Transfer activation

I am updating hardware to a new desktop and want to transfer my Adobe Acrobat software, but when I try to transfer activation in the software, it says the server is not available. Is there anywhere on the adobe website that I can do this transfer of activation?

1. You CANNOT activate what you have installed; the activation server is switched off. However, you can download a replacement product and serial from here if you are a registered user: Error: Activation Server Unavailable | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3 . But read on.
2. Your product MIGHT install on Windows 8.1; it was never tested. However, it cannot be complete. In particular, on 64-bit systems (your surely is) the Acrobat 7 PDF printer driver cannot work. This is used for most (not all) kinds of PDF creation, but isn't involved in editing.
3. There is no reduced price upgrade path (that boat sailed years ago). Acrobat 11 (called XI) is available for full price purchase, or for monthly or annual subscription.

Hard Drive damaged, error trying to Transfer Activation for CS2

The hard drive on my laptop is performing erratically and CHKDSK can't fix it, so it's time for a new drive. In preparation for the new drive, I tried to transfer activation of Photoshop CS2. I get the following error dialogue box message:
"The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Activation\en_US\almuirsc.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."
The only choice for this box is to click the OK button. When I do, I get the following message:
"Sorry, a serious error has been detected. To continue using Adobe Photoshop, please reinstall the appliation."
Any thoughts on what to do? Perhaps try re-installing and hoping that I can then use the Transfer Activation feature properly?

I wouldn't even worry about it. Get the new drive, install CS2 and try
to activate it. If it's denied call Adobe and explain the crashed drive.
They'll get you running again.

Transfer activation of CS2 from XP pc to WIN7 pc fails

So frustrating, no I am not going to upgrade..
I had to get a new computer.. this one is WIN7 which I hate, the old was XPpro.
Everytime I start Photoshop CS2 it displays the register popup. I try and it fails, registration server offine.
I did some research here and see I should be transferring the activation from the XP pc to the WIN7pc so I click click and that also fails

Error code 5:12029
activation server not available
OPTIONS:
     retry (fails)
     try again (been there done that same response)
     call customer service, I did..
that was an almost 105 minute call resolving squat except to tell me I either need to upgrade to CS5 for $199 or to buy yet another computer and another XP license for who know how many $$$ neither of which is going to happen in my world right now.
Reading in here a bit it looks like there is a file somewhere on the XP box I can move to the WIN7 box that might resolve the need to register/activate/transfer activation every time I start up CS2 ??
BTW, after I click cancel on the please register popup, the program runs flawlessly.. its just such a pain to go through that every day.. a small thing, but welcome to my world, those little nonsense things drive me batty

So more information, I thought I had it licked.. found info that said to delete the DAT file in the Program Licenses folder, did that and it prompted me to register, I called for a phone activation, went through that successfull YEAH.. but short lived.. closed and restarted CS2 and once again the please register popup is there..

How do I transfer activation for CS2

I wish to transfer activation for CS2 and CS4 from a old machines to new ones. I keep getting a transfer server error that the server is not available. What do I do?

All you need to do is deactivate (check mark remove serial number) and uninstall if you are going to give the computer away.

That doesn't make sense, if you have the original install disc, you need not and should not transfer anything. You insert the disc in your new computer and run the install.
If you mean to tell me you do not have the install disc, then click on the link for a trial CS4 installer, download it to your new PC, enter the serial number and activate.

I hope I'm just overlooking something.
I want to transfer activation of CS2 standard to another mac.
When I launch InDesign, go to Help>Transfer Activation the command is dimmed and cannot be selected.
How do I undim it? The CS2 product was correctly activated and has been in use for over a year.

That could be it. I believe it a group license.
I will proceed with the installation on the other Mac, see if any hiccups occur.

Error code when trying to transfer activation

I'm trying to de-activate the license of my Creative Suite Premium on my iMac G5 on Leopard but it fails to do so. I'm getting an error code called 160:18. Can anyone tell me what this could mean and what I could do to solve that problem ?

This error indicate that there was some problem with the send/receive for the transfer license. Please have a word with the customer support on this one.

Can't deactivate to transfer - "activation requires administrative rights"

System info:
Late 2009 21.5" iMac w/8GB RAM running Windows 7 Ultimate (x86. x64 wouldn't install Acrobat PDF Printer so is pretty useless) on Bootcamp
I need to deactivate Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 (Windows) so i can re-install it elsewhere but just this morning it's started acting up - as soon as i open Acrobat i get a pop-up saying:
"Adobe Activation:
Activation requires that you have administrative rights on this computer.
Please log in as as administrator and try again, or contact you system administrator"
I've never had a problem before with this. I've tried logging in as the domain admin but still the message appears. It won't let me access anything at all in Acrobat except to click OK, on which Acrobat closes. I've just run a disk check as an Adobe support document suggested but no-go.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Phone support is a lost cause. God knows how long i was on hold yesterday morning. Tried Live Chat support again, got through to a different and very helpful chap who told me that my Acrobat 7 Professional serial number was already deactivated and i could go ahead and install it elsewhere. God knows how it managed to deactivate itself but i don't really care, having fretted over this issue for the best part of a working day. Happy camper.

