Transaction CM21

Hi,
I am looking for a user exit o BADI in the transaction CM21. Planning table.
The problem I would like to resolve is the following:
After finishing the scheduled process in this transaction I would like to change the storage location at component level in the order according to the production version selected. I need to do this because the good issue of the component need to be done from different storage location, I am identifying the storage location using different production version ( Alternative BOM).

CM21 is used to do the capacity levelling in the work center. But what way the storage location and the work center will link in your process.

Background processing of CM21

Hello all
I am trying to run the transaction CM21 in background processing through LSMW transaction, but it shows me the following error per each item:
Run-time error "RAISE_EXCEPTION" occurred
> Short dump "101201 202224 MEXQAS01 0_ECQ_01 " generated
Does anyone know about the error? Or the best option to run the transaction CM21 in background processing massively (LSMW).

[HELP] - CM21 Rescheduling work center.

Hello SAP Gurus,
I have a problem with transaction CM21 when I try to change an operation from work center to another. The scenario is:
     - WC01 (Work center)
        - CC01 (Cost center)
           - Activity A
           - Activity B
     - WC02
        - CC02
           - Activity C
           - Activity D
In my production order I have WC01 in the operation 0010, I release order and save. Then I go to CM21 and I schedule the operation 0010 to WC01 and save, until now everything is good.
I change my mind and I go to CM21 and I change from WC01 to WC02 and I save.
When I make the confirmation in CO11N for operation 0010 the system shows a message of wrong cost calculations because I have changed the original work center in the CM21, and the Cost Center and the Activities Types are not updated...
Little help please...

Dear,
Check whether the Standard Values used in WC 1 & WC 2 are alike, if there is any difference in the standard value unit of measure of WC1 & WC2 or any differences in the activity types UOM then it may cause some inconsistencies in the cost calculation leading to error.

Order Dispatched CM21

Hi,
I am using the transaction CM21 to dispatch the order ( to create the schedule) however after dispatch the order instead to keep in the upper section the order disappeared. Does any one has an idea how I can correct this?

Capacity planning -cm21 screen

In Cm21 screen i would like to add some feild and remove some feilds for the orders that are displayed in the order pool

Hi,
There will be a profile set for this settings, we can have our own settings.
Transaction: OPD0
you can find the over all profile from there you can access the other options required to have our own parameters. Using the Transactions CY38 & CY39 we can have our own display and sort fields in the left side (Tabular form) of the CM25 screen.
Go to transaction CY38 and select the following layout key
SAPSFCAS03 - View order - production order
SAPSFCAS04 - View order - planned order
Do select the fields to be included and deselect the fields to be excluded and save.
You can see the see the selected fields displayed in transaction CM21

CM21 Leveling capacity

Dear gurus,
we need work in the transaction CM01 leveling capacity but the system upgrade the productioin order only after the save and the exit the transaction , are there for see the result leveling whitout exit the transaction CM21 ?
I would like see the result of the leveling ( in the transaction CM01) whitout exit to the transaction CM21.
I would like work in the CM21 and whit the refresh see the result in the transaction CM01, is possible?

hi,
You can use following strategy
SAPSFCT001 Finite sched./no gaps
SAPSFCT002 Finite scheduling backwards/no gaps
SAPSFCT003 Finite sched. forwards/use floats
Also go to Capacity of work center and select Overload % of capacity.

User Parameters used by MD04

Good day SAP experts, i hope someone can help me, i need to know witch parameter ID MD04 uses in Go to ->Capacity Situation->Planning Table, i need to know because i need to put a custom overall profile to the cooresponding parameter ID, for example, i can use the user parameter CYA to place my custom overall profile in transaction CM21, in the same way i need to know witch parameter i can use for transaction MD04 , thank you in advance.

Goto environment in menu path, navigation profile select production scheduler profile and save it.

Work Center Hierarchy and Capacity

Hello SAP friends,
Can someone please help me with the following scenario?
I have 3 Work Centers
MAQ00 - (Capacity 10:00 x 2)
MAQ01 - 8:00 -- 18:00 (Capacity 10:00)
MAQ02 - 8:00 -- 18:00 (Capacity 10:00)
I have a hierarchy
HICY01
MAQ00 - Root of hierarchy
|_ MAQ01
|_ MAQ02
Then, I have a routing
10 - PP01 - MAQ00 - 1H
20 - PP01 - MAQ00 - 2H
If I go to CM01 for Work Center MAQ00 I can see the capacity and requirement, where:
Capacity: 10:00 x 2
Requirement: 3:00
But if I go to transaction CM21 for Work Center MAQ00 the capacity and requirement is not correct. Can someone please help me with this?

