result
When the process chain is run, the system closes the PSA request, as well as the DTP and change log request, if they exist.

Red Footage turning green on Log and Transfer

I'm trying to log and transfer some footage shot on a Red camera. I've got the plug in. When I capture, it works for a little while, then all the footage turns solid green! I can see green in the Log and Transfer window too. I've tried this on two computers and I am getting the same thing happening. I've got all the raw footage saved on an internal hard drive. Any ideas?

I don't know why your footage is green.
Is your footage on an internal drive which is different than your OS drive?
Why are you not using RedCineX Pro for transcoding? It's a much better workflow for Red to FCP7.

Transact RFC error

Hi Gurus,
I am getting one issue while loading the data thru infopackage.
While loading the data in 3.5 flow for some souce system it is taking long time
and givig me transact RFC error. I have checked the source system connectivity and it is fine.Although the status is yellow during the load but at the end of the load it turns to red and it gives me below mentioned error:
Missing data packages for No selection information arrived from the source s
Diagnosis
Data packets are missing from No selection information arrived from the source s. BI processing does not return any errors. The data transport from the source system to BI was probably incorrect.
Procedure
Check the tRFC overview in the source system.
You access this log using the wizard or following the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> Source System".
Error handling:
If the tRFC is incorrect, resolve the errors listed there.
Check that the source system is connected properly to BI. In particular, check the remote user authorizations in BI.
Kindly let me know your suggestion in this issue.

This error would normally occur, if at the time of processing, the data packets get stuck
To check for stuck trfc follow the path
Environment -> Transact. RFC -> Source System
there, check if trfc recorded, then it means, it is stuck, slecect that particular record and press F6 to execute the LUW.
If this is not the case, check the job overview in the source system.
IF you find ARFCSTATE = loading/sysfail, it means the trfc is stuck ..
you can check the datapacket number from there, and try mannual update for those partiular data packets.
Or else, sometimes, the packet itself doesnt arrive in BW, because of connection problem during the processing of few packets, ands later when you check, it seems fine.
In such cases simply repeat the load

Transactional RFC
1 This type of RFC was renamed from asynchronous to transactional RFC, because asynchronous RFC has another meaning in R/3 Systems.
2 The called function module is executed exactly once in the RFC server system. Each function call is seen as a transaction in the target system.
3 Transactional RFCs use the suffix IN BACKGROUND TASK. The remote system need not be available at the time when the RFC client program is executing a tRFC.
4 The tRFC component stores the called RFC function together with the corresponding data in the R/3 database, including a unique transaction identifier (TID).
5 If a call is sent, and the receiving system is down, the call remains in the local queue until a later time.
6 The calling dialog program can proceed without waiting to see whether or not the remote call was successful. If the receiving system does not become active within a certain amount of time, the call is scheduled to run in batch.
7 The system logs the remote call request in the database tables ARFCSSTATE and ARFCSDATA with all of its parameter values. You can display the log file using transaction SM58.
8 When the calling program reaches a COMMIT WORK, the remote call is forwarded to the requested system for execution.
9 Transactional RFC requests are transferred, with parameter data in byte-stream form, using TCP/IP or X400.
10 LUW's are identified by transaction ID's that are unique world-wide. The transaction ID can be determined from an ABAP program by calling function module ID_OF_BACKGROUNDTASK. (You must call this function after the first asynchronous CALL, and before the related COMMIT WORK.)
11 The system function module ARFC_DEST_SHIP transports the data to the target system and the function module ARFC_EXECUTE executes the stored function calls. If an error or an exception occurs during one of the calls, all the database operations started by the preceding calls are rolled back and an appropriate error message is written to the file ARFCSSTATE.
12 Once you have identified the ID of the LUW, you can use the function module STATUS_OF_BACKGROUNDTASK to determine the status of the transactional RFC.
13 Call transaction SM58 (Tools _ Administration _ Monitoring _ Transactional RFC). This tool lists only those transactonal RFCs that could not be carried out successfully or that had to be planned as batch jobs. The list includes the LUW ID and an error message. The memory that is low is the processor memory, not the overall storage space. Next time, before you go to that site, double tap the home button to see the task bar. You will see the list of apps siting in the recently used list. Most of them are not doing anything, but some of them are using up memory. Touch and hold any one of them until they jiggle, then close them all off by touching the minus sign.
Do that every so often to help the pad use it's memory wisely.
Some apps, and browser pages use a lot of memory, and do not give it back easily, causing what sis happening to you.
You can also get a similar result by rebooting. Press and hold the home and sleep buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider.

