Transaction through BSP

Hi All,
Is it possible to call a transaction using BSP.
Pls let me know how it can be called.
Thanks
Kapil

Hi,
I tried the following approach without luck.. it worked only once and created short-dumps with subsequesnt calls.. may be Raja can add on to this..
Put the call transaction inside a custom function module.. make this function Remotely callable.. & in the BSP call this function with destination 'NONE'.
Good Luck,
Suresh Datti

  • Call Transaction by BSP

    I am facing a problem regarding a BDC for pa30 transaction ,for updating infotype 24.
    It is written through BSP application . When i create it's session through portal and run it through SM35 in the system ,It is perfectly working in 'forground' and 'error display only' mode.But by 'Call Transaction ' through portal directly it is not working .
    Even the session in SM35 gives me error when i run it in 'Background' mode.
    and the error is "Control Framework: Fatal error - GUI cannot be reached,Runtime error RAISE_EXCEPTION has occurred"
    Can any one suggest any solution so that it will work in portal by 'Call Transaction'?

    Hi Sachin,
    please read the following blog by Brian:
    BSP In-Depth: MESSAGE Statement Handling
    /people/mark.finnern/blog/2003/09/16/bsp-in-depth-message-statement-handling
    Most important is the part:
    "However, for BSP applications, no SAP GUI is available. Some types of messages are considered not important, and are silently ignored. Other messages result in exactly the above output. Effectively, an HTTP request is processed in a dark DYNP, and after the MESSAGE statement, the processing is stopped, and the text is converted into a small HTML page."

  • How to set Password change through BSP Application

    Hello All
    Before dropping my question i will explain you what was the Real scenario, i am using WAD 3.50 Version and server is BW 3.0B.we are not using portal, and Enduser will view the reports in the browser through the WAD execute Http link.
    Question.
    whenever the enduser uses Http link of web template in the browser, he will connect through VPN and they can able view the reports. the question is That Some system Enduser won't have SAPGUI in their system so they wants to change the password because they won't know even if it is expire. is it possble to set password change system through BSP Application in the WEB Templates
    Please Help me how to set Change Password in the browser for the WAD Application.

    right now when the user calls the BW report url , he is prompted for authentication via pop up right?
    to enable password change option in the log on screen use system logon for BEX service in sicf.
    go to transaction SICF and navigate to sap/bw/bex
    double click on node Bex.
    in the resulting window, go to error pages tab and under that in log on errors tab choose "System log on radiobutton" save and now try calling a webtemplte.

  • Transaction Through Web Report ?

    Hi All,
    Is there any way to call a particular transaction from a Web Template.
    I think it can be achieved using BSP.
    But is there any other way to do this.
    Thanks
    Kapil

    you wil dfinitely need ITS to show any transaction. a BSP Page is similar to any ASp screen. it can be used to enter comments etc but you will need ITS for the same. You will not need an ITS for a BSP but you cannot call a transaction.
    also what transaction is being referred to , if it is a simple user created transaction , then you can do it through BSP if possible.

  • Call Transaction Through RFC

    Hi ,
    I am trying to do a call transaction through RFC call from a Middleware which is a CPIC user (only communication Non dialog User ) .
    Call  transaction does gets executed without any error but it does not update any data.But when I run it through my user id it works absolutely fine .
    I am not sure what is causing the issue
    Security authorization?
    RFC through Non Dialog user ?
    Paramters missing in RFC  ?
    Paramatertes missing in call transaction option?
    If anyone of you has faced a similiar issue then please let me know the path forward.
    Thanks
    Vikas

    Hi Vikas,
        The problem is in Authorization? And check the mode of Process Synchoronus or asynchoronous? Both the RFC and CALL transaction should be Same /

  • Why Does Replication requires db restart to get transactions through

    I am having problems with the deferred tranasactions. There were about 44,000 in the queue before. The dbms job was broken so I ran it and it was able to push half the tranactions from the 44,000 through.
    However, only half. I am manually pushing the transactions through using OEM. But they do not seem to go through. Any ideas as to why they do not go through. Any alternatives to get all the deferred tranactions to being pushed?
    Oracle 9.2.0.1 on W2k Svr.
    The deferred tranaction queue had then incresed in size to 53,000 tranactions to be applied. I ran this query today, and get the following result.
    SQL> SELECT SID, r.JOB, LOG_USER, r.THIS_DATE, r.THIS_SEC
    2 FROM DBA_JOBS_RUNNING r, DBA_JOBS j
    3 WHERE r.JOB = j.JOB;
    SID JOB LOG_USER THIS_DATE THIS_SEC
    54 8 REPADMIN 15-OCT-06 17:24:52
    SQL>
    Any ideas as to what to do with this information. I ran the query several times within an hour, but the ame result...any sggestions as to how to apply all the tranactions in teh deferred tranaction queue sucessfully across?
    I executed the dbms jobs (which were broken) on all sites so that the DTQ empties. This was sucessfull on two of thethree master sites. However, on one of the master sites, it was only able to push half of the tranactions to one other site. This is what I am trying to resolve.
    I try to manually push these transactiosn form OEM, but they do not seem to go through. Is there a way I could find wher the errors lay? I have checked all the alert logs and the trace files but no major errors.
    W2K Ad Svr, Oracle 9i Release 2. and three Multimaster sites.
    I even ran the following script, it executes, but does not push it through.
    declare rc binary_integer; begin rc := sys.dbms_defer_sys.push(destination=>'DESTHOST.DOMAIN', stop_on_error=>FALSE, delay_seconds=>0, parallelism=>0); end;
    Once again...in our Oracle 9.2.0.1 multimaster replication environmment on Windows 2000 server system containing three master sites is giving strange errors.
    The transactions within defferred transaction queue at one of the sites are not being pushed at the other site. Last month, it was the other way around.
    In the trace files, we can see that there are TNS connect error to the other master sites. However as soon as we restart the particular server, the transactions are pushed through.
    This environment was working fine before and we were wondering as to what could be causing these errors all of a sudden.
    These are only the transactions from the Deferrerd Transaction Queue which are yet to be applied to the other site. The error queue is quite constant and we are not facing much problems there.
    In the trace files the errors are:
    ORA-12012: error on auto execute of job 78
    ORA-23324: error ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out, while creating deferror entry at "globaldbname" with error -12535

