Transaction PU01 & LSMW

hi all,
i need to delete current payroll results in bulk for some employees; i've tried to create a recording using transaction PU01, but it is not responsive to this..
Does anyone have any thoughts on this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Edited by: minttea on Jan 25, 2011 1:13 PM

Its mean your recording is not properly done. Check with one employee. Do the recording and check if the result are deleted are not after doing recording. if the result are deleted then the sam ething should get   record program as well.
As volker said you can delete the result with RPUDEL20 , but here you have to delete one by one.

    Hi JC,
    thanks for answer !!
I don't believe this solve my problem, because there is a Z program that makes call transaction in PU01, but when I road in the background in version 6.0 does not work.
    In version 4.6 work ...
I think SAP disable the exclude cluster in background in the new version, is it ?
    thank you once again !!!

  • LSMW - Logical File Path not pointing to Physical Path

    Hi All,
I'm trying to upload some MIGO goods movement transactions through LSMW.  I'm to step 7, specifying files, and am getting the error "No logical file path has been specified.  I saw another thread which helped me, but I am still stuck after reading it.
Re: Error in Creation of Purchase Requisition through LSMW
I have gone into transaction FILE and created the logical file name MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT, and set the physical file as the .lsmw.conv converted data file as the above thread says.  I also tried using the logical path LOCAL_TEMPORARY_FILES for the converted data, but I get the error telling me that the path does not point to a physical directory.  I then tried creating my own file path, and setting the path to my desktop where the source file is, and the same error occurred.
Does anyone know why it is not recognizing the physical path maintained in the logical path?
    Thanks,
    J

    Thanks for both replies,
I have full authorization across all transactions in the sandbox system I am working in, so that is not an issue.  I filled the logical path field in the MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT logical file with LOCAL_TEMPORARY_FILES, as well as trying my own created file path, and I recieved the same error for each.  Here is how the config is currently:
    Logical File Path Definition:  MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT
    Syntax Group: WINDOWS NT
    Physical path: C:\Documents and Settings\jchanski\Desktop\<FILENAME>
    or,
    Logical File Path Definition:  LOCAL_TEMPORARY_FILES
    Syntax Group: WINDOWS NT
    Physical path: C:\temp\<FILENAME>
    Logical File Name Definition: MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT
    Physical file: MM_MM_MIGO_INVUPLOAD.lsmw.conv
    Data format: ASC
    Applicat.area: MM
    Logical path: LOCAL_TEMPORARY_FILES or MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT
Do you see any error with this Brajvir?  Thanks!

  • Call multiple screens from LSMw

    Hi
i want to call multiple screens from lsmw
I need to call a three transaction from LSMW wich are subzequent steps for data entry.
    1) first tcode to be called is eprodcust which creates some master data and using this master data and some fields of data creatd i need to call two more tcodes first iq01 to create meter and save then eg31 tcod to feed data.
Please suggest where in lsmw can i give options for suc hscnerio and call of subsequent screens.

    Hi Priti ,
we have few options to handle such cases , to avoid Locked Problems what you can do is
-->write BDC program within LSMW to create installation ( this will be created within step of 11 Convert Data ).
-->Based on the above BDC results ,run another BDC within LSMW to create Device.( this will be created within step of 11 Convert Data ).
-->third BDC records , let SAP do it thru LSMW or can you do it convert data step itself.
this approch needs lots of codes , so in worst case and if you dont want to break the loadings the follow this.
*Better to find any BAPI which will do creation of installation ,devices

