I would like to transfer my bookmarks from my old laptop to my new one. I do not have a cable to connect the two laptops. How can I transfer? I do a an external hard drive to save with.

If you put it in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music (or wherever the equivalent is on Windows) then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. and on the top of that it has an import/export menu using this you can export all your bookmarks into a file either as html or as a json
you can then do the reverse on another PC