Activation Transfer?

I got this message while trying to uninstall CS2 so that I may install CS5.
You see, I am a homeschooler and my mom is the homeschooling teacher, she got me CS5 for my Christmas present this year. Because I was done with my older software, I decided to give it to my older sister (also a homeschooler). I had CS2 installed then a CS3 upgrade, from what we have been told years ago, we needed to install it like that CS2 then CS3 on top because it was an upgrade. Since we were installing CS5 from scratch (not upgrading upon CS2), we had to uninstall the previous versions of Creative Suite. So I was doing that until I got this message while uninstalling. I don't want to ruin my sister's chance of being able to install it on her computer.
We wanted to install it before Christmas so that if we ran into any problems we could call the tech support number. When we got this massage we called but then they told us we had to come here for help. If anyone can, that would be great. Thanks.

There is no need to uninstall earlier versions. I don't know where you got that idea from but it's totally false.
The only thing that will happen when you hit the transfer activation button is that it will reset the activation counter on Adobe's servers. Further, since it was used to upgrade to CS3 make sure to deactivate CS3 and simply install that. Since it was an upgrade, you'll need to have the CS2 disks and serial number handy.

In adobe 7 you can click on help and than transfer
activation. In adobe 8 there is nothing that says transfer
activation. How do u transfer activation in adobe 8?????

Photoshop CS2 un-installed and re-installed without de-activavtion. Activation window refuses to procede.

? Photoshop CS2 on Windows Vista. On start-up PS refuses access. Decided to un-install and re-install, unfortunately not thinking of de-activation. Now, on start-up, window offers registration which always fails. I am not offered help>de-activation, or help>transfer activation. Help>Adobe Forum!

Did you use the right serial number? The windows download is 348MB the Mac download is 441MB If your was 380MB there may be a problem with what you downloaded... If you can not get it to install you may have to contact Adobe customer Support. However CS2 is no longer suppoorted.

Running Activate Database Views activity in parallel in TDMS 4.0

We are running TDMS4.0 and as we need to hasten the process, we would like to ask if the activity ACTIVATION OF DATABASE VIEWS can run in parallel with activity DATA SELECTION START FOR TDMS HEADER TABLE? In the guided procedure, the ACTIVATION OF DATABASE VIEWS is dependent on the completion of DATA DELETION START IN RECEIVER SYSTEMS (which is already completed as per screenshot)
As per searching other KBA's database views are activated that may be de-activated after drop of tables in the receiver system. Which was why the prerequisite of this is completion of DATA DELETION START IN RECEIVER SYSTEMS.
Thus, we would like to know if the activity ACTIVATION OF DATABASE VIEWS can run in parallel with activity DATA SELECTION START FOR TDMS HEADER TABLE? Kindly see screenshot

Hello Meinard,
Yes, you can start activity "Activation of data base views" in parallel to activity "Data selection start for TDMS header tables". Once activation of database views is completed you can start "Data Transfer" activity.

Data transfer position for candidate

Hi Experts,
We are implementing ECC 6, E Recruiting. When we do data transfer activity for a candidate then we want to pull the position on which data transfer activity was done for candidate in a Z Report.
Can any one tell me in which info type position is stored for a candidate at which data transfer activity is done or it is not stored at all any where in data base.

Forecast Transfer to R/3 in Daily/Weekly buckets

Hi,
We have 2 planning areas in DP - Weekly and daily planning area. For the first 3 weeks, the forecast will be transferred to R/3 in daily buckets and for the remaining 2 weeks, the forecast will be transferred in weekly buckets. I have created 2 separate transfer profiles - one for daily transfer from the daily planning book and another one for weekly transfer from weekly planning book. When I run the forecast transfer from the daily planning book for the first 3 weeks, the forecast gets successfully transferred to R/3 Demand management. But, when I run the forecast transfer from the weekly planning book for Weeks 4 & 5, the forecast gets released successfully although it overwrites the previous forecast in daily buckets. Please bear in mind that the time periods for daily and weekly transfer are different. The same thing happens if I run the weekly transfer first and then do the daily transfer. For another location, we release the forecast to SNP in the same way and it works fine. Does anyone has any clues about this situation? Thanks.

Time bucket profile: 21 days
Transfer profile: Daily Transfer profile (Released to active version A)

Job: Daily Transfer Job (based on planing book2 and data view2)
Planning book1: Background Weekly Planning book
Dataview1: Weekly Forecast Transfer View (Offset field is set to 3 so that forecast could be transferred to weeks 4 & 5.
Time bucket profile: 2Weeks
Transfer profile: Weekly Transfer profile (Released to active version A)
Activity: Weekly Transfer Activity
Job:Weekly Transfer Job ( based on planing book1 and data view1)
Yes, I am transferring both the daily and weekly forecast to the same active version, but different time horizons. So, in order to do this, do I need to transfer to 2 different active versions. If this is the case, can DRP be able to use forecast from 2 active versions?