    Hi,
1.BDC is Batch Data Communication where data is transferred from legacy system to SAP system.
           Different methods of BDC are
             1. Call Transaction Method.
             2. Session Method
             3. Direct Input method.
    2.  Call Transaction Method is  one of the method in BDC for Data Transfer.
         Syntax :
CALL TRANSACTION trans [using bdctab MODE mode].
                    Where trans = Transaction Code
Bdctab = Internal table of structure BDCDATA.
                              Mode = Display mode.
Three possible entries are there for MODE.
                            A          -           Display all .
                            E          -           Display errors only.
                            N          -           No Display.
          Procedure :
                 1.     Prepare a BDCDATA structure for the transaction that u wish 2 run.
                 2.     With a CALL TRANSACTION USING statement, call the transaction and prepare the BDCDATA structure. For example:
CALL TRANSACTON ‘ZSRC’ USING BDCDATA MODE ‘A’.
                                   MESSAGES INTO MESSTAB.
                           IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
                            <Error_handling>.
                           ENDIF.
    3.  Procedure :
                 1.     Generate the batch input session using function module BDC_OPEN_GROUP.
                 2.     The proceed as follows for each transaction that the session contains:
a . In the BDCDATA structure, enter the value for all screens and fields that must be processed in the transaction.
                              b. Use BDC INSERT to transfer the transaction and the BDCDATA structure to the session.
c.Close the batch input session with BDC CLOSE GROUP
d.Start to process the generated session.
    4.Session method.
    1) asynchronous processing.
    2) can tranfer large amount of data.
    3) processing is slower.
    4) error log is created
    5) data is not updated until session is processed.
    Call transaction.
    1) synchronous processing
    2) can transfer small amount of data
    3) processing is faster.
    4) errors need to be handled explicitly
    5) data is updated automatically
    5.Call Transaction method.
6.Direct Input is a technique  which doesnot create a session but stores data directly. To enhance the batch input procedure, the system offers the direct input technique, especially for transferring large amounts of data.
7.In LSMW ,there are two more import techniques (BAPI,IDoc) & Mapping can be done automatically. It contains 17 to 18 steps for migrating the data. It's an automatic procedure.
8.Goto Transaction 'LSMW' and execute it.We can view the steps.
9.Yes,We can. There is an option in 'Maintaining Object Attributes'.
    12.Synchronous processing.
In Database Update,it may be Synchronous or Asynchronous.
    13.Asynchronous processing.
        In Database Update,it is  Synchronous.
14.BAPI(Business Application Programming Interface) they are actually methods (business functions) exposed by the sap environment to manipulate business objects defined in the business objects repository. other sap or non sap systems can use these bapis for their business operations.
16: regarding advantages for BAPI, please refer: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7e/5e11dc4a1611d1894c0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

  • Mass Reversal of Cleared Vendor Transactions

    Hi Fi gurus,
I uploaded some Vendor transaction using LSMW but discovered some anomaly.Unfortunately some of this transactions have been cleared.
1)Now i want to do mass reversal of all this documents.
2)For the cleared documents i learnt i cannot reverse until i reset or something ,How do i reset so that i can reverse this documents.
3)I read in one of the forums of the process of using BDC program to do mass reversal. Please can anyone give a clue to this also if possible give a sample BDC program as to go about this.
4)All other information will be highly appreciated.
I'll please appreciated a detailed approach to solving this if anyone has a clue.

    Hi,
You have to use Transaction FBRA to reset it. Unfortunately there is no transaction code in SAP where you can reset in MASS.
You can try with a LSMW recording of FBRA to reset and reverse by giving a range of documents in the Excel Sheet.

    8.     In case of errors, solve them and run through the process again.
    Possible problems might be:
    •     Configuration does not fulfill the master data requirements (CATT and manual processing of the transaction would also fail)
    •     External master data file is not stored as tab separated file
    •     Other data inconsistencies
    Result
You have created vendor master data.

  • Can I import a recording from SHDB into a project in LSMW?

    Hi,
I'm working with LSMW, and i would like to know if it's possible to import o reuse a recording that already exists in transaction SHDB?
I tried but it seems that i should create a new recording again in the lsmw althought there exits one that was created by the shdb.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Albio.-

    Hi,
No, it is not possible to import the recording you have done using SHDB transaction to LSMW as LSMW has its own recording facility, and we need to make use of the one available in LSMW.
    Rgds,

  • Lsmw with multiple line

    Hi,
I need to change/edit  payment transaction at vendor master data (FK02).
The vendor already have 1st row with bank ctry, bank key, bank number, now i need to add another row but I am unable to do it.
When we record via lsmw, the recording is okay but in the final output the 2nd line over write the 1st line item.
Please advice how to create 2 or more line items at payment transaction via lsmw.

Create the details in one line ie:
    Vendor #       Company code          Bank Country 1      Bank Country 2         Key1        Key2       bank A/C 1       bank A/C2
If the country is always US create a constant rule while mapping
To verify this, check the Field Mapping in LSMW

  • LSMW for uploading Vendor Invoice in F-43

    Hi All,
I want to upload Vendor Invoice using LSMW in F-43. But in the 3rd Step- Maintain Source Fields, I am unable to maintain same field more than once. System throws error stating that same field is maintained. Hence, when I complete all the steps and run the Batch Input Session, I dont have the respective fields and data in them.
I want to know whether we can upload Transactions through LSMW or its only useful for Master Data upload.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
It is better to create a customized transaction code for the below BAPI to upload the vendor invoice/credit note details
API_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST - Can be used to post AP/AR.
    following are the input fields
    Header Text
    Site
    Document Date
    Posting Date
    Vendor
    GL
    Reference text
    Item Text1
    Item Text2
    Amount
    Currency
If the amount with credit indicator treated as GL credit and there is no sign with amount it should be treated as GL debit
