Transfer current subscription to another user name

Hi. My small organization just purchased Skype premium for our main account for the group video calling feature. However, we would like to create a new account to be shared among our coworkers, and would like to transfer our current Premium subscription to our new username account. Is this possible?

Currently it is not possible to transfer credit nor subscriptions from one account to another. I'd recommend contacting customer service to check if refund is available option.

Is the new username an established email account with an email provider? If not, that is your problem. You cannot just make up a username and expect to receive email with it.
I would not suggest changing usernames due to a new email account. I would set up a new account in Thunderbird for the new email account.

This is a security issue and you will need a javascript file in the Acrobat folder. This will contain a trusted function allowing access to the login name.

That's actually good--I'm not going to be accessing old files frequently--except for music, which i want on my new user name. How do i move files from my "old comp" account to my new one? Is there a way to easily move large #'s of files, or just one by one? I've googled extensively but can only find instructions for OSX 10.6 and previous, which talks about the "Shared folder," which I can't seem to find.

How to get Current Log in BO user name in data access driver

In universe, to get the current log in user is via @Variable('BOUSER').
Right now, I need to be able to get the user name in the data access driver. I am writing a customized data access driver because we need to patch some where clause on the the query generated by the universe based on the logged-in user info. I only think of using end_sql parameter or adding an universe level filter to patch the @Variable('BOUSER') to the query, which would not work if user want to use customized query.
Can anyone tell me how to get currentBO user name from connection server ? or how @Variable('BOUSER') is translated into the logged-in user name in the universe?

(usage: =connection([Query Name]), where [Query Name]
denotes the name of the tab for the query under Edit Query)

I'm not sure if this info helps out either, being that connection provides info on a post-processing basis and it sounds like you need to get out ahead of the SQL generation. The @variable('bouser') would seem like the place to be, however, in allowing custom SQL to take place you loose the bouser due to an individual could customize the SQL to the point that it gets unwantingly yanked out. The end_sql might be your answer...

I can't do an update because another users name is applied to it

The app store is showing that I have an update for iphoto. When prompted to sign in another users apple id comes up and it won't let me just sign in with my name. I should mention I am the second owner of this macbook.

The "other" user would be the first owner who purchased the iLife suite on their Apple ID. You cannot upgrade that which you did not purchase. I believe that you'll have to buy your own copy of iLife in order to take advantage of any updates.

Yet another User Name or password incorrect

Like thousands (tens of thousands?) of users I simply cannot get FaceTime to work.
I keep getting the "user name or password is incorrect" message.
Initially I wondered if the problem was the discrepancy in Apple's password protocol - on iTunes my password is all lower-case letters, but when changing it for FaceTime it has to have an upper-case letter and a digit.
But even that didn't work, nor did setting up a new AppleID, nor did changing the DNS (an app that doesn't work with a user's normal DNS server is surely DEEPLY flawed), nor did doing a complete reset/restore (again, things are DEEPLY flawed if that's a necessity).
I did manage at one point to connect, but then the next time I tried to connect it failed again.
And looking around there seem to be huge numbers of people having similar problems, and all sorts of suggestions to fix it ... going on for MONTHS.
FaceTime was supposed to be a big selling point for the device ... simple and easy to set up. Clearly Apple has failed on this BIG TIME ... and I'm no computer slouch, having been diagnosing and helping people with computers and networks for a very long time.
SO what do I do next?

this is quite the dilemma, but i have another take. my household is new to the mac. bought our first macbook pro in june, the first ipod touch 4g for my daughter this christmas. knowing that we bought the touch, we downloaded the facetime beta for mac in mid-december. on christmas morning my daughter opened her touch, set up factime with her gmail address and we immediately were facetiming. then, on december 30 my wife and i decided to buy our first iphones. they were the 16gb iphone 4. again, facetime worked immediately between each iphone and between the ipod touch and iphones. i don't think it's apple's fault, knock wood. i just think there are so many variable out there as far as router settings and such. there are many people with facetime problems that get them figured out and it turns out the ipod touch itself was not the problem, and many people go to the apple store and facetime works fine. i read these facetime threads with interest for some geeky reason. good luck.

My kid was the first in my family to get an iPod. When we created her account, since she is young, I put it on my laptop under my user name. Months later, I decided to get an iPod and when I went to set up an account, it wouldn't let me. My neice told me that I had to set up a new user name account on my computer for the new itunes account. I did this, but now I find that this is TOTALLY inconvenient. My computing is done under one user name and, yet, to sync my iPod I have to log out of all of that and go into the other user name. I HATE this -- had I realised this would be such a pain in the neck, I never would have set up my daughter's account under my user name. Is there a way that I can move my itunes account to MY user name and move my daughter's to the other? Can I have them both under one user name? Thanks for any help/advice

Each windows user has an itunes database file that has ratings, playcounts, etc.
It is named iTunesLibrary.itl
So in addition to putting the music in a shared location as Neil suggests, you need to swap your ITL files from each account.
Here is a good background article on that, you are using method 1. My advice is to stay far away from method 3, it's too easy to forget which ITL file itunes last used.
You could also switch to method 2. I used that for several years until my husband started using iTunes and I did not want his play counts in my library.

You can change your AppleID/e-mail address. In iTunes on the Menu Bar go to Store/View my Apple ID. It'll take you to your account page in iTunes. Where it says Apple ID(your e-mail address) there is a link to edit that information. It shows your current e-mail and password/verify password. Below that is a link to change your security questions and other Apple ID details appleid.apple.com.
On that page it says if you change your e-mail address it'll send a verification e-mail to that address.. and that new Apple ID/e-mail address will be used to access all Apple services(iTunes etc)

The file path for the related audio files will still be the one for your computer so he will need to change it accordingly in his Project settings.
I don't know if you've already done this, but using 'Consolidate' under the file menu makes sure that all relevent files are copied along with any instruments and related samples - there are options in the file dialog box - just to make sure everything is available to the recipient.

How do I transfer my Macbook Pro to my son so he can use his own Apple ID. Right now, it comes up with all my settings. I tried re-installing the OS. But, It still requires my own Apple ID and retains my apps etc.

It's possible that the water caused your hard drive directory to be corrupted when the logic board shorted out. You may want to try repairing the now-external drive with Disk Utility's Repair Disk routine. If it reports making any repairs, run it repeatedly until it reports that the disk "appears OK". Then try Migration Assistant again.
If that fails, then perhaps the disk itself was damaged by the spill. You could go one step farther and try using data recovery software on the drive:
