Transfer Design Objects

Hi,
i am testing this functionality. right now iam transferring objects from two SWC registered in the SLD.
im facing an issue. i tranferred a model foldel from SWC1 to SWC2. everithing was OK.
later i deleted it, an activated the changes.
when i  tryed to transfer the folder again the system return: Objects Not Transferred (Target Object Version More Up-To-Date)
does anyone know why?
Is possible to transfer a Model and all the dependent objects, i mean. i transfer the model SalesOrder-->so as consecuence all service defined and associated in the model, Message Type and Data Type, Core Data Types, GDT????
Thanks
Rodrigo P-.

Hi Rodrigo
Issue happened because object was changed (deleted) on SWCV2.
If you change objects in SWCV2, they will not be transfered from SWCV1 to avoid that SWCV2 objects get overwritten with older versions.
If you change objects in both SWCVs, you will get a conflict.
Here it is in more details:
No new object versions are created during the release transfer. Instead, the current versions of the source SWCV are transferred to the target SWCV. This has the following consequences for repeated release transfers:
a) Objects that were only developed further in the source SWCV are transferred to the target SWCV.
b) Objects that were only developed further in the target SWCV are not overwritten. The release transfer does not affect these objects.
c) Conflicts occur if objects were developed further in both SWCVs. These conflicts must be resolved after the release transfer.

Giuseppe

  • Import Design Objects in Service Builder

I am able to export and import configuration objects in Configuration Integration Builder from the Tool menu.
I am able to export Design Objects in Enterprise Service Builder.
I am also able to import the Design Objects in Enterprise Service Builder, however, I am not able to find the imported objects.
Although system says the import is successful, but I am not seeing the imported objects in left side panel.
There is nothing in Change Lists either.
My question is where is the imported objects and how could I find them?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jimmy,
This is because of the version conflicts in yuour target system. If you try to edit something in Integration Repository in the target system and try to transfer you will get version conflicts.
Please check if this is the error.

    Naveen.

  • Problem in activating design objects in Integration Repository

    Hi Experts,
I have created some design objects in a namespace. But if I try to activate these objects it gives me the below error:
    Namespace http:
test.for.api.com is not defined in the software component version TESTSOFTWARECOMPONENTFORAPI 0 of sap
I have already added the "http:
test.for.api.com" to the software component version.
    Can anyone please help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Suraj

    Hi,
you need to activate the test.for.api.com (by activatiing software component name in Change tab) first
and then activate the rest of the objects
let me know if this worked

  • Can we setup the transfer of 'objectives' from one appraisal to another?

    Dear All,
Is it possible to setup a policy to transfer the 'objectives' from one previously started/done appraisal to another newly created appraisal automatically on the creation, based on some criteria like following:
    - Transfer all non-achieved objectives from a closed 'annual appraisal' (for year 2011) ..INTO.. next year's (for 2012) annual appraisal.
    - Transfer all achieved objectives from all closed 'assignment/engagement appraisal' between 1st Jan to 30th Jun ..INTO.. an 'interim appraisal' for the period of 1st Jan to 30th Jun (for the same year)
    - Transfer all achieved objectives from all closed 'assignment/engagement appraisal' between 1st Jan to 31st Dec ..INTO.. an 'annual appraisal' for the period of 1st Jan to 31st Dec (for the same year)
    - Transfer all achieved objectives from all closed 'interim appraisals' for the period of 1st Jan to 30th Jun ..INTO.. an 'annual appraisal' for the period of 1st Jan to 31st Dec (for the same year)
If it is possible.....what is the detailed method to do that? ....In my opinion it can only be done via customization....am i right?
    Regards,
    Talha.

    Hi,
Unfortunately such functionality does not exist. If you are using PMP, you will be able to do this to an extent but not the way you want based on certain criteria.

  • Import design object into integration repository

    HI.
We are going to import "XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_SP09_01.tpz" into integration reposiotry. So, we move this file into "G:\usr\sap\DEV\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import" and start integration reposiotry.
Then, I clicked tool -> import design object but system can't find any object.
How can I fix this ?
    Regards, Arnold.

    Hi,
Generally, the import of this component is done during installation itself, just check if the installation has been completed. Check out michal's FAQ blog to get simple steps to check if installation has been completed properly. You can probably copy the tpz version of the SAP BASIS component again from the installation DVD and try and import it.
Btw, what kind of a platform is XI running on - Unix platform? Whatever it is, are you able to see the tpz file at its location? Check if the folder that the tpz if existing in has all the permissions to pick up the file.

    Sushumna

  • XI 3.0 : Import/Export of IB: Design Objects via Filesystem

<b>Failure: "You are not permitted to delete any objects since the software component cannot be changed"</b>
Today I've tried out the import/export functionality of the integration builder design.
Therefor I've exported a whole <i>SoftwareComponentVersion</i> into a file and after that reimported it.
Everything works fully correct. But now, when i try to delete this <i>SoftwarComponentVersion</i> or any <i>object</i> within, i face the warning: "You are not permitted to delete any objects since the software component cannot be changed" and i am not able to delete it.
<b>Have you any experience dealing this problem?</b>
    <u>Thx for your answer!</u>

    Hi Friends,
I have try to do the same stuff but i could not see the objects imported into swcv.
    I did as follows:
    1. Imported swcv from sld.
    2. created a namespace
    4. created some design objects.
    5. activated the changed list.
    6. Exported the swcv in tpz file
    7. removed all the objects from swcv.
    8. imported the design objects from previously exported tpz file by copying it into the import folder at xiserver.
    9. it says objects are successfully imported and i can see the file is transfered from import folder to importedFiles folder with timestamp suffix.
but i am still unable to see these objects into the swcv.
Where i have done mistake or should i need to do something more as i wanted to test this export/import feature having only one xiserver.

