Transaction USMD_SSW_RULE --- start on wrong server
Hello,
when i run transaction USMD_SSW_RULE, then the browser starts with the following link:
http://bcrsap30................../webdynpro/sap/usmd_ssw_rule?sap-language=EN
but this is the wrong server. The right server is wisap108.
Where can i change this for transaction USMD_SSW_RULE??
Thanks
Toni
Hi,
could be a DNS or Proxy issue - nothing you can control in MDG customizing.
The SICF service is called as well USMD_SSW_RULE.
But if the USMD_CREQUEST service also goes to the wrong server there is definitely something wrong with the basic communication settings of the whole system and nothing specific to the BRF+ service. So your basis team / IT should be able to find some redirection entries ...
BTW - you find a list of all relevant services for MDG to be activate in SICF in the online documentation - e.g. here: Services to be Activated for MDG Web Dynpro Applications - SAP Master Data Governance - SAP Library

Hi
I am unable to start the Managed server on OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 , as it is giving the following exception
"[bi_server1] [NOTIFICATION] [] [oracle.wsm.security.policy.scenario.executor.SecurityScenarioExecutor] [tid: RTD_Worker_9] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: 0000JxpZwaCDkZ__xPWByW1Hm1HW000001,1:23440] [APP: OracleRTD#11.1.1] [WSM_POLICY_NAME: oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy] Recipient Alias property not configured in the policy. Defaulting to encrypting with signers certificate.
Here I am providing the bi_server1.log, bi_server1.out log,bi_server1-diagnostic.log
Please suggest me workaround to resolve this issue,
thanks in advance

Error while starting the app server instance
Hi,
When I am starting the stand-alone instance on app sever, i am getting the following error:
An error has occurred.
Operation 'start' failed in 'server' Config Mbean. Target exception message: The node agent could not start instance imgr. It is starting and must be stopped.
Could you please tell what might be wrong.
Regards.I got this same error and it turned out to be because one of the developers had changed the line AS_JAVA="/usr/jdk/entsys-j2se" in /opt/sun/appserver/config/asenv.conf
to point to a 1.4.2_10 jre. (/usr/jdk/entsys-j2se was a symlink to /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_04/)
I changed it to an installation of 1.4.2_09 sdk that we had previously installed on their and everything worked fine.
I don't know whether it was because it pointed to a jre as opposed to an sdk or whether the jre was incorrectly installed. (it's a much around box, so everyone's allowed to do pretty much whatever they want to it)
Hope this helps,
Adam -
Error while starting the content server
Hi,
I have installed UCM and when i start the content server, it says it was succesful but logs show the below error.
Unable to publish the schema. Published schema directory could not be swapped into its proper location. [ Details ]
An error has occurred. The stack trace below shows more information.
!csSchemaUnableToPublish!csSchemaFailedToMovePublishedFilesIntoPlace
intradoc.common.ServiceException: !csSchemaFailedToMovePublishedFilesIntoPlace
at intradoc.server.schema.StandardSchemaPublisher.doPublishing(StandardSchemaPublisher.java:349)
at intradoc.server.schema.StandardSchemaPublisherThread.run(StandardSchemaPublisherThread.java:252)
ANy idea wats going on.
I have done the required changes in the confd of the webserver, Content server is accessible from the webpage. I am also able to login as sysadmin.
Not sure wats going wrong.
ThanksYou can sometimes get issues on the file system with file locking occurring and so UCM can not clear up/move the schema files properly.
It may not be this but...There should me a metalink note about this deleting schema directories.

I am the only user for my PC and, i have even tried runnig the server in admin mode as you suggested. rightclick on startWebLogic.cmd and run as administrator
If the procedure is wrong, please suggest another way.
I have another problem in addition to this. The model project is not being saved to the harddrive. If i create stuff in the model project it only lasts till i close the JDev, once i open it again, everything is lost. -
OSB: problem when starting a managed server in an OSB cluster
Hi,
I used the configuration wizard to setup a very simple domain, containing a cluster with a managed server. When I start the managed server from the console I get prompted for the boot user and password. I specify the values I defined during the installation (weblogic user and custom passwort). After some time the managed server exists with the following exception:
####<21.04.2010 19.25 Uhr CEST> <Critical> <WebLogicServer> <DEMUC10525> <ManagedServer1> <main> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1271870735741> <BEA-000386> <Server subsystem failed. Reason: weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException: Authentication for user weblogic denied

at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.execute(ExecuteThread.java:201)
at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:173)
What is its problem and how do I fix it? I have not configured anything special in the domain - just the cluster, a single machine and the managed server and admin server targeted at this machine.
The admin server starts without these problems. I also tried copying the boot.properties from the admin server to the managed server without any success - the same problem.

