Transfer Apple TV configuration

I need to configure about 20 Apple TVs as Conference Room Display (ONLY).  The setup requires restrictions; strip down all the channels, change in Purchase & Rentals and, other setting. Very time consuming.
Is it possible to transfer the configuration of an Apple TV to another one? Can I use Apple configurator for this? Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Mauro

Not by it self.  I do remember hearing about an app for sys admins to use to mass configure and admin iOS devices and ATV.   Sorry I do not remember the name of it.  And it required programing to use.

You don't transfer Apple ID's from one device to another one. You sign out in the settings, )the App Store and iTunes if necessary) and then sign in with the other ID.
Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Apple ID>Sign out. Them sign in with the other ID. You can sign out of the app store and iTunes as well by going to the featured Atab in the App Store and the music tab in iTunes, swipe to the bottom and access the Apple ID in there.
You should have erased the iOad before you gave it to her in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. That way she could set up the iPad as new with her own Apple ID.
Be aware of the fact that if you use each others ID's in order to download past purchased content to your own iPads, you will lock yourself out of your own ID as you will have associated your iPad with the other person's Apple ID.
In other words, if you sign into your wife's ID on your iPad so that you can download an app or an album so that you don't have to pay for it again, you will lock yourself out of your Apple ID for 90 days.

  • Transfer Apple TV content to computer

I had a hard drive crash on my computer. Is it possible to transfer Apple TV contents back to computer? Thanks

Welcome to the  Discussion Forums.
It is not possible to simply transfer content back from your tv. If your content is valuable (photos/home movies etc) you may be willing to void your warranty to 'break into' the tv so to speak. If you are at all unsure about how to go about this I'd suggest you go to a data recovery expert with experience in mac products.

  • Transfer Pricing Surcharge Configuration

Has anyone used the transfer price surcharge configuration within the cost component structure?  How does this work? How is the transfer price calculated if you have a cost component for transfer pricing.  I can find no documentation on this anywhere.

  • Want to Transfer Apple ID account

Apple has some serious issues related to the new required email address format for Apple IDs.  I recently experienced a very frustrating several hours trying to get a new iPad registered.  I have a existing non-email address Apple ID and that caused all sorts of confusion. Emails sent to me to verify changes contained an invalid link (actually no link at all).
I just had the same problem trying to submit this discussion as when I went to use my email Apple ID, it said there was a conflict and suggested going to the Apple ID Support site whcih is a rabbit hole that gets you no where.
Furthermore I understand that any apps and music I have under my old Apple ID are not accessible from my new Apple ID plus I can't transfer over any balance in my old Apple ID account.  I was told that I should use up that money on music which I have done.  This strikes me as a good way to generate more income for iTunes.  Plus I suspect I'll have to buy new apps under that new ID or they will never be updated.
I don't see why I can't transfer my $ balance and the items I have purchased from my old Apple ID account to the new one.  Please explain why that can't be done - especially if the primary email address is the same for both accounts.   I don't see any legal reasons why you can't do this in that case.
This is not the level of compatibility and support that I am used to from Apple.  What can we do to get Apple to address this problem that (according to this Forum) lots of people are struggling with???

Many, many, many people feel the very same way that you do. I am included among those that do not understand why two accounts cannot be combined or why there should be so much angst associated with changing an Apple ID without issues.
Nobody here knows why Apple will not allow the combining of two accounts or the carryover of a balance from an old account to a new one, but you can let your voice be heard here.

  • Can you transfer Apple Care from one device to another?

I bought a new iPod touch for my daughter on July 7th and it was stolen two days ago. If our insurance covers it - can I transfer the Apple Care to the replacement or will I have to buy a new Apple Care?
    Thanks!!

you shouldn't have to transfer the Apple Care because it is an insurance on the iPod
    No, it is not insurance.
and since it will cover stolen iPods
It does not cover replacement of a stolen iPod.
if should be transfered automatically because, also in theory, it is the same iPod.
There's no "theory" to it at all. It is the same iPod.
AppleCare is purchased for a specific iPod. The AppleCare stays with that iPod.

  • Intercompany Stock transfer for KMAT configurable material

    Hi All
I have a scenario in which we do intercompany sale of machines which is KMAT - configurable.
    company A & B ,
company B's customer raises a order...
this raises a order in Company A , and producion in A takes place , and material is created as sales order stock
This is then delivered and invoiced to PLANT_B which is a customer (but linked to plant B of company B)
Now I create S.O., MD02 , C040 , C015 and then MIGO to transfer to sales order stock.
I am assuming that the customer in inv. is PLANT_B which is customer linked to plant , so this should transfer the stock to plant B. and then we can go ahead and deliver and inv to end customer OF COMP B.
Now how do I transfer this stock from sales order in COMPANY A to Sales order in COMP B
Remember since this is a KMAT ocnfigurable material , and not a normal material.
    So the cycle is
    COMP B S.O -> COMPA S.O -> COMPA - PROD ORDER - > DELIVER COMPA -> INV COMPA -> DELIVER COMPB ->INV COMPB
    Please help.