  • Import design objects - missing something

    Hi
I have two files with tpt extensions XI2_0_SAP_APPL_4.6C_48_01_classic.tpt and XI2_0_SAP_APPL_4.6C_48_01.tpt to import objects corresponds to rosettanet design objects I got from SAP market place. I did place them in respository_server/import directory as mentioned in the installation guide. When tried import object from integration builder it is not recognizing it. Why?
I am running XI3.0, is that the reason it is not recognizing XI2_0 objects?
Also I did try making them as tpz file after zipping the above files and did add a metadata.properties file containing below text
    transportFile=XI2_0_SAP_APPL_4.6C_48_02_classic.tpt
transportFile=XI2_0_SAP_APPL_4.6C_48_02.tpt, still it did not recognize it.
    What I am missing?
    help.. please..
    Dhandu

    Hi Dhandu,
Check if the metadata properties file contains the below entries: Most importantly the first one. (all are case-sensitive):
    systemtype=<b>IBC 3.0</b>
    sourcesystem=<host>_<sid>_00
    transportFile=<tptfilename>.tpt
    contenttype=DirectoryView
Also see that the properties file name is "<b>M</b>etadata.properties". It is case-sensitive, else it wont recognize.
Also note: when you zip the tpt file & properties file, see that they are at the root directory of the zip file. Open and see if the directory path is not taken.

  • Installing support for Oracle Designer Objects in an existing repository

We have been using SCM to store Forms and other files
    for our development work.
Now I want to use Repository Reports in the Repository

    for Oracle Designer Objects.
Can I use the Repository Administration Utility and
Install support for Oracle Designer Objects
without effecting the existing repository data?
(I've tried metalink but keep getting TCP Error
    while logging the TAR).

  • Import Design objects in XI

    Hi All
Yesterday i copied a tpz file in the import directory and import the file in XI.
The SWCV got created along with all the namespaces.
I deleted the SWCV and wanted to import again.
even though the file is available in the Import directory.
When i do import design objects, the file is not showing
    Can you pls help
    Regards
    Madhan D

After all successful imports the TPZ files will move to an Imported directory which is different from the IR design object Import directory.
Please check the directory you can find it..

    Sunil.

  • Doubt regarding Transporting Design Objects

    Hi all,
While transporting the design objects from DEV to QAS, iam doing in the following way
    1) i am doing transport Namespace wise individually and exported one by one. These all interfaces involved with IDOCs
    2) When i import into Quality Design, i am not able to see the  IDOCs under Imported Objects.
    How to proceed further??
    Regards

    Hello Arpil,
Now to itroduce this SWC dependencies is too late for le, because we have UK & North America objects also.
If i introduce this Dependencies concept now, i have to change for those UK & North America things too.
Is there any other way for this??
Importing the IDOC Definition again ???
any how i have to change the Control record values in QAS system to point QAS control record detail

  • How do we import design objects ?

    Hello friends,
I have a s/w component with a namespace in it containing all my Design objects in the Integration repository(Design).  There is an option called Export which i assume exports entire namespace along with the design objects within it to a tpz file.
now i want to know is whether i can import this tpz file again into Xi, if yes then how because when i tried importing it (Tools-> Import Design Objects...) , it says No Object Found.
I also want to know is that whether i can import this Namespace on some other XI deployed on some other machine.
    Thanks !!!

    Hi Rohit,
<i>now i want to know is whether i can import this tpz file again into Xi, if yes then how because when i tried importing it (Tools-> Import Design Objects...) , it says No Object Found.</i>
Yes, when you say TOOLS --> IMPORT , you should be able to import your exported namespace into the IR. Just make sure, you are giving the correct TPZ file to be imported into XI.
<i>I also want to know is that whether i can import this Namespace on some other XI deployed on some other machine.</i>
Yes , you surely can and that is the exact reason why the export and import actually exist. One option that is normally used when you want to migrate your objects from Dev to QA to Prod and so on is this import and export.

  • Design Objects created in Enterprise Services Builder not appearing in Integration Builder

I am fairly new to PI, so hoping someone can help.  I have created a number of design objects (DataType, MessageType, ServiceInterface, MessageMapping, OperationMapping).  I had also imported an RFC object successfully as well that is used in the creation of the design objects.  All have been saved and activated, and there are no apparent errors listed.
After saving and activating the objects, I went into Integration Builder, and created a new Configuration Scenario.  However, when trying to add in the Interface Determination, Receiver Determination, Sender Agreement, and Receiver Agreement, I do not see the the RFC object or design objects that were created in the Enterprise Services Builder.
Can someone advise as to whether or not I have missed a step somewhere?  Or perhaps there is something else that I need to do before I can get the design objects and imported RFC object to appear in the Integration Builder?.
    Thanks in advance.
    Tuan.

    Hi Tuan,
Are you using Business System or Business Component.  If your using Business System you need to assign Software Component Version to Business System in SLD.  If your using Business Component you have to add the Interface Name Manually to the Business Component.  Please see the Below screen shot, you have to add Sender or Receiver Interface manually to proceed further step.
    Thanks,
    Satish.

  • Unable to import design objects

    Hi ,
I am trying to import design objects into XI 3.0 SP 14 which is on Solaris.
When I imported the design objects all the objects were imported successfully for the first time.
Again when I tried to import the objects I am getting an error
"Attempt to deserialize failed You can proceed with the transport though objects with errors will be ignored. This may cause inconsistencies in other objects after import. Do you want to proceed? "
When I click on continue ,I am getting an error
    "ERROR : ; nested exception is: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
Can anybody help me to fix this problem
    Thanks for your help
