Pl let me know transaction code to know stock agaisnt materials lying under quality inspection ( for UD ) for more than one materials or plant wise or pgrp wise or sloc wise ....

Hi,
In QA33 Transcation code ,Enter the lot creation ,In list settings select ,Only lots without usage decision and execute.
In the layout select Quantity to be posted(Quality stock).This will give the list of Inspection lots against the material to be posted to Unrestricted or blocked stock.

Stock Type X Quality Inspection in Production Orders

Hello,
I have the material 123EDFXXX that the Production order has set the Stock Type =X (Quality Inspection)...
We don´t know how was that set!! since that material has not active the QM Views in the material master.
There is another master data (prod version, route) or something else that is coping that value??

1.Pl check if QM was active before the creation of order.If so you need to delete all Material and accounting documents
2. Check in the work scheduling view in material master if the inspection stock is active box is active.then this could be the reason.

Default stock type as quality inspection when i create Stock transport orde

I want default stock type as quality inspection when i create Stock transport order with T-code Me21n.All the settings in he material master are maintained for inspection type 08. (donot wnat to change the stock type manually,it should come as default)Please provide solution.

This is not QM setting this is Achieved by MM setting in SPRO.
SPRO>MM>purchasing>PO>define screen layout at document level>select UBF(STO) or ME21n>overview>GR/IR control>
select Qulaity inspection--> decheck the Opt Entry click on Display.
This will solve your problem

Problem in BAPI for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage

I am using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage Stock against quality inspection lot(not by MB1B) using mvt type 321.The material doc gets created by the BAPI,but actual stock posting is not taking place ie.the stock doesn’t get reflected in QA33/32 and QA11 also .Can any one suggest what must be wrong?The inputs given are as follows:
GOODSMVT_HEADER:
PSTNG_DATE =30/07/2014, DOC_DATE = 30/07/2014, REF_DOC_NO = INSP LOT NO.
GOODSMVT_CODE:
GM_CODE: ‘04’ .
GOODSMVT_ITEM:
MATERIAL = MATERIAL NO
PLANT = PLANTCODE
STGE_LOC = ‘WIP’
BATCH = BATCHNO
MOVE_TYPE = ‘321’
ENTRY_QNT = 100
ENTRY_UOM = ‘EA’
ORDERID = Prd ord no.
After executing this I used BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT also. I am able to see the posted qty in MMBE,but it is not reflecting in QA11/33/32.

Thanks for the reply. Even after using FM QAVE_PROCESS_AUTO_UD,when i execute
BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, the same thing is happening.I am unable to see the stock deducted in QA33.
Is there any input in the goods mvt bapi where we can provide inspection lot no since i believe that the goods mvt has to get connected with the inspection lot.

Check report MB52, enter the database seelction as per your requirement , in Display option, select Non-Hierarchial Representation and execute
else check QA33, in list setting select "Select only inspection lots without a usage decision"

Quality inspection for external opearatio

Procedure for Quality inspection for external operation is :
1) Assign the operation in routing which is done external processing
control Key : PP02 ( External processing )
Click on indicator : Insp char. required.
Hence when production order is released for above scenario , double click on the operation and click on create PR.
Than PO from PR.
material is relaesed for external processing agianst PO .
when material is get external processing and come in through GR . Material goes to quality stock.
after quality ok , its come in unrestricted stock.

Quality Inspection for a Movement Type 103 , change batch when doing QA11 .

Hi all,
I activated Quality Inspection for a Movement Type 103 . When do MIGO(GR 103) reference to PO ( include material A, qty 100 PC), it will create insp lot. Material A needs batch management.
1st time use QA11 to post 50 PC to stock, it will create a new batch( or you can select a exist batch ).
2nd time use QA11 to post another 50 PC to stock, it will use the batch 1st time used, and you can't change this batch number .
The question is : how to change batch number at the 2nd time ?

Backflush Semifinished product and stock post to quality inspection stock

Dear Experts,
Please advise is it possible for the below in SAP. How to do?
When backflush "Semifinished product", system automatically post to quality inspection stock. Then it is skip for 9 lots. The 11th lot again post to quality inspection stock.
1st backflush posting -> post to quality inspection stock
2nd until 10th backflush posting -> post to unrestricted stock (skip)
11th backflush posting -> post to quality inspection stock

Let me further explain what I want.
Production people produce semifinished product, but quality inspection people not inspect all the product. For example they will inspect 1st and 11th batch of product only.
So I propose when backflush the semifinished product, system post the stock to quality inspection stock. Then production people know this batch of product need to be inspected and pass to quality inspection people. Once quality inspection people complete the inspection, they will release the material (UD) to unrestricted stock.
I have no idea on how to configure and maybe it is not possible in SAP. Please advise.
Question: Is it we should manually create inspection lot for each transaction (eg. backflush or material movement)?