    Hi,
First try to transfer the stock to unrestricted stocj of company B with the help of STO process. Once it goes to unrestricted stock of company B then move this stock to sales order stock of company B using movement type.

  • Which Apple MacPro configuration to purchase to speed up Lightroom & Photoshop CC?

As a photographer I use a number of "plugins" to Photoshop CC such as Nik Filters, Imagenomics Portraiture, OnOne Suite, and Portrait Professional and they run slow!  I also use Lightroom CC with these same plugins.
I'm considering upgrading my old (MacPro Early 2008) to the new MacPro with the following configuration:
    3.5GHz 6-core with 12MB of L3 cache
    32GB of 1866MHz DDR3
    1TB PCIe-based flash storage
Dual AMD FirePro D500 GPUs with 3GB of GDDR5 VRAM each
Any help on a new MacPro configuration would be very helpful!
    Thanks, Joel

If it were possible to remove one of the AMD GPUs, that would probably be a good choice, seeing that Photoshop and Lightroom do not make any use of it. Nor are all the cores optimally used in Photoshop, thus further limiting the 6-core MacPro.
The 27" iMac is faster than a MacPro in daily Photoshop tasks and general application use due to its 4ghz CPU (while the MacPro tops out at 3.5ghz):
But you would be stuck with a screen that is less than ideal for serious photo editing and design work (mirror, no wide gamut), and a slower SSD. And maxing out a 5K iMac will enter MacPro territory in terms of pricing - although you do get that 5k screen for "free".
You could always hook up a better screen, and use the one that is built-in as a second monitor for other uses.
It's too bad neither model offers the perfect configuration for a Photoshop workstation.
Another alternative is to build your own Hackintosh: it comes in at about half or two thirds the price as a MacPro, and delivers faster or equal performance. But you would have to invest some time and effort in it, and that solution is probably not the one you had in mind :-P
Btw, Apple Care is another couple of hundreds of dollars on top of your purchase - with all that soldered-on ram and other components being non-user serviceable, getting any Mac without Apple Care is a bad idea.

  • Apple TV configuration

I can not make configuration of date and time.

  • Transfer apple care warranty

hello: i purchased a new apple iPhone 6. bought the warranty plan. it was stolen while i was in florida. can i transfer the never used warranty from the stolen phone to the brand new replacement that i paid full retail for.

hi chris CA. you were very helpful. i hope to get the refund. when i initially called the apple support line, they told me to take the police report and apple care info to the store and they'd cover a new iPhone. When i got to the store, they told me i was out of luck. i paid close to $1,050 for a new phone. but didn't want to fiddle with the warranty having just lost all of my credit cards, photo ids. my dad bought the new phone online for me. the people at the millennia mall is orlando florida were totally nice and caring. it's just said cause when i got the warranty from apple, the store manager back home said it was better than verizon's. then my phone was stolen. sorry for the long THANK YOU CHRIS CA.

  • Transfer Apple Care Plan

I've been on pre-order for an iPad with Apple Care Plan since they Apple were accepting pre-orders in Australia but still haven't received my iPad (it is still showing as Ships by 7 June). I've received the Care Plan (???) but no iPad and now have the opportunity to purchase one from a reseller tomorrow.
So before I make the decision, I want to know if I cancel my pre-order for the iPad with Apple and go with the reseller option, can I transfer the Care Plan across to the model I actually purchase?

    arcanedevice,
You could attempt to contact Apple - Support - Contacting Apple Support and Customer Service - Phone Contacts using the number listed for Australia.
Another helpful link may be Apple - Support - AppleCare.
    Cheers.

  • How to Transfer apple mail data to windows outlook 2013

Looking for a solution that will help me transfer all my data, from emails to address book and contacts from apple mail to outlook 2013 in windows system.
I have gone through Imap way of email, but there are some few thousand emails stored as archive and are not available on server. And via Imap I cannot export my contacts and address book. So how can I transfer all the data from mac to windows outlook 2013.
    Please help.

If both system are using the IMAP mail provider all you have to do is setup the connection to the mail server and all the emails and folders will be copied down to the windows computer. That is what IMAP is for. The mail stays on the server, and can be store on the local computer also, and when you connect to the server with another device, computer, phone or pad, all the mail with folders gets copied to the other device.
But I think some of your mail was gotten using POP so it is not longer on the server.
Or you have emails in local folder only and they would be on the server. But you can create folder on the server in one mail program, or on the mail web interface and then copy those emails into those folder on the server byt copying them in one of the email programs. Then when you log on with the other device all of them will be downloaded to the other device.
    Other alternative:-
You can find various solutions on having a google search for your problem.
Or you can have a look at the following link: Apple mail to Outlook Windows
    Hope this will help.
    Thank you
