Transfer custom Infotype 21 data to other HR system

Hi All,
We have extended Infotype 21 to include some custom fields. Now we want to transfer this to another HR system.
We are not sure what message type to use while distribution and which user exits to change for both outbound and Inbound.
Also will one single IDOC take care of all master data and the Infotype 21 fields too.
Can anyone give me the steps we need to do for the following.
This is urgent !

Yes, indeed. And it works cross-system. Another way, of course, could be simply adding SKB1 table to the change request and transport it.

My requirement is to transfer custom OM infotype changes using IDOCs.
But its not creating any change pointers for that infotype.
The message used is a copy of standard message OM_HRMD_A.

You'll need to erase the drive by booting up holding command-option-r keys into your Recovery Volume.
Use Disk Utility to erase the disk and then Internet Recovery. That will take a while.

Custom infotype data from rec to pa

Dear Gurus
We have some custom infotypes for the applicant, while we perform the hire applicant action, the same infotypes data should be transferred to PA how to do this

Customer master data updation from one system to another system

HI Experts,
I have an issue with customer master data updation from one system to another system. And here only one field is not updating properly from one system to another system. and we found this is through idoc , but we don't find field in any segment.
and the field is called ADDR1_DATA-HOME_CITY.
and this will displayed as different city in address column.
but as per the notes given in help , it is by program , form through only passing. but not able to trace and as per my analysis ADRC table , ADRNR had this field HOME CITY.
And this is for some customers updating wrong one from one system to another system , and for some customers field itself not updating in address column.
please can you suggest any one. here are screenshot for your reference.

Accessing data from other SAP system

Hi experts
I need to access data from one SAP system from other. My requirement is , perform applications (programs) in some SAP system, but using/accessing data from other SAP system .
For example, when we press F4 we get the match code (search help) for the field ; that window is alredy created by SAP and it shows the data for that field . Of course the application (ike any other program/application) read the data from the SAP system is being executing ; well i need execute that match code but show (taking) the data from other SAP system; i not refer to other MANDT in same system but other SAP system.
The communication between SAP1 system and SAP2 system is already created from BASIS.
My doubt is how can i execute that standard application (search help) but 'invoke' to standard application this take data from other system ?
I guess i can create Z search help wich call a Z Function (RFC) to get the data required from the other system ;
or maybe enhance the standar search help to call that Z RFC ; but standard application search help is already created and this access the data in several ways or places of code , and this has severals sub-windows and search features ; and i just need execute exactly same search help but accesing data from the other SAP system ; so my doubt is, is there some way to indicate to SAP the applications always (wherever) these applications acces the data do it but from other SAP system,
like if we 'redirect' the Data Base to other SAP system.
SAP1 applications are being executing -
> but all data (records) are taking from SAP2
Maybe the first suggestion is simply why do not we execute applications in SAP2 instead SAP1 , that's because the version package in SAP2 system (where we have the data) does not support some (non SAP) applications we need to use.
Excuse the long thread. Does somebody can help, any idea ?

Below are my thoughts, these are only conceptual and haven't had an opportunity to try these possibilities, also not sure if this is the right thing.
1) Create an entry in DBCON using TCode: DBCO for the Database of system SAP2. Now in the application of SAP1 use the "SET CONNECTION" construct as the very first statement, so that consecutive SQL statements will point at the DB of SAP2.
2) I have read somewhere that the Work Processes are connected to the Default database and i am not sure if you can change this setting, but if you can and provided you have have multiple application servers in your SAP1 landscape, then pick one of the application servers and change the settings on the WP to point at the DB of SAP2, you have the end users login to this particualr app server.
3) If there are multiple app servers in SAP1 landscape, then choose one of the app servers and change the default database setting to point at DB of SAP2.

Yes, this can be done. But, which is not possible While transfering.
But it can be done after receving at the recevier end. For that you need to modify the code in the recevier Program before it updates the database.

Custom Infotype - Data entered not visible afterwards

Hi,
I am new to ABAP HR and created infotype first time ever. Now the data which I am entering on the screen gets saved after clicking on SAVE. But it should be later visible when we want to see it using Change or Display mode which is not happening.
Do we have to code in the infotype as we do in screen. Can SET/GET Parameter id used?

- Did you follow the rule of a guide like [Developing an Infotype|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/43/a8774f977f17b5e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm] ?
- Can you "see" your data with SE16n browser ?

