Transaction iView Theme

Hi
I have publinshed a SAP Transactional iView in the Portal as a SAP Transaction HTML iView ..
SAP ECC 6.0, SAP EP 7.0
This works fine but the only issue is that it displays with the default SAP Theme .. Is it possible that this transactional iView takes on the default theme in the Portal which is a custom developed theme ?
Thanks
Damien ..

Check the discussion in below thread, when you are trying to display content from outside outside your portal, it will have its own look and feel, for eg.say in url iViews,
/message/830882#830882 [original link is broken]
Not very sure if it applies Transaction iViews as well.
For webdynpro applications however, you can make them theme specific, you will get related documents on SDN search. This one for eg: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/3ea0d790-0201-0010-80b8-b680496a3838

  • Application Parameters not working in the Transactional iViews

We had created transactional iViews for calling the standard SAP Transaction: IQS8 and IQS9. Here the issue is that we would like to populate the default screens for these 2 transactions with different set of default values.
So, we created variants and sending them as an application parameter to these trasnactional iViews. When we call this iView it is displaying these default values as per the variant which we are sending. But when executing that transaction, it seems those application parameters that we send through the iView are not being used to call that transaction.
How to enforce the transaction to make it use the application parameters as default values, does any one has any idea?
Please let me know if any one of you have a solution for this.

    Hi Venkat,
You might want to try the following approach:
1- Create a new transaction code in your SAP system (using transaction SE93 - maintain transaction) which would be a transaction variant of the transaction you want to call with a specific variant
2- Create a 'SAP transaction' iview that points to the new transaction code you created (SAP information <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/88/266a3e54a2e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">here</a>)
    Hope this helps.

  • How to go to a different Transaction from a Transaction iview

    Hi Experts,
I have one question and I need you help regarding this.
1 . How to go to a different R3 transaction from an existing R3-Transaction iview in portal.
Lets assume I have one iview which points to tcode : MIRO(R3 transaction)
Now the end user wants to go to a different transaction(for example : FB60) from this iview.
He wants to navigate to different transaction from inside portal only and not from ECC.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

Dont you want the user to enter this transaction in the command field after entering MIRO and let them work ike we work in R/3?
or make a transaction iview with transaction "SESSION_MANAGER" which will take the user to SAP initial screen and probably there user can go to any transaction to which he is authorized to.

  • Transaction iView( Tcode) Error: Function call in SAP GUI with errors

    Hey Guys:
I use Transaction iView to show the ABAP application on Portal. The application works to import data from client to BW. After I fill all the information and execute the application, the system returns the error message " Function call in SAP GUI with errors".
The ABAP application works fine on SAP GUI, so it should not be the program problem.
Any Suggestion for this will be nice. Thanks for your help.

    Hey Duy:
Thanks for your response. I check the servers which i have access, and all of them cannot work correctly.
First, other iViews(Dynpro,BW Report,BSP,KM...) work fine.
Second, our backend system is a BW server.
I try to do so on our EP production and development, also connect them to our BW production and development servers. All of those are failed and have the same problem.
The t-code comes from our abap program and register on BW server, and hte program works fine when I use SE38 to execute it.
PS. The Transaction iView works fine before, but I have no idea why it just crash now.
Please let me know if you have any suggestion about this.

  • WebDynpro iView OR Transaction iView

    Hi all,
in EP, there are many types of iView. but I want to focusing in one type of iView only.
So, I want to know which one is better,
WebDynpro iView or using Transaction iView.
is there any documentation from SAP?
like Security, Performance, System requirements between those two.
    thank you.

    Hello Adyt,
    Answer might sound typical theoratical
Selection of WebDynpro iView or SAP Transaction iView depends upon the client's need.
WebDynpro Applications are used when we want to create our own reports with specific branding colors, theme, adding buttons, customised selection criteria for generating report.
Transaction iView on the other hand is used when client wants exactly same look and feel of R3 , using Enterprise Portal.
Sometimes SAP transactions can't be converted into application, e.g. SAP internal Mail box (Transaction SWBP).
In such cases no other option than using Transaction iViews !
About requirements, SAP logon pad needed to be installed on the user's terminal to see transaction iView with iView type selected as "SAP Gui" iView.
You can bypass this need by selecting iView type " Web Gui"
For webdynpro you need to have NWDS(Netweaver Development Studio) for application development and java skills as well.
For transaction iView you need to have user mapping between Enterprise Portal and the backend System.
To view WebDynpro iview one does not need user mapping.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pradnya

  • Printing SAP Reports (Transactional iviews) from Portal

I am having problem in printing the SAP Transactional I views (SAP Reports Output) from the Portal page. On selecting the Print Option under Menu from the SAP transactional iview page, it shows the list of the printers in the backend system. On selecting the printer configured in backend abap system and issuing a print command, it only creates a spool request in the backend system and nothing is sent to the printer itself.
I have also tried to use "PDF1" device type by creating a new output device and it does bring the contents of the report on a web embedded PDF page, hoever the characters are too small and to read and the ALV Report is no longer aligned. The line separating the rows and columns are not aligned.
Can anyone help in suggesting the best way to print contents of SAP Reports (created as Transactional i views) from the SAP Portal.
    Thanks!

    Hi Margie,
It is not necessary for a developer to have access to that area, and certainly not in a production system.
Ideally, there should be developer, test, QA and production systems, and the developer can have access to the developer system. The UI you are talking about gives access to all WD applications deployed to the AS Java, and the ability to run them as well as change some settings. But this is the domain of the administrator.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to create R/3 Transaction Iviews in EP

    Hi Experts,
I want to create R/3 Transaction Iview in EP.
So can any body guide me step by step procedure for it.
    Regards,
    DS

    Hi DS,
To create a transaction iview u need to create a system object first. It contains the details of the system u want to connect to from portal. In your case u need to give the details of your R/3 system in the system object.
To create system object goto SYSTEM ADMIN>SYSTEM CONFIG>SYSTEM LANDSCAPE>PORTAL CONTENT>JUST RIGHT CLICK ON UR FOLDER (SYSTEM FROM TEMPLATE)just select that and from the available templates select -->SAP SYSTEM USIN DEDICATED APPLICATION SERVER.just give the name for the system object.
Now goto the properties of the system object select the property CONNECTOR
and fill in the following fields:
    APPLICATION HOST:
    GATEWAY HOST:
    GATEWAY SERVICE:
    REMOTE HOST:
    SAP CLIENT:
    SYS ID:
    SERVER PORT:
    SYS TYPE:
save them and now select the property USER MANAGEMENT and fill the fields
    AUTHENTICATION TICKET TYPE:sap logon ticket
    LOGON METHOD:UDPW
    USER MAPPING TYPE:ADMIN,USER
To make the sys object being identified by the portal we declare alias name in display select SYSTEM ALIASES give alias name and save.
Now goto user admin select the user to map the portal user to the sys object.
select the property USER MAPPING FOR SYSTEM ACCESS.
In that u coula find the list of available system aliases select your alias and give user id password.
goto content admin>portal content>folder> new iview>sap transaction iview>sap gui for windows>select ur alias name and give the transaction code.

    Vijay,
Please follow these steps and lemme know what you observe.
Go to system administration->support->sap application-> under test and configuration tools choose sap transaction
under the mandatory fields choose the system that you have created, choose a tcode (se16) and choose sap gui for windows and click go.
If you are able to logon to your ecc system, your sso works!
P.S Make sure the user name with which you are testing this, exists in the backend as well.
    Good luck

  • Configuring ITS for EP7.0 to create Transactional Iviews

    Hi Everybody,
    This is urgent!!!!!!!!
    <b>
Do we have to configure Internet Transaction Server for EP 7.0 to create Transactional Iviews?
    </b>
    with regards
    Brahmachaitanya

What is your backend version. If it is ECC 5.0 or ECC 6.0 you need to configure integrated ITS.  There are some differences interms of features offered by standalone Vs integrated ITS.  Service marketplace will list them very well. (http://service.sap.com/sap-its)

  • Passing Parameters Transaction iView

    Hi!
I have created a SAP transaction iView that calls the transaction MM03. I know that we can pass application parameters by defining them in the iView properties. On the SAP help website, its given in the syntax <Screen_field1>=<parameter1> and so on for all the parameters.
How do I find out the name of the screen field? For example, I want to pass the material number VPP27. So it should be, <Screen_field1>=VPP27. But how do know what the screen field is called? I tried giving in Material, but it doesnt work..
    Anyone know a way out?
    Sameer

You can position the cursor at the field within the transaction in R3, then use the F1 key (for help), followed by F9 (for technical help).  You should see a pop-up showing the screen field names for the present field that the cursor is on.

  • Toolbar on Transactional iView

    Hi All,
I am creating a transactional iView on toolbar getting many buttons. I dont want all buttons, just one button to be there?
I tried applying ~webgui_simple_toolbar parameter for my webgui service at the backend with many available option 1,2, 4,6,16,32,64,128
    nothing fits...
    Can anyone help me.
Is there any other way apart from this parameter for setting the action button for transactional iView.. Transactional Code is SU3 .. basic User settings.. user want to save by themselves... hence I want only Save button.. but default it comes with many buttons.. I dont want all them expect Save.
    Please help me.
    Regards
    Pankhuri

you have to create a IAC ivew for the same and in it do the following validations.
But all the buttons will disappear in this case.
For this IAC ivew there is a corresponding SE80 internet service created, open it from sicf now
    Goto sicf ->sap->bc->gui->sap->its->
    open Webgui application
clcik on GUI configuration and give the following paramaetrs. the buttons and the command box will disappear.
    ~NOHEADEROKCODE = 1
    ~WEBTRANSACTIONTYPE = EWT
    also
open the r/3 trnasaction for which you are creating a IAC ivew with se93.
    under classification
select the ESAY WEB TRANSACTION radio button.
dats it the buttons will disapper.
    Cheers!!