Hi,
CM01 will give the cumulative requirement as 3 hrs but CM21(Gradhical View) shows the individual spread of oprn. 10 and 20 as 1H and 2 H resp.

Capture Single-Click for BDC

Hello Gurus,
I am doing a BDC for transaction CM21. Everything seems to be fine but I ran into a problem. In order to dispatch planned orders, you have to do a single-click on the planned orders and click on the dispatch button.
The big issue i have now is I don't know anyway to capture a single click on BDC.
I know somebody could have ran into this problem before.
Please help.

Don't forget that BDC doesn't work with enjoy transaction (in fact with controls, search OSS there are some notes on this subject) , if BDC_CURSOR to put the cursor on the field is not possible or doesn't work, you may not be able to fulfil your requirement and will have to look for a BAPI to do the job. (Sometimes adding many "Enter" to the BDC enable the transaction to work but not always)

Order Split

Hi,
I would like to know if thera any way to do an split order after the order had been schedule. I mean after the status of the operation is mark as a PLAN. This status turn on after the order had been allocated using the transaction CM21.

Isaias,
You can use the same CM21 transaction and use "Deallocate" Function, once this is done you can split the operation and then dispatch it again.

Capacitity leveling - Dispatching production order considering PM block

Dear friends,
I am trying to dispatch a production order of large Qty by using transaction CM21.
The order will take 15 days to complete.
Two days are blocked by plant maintenance order on that work center in future. They are shown as black in CM21.
When I try to dispatch, system is automatically dispatching the order in such a way that its end date is before PM block date or start date is after PM block date.
e.g. Order will run from 10th August to 25th august.
PM has blocked dates 20 & 21st August.
Hence the expected result is start the order on 10th and will end on 27th.
But when I dispatch the order on 10th, system automatically takes it to 22nd (First day after PM block).
Can we not plan orders with PM block period in between?

You need to enable splits in the operation (routing definition).

Operation splitting

Hi,
I have created individual capacities say for example w1 and w2 in work centre wrc1.in routing I have mentioned required splitting and given 2 as splits.in routing work centre wrc1 is assigned to operation.
I want to dispatch operation quantity 10 into these two work centres w1 and w2 , 5 quantites each so that both the operations can start at thje same time and finish quickly.
how to do this capacity levelling?In CM25 i can see work centre wrc1 but not its individual capacities i.e w1 and w2?

Dear,
Capacity leveling transaction "CM21" you would be able to dispatch individual operation quantities to the individual machines.
For operation split you have to createM/c with 2 Indiviudal capacities and have also defined the Individual Capacities by name in the Capacity header CR02. Also in the capacity header you should have activated "Relevant for Finite scheduling".
In the Scheduling parameters for the order type/Plant you should have activated check box for "Generate Capacity requirements" in transaction OPU3.
You can only "Dispatch" the same in CM27 by assigning in "Cap. reqmt assignment" in production order. The indicator "D" is set only after the split is dispatched.

Capacity levelling can be performed more easily from transaction CM21(graphical) rather than CM22(Tabular).
CM21 displays planning table with 4 separate parts. upper left part gives details of work center, lower left part gives corresponding planned order./production orders(you can restrict in selection screen only production orders/planned orders). lower right part gives Orders pool and load will be shown in red colour. Upper right part gives any changes mode to capaciry requirements.
Please go through Standard SAP documentation related to Capacity levelling for more details.

From this transaction you can see capacity Overlappings on each work centers clearly. By levelling the capacity of production orders from here will change the scheduling of the operations.

Capacity split

Hi PP Experts,
Can anybody help me.
I have work center say XYZ where I perform milling operation. I have 3 milling m/c say 001,002,003. I have operation quantity is 150 piece.I want to specify that 40 pieces are to be processed on machine 001, 60 pieces on machine 002 & 50 pieces on machine 003.
How I can allocate this.Please help out.If possible please tell step by step procedure.