ICR - Importing Data from Other SAP Systems for Reconcilaition

Dear Ralph and Other Experts,
At my current engagement we need to import data from a subsidiary separate SAP system for reconciliation. There are scenarios where one side of an Interco document is posted in the corporate system and the other half is posted in the subsidiary's system. The posts from the subsidiary are totaled by comp code account and trading part and then posted in the corporate system.
This will make it challenging to run automatic rule assignments because scenarios will arise where one document in the subsidiary needs to be matched to many documents in the corporate system.
I did some searching on changing the DataSource in FBIC008 for certain company codes to file upload or external but cannot find documentation on how to complete the configuration or how this functionality it works. Has anyone used this functionality? Could somebody please explain or link me to a document about using this external or file upload functionality in the ICR system.

Transfer Custom OM Infotype data through ALE for HRMD_ABA Message type

Hello Folks,
I have created a Custom OM Infotype.When i run the PFAL transaction. All the standard infotype data is getting filled, but i dont see custom infotype data getting filled.
Example: HRP9001 is the custom infotype.
Please let me know the step by step process to populate the Custom infotype data in ALE Transfer.

I think function module RH_MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE_HRMD shows some odd behaviour. It calls EDI_DOCTYPS_OF_MESTYP, which returns the name of the extension in an internal table named "doctyps". But later on, function module MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE is called with a structure "f_idoc_control". In this structure, the field "cimtyp" should hold the name of the extension, but it NEVER gets filled, although the value is present in doctyps-cimtyp.
So what I have done, is to activate userexit #004, which is called just before MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE and modifies structure f_idoc_control, if desired.
Call transaction CMOD and create a project in a non-SAP namespace: Zxxxx. The enhancement we need is "RHALE001" (HR-CA: Enhancement for ALE functionality in HR). One of its components is EXIT_SAPLRHA0_004, which consists of include ZXHALU08. In this include I called EDI_DOCTYPS_OF_MESTYP again to fill f_idoc_control-cimtyp.
Here is my code for include ZXHALU08
DATA: z_doctyps TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF edidocs WITH HEADER LINE.

If it can be done by using Bapi's Please send me some notes or code the way how it can be done,data can be transfered through IDOC wht wud be the IDoc format and the message type etc.Please help me out in this, if some one have done it or got any idea pls send it across. Querying Data from 3rd Party System

We would like to query data from a 3rd party (non-SAP) system. Our BW is an MSSQL DB and the 3rd party is also an MSSQL DB. We do not want to physically load the data from the external system we just want to use the BW query tools to display the data.
Is this possible? I thought this is what a Remote Cube would be used for but SAP's instructions on Remote Cubes are vague and confusing.
       1.      In BW, create a source system for the external system that you want to use.
       2.      Define the required InfoObjects.
       3.      Load the master data:
·        Create a master data InfoSource for each characteristic
·        Load texts and attributes
       4.      Define the RemoteCube
       5.      Define the queries based on the RemoteCube

SAP RemoteCube is an InfoProvider. This is a special RemoteCube that allows
you to define queries with direct access to transaction data in other SAP systems. SAP RemoteCubes are defined on the basis of an InfoSource with flexible updating, and assume the characteristics and key figures of the InfoSource.
Use/Data Flow
Unlike with other RemoteCubes, it is not necessary to program extractors. The
same extractors are used to select data in the source system that are also used when replicating data into the BW. When executing a query, each navigation step sends a request to the extractors for the assigned source systems. In addition, characteristics selection and selection criteria for these characteristics are transformed to fields in the transfer structure, in accordance with the transfer rules. They are transferred to the extractor in this form. The delivered datasets run through the transfer rules in BW and are filtered once again in the query.
In your case Remote cube can be an option .

is there a way to export my custom code to any other SAP system.
not the same client or server. say for ex: i develop a code in my system remotely and want to provide the same for my client to export into their system.
maybe same versions but diff systems.
is there a way to save as binary file or something?

Yes u can do it.
In SE38 give ur report name and click display.
Now u will see ur code.
In the MENU follow the path:
Utilities-->More Utilities --> Upload/Download --> Download.
Now ur report can downloaded to any format of file.
Ask ur client to upload ur report in the similar fashion..

How can we maintain the Custom Infotype text in different language in table T582S.
When I tried using view V_T582S, by default it is giving entries in only logon language.
Is there any other way to convert the text of custom infotypes to some other languages.

Sesh, I checked in SE11 also, there the translation is enabled but I can't change from lets say EN to FR.