  • Issue regarding refreshing transaction iview

    Hi gurus,
    the issue is,
end user has transaction iview and url iview ,
transaction iview is created using GUI for windows, so that he/she can enter any transaction.
SESSION_MANAGER is the tcode assignd to  enduser in transaction iview,
the problem is ,if user is using SE38 and then he click on url iview tab in top level navigation and click on transaction iview tab or refreshes the page then the transaction in transaction iview comming back to SESSION_MANAGER.
client need same transaction to be displayed even after refreshing page or navigationg to other tab.
    Regards
    K Naveen Kishore.

    Hi Naveen,
If you switch navigate to another iview and then back to your transaction iview, or refresh the portal page, you restart the iview with all its initial settings - including transaction. It seems you want to somehow suspend the state of the interaction with the SAPGUI, even between openings in the portal window. That's not possible.
What you could do is set the SAPGUI to open in a new window (this is always the case if you use the SAP Shortcut File starting technique) - then the user interacts with this window for all his transaction-based work and uses the original window for portal activities. Alternatively create a role structure that includes all the transactions of interest to the particular user group, and have them switch between transactions in this way rather than by entering commands in the SAPGUI command field.
    Regards, Rory

  • I want to Hide Back option but Not Save option when using transaction iview

    Hi,
    Sap Guru's
I am new in Sap EP.... I am using Transaction iviews in the portal....  I want to Hide Back option but not the Save Option of transactions....I want to hide it from  potal ...... Is it Possible.....
I have done settings in  SICF Tcode in ECC system as Following:
    ~Webgui = 1
~Webgui_simple_toolbar = 160, 2, 4, 16, 32, 64 and some more values... It is hiding the Back option but also the Save Option....
    I also want to disable commands as Ctlr  + S , shift + F3
Suggest me some solution so that this can be done from portal instead of ECC systems.....
    Thank's in Advance
    Regards-
    Sumeet Sharma

    Hai,
      Kalyan,
I have done this problem using SICF but instead of Hiding Back option .. I have allowed a user to run only one transaction using an iview....
    Put following parameter in SICF:
    ~webgui = 1
    ~theme = Sl
    ~SINGLETRANSACTION = 1
By this configuration user will be able to execute only one transaction i.e  assigned him in his transaction iview.... It's an alternate solution of hiding back......
when user click front screen back option of an transaction iview he will get message ... Logged off....
    Regards-

  • Accessing Transaction iview as a part of BPM workflow

    Hi,
We have a requirement where a 6 level BPM process is being created. As a part of this process, we need to access transaction iview. On the screen where transaction iview should appear, we also need to show a web dynpro java "submit" button. On click of this button, the workflow should move to next level. Since, through BPM we cannot directly access the PCD objects, we have created a transaction iview, and a web dynpro application carrying the submit button. Both of them have been nested into a page. We have created another base DC which calls this portal page in the init method. The base DC is integrated in the workflow. When we try to open it through the UWL task, we are facing two issues:
    1. a blank window opens first, and then the page window opens. This is because the property is set to show_external while calling the page. But, if we change the property to in_place and click on the task in the UWL, the portal page does not open. A blank scfreen is displayed with standard UWL buttons for "Close" etc.
    2. If we open the page with the property set to show_external itself, then on click of submit button, though we are firing the complete event (which is created in the base DC, and called in the second DC through a method), it does not work.
Can anyone please help in this regard?
    Thanks & regards,
    Anupreet

    Hi Anupreet,
    Item 2:
Is the window the contains the button opened inside the portal iview or in the application that calls the portal ui?
In the first case the problem is that the event you are firing can not be caught by the BPM framework because the application is not run inside the context of the bpem application, so the event is not caught by BPM and nothing happens. You may wat to consider using portal eventing in conjuction with your application and try and catch the event in the application started by the BPM process and then firing the event again but inside the bpm application context.

  • Does each SAP transaction iview create a log on to the backend ECC?

    Hi,
If I put multiple SAP transaction iviews in a role, each pointing to a different SAP transaction in the same backend system, does the launch of each iview create a new logon in the backend system when using SAP logon tickets?  If so, is it possible to make it only launch a new session if one logon has already been created?
    Regards
    Cindy

    Hello Cindy,
launching of diffrent Transactio Iview form same back end is quite similar as loged in to backend with Proper credentials and opening diffrent transaction's by useing
    /oxx(Transaction Name)
Hope it will add to ur knowladge.
