Transaction Code Comparion in Different Versions

Hi Folks,
I have an requirement to compare transaction codes of different version and download it if there is any change.
For example: lets say there is a transaction code XYZ in sap R/3 4.7 version the same XYZ transaction exists in SAP ECC also.
But there are some changes in the tranction in the SAP ECC version. The changes are like they have added a new screen to it.
I need to how to find out the changes if there is any.
Thanks & Regards

  • Selection Screen from prog exec and transaction code is coming different

    Dear all,
The selection screen is coming diffrent from the execution of the transaction S_ALR_87013558 and execution from the program name.
The program name I found from SYSTEM->STATUS. But when I have checked in TSTC table for the program name for this transaction, it is showing blank in table.
How can I make the selection screen same from both the executions ?
    Please help....
    Thanks & Regards
    Nrusingha Dash.

    Hi Nrusingha,
    Check with T.Code SE93.
The transaction S_ALR_87013558 is calling another transaction START_REPORT.
Just check with SE93 by giving the T.Code START_REPORT as input.
see whether your program and this T.Code supported program is same or not.

  • BODS code migration between different versions

    Hi,
I had a code as .ATL in 12.2.2 version .I want to use this code  in BODS 4.1.
Is this  code is  compatible with 4.1 ?
can anyone please explain clearly how can i achieve this situation?

    Hi,
    With respect ATL
90% compatible and again depends on which transform you are using for example Query and Validation transform 10% information you need to recheck it but not major changes.
You need to consider management console and other dependency etc..

    SFP - ADOBE FORM
Component documentation PDF-Based Print Forms Locate the document in its SAP Library structure
    Purpose
PDF-based print forms are part of the SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe solution and are used for printing in SAP systems. As well as standard output on printers, and the option of archiving documents, you can also use your application to send a PDF to the Structure linkBusiness Communication Services (BCS). Here, you have the option of faxing or e-mailing your documents.
The following gives you an overview of how a PDF-based print form is structured, and also tells you how to create a PDF-based print form in the development environment of the ABAP Workbench. The integrated Adobe LiveCycle Designeru2122 software supports you when you do this. This software must be installed on your front end before you can create a layout. To see a print preview of your form, you first need to install Adobe Reader or a complete version of Adobe Acrobat.
This documentation does not discuss how documents are printed and controlled on printers. Instead, it discusses the whole process up to when a file is sent to output management functions, such as the spool system in SAP systems. Note that, for printing and previewing PDF-based forms, you need to use a PCL, Postscript, or ZPL printer and an appropriate device type (such as POST2, HPLJ4, HP9500, PDF1, AZPL203, or AZPL300). You cannot use a printer with the device type SAPWIN/SWIN. More information is available in the Structure linkSAP Printing Guide (BC-CCM-PRN), under Structure linkPrinting PDF-Based Forms.
    Integration
An activated PDF-based print form corresponds to a callable function module in the SAP system. The complete logic of the form is represented by this function module. When a form is printed, it is called by an application program, which collects the relevant application data. The application program uses the function module interface to send the data. Therefore, the data collection process is split from the logic of the form. This means that you only need to adjust the form when you modify the logic or layout.
There are several ways of creating interactive forms. For more information, see Interactive Forms.
    Features
To develop a PDF-based print form, you use Form Builder, integrated with ABAP Workbench. This tool enables you to create a complete form description, even if you do not have extensive programming skills. The tool supports you in the following tasks:
    ●      Creating layouts
Here, you use the Adobe LiveCycle Designer to design pages or create the layout.
    ●      Specifying the data used in the form
In the form context, you specify which data, tables, texts, and graphics are sent to the form.
    ●      Structure linkMigration of Smart Forms
By migrating Smart Forms, you can reuse them as PDF-based print forms. You can find the Smart Form migration tool in transaction SMARTFORMS.
    Note
Smart Forms are still supported; you can continue to forms created in Smart Forms without making any changes.
    ●      Importing existing PDF files or forms
This tool is integrated into Adobe LiveCycle Designer and enables you to use your own templates for your form.
    ●      Scripting
Adobe LiveCycle Designer uses the script languages JavaScript and FormCalc. FormCalc is a simple Adobe script language for typical form calculations, including mathematical and logical functions, and date and character string functions. For more information about FormCalc, and a FormCalc language reference, see the online help of Adobe LiveCycle Designer.
    Note
To achieve the best possible performance when processing forms, use as little scripting as possible in the form itself. If possible, perform all calculations and data analysis in the application program, before the form is called.
    ●      Printing and archiving the PDF-based print form:
You can use output parameters to specify print and archive settings, and so adapt the output to your requirements. These parameters are not viewed in Form Builder. Instead, you control them with function modules that you integrate in your application program.
    Restrictions
Note that local print versions may differ from print versions produced using spool requests in the SAP system. You can print out parts of PDF forms (such as selected pages) as local print versions only, using Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. Information about further restrictions is available in SAP Note 1009567.

