Transfer contacts doesn't transfer groups

I just got a N95 8GB. I have a N95-3 (NAM). I transfered contacts via bluetooth using the "transfer telephone" application provided by Nokia.
To my surprise, it didn't transfered groups. Is there a way to do it or do I have to manually assign each of my 300 contacts a group AGAIN?
I also tried sync with outlook. Same result.
That's kind of frustrating.

G'Day
I just got the N96 and im shocked that nobody at the Nokia Flagship store in New York knows how to transfer Group Contacts..
Does anyone know a way to tranfer Groups from an N80 to a N96 ????
The PC Suite backup and restore does everything but the Group contacts and im wandering if you save it on a Micro SD which is inside a Mini SD then restore it to the phone. Does it put the Groups in it ??
Anyone know the answer, attention Nokia tech specialists please train and have the New York store alerted !
Thankyou

  • IPod CONTACTS doesn't show GROUPS

I just got a new iPod Video 80GB, partly because it can sync addresses from my Mac's Address Book.
However, I have not been able to see GROUPS in the CONTACTS and have to scroll though a lot of addresses to find anyone. How can you set iPod preferences to show groups, or can you?
If the iPod can't show GROUPS in CONTACTS, I recommend that Apple fix this.
    Thank you

Can not transfer contacts from Nokia 1020 Windows Phone to Mercedes C. Windows Phone states that it is only voice connection when trying to transfer data, and if sharing, Mercedes will not show up as bluetooth device at all. However Merceds show Noika as a device. I tried other phones and they work, smart phones and not smart phones. What to do?

  • Transfer contacts from iphone 3GS to pc

Hi my phone is acting out and I want to save everything from it on the pc, in particular the contacts and the books. How do I do that?
    Claudia

    Hello claudia_kady,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1296
    Contacts
To sync contacts with your computer, choose "Sync Contacts with" within iTunes for Windows, or "Sync Address Book Contacts" on your Mac.
You can sync your contacts with:
Microsoft Outlook 2003, Microsoft Outlook 2007, Microsoft Outlook 2010 (Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7)
    Windows Address Book (Windows XP)
Windows Contacts (Windows Vista / Windows 7)
    Address Book (Mac OS X)
Microsoft Entourage 2004, Microsoft Entourage 2008, or Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac
Note: If using Microsoft Entourage, use Microsoft Entourage 2008 12.1.2 or later if syncing with Mac OS X v10.6 or later. If you would like to sync data on your Mac with Entourage, enable syncing between Entourage and Address Book.
    Notes:
When syncing contacts, you can choose to sync all of your contacts or only selected groups. The option to sync selected items may not show up until after the first sync.
You can select a group of contacts to which all new contacts created on your iOS device will be added.
Additional options for syncing include syncing your contacts with Yahoo or Gmail/Google Mail. You will need to configure it with the user name and password for your Yahoo or Google account.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • Contacts Don't Transfer All Information When Using Outlook Synching - Zen Mi

Earlier I posted regarding the following problems with Outlook Synching:
. It doesn't transfer any recurring appointments from Outlook.
    2. It doesn't transfer your Outlook calendar unless you also choose to transfer your Outlook Contacts.
I now have another issue I just witnessed today....
    3. I've now entered roughly 50 contacts into Outlook, and have synched them with my Micro. I find that roughly 5 - 0% of my contacts do not synch over the email address. All other information appears to be transferred to my Micro, except for the email addresses in about 5 - 0% of contacts. I thought perhaps I maxed out the memory in my Micro, but that wasn't the problem. I then thought that perhaps these contacts have too much info, and Micro transfers over only a set data limit per contact... so I removed alot of info from one of them as a test, but it still won't transfer over the email address.
Has anyone else seen that? Creative, any comments on this issue, or status on the first two?
    Thanks -
    Josh

Thanks for the follow-up, Jeremy. In answer to your question, the contacts that don't transfer the email addresses were not previously on the device. I did not update the contact afterwards and add the email, it was already there when I initially created the contact.
As a test, I tried creating a "Test Contact" that appeared similar to the contacts that exhibits this problem, but it transferred the email address just fine. It's just approximately 5 - 0% of my contacts that show this problem.
The contacts I've seen off-hand tend to have most fields filled in including: Full Name, Job Title, Company, Business #, Mobile #, Business Address, E-mail, Display As.
On a side note, when I deleted this test contact from MS Outlook, synched the device, and made sure I selected the checkbox stating "Delete contacts that have been deleted in Outlook".... it never removed the "Test Contact". Is this another bug?
    Thanks for the help -

  • Infiniti G37 and the iPhone. Pairs, cannot transfer contacts.