  • Calling SAP Transaction from BSP

    I wonder whether it is possible to call SAP transaction from BSP application and pass to it some data; e.g., PO# when calling VA02?
    The called transaction could appear in a separate MS IE Window (like in some Portal applications) or in SAP GUI.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you in advance

    I have launched the Java SAPGui from BSP pages before.  I used SNC so that the users were logged on via Single Sign On.  I store the Java Gui in the Mime directory.  You can force the startup transaction.  Theorectically you could also Gui Scripting to try and control the Gui and force in the default value for your PO field.  I have not tried that however.  You will probably want to check the Service Marketplace for documents on the Gui Scripting.  The following is the code from my BSP page to launch the Java Gui in the Browser as an applet:

    Hello,
    check out this coding in a new bsp page and give it a try in your system landscape. It creates an sap short cut file with the .sap extension writes dynamically to the server cache and get the url back.

  • What type of license should the user be assigned when passing transactions through the DI Server?

    What type of license should the user be assigned when passing transactions through the DI Server?
    We used to assign indirect access licenses to users that were just using the DI Server.  We have one add-on developer that says that the user has to be a Profession license. Current environment is SAP B1 9.0 PL10.  My understanding was that you could have up to 10 users assigned to a single DI Server license.

    Hi,
    From the license guide,
    Indirect Access – has access to any SSP solutions (developed with the SAP Business One DI-API) only. The Indirect Access license is bundled with the DI server. Users who have an Indirect Access license can access a limited number of application forms, but cannot perform any functions with the SAP Business One application. Users who have an Indirect Access license can access an unlimited number of SSP solutions

  • Passing variable as an input parametere to a transaction through an url;

    hi ,
    I am calling a transaction through an url into which i want to pass the input parametere to the transaction as an variable; my question is
    is it possible? if yes then how?

    Hi Diana ,Thanks for taking intrest in my question . I hav already gone through that link which you have given, what my question is that,
    consider this ex. given below
    Transaction=Test/YieldCalc&YieldFactor=10.0&OutputParameter=YieldAverage.
    in the above call i am passing 10.0  as input to the parameter YieldFactor .
    what i want to do is to store this value of 10.0 in a variable and then pass this variable to the parameter YieldFactor,
    say,
    var xxx=10.0;
    Transaction=Test/YieldCalc&YieldFactor="xxx"&OutputParameter=YieldAverage.
    I have tried like this but it  didnt worked.
    is it possible ?
    how?

  • Uploading File into SAP Transaction using BSP

    Hi Everybody,
    I would like to know how to save the file into SAP Transaction thro BSP. I have one requirement,For example,the captured file from the web should be attached into the Equipment master (Transaction Code IE02).Its possible via SAP GUI.But i would like to know how it can be done from BSP.The same example applicable to sales order also..
    Also i wondering where these files get stored.
    Anybody could help me out of this issue please?...
    Naga Bokkisam

    You can do that using BDS..But you need to find the Business object to store it under Equipment Master or Sales order.
    Here is the example where i stored the document under Warranty process, ie sub set of Equipment master:
    Here BUS2222 is business object for Warranty Process:
      CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
        EXPORTING
          BUFFER                = STR_FILE_CONTENT
        TABLES
          BINARY_TAB            = I_FILE_CONTENT.
      CALL FUNCTION 'BDS_BUSINESSDOCUMENT_CREA_TAB'
        EXPORTING
          CLASSNAME             = 'BUS2222' "classname_select
          CLASSTYPE             = 'BO'" classtype_select
        CLIENT                = SY-MANDT
          OBJECT_KEY            = OBJECT_KEY
        BINARY_FLAG           = 'X'
        TABLES
          SIGNATURE             = I_SIGNATURE
          COMPONENTS            = I_COMPONENTS
        CONTENT               = I_FILE_CONTENT
    EXCEPTIONS
       NOTHING_FOUND         = 1
       PARAMETER_ERROR       = 2
       NOT_ALLOWED           = 3
       ERROR_KPRO            = 4
       INTERNAL_ERROR        = 5
       NOT_AUTHORIZED        = 6
       OTHERS                = 7     .
    Let me know if you need any detail..
