Transaction STWB_1 and Test catalog for IS OIL

Cannot find Test catalogs TK IS-OIL* from transaction STWB_1 as mentioned in document Appl_Test_doc_600_1.pdf attached to SAP Note 890458
I tried to do the following from Appl_Test_doc_600_1.pdf:
Call transaction STWB_1 or from the SAP menu, choose: Tools → ABAP Workbench → Test → Test Workbench → Test Organizer → Manage Test Catalog Choose Utilities → Manage Favorites (Shift+F9) The Manage Favorites dialog box appears.
Select Add favorite (Shift+F5) The Favorites dialog box appears.
Enter OIL_ECATT in the Management Data Package field. Choose Execute (F8). Select all three test catalogs
TK IS-OIL APT
TK IS-OIL APTPRA
TK IS-OIL SC Choose Copy (Enter).

I have ECC600 and not 46C as in the not you sent me
Anyway thanks for the support
just for information, in this case we have to Apply ECAK020859.SAR for eCATT and P7IK039071.SAR for custumizing (OSS note 890458)

How to configure and test workflow for Creating Leave Request

Hi,
When I select leave request iView in portals I get an R/3 screen titled "Create Leave Request".And when I fill in the details for approver and press send I get this error message "You are not one of the possible agents of the task".
So help required to configure and test the workflow behind Create leave request iView.

you have to set all activities in the workflow to "general task" as well, not only for WS12300111 itself (doubleclick on each symbol with the "triangle").
check the status of the sent leave request in transaction PTARQ (Display Documents). Here the "next agent" & the "pers. no" of the next agent is of interest.
logon with the user, that is saved in infotype 0105 of the above mentioned pers.no. there should be the approve request.
you can check the status of the workitems with SWI1 (i assume your system is prepared for workflows , check SWU3)

Change Management and Test Workbench for documentation

Hi,
I would like some clarification on the association between change requests and test workbench.
I'm going through scenarios such as creating a maintenance project, creating a task list and service message and then creating a transport request.
During these steps, I want to document the test results prior to migrating these transports into the production system.
My questions are - how do you link the maintenance project and also urgent corrections to a test procedure and documentation. It appears that by using solar01/solar02 and stwb_2/stwb_work, these tests are linked to a project and not necessarily a "change request"
I greatly appreciate if you can elaborate the association between the various areas a bit clearer for me.

You need to look for information on usage type "DI", "Development Infrastructure" or "NWDI" (all common abbreviations for the same thing). There were some very good presentations on NWDI at TechEd this year.

Exise Transaction type and Document Type for part 2 record created by J2iun

Hi All ,
We utilized available credit of SERVICE TAX (HCESS and ECESS) and CENVAT (of both RG23A and RG23C) credit against payable SERVICE TAX ( ECESS and HCESS).
At the time of save , system has generated accounting document.I have checked generated accounting document which is perfect.Here the document type selected by the system is ED.
But when I check corresponding part2 entry (in table J_1IPART2) there system has not updated any value in fields Exise Transaction Type (TT) and document Type while internal document and Financial Year are updated with 0 value.
I am not sure if system behaves in the same way for J2IUN generated PART-2 entry.
I need your help to understand it.

Hi,
There is not any transaction type for Excise Utilization and determining the accounts of the fortnightly utilization.
The credit account of the transaction type u2018DLFCu2018 is used as the debit account here. For the credit side we pick the debit accounts from the GRPO, EWPO and TR6C transactions.
This is the reason system only generates a Part II Serial No and updates in table.

MDG-Hub: Tried and tested methods for ECC customizing synchronization

MDG Experts, I am looking for guidance on synchronizing configuration and customizing data between ECC and an MDG-Hub. I reviewed documentation on (a) synchronizing via BC set import and (b) via TMS although I was looking for a little bit more detail and steps involved in setting up ongoing synchronization between ECC and an MDG-Hub.

I have used - BC sets to transport the ECC configuration to MDG. Another way is to transport the tables directly from ECC environment to MDG.

Organizing cross-component eCATT tests in the Test Catalog

My question is regarding how to properly structure the test catalog. I have an eCATT test that uses REF to call three other eCATT tests. These three tests are simulating a businses process (order to cash) and they are Creating a Sales Order (VA01), Creating a Delivery (VL01N) and Creating the Billing Document (VF01). Since test catalogs are placed in the application hierarchy I created three separate test catalogs, one for each test. The catalog with VA01 is in component SD-SLS-SO while the catalog with VL01N is in LE-SHP and VF01 is in SD-BIL. Now I have the fourth eCATT script -- the chain script that uses REF to call those other three scripts. Since this script doesn't belong to any one specific module or component I can't create a test catalog for it in the application hierarchy. I also realized that if I created a test plan from the three test catalogs with VA01, VL01N and VF01 I wouldn't be able to execute them individually because the scripts share Import and Export variables. What is the Best Practice for creating and storing multi-transactional, cross-component tests that simulate business processes?
Secondarily, is there a forum dedicated to eCATT, TestWorkbench or SAP automated testing? If not, which forum would be the best place to post these testing related questions?

there are effectively two approaches:
1. Find the "lowest common denominator" - if you have a master script that calls scripts from various sub-components of SD, place the master script in SD (top level)
2. Try to establish the "lead activity" in your master script - ask yourself the question "How would I describe this test case in one sentence?". Then try to classify the master script according to that.
Both approaches have advantages and disadvantages.
There is, of course, a third possibility. If you have real baseline tests that test business processes that run right through everything, you could put the catalog at "SAP" level in the application hierarchy.

Monitoring of remote system's Transactional RFC and Queued RFC

In our production system, in rz20- CCMS monitor templates- Communication-Transactional RFC and Queued RFc- outbound queues- Queues otherwise not monitored we can see blocked queues for each client.
System is connected to solution manager and we wish the central auto reaction is implemented in solution manager
However i am unable to find Transactional RFC and Queued RFC for the remote system, they exist only for solution manager itself

First you need to check with your Landscape in solman in order to monitor any kind of activities to do so pls follow these steps.
Go to SMSY in solman under Landscape components>Product systemsselect you satellite system example SAP ECC.
On the main screen you will find client for which you have generated RFC connection. Please check though connection are working fine, Go to edit mode and try to click on generate button there will be a pop-up, which gives a clear picture of RFC connection which already exists, and you can also re-generate this RFC connection by clean it up when you re-generate pls select under Actions after generation assign RFC dest for system monitoring.
But make sure there is no project impact on this RFC, like they are not using any logical components and already have some projects running on this RFC connection.
I would advise you to first you the option of assign and check RFC button which is next to generate icon.

Setup of Customer Dev and Test environment

Customer wants to set up a Dev and Test env for Apex on the same machine. Been trying to wrap my head around the way to do this. Seems like these are the options:
1) Separate databases, Two APEX homes, Two HTTP Servers
2) One database, different Workspaces, One APEX home, One HTTP Server
# 1 is the most 'pristine' from the perspective of separation of everything (and patching), but #2 seems like a more manageable environment. Only down side I see to #2 is that DEV can never have a newer release of APEX than TEST.
BTW -the customer wants TEST to look like PROD except during code push time. They also want TEST env refreshed regularly from PROD in between code releases.
Suggestions? Other options?

ChaRM and test management in implementation projects

I am doing implementation projects in solution manager. i have activated charm in the project so as to transport all the changes related to the project with the project lifecycle.
I have got confusions regarding CHarm and Test MAnagement.. when we activated CHaRM the tester can logon to the system and perform testing and pass the Change Document to the next phase.
What is the standard flow when both CHaRM and TEst Management for a project exists??
