Transaction CJI3 in portal Problem

Dear Friends,
We are working with CJI3 Transaction in Portal that is linked to a BW Report , the flow is BW report should flow to CJI3 by taking the Projects as Input and gives the Output along with Summarization of Cost Centers, The Problem now is we are unable to find the drill down possibility for the report in the Portal or WEB . It gives us the first view of data, but as in Transaction CJI3 , we can find the Drill down details across cost elements along with Document Numbers ..Kindly let me know how do we achieve the Drill Down of the Report ( CJI3 Transaciton ) any notes that needs to be applied to find the ICON Symbol( that denotes that the data is summarized ) ...
Thanks,
Krishna

Hi Krishna,
Looks like this transaction is not supported by ITS or WebGUI. You may look at the details of this transaction where you can find a checkbox which says whether it's supported by ITS or not.
There is nothing we can do if it's not supported.

Sunil

  • Transactional iView - Pop Up Problem

    Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem in one of the transactional iView in Portal. The iView runs a workflow. When i click on one of the line items (from the list of lineitems), and execute the workflow, it shows me the details of that line item and a new window pops up which contains a pdf.
The problem is when i close the workflow or go back to the list of line items, this popup window should get closed automatically, which is not happening.
If i execute this from R/3, it works fine.
Any ideas, what can be a solution to this..

    Dear Abhishek,
mind you that although ITS might show you any SAP transaction - it is not 100% guaranteed that it will show you the exact same features you have on the SAP Logon.
Is this a standard SAP transaction or a Custom one ?
What transaction (if standard) are you referring to ?
Please check this ITS FAQ nevertheless

  • Web Enabling SAP R/3 Transactions in the Portal

    Hi,
Our requirement is to web enable SAP R/3 (>4.6) transactions in the portal (EP 6.0). We don't want to check for user authorization in the portal as all these things are done in the R/3 system. We just want to have an iView in the portal which will show all the transactions user is authorized for (in the R/3 system). I think it will be something similar to when the user logs into the R/3 system using SAP GUI.
Just to make it more clear, I am not looking for web enabling of a single R/3 transaction. I am looking for the web enabling of R/3 system as a whole in the portal.
Can anyone please tell the steps to do the same?
Please let me know for any clarifications.
    Regards,
    Chandra

    Hi ,
Well first of all, nthis kind of interface is not suggested. But still if you need this kind of interface.
then you need to have a seperate installation of ITS server. You need to define a SAP transaction based Iview.
In property you can call any normal transaction, which gererally every user will have access to.
Now attach this iview to any existing iview or create a new iview in Portal Content.
Add the concerned page to a role/create a workset and add this page to it. and workset to concerned user role.
this will take care of your requirement.
if you need exact steps please let me knoe.

  • ECC Transactions in Enterprise Portal

We created a transaction iView that calls a specified transaction with the WebGUI, so users can access ECC transactions from our Enterprise Portal, just as they would if opening the desktop GUI.  The start transaction is the SAP Easy Access menu, the sign-on is done with a logon ticket, and the iView has been added to a role so it appears as a tab in the Portal to users.  We have run across an issue with the SAP Business Workplace in the Portal environment.  When a user goes to the workplace and clicks on any items, such as unread documents, work items, etc. in the overview tree nothing appears in the worklist or the work item preview screen areas.  When accessed through the GUI, the transaction functions correctly and data appears in both the worklist and work item preview.  The issue is only when the Business Workplace is access through our Enterprise Portal.  Has anyone ever encountered this issue before?  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Erin,
I would recommend to look at the following SAP Note first:
Note 314568 - SAP GUI for HTML functionality / Limitations / Sp. Behaviour
We also had some issues with displaying ECC transactions on the portal, but the limitation described in this note helped us to justify the requirements.
    hope this helps.

