Transaction templates

Hi All ,
can any one help me in this..my problem is ..
we are executing a target group specific campaign..my requirement is , when we transfer the target group to the execution channel in campaign , a sales transaction Qoutation should be generated for each business partner..
I assume this can be achieved by transaction tamplates..
Can any one give me clear config steps to achieve the above scenario...plz let me know if my question is not clear ?
Thanks in avcance

Hi,
why are you so impatient! First I would be better if you can provide a real name instead of your "sap crm" account.
AFAIK it is only possible to create activity templates which then will be used to create activities when the campaign is executed. Can you explain why quotations should be created as the result of a campaign? I think leads or opportunities can be the result of a campaign. But as I think this needs to be personally qualified by a sales representative.
Best regards
Gregor

  • Activities Generation using transaction template???

    Good day Gurus!!
    Really need your help!
I'm trying to generate list of activities for specific Target Group of business partners. Also I need that generated activities would have PLANNED DATE from business partner master data (visiting hours).
E.g. If business partner's visiting hours = Mon, 11am-1pm; Fri, 4pm-6pm, then 2 activities should be generated respectively one for Mon and second for Fri.
Transaction CRMD_CALL_LIST seems to be pretty convenient for that. However there are couple of questions:
    1) Is there a way that generated Activities keep link to the Marketing Campaign to which Target Group is assigned?
    2) Is there a possibility to use transaction template for mass generation of activities?
There is another approach of generating activities - I can do it from CRM_MKTPL. If I use this approach then generated activities are automatically linked to Marketing Campaign and are created using transaction template. BUT in this case:
    1) How can generate these activities based on Business Partner Visiting hours???
Thanks for having read it to the end.
Any answer will be truely appreciated,
    Nikita

Here are some jpgs since nobody has replied to this thread yet.  I hope this helps everyone because I do need the help.

  • Create a bussiness transaction templates

    Hi guys:
Do you know if it is possible to create business transactions templates to pre fill some data ? like lead templates used for marketing purposes.
    Thanks in advanced
    Susana

we get deprived in differently time ranges our authorizations for the Standard Transactions.
So you try to bypass security checks put in place by the Basis team
or could you explain your requirement ?
Remember (or learn) that creating such transaction, you are able to bypass following authorization checks using SU24 (Identity Management, User and Role Administration of Application Server ABAP, AS ABAP Authorization Concept, From the Programmed Authorization Check to a Role, Editing Authorization Default Data (Development System) / Editing Authorization Default Data (Customer System). )

  • Concept of Value, Task & Template Roles

    Hello,
Can anyone explain the concept of value roles, task roles & Template roles in SAP? I have heard about single, composite, derived roles in sap.
Also, can there be a transaction in derived roles independent of the parent role? i mean that a transaction that i could add to derived role only in addition to the transaction that derived role with inherit from the master role. if yes, what will be its affect on auth. objects etc..
    Kind Regards, Ben

    Hi
Single, composite & derived roles are technical role types.  Value, task & template are descriptions of how roles can be used and can often have different meanings. The most common ones are:
Task: A single role (or could be a derived role) that represents a small piece of functionality such as create PO, display SO, create journal, change material etc.
Template: Is sometimes used to describe a parent role or if derived functionality is not used, the transactional template for variants to be created that have different org level and / or field level restrictions.  It is also used for composite roles where you have the "shape" of the composite role defined with dummy roles and these are replaced with equivalents that represent the access required for the relevant org levels.  There are probably a few other uses for the term template - like task and value, it is not a standardised term.
Value: There is a design concept that has transactional content in one role and org level content in another role.  The org level/key restriction part is designed to reduce the number of variants created but this introduces complexity in other areas, e.g. it breaks SU24.
It also describes a concept where you have small pieces of authorisation (e.g. cost centre, access to posting periods) where you can supplement the role build with discrete authorisations.
Different transaction in a derived role: As Soumya said, this is not recommended.  You could do it by manually adding an instance of S_TCODE and adding the transaction in there however it breaks the derived role concept and as soon as you push changes down from the parent, the change will be overwritten.