Factory Calendar (Automatic Transport Request)

I would like to make changes to the factory calendar automatically request a transport.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
In transaction SCC4 Automatic recording of changes is set.
In IMG Activity, object SCAL is set to 2 Automatic transport
When changes to factory calendars are made, it only warns that customizing changes are not automatically recorded.

Factory calendar can be changed in Development. This wont create any transport request number. If u need the same changes in other systems, this needs to be manually changed in those systems. There will not be any transport rquest generated as such.

Song transfer to menu won't take, shows a red #1 by the green plus

I have tried all the methods to make a music transfer to main menu, but nothing will play. I don't get a wavy line in the sound well, and clicking doesn't work. What does the red #1 with the green plus mean when I select a song to add to menu? Music will play on my sub menus.

Try switching themes and switch back to the one you're using. Drag the default audio out of the bin and add the new audio track from the Media Browser again. Be sure to have this button turned on:

Transaction F110 - Automatic Payment

Hi !
In Transaction F110 - Automatic Payment when i execute a proposal for payment of 'XXX' vendor, then in the execute of the next proposal vendor XXX won't participate despite i enter vendor XXX in the range of vendor select option field. Is in SAP away ( USER-EXIT, BADY, customization ) to prevent it ? meaning to cause SAP to participate a vendor also in next proposal ?
Please answer a detailed answer of how to do this.

Couldn't get your question, u are saying that u ahve assinged the vendor in a Payment run ,
Do u mean that u run a Payment run for a particule vendor and after finishing it
you again run the Payment proposal for the same vendor.
If you wish that the vendor you have entenred shouod eb stoed and used for the next payment run, i think thats not possible

okay so i tried to rent a movie but the blue rent button just turned light green for a few seconds and then went back to blue without renting it. it allows music videos to be bought but not movies. the same happens when i click buy .please help! thanks

Monitoring of remote system's Transactional RFC and Queued RFC

In our production system, in rz20- CCMS monitor templates- Communication-Transactional RFC and Queued RFc- outbound queues- Queues otherwise not monitored we can see blocked queues for each client.
System is connected to solution manager and we wish the central auto reaction is implemented in solution manager
However i am unable to find Transactional RFC and Queued RFC for the remote system, they exist only for solution manager itself
Tell me how can i do the central monitoring

First you need to check with your Landscape in solman in order to monitor any kind of activities to do so pls follow these steps.
Go to SMSY in solman under Landscape components>Product systemsselect you satellite system example SAP ECC.
On the main screen you will find client for which you have generated RFC connection. Please check though connection are working fine, Go to edit mode and try to click on generate button there will be a pop-up, which gives a clear picture of RFC connection which already exists, and you can also re-generate this RFC connection by clean it up when you re-generate pls select under Actions after generation assign RFC dest for system monitoring.
But make sure there is no project impact on this RFC, like they are not using any logical components and already have some projects running on this RFC connection.
I would advise you to first you the option of assign and check RFC button which is next to generate icon.

PC failed upon red request in pc

Hi all , i have doubt regarding the red request in dso and its effects. we have a scenario , where there is red request in dso Zks_d01 on 08-06-2011 , on 09-06-2011 , pc was triggered, pc failed at the process activation of dso ZKS_d01 (same object). my point is if the dso already have red request , so it must fail during DTP right, cant understand why the PC failed at activation of DSO. please tell , in the above scenario , will process fail at DTP or activation of DSO. thanks in advance and also
If dso has red request and when we try to run dtp , will dtp fails or dtp can be successful and while activating the request it throws error?

Hi Raghu,
If it is 3.5 and you are using delta IP to load the DSO then loading will fail with error"Previous delta is not correct" need to repeat delta.
But as you are using 7.0 and DTP to load DSO,If you have any issue in DSO design then it will fail otherwise it will run fine.
If you have single red request in DSO, definitely activation step will fail.
To find from where this request is loaded,right click on target and manage>request tab>click on monitor of bad request>you will enter into the details of DTP>click where used list of process chains-->You will get in which process chains this DTP is used.
Try to solve the issue in the bad request,or it is not required delete the request manually from DSO.
Then repeat the activation step in PC,it will get successful.