I have the same problem and I contacted iTunes support but there is no direct contact for iTunes support.  Technical support emailed the iTunes dept and they didn't know what the problem is because there were no outstanding charges or flags on my acct so they said to call my card holder. I called my card holder who said there was no charges from iTunes and no problems with Apple charges so they didn't know what was wrong. I reset my device and the problem is still happening. I'm going to make an appointment at the genius bar to see if they can help me.

  • Printing SAP Reports (Transactional iviews) from Portal

I am having problem in printing the SAP Transactional I views (SAP Reports Output) from the Portal page. On selecting the Print Option under Menu from the SAP transactional iview page, it shows the list of the printers in the backend system. On selecting the printer configured in backend abap system and issuing a print command, it only creates a spool request in the backend system and nothing is sent to the printer itself.
I have also tried to use "PDF1" device type by creating a new output device and it does bring the contents of the report on a web embedded PDF page, hoever the characters are too small and to read and the ALV Report is no longer aligned. The line separating the rows and columns are not aligned.
Can anyone help in suggesting the best way to print contents of SAP Reports (created as Transactional i views) from the SAP Portal.
    Thanks!

    Hi Margie,
It is not necessary for a developer to have access to that area, and certainly not in a production system.
Ideally, there should be developer, test, QA and production systems, and the developer can have access to the developer system. The UI you are talking about gives access to all WD applications deployed to the AS Java, and the ability to run them as well as change some settings. But this is the domain of the administrator.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error when Closing BW transaction iView from Portal

    Hi guys,
I have several Transaction iViews pointing to different BW / ECC systems that are working fine when they are executed.
Problem is when the user clicks on any other folder within portal after running any of these iViews, the following error is displayed:
    "Required resource not available".
Then Portal gets frozen and only solution is to close the browser tab and reload portal. Looks like whenever the iView is closed, portal tries to log on again as it is calling the SAP GUI.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks in advance !!

    Hi,
It looks like a permission issue. You should check the permissions of the folder containing the system in the portal. (System Administration > System Configuration then Open Permissions on the system object). Every user who is supposed to have access to the iView should be there as End User (for instance : Everyone (group), Administrator = none, End User = checked).

  • CATS Transaction via the Portal - Nervous Finger - OSS 619683

Hi - we are on Portals 6.0 (moving to Portals 7.0). We have a problem whereby users with 'Nervous Finger' symptom click multiple times on the CATS transaction and therefore create lock entries in table SM12. These lock entries then have to be manually unlocked or wait until timeout occurs before disappearing. We have read OSS 619683 which suggests there is no real solution for this problem. If anyone can suggest a solution which they have used at their organisation to avoid this issue it would be appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Paul Roney

    Hi Paul,
So I assume you are using ITS. If that;s the case, add an entry in the service file of the ITS (global.srvc)
    ~multisessionXXX 0
I am not sure about the spelling though. Is starts with multisession. By default it will be 1. Change it to 0.

  • Creating a Z transaction in SRM portal !!!

    Hello SRM Gurus,
I am new to SRM and have to create a new custom 'Z' transaction and have a complex requirement to build.
The following steps I think needs to be followed:
    1) Creating the custom transaction in SRM SAP GUI system (Module Pool Programming).
    2) Creating internet service for this above transaction from SE80. Saving and Publishing this internet service on web.
I am not sure about the second step whether it will be ITS / BSP / or Webdynpro screens.
Please your inputs will be very helpful.
    BR,
    Chirag Mehta.

    Hi,
You can create the module pool application in the normal way as we do in R/3.
Now if you need to quickly provide this transaction as a web link in the SRM screen, you can add it in the MENU of any of the std roles. So all the users who have that role attched to their user ID's will  be able  access/execute that transaction from SRM web.
The only problem here is the look and feel .It will be same as the WINGUI screen when you login to SRM system.Only it will be shown in the SRM protal.
    See the foll thread for details;
    Custom Transaction in SRM
If you need a more finished look(more concerned abt the UI rather then application use),you can create a BSP /Web dynrpo application instead of module pool and publish the same on SRM Web portal.
    You have lots of threads on  SDN custom applications using these recent technologies .Pls see the below links for more pointers;
    web dynpro -->WebDynpro in SRM
BSP-->Re: Changing standard SRM(contains links to BSP tutorials).
I have only worked previously  on the module screen transactions and published them on the web which easy and less time consuming.