  • Transaction Tempaltes

    Version:2007A SP01 PL07
Description of requirements: By using a transaction template there should
all data be available in the journal entry as they´re in the transaction
template. for example if you rename an account. In the same way there
should be the possibility to add notes per line. But there is no
possibility to show a column for notes.
Valid as of: as soon as possible
Business needs: (Please describe the impact on your business, if the
    functionality is not realized)
Examples: There has been created a transaction template. Now this
template has to be used in a journal entry. The selection is correct, but
all changes within the transaction template are not shown in the journal
enrty now for example the name of account.
Current Workaround:You have to overwrite all account names again and
notes per line have to be defined each time you use this trasaction template.
Proposed solution: There should bethe possibilty to define notes in the
transaction tempalte already and if there have been changes regarding the
name of account they shoulb be available in the journal entry, too.

  • Open Transactions

    Dear all,
Is there any open transactions template created for PP just like creating open PR in MM during implementation...???
    regards,
    Joseph.

    HI,
If it is fresh implementation then you need to check whether any open Production orders are existing with any other system which your client is using i.e. legacy system. If they exist then either they need to close them and start afresh in SAP with Production planning. Alternately, if you decide to bring open production orders then you need to maintain necessary master data for it i.e. BOM , Routing etc. and create Production orders in system. Generally it is recommended to close open production orders etc of legacy system.
If your project is rollout / upgradation from earlier version, then you can bring open orders etc, through separate order type maintaining for previous version so you can recognise them as older orders of previous version migrated to new system.
Take decision based on your project situation since you've not mentioned details about project.
    Hope this helps.

    Tejas

  • Transaction tamplete in Campaign

Hi i am trying to assign Transaction Template to Campaign but is is giving me following error..
The business transaction with the number 0005001003 and type TA that is assigned to the marketing element is not a business transaction template of template type D

    Hi Ronak,
While assigning transaction templates to the campaign, please ensure the transaction type is a template.
I.e. In the customizing of the transaction type (Customer relationship mgmt-> Transactions-> basic setting--> define transaction type), assign option D in the template type.
The error your getting is because the business transaction 005001003 is created using transaction type TA .And in the customizing of this transcation type D is not assigned.
Hence make use of a transaction type which is of type template.
WIsh the information is useful. If it helps, do reward with points.

  • Page preview displaying iViews incorrectly

I am just learning Portal and have run into an issue that I'm sure folks out here can help me with.
I created two iViews from the SAP iView transaction template.  Both transactions are custom transactions, pointing to custom Z-programs reports.  I have added these iViews to a page, assigned the standard side-by-side layout, and changed the iView Height properties to be Automatic.
The problem is, when I preview the page, the Tray Headers correctly display the title assigned to the transaction, but the selection screen displayed in each iView tray is the same.  Whatever iView displays first, the second iView seems to use this same data for its display.
It seems to be an issue related to caching, but as I am new to Portal I am not sure where to look to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance, and any help would be appreciated.
    Terri

    Hi Terri,
If you think that the issue is with regards to cache, then have a look at this document for more information
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/71d7b8dc-0701-0010-dfba-881dba1b5b95?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true

  • Copy Standard Text into CRM_ORDERH

    Hello,
maybe anybody has an idea for my problem: I need an default text in a textscheme in the order-header. I can do this manually, I create a standard text within the textobject "TEXT" with SO10, and in the transaction I can copy the text with help of the sapscripteditor into my text. But, I need this functionality automatised. When I create my transaction, I want to have a default text.
I tried to manage this with access sequence, but I cannot see any possibility with this. The problem is, that the reference object "TEXT", were you can create standard texts, is not accessable from the order-header.
    Any ideas?
    Best regards and thanks
    Sab