Dimo
Edited by: dimo velev on 21.04.2010 11:24Hi Anuj,
it turned out to be an OSB related problem - WLS forum would not have been able to help.
The startManagedWebLogic script should be run only within an environment which has been correctly setup using the domain setDomainEnv script. This seems to add some classpaths and stuff like this which, if missing, produces the exception - it actually has absolutely nothing to do with the user and password being wrong.
If you are using a node manager to start the managed servers then it should also be run within an evironment correctly setup with the domain's setDomainEnv script.
Best regards

ABAP Trial version u2013 starting the application server
Hi,
I have a problem starting the application server via the management console. After choosing action ->start I have to enter user and password. Do I have to create a new user password combination, use the OS password or try bcuser and minisap? None of these three options worked out. I always get the message 'Start failed: 2 Invalid Credentials'. Or went there something wrong during the installation?
Thanks for your help.
BirgitHey Birgit,
In my case I installed ABAP Trial version (also known as MiniSap) on my local machine (Windows).
When I turn on the machine, my Windows(OS) requires a User/Password (It was configured this way but it is possible you configure to not require a User/Password, it uses a default).
When I instaled the ABAP Trial version, I logged on with a User/Password with administrator rights (it is necessary for installation).
When, in the "Management Console", I start the ABAP (the "NSP" node), it asks me the user and password and I use the OS User/Password that I used to install ABAP Trial (above).
If you are doing the same I don't know why the message "Start failed: 2 Invalid Credentials".
Merry Christmas,

Error starting Workshop example server
Hi,
I am currently experiencing a problem starting the WL 7.0 example server for the
Workshop examples. This actually come with the installation of WL Platform 7.0.
I got "Corrupt Transaction @ 254177" at the DOS prompt and in the enclosed wl-domain.log
file it mentioned that it's unable to create socket for the port. I used netstat
and check that there's no conflict.
I was able to start it up many times until I started to follow the WLW tutorial
and added new project into the example domain. But recently I can no longer be
able to start the server again. I can start other servers no problem, but only
the sample server.
It sound strange that it works before but now it doesn't.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance,
Alex Ng
[wl-domain.log]Well, I tested it
java -version and it shows :
1.7.0_25
Java HotSpot 64 bit Server VM
--> So I guess the problem is I don't seem to have the jrockit.
I donwloaded it (Rel 28.7) and installed it. During installation it says "for JDK 1.6.0_45"
Anyway. I let it install anyway and I modified the PATH to point to the Jrockit bin directory. Then run java -version and it now shows JDK 1.6.0_45 and jvm as rockit
Now I tried to start the weblogic server and I get the same error. it still uses the JDK 1.7
So.. again.. is this supported with JDK 7 ?
How can I fix it now that I installed everything using the JDK 7?
Thanks -

MQSeries as a Transactional Resource Manager with Weblogic Server
I am trying to setup the example given in the BEA white paper:
Using MQSeries as a Transactional Resource Manager with Weblogic Server.
Version 1.
October 25, 2001.
I followed the instructions given in the documents, but when i run client program
>java MQClient t3://localhost:7001 "MQSeries test"
I received the following exception below. Does anyone how what is the reason for
this exception(s) and how i can solve the problem? My MQSeries Server and Weblogic
6.1 sp2 are installed on seperate NT machines. I installed the MQSeries classes
for java and the MQSeries classes for Java Message Service on the weblogic
server machine.

InDesignServer Service not starting on Windows Server 2003 (32bit & 64 bit)
Note: this issue is different from this thread on a similar issue.
This problem has plagued me for weeks and I finally give up. InDesign Server installs successfully and the InDesignServerService starts, but the server does not run. I can only run the server from the command line. I've followed these installation instructions but run into the following problems:
1. installing by the command line: InDesignServerService /install fails and produces the following error log:
Installing service InDesignServerService...
Creating EventLog source InDesignServerService in log Application...
Rolling back assembly 'E:\Program Files\Adobe InDesign CS4 Server\InDesignServerService.exe'.
Affected parameters are:
logtoconsole =
assemblypath = E:\Program Files\Adobe InDesign CS4 Server\InDesignServerService.exe
logfile = E:\Program Files\Adobe InDesign CS4 Server\InDesignServerService.InstallLog
Restoring event log to previous state for source InDesignServerService.
2. I cannot install or load the snap-in to MMC. When I try to install regsvr32 InDesignServerMMC.dll it cannot be found (as it's not in the InDesign Server directory). However InDesignServerMMC64.dll is in there and I was able to load the snap-in using regsvr32 InDesignServerMMC.dll, but the server still only runs when being started from the command line.
As I mentioned, InDesign Server runs fine when I have an active command line window open and run InDesignServer, but the moment I close the command line window, the server shuts down. Any ideas?Well, when you run it using command line if you close the command line, of course that servers going to shutdown. So, if you wanna run without any extra window opened, you have to start your service. Go to the windows service window (administrative tools) and start the service (it's installed automatically).
Is your O.S. 32 or 64 bits? If it's 32 you install the wrong application, you have to install the compatible version with your O.S.
If you installed correctly, you can try up the service using the follow command in you prompt.
net start InDesignServerService (in this case you can close window when successefull menssages appear)