Stock posting from quality inspection to Unrestricted

Hi ,
User has approved the 1980 qty out of 2160 qty for a inspection lot in the transaction QA11 , now the 180 qty remains in quality inspection . plesase advise how can we move the 180 qty from QI to unrestricted stock.

Does the inspection lot has been created for the entire qty and only 1980 qty has been moved to unrestricted by QA decission?
If the lot still exists for remaining qty, do the same thing for the remaining qty and if not with a new lot.

Non stock material and quality inspection

Hi All,
We are using a material short text for a material procurement. System allows me to post the goods receipt with mvt type 101 into quality inspection stock.
However once posted to QI stock, we can not enter 321 movement with reference to GR document.
But i can enter rejection for full or partial quantity using movement type 122,with reference to GR document.
Can any one suggest the method to transfer the stock from QI stock to consumption. SAP doesnot allow consumption from QI stock. How to handle the process.

When you do GR at that time only system books the consumption of material quantity and value immediately. Since there is not any material master (Material text purchase)
The quality lot generated is for keeping the record of the materials Usage Decision and Result Recording and to generate the COA. It is not related with Stock Posting since there is not any stock after GR.

Moving Stock out of Quality Inspection

Hi Guys,
I have a slight issue that I need help with.
First, let me explain the situation.
I have a client that wants to use a 3rd party for their Inventory postings. They DO NOT want SAP Quality to move stock. Currently they have an Interface in place that sends the Stock postings via EDI. They never had Quality Management in place until now.
So, now when they do a MIGO Goods Receipt on a Purchase Order it generates an 01 type inspection lot. I have turned off the movement on the Usage Decision so that SAP can't move the stock out of Quality when they close the lot. They want the Interface to move the stock from Quality to Unrestricted. Currently it errors out and says "can't move stock need to use QM only"....
My question is......Besides updating the Inspection Lot via QA12. Is there ANY configuration settings I can work with to fix this? or Allow the "321" movement?

No. Stock must be moved via the inspection lot. For a third party interface like that you'll have probably look at building something using the FM used by the external interfaces to SAP QM such as LIMS.

No Quality Inspection for Stock Transfer

Hi,
There is a scenario now in which a material is activated for quality inspection. This same material is also used for Stock transfer from other plant with same company.
So if material if received using STO, how can I deactivate Quality Inspection and just transfer to unrestricted use.

QAAT0001 Inspection type determination different from variant 01
You can install enhancement QAAT0001 ,the function modules contained in this enhancement are called up in the
programs in which you can access the master inspection type if necessary.
The inspection lot is then created with the inspection type that was
determined using the enhancement.
logic will be for STO it will consider Z mvt type of origin 08 ,for STO material activate a Z mvt type & do not tick on Post to inspection.
For normal stock trnsfer system will create 08.

Issue of Quality Inspection for consignment return delivery

Hello,
I am doing a returns delivery(from a Sales Order) from a Customer Consignment.
I am getting a error when I do a Post Goods Receipt(PGI). QM is active for that material.
The error I am getting is
"Change the inspection stock of material XXX in QM only"
Procedure says
"Check both the QM inspection setup data and the movement type for material XXX in the quality management view of the material master"
The movement type used in the returns delivery is 655(GD returns for QI).
What is the solution for this error. Do I need to change/add new Inspection type based on the Movement type?
Please let me know ASAP.

It looks the material master is set-up inspection type with 06 - returns from customer. Also the movement type 655 moves the goods into QI stock. In this case, the Quality personnel needs to change the inspection stock type using transaction code QA32. They will change the usage decision on the customer returns.
Once the change the inspection type is changed, you can do the post goods receipt.

Quality Inspection for the 1st time Receive of Batch

Hi all.
My requirement is just to do the quality inspection when the Batch(MCHA-CHARG) is received in the first time in MIGO.
No quality inspection is required for next & consequtive goods receive for the same batch.
for the 1st time receive, the stock will go to quality inspection stock for any batch of a material. From the next time , the stock will go directly to unrestricted stock without quality inspection. is it possible? plz advice.

Hi Pabi,
I am not sure if this will help you, but here are the three options that you might want to consider:
- Source inspection. The idea here is that an IL is created for a purchase order prior to GR. All subsequent receipts for this PO can be configured to skip inspection.
- Control if insp. lot in material master (insp. set-up). In this case, the system will not create new insp. lot, if there's already one open for the same batch - it will merely add the qty of the new GR to the same open insp. lot.
- With dynamic modification you can let the following receipts of the same material from the same vendor to go without QI, but you can't fine-tune it by batch.
I know this is not the same what you want, but I can't recall at the moment a function that will satisfy your requirement exactly.