I think you should be able to solve this using Transaction Templates.
This allows you to prefill data on the template and saves a lot of effort during business transaction creation.
You can create templates for different transaction categories such as activities, leads, service orders and so on:
    Explanation for a service order:
    Definition
The template for the service order business transaction. As is the case with the service order, the service order template is used to map services in the system. A service order template enables you to define and store reusable service descriptions as a useful set of activities, products, services, and materials.
    Use
You can use a service order template to reduce the workload involved in creating new business transactions (documents). You create templates for standard service processing tasks, for example. You can:
    ·        Copy templates to create new business transactions with the same object type
    ·        Include templates in an existing business transaction (such as service confirmation or product service letter)
    ·        Create a template as a follow-up document on the basis of an existing service order; business partner data is not transferred
You can copy a template only if it does not contain any errors, has the status is Released, and is currently valid.
The service order template can contain a large number of items and subitems. In the template, you can define a large number of values as attributes (conditions, price information, quantities, and so on). If you create a service order template on the basis of an existing service order, all the items that are not required for a general template, such as the sold-to party, are omitted.
The service order template describes only the scope of services of the planned activities and not the actual execution (when and for whom).
    Structure
A service order template has the same data structure as the associated operative business transaction, that is, it consists of a header and items (and subitems) with a large number of sets and enhancements that are valid for the business transaction.
In a service order template, you cannot store any information about the sold-to party. For this reason, not all the functions of the service order transaction are available. You can enter information about the sold-to party in the relevant business transaction.
Three different views of the service order template are available:
    Fast Entry view
In the Header Data view, you enter data that is valid for the entire transaction. The top screen area contains the transaction ID, the transaction description, and a pushbutton for changing the status. In the bottom screen area, you can enter an item. You define additional items in the Item Details view.
    Item Details view
In the Item Details view, you can enter additional items on various tab pages (Overview, Services, and so on). On the tab pages in the bottom screen area, you maintain detailed information about the individual items, such as statuses and prices.
    Transaction Data view
In the Transaction Data view, you enter detailed information about the header data, such as organizational data, actions, and partner data.
    Example
    -          A service order template is to describe the standard maintenance procedure for a vehicle of a specific type. The catalog for the standard maintenance procedure includes services (filter replacement, oil change, engine check) and materials (1 filter, 12.5 liters of oil).
    -          You use a service order template to plan a recall for a specific automotive category. The catalog for the recall contains the following activities: scheduled appointments with customer, repairs, confirmation to car manufacturer, and invoice for car manufacturer.
    -          An Engine Replacement service order template already exists. When planning a repair in detail, you have to arrange for the engine to be replaced. You include the Engine Replacement order template in the existing service process (in this case, a repair service order). The system then copies the items from the order template to the service process.
Hope this is usefull for your requirement
    cheers
    davy

  • Initiate BOMMAT01 IDOC Creation / Send

    Hello Experts,
I have a listener setup in MII, and can successfully receive and process BOMMAT01 IDOCS initiated from ECC using BD30.
Is there a standard BAPI/RFC that can initiate sending a BOM for a plant/material?  I've been playing around with MASTER_IDOC_CREATE_BOMMAT, and it appears to be doing something, but no IDOC is received, and nothing showing in SM58 logs.
--A little additional detail.  I can see the created IDOC in WE09, and can initiate it being sent to MII from WE19.  So how do I trigger the IDOC to be sent when it is created?
Alternatively is there a BAPI/RFC that returns BOM information?  I'm only looking for component quantities, and scrap %.
    Thanks,
    Rod

    Hi Rod,
    Try this RFC:  CLOI_DOWNLOAD_TRIGGER_MDAT
There is also a folder of IDOC related transaction templates (12.0) in the MII wiki (Module Libraries) which can show you a little bit about how to use it.  It can replicate T-code POIM for downloading LOI master data as opposed to POIT which has LOI transactional data.  I do not remember if POIM does BOMMAT or LOIBOM or both.  Let me know if you figure it out and I can help you with setting up the IDOC trigger for it.
    Regards,
    Mike
