Transfer bookmarks from Chrome to Safari

How to transfer the bookmarks from Chrome to Safari? I know that Chrome can export the whole bookmarks folders as a html file. I do not know how to import this file into Safari.

The bookmarks would have been in her home folder in Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist, so try copying that file into the same location on the new system.

i just downloaded firefox and it wont let me log off my twitter. i did the 'automatically download bookmarks from chrome' option but i deleted them afterwards. tumblr and twitter were the only sites that already had me signed in when i visited them but tumblr let me sign out. everytime i try to log out of twitter it takes me to the usual screen they show when you log out (a promotion for the twitter app for mobile phones) but the little button at the top that tells you to sign in isnt there, instead it has the button for you to write a new tweet and it keeps my twitters background. since i just downloaded it i dont have any extensions or add ons and my cache is empty so i honestly dont know what to do. i tried troubleshooting but it didnt work and im not really good with coding, like once you tell me what to do i can do it, but i cant do it on my own, so i dont know if the file was like corrupted when i downloaded it or something...

Under Details check the following:

Cookies
Active Logins
Offline Website Data
Uncheck everything else. Click "Clear Now", then restart Firefox.

That's true but other stuff can be Transferred from phone to phone using an App in the Playstore it's a Motorola one called Motorola Migrate Using this App you can Transfer stuff from you Droid 4 over to your new Motorola if you can get to the Playstore and Install this app it should be able to move your stuff over

Re-arrange those bookmarks so they are in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder.

I don't seem to be able to see the archive selection within Safari.
I found the import/export bookmarks under ,file> withing Safari but that just opens a browser box and I have no idea where to browse to to be able to find the firefox bookmarks.
Can you give me a step by step procedure?

Transfer Bookmarks from Safari to iPad

I have imported my bookmarks from Firefox/Chrome into Safari with no problem but cannot transfer them onto my iPad in iOS7. i have researched other forums and been told to do this via iTunes However this does not work because when you try and sync under " Other" there is no longer any option listed to sync bookmarks. Can someone help please?

You would want to sync the bookmarks using iCloud now, and not iTunes. But take a look at this. If I am reading it correctly, it is no longer supported by Apple using Safari for Windows. I assume that to are a WIndows user or this wouldn't be an issue, since to could easily sync the Safari bookmarks using iCloud on both devices.

On the old computer, choose Go to Folder from the Finder’s Go menu, provide ~/Library/Safari/ as the path, and move the Bookmarks file to the corresponding location on the new one.

Problem after importing bookmarks from chrome

My Mac is in German because I live in Berlin. This means that here I have to translate the messages from Safari into English, but it's fairly straightforward. My German is at native speaker level.
Problem is...
When I tried to import the bookmarks and history from Chrome, the progam hung up and I had to "immediately end" it. Then I tried again, this time only importing the bookmarks. It worked, but the result is that, although I have my bookmarks, Safari is not allowing me to delete or modify anything. Each time I try it gives me the message that I "have to accept or delete" the data that I've received from Chrome in order to proceed. But, whether I click on "accept" or "delete", nothing happens. In other words, the data is neither "accepted" nor "deleted", and I can't do any deleting or modifying of bookmarks without bringing up this same message, over and over.
So I can neither go back to the previous state by "clearing" Safari, reversing the process, nor can I go forward. All the bookmarks are as it were "frozen" in the positions that they had when I first imported them, and there is seemingly nothing I can do about it.
I would love to be able to delete Safari and download it again, but this doesn't seem to be possible. I also don't even know if this would alter the settings.