I have a great new phone, and a great new car. Too bad I have no way to transfer my Contacts from the iPhone to the car. Here's why:
The Infiniti system (software by Zenrin) expects the phone to initiate a transfer. In older phones, such as the Sony Ericcson, this could be accomplished by selecting the contact(s) to transfer, and select 'send via bluetooth'.
Alas, the iPhone doesn't allow you to beam/send/initiate the transfer of Contacts Or can it?
Suggestions welcome. And if the iPhone developers are reading these forums, I'd love to see this feature implemented in a future Update

I'm new to this forum/discussion, but came to it because my new iPhone lost it's connection to the handsfree phone in my 2007 G35 Sedan - it worked fine for a few weeks and then, today...couldn't "find" the phone". I deleted the initial pairing and then tried to re-pair them...no luck! Endless searching. The service guy at the dealer successfully paired his Motorola, so I knew it wasn't the car. The story from that dealership is that there's a problem with iPhones and the Infiniti BT connection. However I found this on the Infiniti website: (http://www.infiniti.com/bluetooth): YES to pairing and basic phone usage (varies a bit w/ or w/o navigation)and NO to transfer of phonebook (as deggie says). NOW, I just have to figure out what happened to my phone/car connection! Could the low battery have been the problem? If so, maybe a car charger would help prevent this in the future?

  • HT4872 I did as told to Transfer contacts from android and it's not syncing

    Transfer contacts from android

One thing that it seems that nobody mentions or maybe the user doesn't hear is that when their device is set up by someone else - you should sync to iTunes as soon as you get to your computer - before you begin downloading apps, music, and so on.
Launch iTunes on your Mac. From the menu at the top go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and turn off auto syncing at the bottom of that window - check prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Quit iTunes.
Connect your iPad to your computer, start iTunes and click on your iPad name on the left side of the iTunes window under devices. Go to the menu at the top - File>Transfer Purchases from ... iPad. This should transfer all of the purchased content into your iTunes library.
You can elect to turn auto syncing back on if you want to do so. If you choose to not auto sync - you can also select to prevent iTunes from opening when your iPad is connected to your Mac in the info tab of iTunes when the iPad is connected to iTunes.
If you do erase the iPad - you can download the apps and music (available in the U.S.) again at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID that you used to buy the content in the first place.

  • CCX transfer to Hunt List/Line Group

We have a few Hunt Lists. The problem as you know is that you get ringback and not hold music. We do own CCX 7.01. Is there a way I can create a script in CCX to place the call on hold and pass it off to the hunt Pilot? We do not (yet) use Contact Center Agents, although we do own some Premium seats. We are using Call Manager 7.01.

    Hi
It's certainly possible to send calls to hunt groups front-ended by a UCCX script. It can get messy for all but the simplest setups, and due to the lack of reporting and proper queueing it's really not suited to anything more than a few 'agents' with low call volumes.
You would want to do a 'Call Consult Transfer' to the hunt pilot, this effectively puts the caller on hold and extends a transfer leg to the hunt group. As soon as someone (or something, e.g. voicemail) picks up, the transfer completes.
It does work, but you are restricted in the type of things you can do with the call while the transfer is attempting. As soon as you hit the Consult step, the script stops, so you can't play out prompts to the caller while they are ringing around the hunt group.
You would need to set the timeout on the Consult step to a suitably long value, and ensure your hunt timeout is long enough to let it ring round as long as it needs to.
You have to be careful about things like pulling the call back from the Consult step (i.e. letting it ring the group for 15 seconds, and then doing a 'sorry to keep you waiting' Prompt step, and then retrying the Consult) as when you do this you screw up the queue order if there are multiple callers. You probably aren't guaranteed that callers will be answered in order anyway...
Finally bear in mind that you will not be able to get any meaningful reports on  queue stats, call answer times and so on, or any reports related to agents...
    Regards
    Aaron

Your content will only be where you put it.  It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer.  You should get the option to merge the data when you sync.