Web Application Transaction Monitoring Alerts with "wrong" Path
Hello,
i have created some web transaction monitors, such as
http://foo.htm who is hosted on the server foo123.cologne.org.
It works.. but
we have also a mssql monitoring, the discovery of the mssql management pack discovers the reporting part of mssql server on our managementserver Operations12.cologne.org. So (it's right..) the server Operations12.cologne.org is a member of the SQL Instances;SQL
Compontents;SQL Computers group.
When the web transaction monitor generates an alert, it have the pathname Operations12.cologne.org and not the pathname of the "right" server foo123.cologne.org.
For our mssql admins i have build an email-notification, when somethings going wrong at our sql servers (member of the SQL Instances;SQL Compontents;SQL Computers group) they received a mail.
The problem is, that they received a mail, when a web transaction monitor generated one, because the pathname is the name of our management server, because the management server is a member of thos sql server groups.
Someone have an idea to fix my "problem"?
- Best way: changing the path names of the web transaction monitorings... but how? i can't find anything to change..
Kind regards
Wolfgang WinterThank you, it's a help to decide, what to do, so i have to solutions:
- installing an agent to the web-appliction-hosting-server and configure it as a watcher node
(may be i will have problems with our firewall admins, because they have to allow the communications and.. when the hosting watcher is down, i have no alerts.. when i use more than one watcher nodes (good).. i have the wrong path names..
- configure a part of our management server group without SQL-Reporter Component as a watcher node
(more easy, because i have to tell my firewall admins: "the server foo456 is the standard watcher node"
Crazy.. because i don't know, how to assign the web transaction monitors to the "causing" server.., for mail notification and for our integration to HP Service Desk... -
Problems starting the http server
I have problems starting 9ias http server. I issue:
/u09/ora9ias/infra/opmn/bin> opmnctl startall
opmnctl: starting opmn and all managed processes...
Request partial success -- 1 of 4 processes started.
and the HTTP server does not start.
If I go to the enterprise manager, the only service started is Single Sign On.
If I try to enter to the HTTP server it gives me the following error:
An error was encountered while loading page. Failed to initialize configuration management user session.. Repository access failed Root Cause: Password could not be retrieved. Password could not be retrieved
The iasdb is already started and working.
Any clues what can be going wrong??
help is greatly appreciated.Jorge, I suspect you've already fixed this problem. But if not, I have a standard operating procedure for this. Here's the gist of it, let me know if you need more detail.
1. shutdown the opmn layer (opmnctl stopall)
2. determine if the httpd.pid file exists (it's in the Apache/logs directory on linux)
3. delete the .pid file if it's there
4. if not, or if there's still a problem, tail the error_log for info
5. try to start the httpd (dcmctl start -ct ohs)
6. still a problem? ps -auxw | grep httpd
7. kill off the process(es)
8. try again to start up with dcmctl command in step 5
I can usually get it going at this point. If not, I have to do a reboot, which has always worked. Don't forget to shutdown the emctl and webcachectl if you're rebooting.
Hopefully this helps. It took a lot of learn-as-you-go for us to get this procedure. I'm sure the pros will role their eyes! :-) -
Issue while starting of jetty server
hi all,
i'm not sure whether this is relevant forum or not, if not, plz let me know where i can move this topic
i'm deploying a war file using a jetty server. while starting of the server i get the following error
WARN!! No thread for com.sterlingcommerce.woodstock.services.pshttp.jetty.ConduitStreamListener$1@d7a281
this is not a jetty code, but i create a runnable object and calls
public void run(Object job) throws InterruptedException //method of
ThreadPool class of jetty(package org.mortbay.util)
there it tries to do the following:
try
PoolThread thread=(PoolThread)_pool.get(getMaxIdleTimeMs());
if(thread!=null)
thread.run(this,job);
else
Code.warning("No thread for "+job); //here the issue is coming
stopJob(null,job);
this is coming becuause, PoolThread object is null, i went through the code, where they have their logic of handling the threads, but not able to see where it can go wrong..
any idea or
anyone who has faced this issue earlier,
please reply.Hi Steve,
the system "PATH" variable holds these values:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_45\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_45\jre\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_45\jre\bin\server;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_45\jre\lib
The system "CLASSPATH" variable holds these values:
CLASSPATH = .;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\lib\ext\QTJava.zip;
Still, at run time, in the error message, it refers to the classpath as follows:
;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\lib\ext\QTJava.zip;.\Java\Agentry-v5.jar
my Agentry.ini file looks as below; the Java-2 section was added automatically when I published the custom application on the agentry server.

When you choose to export your sequence, the name of the file you are about to save is of course taking the name of the sequence. But sometimes the last or two last letters disappears and you get i.e. Bea#166B99B at the end. Let's say in this case th