  • Portal Problem:  Workaround for NOT alphabetizing paramters in portal form?

    Hello all,
In Portal, I am defining 6i reports. Portal has forms that pass these parameters to 6i reports but they keep showing up in alphabetical order. So, the rep_end_date is appearing before the rep_start_date.
    These are the steps:
    1. Go to Navigator
    2. Click on Administer
    3. Click on Display Portlet Repository
    4. Under Seeded Providers, Click Oracle Reports Security
    5. Click on Reports Definition File Access
    6. Click Create Reports Definition File Access
    7. Go through the steps until you get to OPTIONAL PARAMETERS
    Enter REP_START_DATE
    Enter REP_END_DATE
    8. When you are finished select done
    9. Click on Customize
    10. In the form you will see that the REP_END_DATE appears before the
    REP_START_DATE
It is not logical for the users to enter the end date parameter first and then the start date second.
I tried to work around it by changing rep_start_date to arep_start_date. This
fixes the appearance on the form. Unfortunately this change causes the report
not to work. The parameters used in the report 6i must match the parameters in
    portal exactly.
I have been in contact with ORACLE with a TAR. They replied that I should ask you for any code that you might have or ideas.
I have been brainstorming some ideas:
    1. Going into the report and renaming rep_start_date to something like
raep_start_date. The advantage would be that it would fix the problem. The
disadvantage is that we would have to go into every report and check for
wherever that bind variable is named and change it. It would be tedious.
    2. Another option would be to create a form using form builder for each
report. This also would be tedious and would require the forms server to be
configured. We aren't sure whether a report being called from a form would
process faster than just a report being called from portal or not. We are not
as experienced in using form builder, however we have successfully created one.
The advantage would be that it would solve the problem. The disadvantages is
that it might be more time consuming.
    3. I suppose yet another option would be to create a html page as a portlet
and then pass the parameters to the report that way. This would be where
coding would come into play. I have been researching this option but I think
that we would have to hard code the specific paramters used for each of the
100s of reports. There might be a LOV issue with this one.
    4. Final option is to hope that one of the portal developers would have code
that would easily fix this problem on OTN.
I look forward to any information that you could provide.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Lindsay

An alternative, maybe simpler, is to join together the exported segments using Quicktime Player.  Importing into iMovie again might result in degradation of video quality.

at the same time.. any help is appreciated.Hi. this is an EJB/transactional integrity issue. If you get non-XA connections,
then the transaction coordinator will collude with the JTS driver to ensure that
any given transaction can only really use one JDBC connection, so we can guarantee
the commit or rollback will be atomic. Without 2PC, we would otherwise have to commit
on both connections. If the first succeeded, and the second commit failed, we
    could not recover.
If you really need to talk to multiple DBMSes, or even just one DBMS but as
different users, then there is a way, with some risks you will have to accept.
You can connect to any DBMS at any time if you use a non-TX datasource.
This will give you a 'raw' pooled connection, whith the transaction coordinator
knows nothing about. You can use this as you wish, but be very sure to close this
connection in a finally block, else it will never get back into the pool. ALso note
that any work you do on this connection is in your hands. If the EJB tx rolls back
we won't do anything with this connection, so if there's any update you did, it's
totally up to you to undo them, or respond in whatever way you need to in error
    conditions.

    Issue is resolved.
For the RFC destination , log on security tab. Ensure current user is ticked and no hard coded user id being passed here.
Also ensure the personalization data is saved properly by navigating to personalization iview.
