Transfer ebook to kobo

I am unable to transfer my ebook from Adobe Digital Editions to my kobo glo as kobo not listed as a device. Everything has been authorized.

There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0.  One of these is that it fails to recognize some devices.
Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

  • Adobe Digital Editions quits unexpectedly when trying to transfer ebooks to Kobo

I'm using an iMac. Every time I try to transfer a downloaded ebook to my Kobo, ADE quits unexpectedly. Not sure what to try (have already restarted computer, ejected and re-connected Kobo, etc.) Any ideas?

I have the same problem but no one seems to be able to help- I have spoken to kobo, apple and the library and no one has been able to rectify this issue. I think kobo has a software issue but they don't seem to want to look into it.

  • I bought some ebooks from kobo and they've been in my iPad for some time. Suddenly they've disappeared. Any idea why?

I bought some ebooks from Kobo and all was fine until recently when they began to disappear. Now they are all gone and only the "free" ones remain in the iPad library.
Any ideas on why this would happen?

    Stop using the account.
    You need do nothing more.
You will need to authorize your computer for both accounts as you have purchased from both accounts.

Adobe DE doesnt support Sonyereader PRS-T2 - anyway to transfer ebooks onto it?

I am modifying the correct httpd.conf file on the server, it just doesn't seem to work. - If I put the rewrite rules in the <Directory /> the rewrite works but it adds /Library/WebServer/Documents to the URL.
I also tried putting the rewrite rules in <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> but that did not work either.
mod_rewrite is enabled and running on the server.
I will post the rewrite rules again in the code brackets. Sorry for the long post. - If some one can try them out on their Leopard Server to see if they can get them to work, it would be much appreciated. Again, these work on my Leopard Client but I can't get them to work on Server.
-- The httpd.conf file posted above is just the default conf file found in /private/etc/apache2/

  • Unable to transfer ebooks on my binatone anymore

Can anyone explain why i cannot transfer ebooks from my laptop to my binatone anymore. I was able to do it  march 2014.

The issue is with the way - and the user ID - that B&N uses when you
transfer ebooks from their site.  Each ebook has a small file with data
about it and where it came from , including the user ID.  That user ID is
different from the one that Adobe expects to find, and ADE won't do
anything with them.  So, the answer to at least a part of your question is
that, when you download purchased ebooks from B&N, you cannot transfer them
to your computer via ADE because they were downloaded with a different user
ID.  This frustrating situation is due in part to the digital rights that
have been implemented under the Digital Millenium Copyright Act of 2000 by
B&N.  ADE just follows the rules.....
B&N people you spoke with were incorrect in saying that this is Adobe's
problem - they assign the digital rights and implement them through their
    software.

  • Is it possible to loan or transfer ebooks.

My wife and I have individual computers, ereaders, email addresses and ADE accounts. Is it possible for us to share/loan/transfer ebooks we have purchased between ourselves?

Unfortunately, an ebook can't be thought of as just an electronic copy of a
paper book.  Industry standards set up under the Digital Millenium
Copyright Act of 2000 give publishers, libraries and resellers options to
share copyrighted materials or not.  Depending on how they set up the
digital rights for the ebooks you have, you may - or may not - be able to
    share.
In ADE Library view, put your cursor next to the title of the ebook you
want to share, and click on the small arrow that appears.  A drop-down
panel will appear, and in the middle of that panel is a section that shows
the digital rights.  If copying is allowed, then you can copy the ebook
from your computer to another device.
ADE will support two computers and up to four ereaders on each one.  You
can authorize your wife's ereader to your computer and vice versa, so that,
if you have an ebook you can share, you could download it to both ereaders
from only one computer.  It's a great feature - and one my wife and I
'discuss' often, as she has 'technical difficulties' downloading ebooks
from time to time.  If this 'issue' is important in your household, then if
the digital rights permit copying, you could copy the ebook from your
computer to hers, use ADE to load it into her library, and she can take it
from there.  Just copy the file from your Digital Editions library to hers
(via whatever method works for you), open ADE, click on the small arrow
that appears in ADE Library mode next to the word 'Library', and choose
'Add Item To Library' from the drop-down menu.  A normal system screen will
appear that will let you locate the ebook, and you can choose it from
there.  It should appear in the ADE library immediately.
    Hope this helps!

  • Can i buy a ebook on KOBO and read it on Stanza?

This might be a stupid question, I have found a book that i want to read as an EBook, i have downloaded Kobo and Stanza apps to my Iphone 3gs. When i search the library (Bernard Cornwell "Burning Land") the book exists in KOBO but not in Stanza however i like the Stanza reader better. If i download the EBook in KOBO can i use Stanza to read it ??? Thanks Rob

Only if you change your iTunes Store account to The Netherlands, and then only if you buy prepaid cards or gift certificates in the Dutch iTunes Store. Cards or certificates from any other country will not work.
To change the country of your account, sign into your account, go to the account information, and click the "change country or region" link and make the changes as appropriate. Note that you will not be able to change the country if you have an outstanding credit balance in the UK iTunes Store or any pending downloads, uncompleted TV series, etc. If you do, you'll need to contact iTunes support for assistance.

  • How do I read an ebook on kobo with adobe digital reader?

I have installed Adobe Digital Reader on my pc. I am using windows 8.1. I am trying to read an eBook on kobo but it is not opening the Adobe Digital software that I have downloaded?

Books purchased via the iTunes bookstore are encumbered with Apple's DRM.
Apple don't make a reader application for DRM'd .epub books that runs on a Mac (or a PC either).
They are meant to be read on an iOS device, as should be clear from the terms and conditions.

How can I transfer ebooks of iBook library on Ipad to Imac ?
    Please help me.

To read on the iMac you need Mavericks...if you have Mavericks, the library for iBooks is available to both devices...open iBooks on the iMac and go to the Library.  Of course that does want to see an iCloud account, forgot to say that.

  • Adobe could transfer books to Kobo on old HP laptop but on new Mac I get this error message: CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED - No permission to copy book.

My Kobo is authorized on both machines. What do I do?