  • Transaction code for creation of CO version

    Hi All,
Can anyone please let me know whats the t-code for creating co versions for a project.
    SAM

    Hi Sampath,
CN72 is to create project version.
you can create  more no of project versions for every project. But CO Version is created one time only as per the business requirement to plan cost/revenue/overheads etc....Based on the available CO Version you can use to plan for all your projects.
If you want to copy planned cost from one CO version to another CO Version, use CJ9BS,CJ9CS,CJ9FS.
Hope this clears you. Please go through the below mentioned link for better understanding of CO Version.

  • Creation of Transaction code for Reports created in FGI1.

    Hi all,
We are in ECC 6.0 version. We have created one report for Profit Center Group Wise Receivables with transaction code FGI1. When we executed the report from FGI5 , it was showing the values correctly.
We created the t.code for the report painter programe and tried to execute. The screen is different from that of T.Code: FGI4.  When we executed , it was not showing any values. I created authorisation for the report and also for the transaction codes.
Appreciate your suggestion at the earliest.

  • Transaction code history table

    Hi Guys,
I need to know the program names which were assigned to a particular transaction code. I know this history is stored in a table. I forgot the table name.
Now I am in urgency to find what are all the previous programs assigned to that transaction code.
    Thanks in advance,
    K. R. Chakradhar

    Hi Seshu,
           Thanks for your reply.
But here I don't know the program name.
I know the tcode name. we assigned different versions of the programs to a single tcode.
ex: prg1 is assigned to tcode1. then the program has been modified and named as prg2 and assignd to same tcode1. afterthat again the program has been modified and named as prg3 and assigned to same tcode1..like that it went some 5 to 6 versions...But note that the tcode name is same.
after some time i found that last version of the program is wrong.. I want to assign the second time program name ie. prg2.
for that I have to know all the program names which were assigned to that tcode.
from where I can find that one
plz give me the appropriate answers
    thanks in advance

  • Custom Transaction codes overwritten during transports

    Hi,
When I create custom queries in my production client, assign transaction codes to them, and assign them to roles they get overwritten every time I perform a transport for those roles. We are still at an early stage of implementation and there are still some daily authorization changes that require a transport from test to production. When the roles are transported it wipes all my reports (transaction codes) assigned to these roles in the production system. Is there a way to perform a transport without wiping out the customizations made to the role in the production system like these?
    Thank you,
    Sergiy

The answer is in the way one works with BI (or BW).
If the design is that queries are to be created in production (which is often used). As far as i know the only exception on the rule that everything should be build in DEV. And this is the only good way as you do not want end-users to work in DEV. There are some things to know about the way SAP works.
If a role is changed in DEV and transported to PROD all queries assigned to the role in PROD will be disconnected.
Solution a role to be used in PROD were queries will be assigned to should never be transported again.
Solution in detail, there should be roles for different use:
    1.     Access to Info providers in version read and write.
    2.     Access to publish reports in roles per query role.
    3.     Query/Menu roles per info area.
Roles 1 and 2 allow for access and can be transported as often as you want. Role 3 is only to be used as a container of queries to be used by end users and should NEVER be transported again (best practice is to delete if in DEV after transport and NOT assign it to a transport before deletion).
In the publisher role it can be arranged to which role(s) the publisher can assign reports. It is also possible to force users to use a report naming convention in this role.

  • Adding Transaction codes to CHIPS

I am working on the NW 7.02 version and wonder how to add SAP transaction codes to CHIPS. Point is that I have built a Web dynpro page with multiple containers and different CHIPS: but now I want to include a simple SAP transaction in that same page. I dunno how to do that. Maybe one of u got an idea?

It is all too easy. Jus add the transation within PFCG and they become visible in the CHIP catalog. Just select them and there you go.

  • Output types assignment with transaction codes(MIGO)

We have different output types in system for output determination in inventory management.
    eg: WE01,WA01 etc
Now while GR(101) how system will determine which output type it should use.
Suppose I am doing MIGO, then how system determining it should pick WE01 output type?
Is there any configuration setting telling the assignments of different output types to different transaction codes?
    Please advice.
    Thanks

It is based on the 7th Step in the below steps
Check following are some of steps for GR collective printing from SDN only
    1. Maintain the Printer Name in SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Gen Settings->Printer Setting
    2. Ensure that in SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Gen Settings->Item Print Indicator, 1 stands for Matl Doc print out
    3. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Gen Settings->Print Version, maintain Print Version 2
    4. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Maintain Print Indicator for GI/Transfer Posting Documents
    5. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Maintain Output Types, for the Output types WE01, WE02 and WE03, ensure the foll:
    a. Default Values: Dispatch Time is 3 or 4 as per reqmt. and Tr medium is 1
    b. Print Parameter is 7
    6. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Printer Det->Pr Det by Pl/StoLoc, maintain the Output device for all your Plants
    7. Go to MN21, for Tr Type WE, Print Version 3, maintain Print Item as 1.
Now the settings are ready for Printing Material doc
    8. While doing MIGO, ensure that in General Tab, you get "3 Collective Slip" beside the Print Indicator and you tick mark the field.
    9. Now depending on the setting in 5a, the Matl doc is printed. If it is 3, you have to print it using MB90. If it is 4, it is printed immediately.
