What Photoshop Elements 11 steps are necessary to enable the transfer of edited photo's to local Walgreen's for printing without using Facebook?

If you want to prepare the files for printing after editing, you could try the actions panel in Expert Mode. There is an action for 4 inch x 6 inch prints which will give your originals the maximum resolution. Then export the photos to a CD or thumb drive etc and take to your store or upload on-line.

I make photos with my 5s. I Love HDR and Volume Trigger, so I use apple camera app.
I hate 4:3 Ratio, so I edit the photo using the apple photo app (or directly after shooting the photo) to 16:9 and it looks great.
Once a Week I sync with itunes and get my photos to PC (Win7) BUT only the Original Photos appear on PC.
I already read in apple help that the editing is "non-destructive" so only applied in meta data, which will be read correctly on a MAC ...
But I want my edited photos?
Is there an easy way to get them?
I already know follings workaround which I dont really like.
1. Email the Photos (too time consuming for me)
2. Use another Photoeditor App and save either lokal in app then transfer only from that app instead of apple photos app. (I love the stock app, especially red eye fix)
3. Use another camera app which CAN directy save 16:9 photos, so nothing to edit.(here also I love the stock app and didnt find anything compareable, I already own procamera 7 and camera+)
4. edit photos on PC and s**t on apple (actual my favorite)
5. Use Dropbox (auto upload function will only upload originals). On the other hand if I choose in dropbox manually photos to be uploaded the edited ones will be there (my favorite #2)
I included the solutions for other ppl. with same problem to let em know.
Any other solutions?

Have you tried after editing the photo, and it is in full view, do a screen shot? The saved screen shot should appear as a new photo.

How do I transfer edited photos from iphoto to desktop?

I have edited some photos in iphoto, but when I drag the photos to my desktop I loose the edits. How can I copy/transfer a photo from iphoto to my desktop without losing the edits? I have saved the changes, but it makes no difference.

Transfer edited photos from iPhoto app on my iPad back to the iMac

Dear all,
I've edited some photos on my ipad using the iPhoto app and I would like to have them transferred back to my iMac. Can anyone please show me the required steps? Thanks.
Note: I've tried plugging in my ipad to my iMac and opened iPhoto on my iMac but it seemd like I could only transfer non-edited photos from the iPad.

Turn on PhotoStream on your iPad and in iPhoto on your Mac. They will sync to your Mac.
iPad - Settings > iCloud > photoStream = on.
Mac > iPhoto > preferences > PhotoStream > enable

Transfer photo images to PC for printing

1. Tried saving image as jpeg and as png file (rather than PSD), but got errors when attaching to email as transfer media.
2. Tried to 'flatten the image' using PS editor, but most of the EDit function items are grey (inactive).
Does anyone have suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
Alternately, can anyone suggest a better approach to saving and transferring images from Photo Shop to a printable format?

Regarding the jpeg/png saving, what is the error message your getting when trying to transfer the media?
Also, could you make sure that the backgorund image is unlock while editing in PS>

Editing multipage PDF in Illustrator for print service bureau

I have a series of 4-page PDFs that I've edited in Illustrator and resaved back into the original files, which were created in Quark (not by me, and the Quark files are not available). My client will have these printed by a professional service bureau, so I want to be sure there'll be no problems with the files I send them. If I outline all fonts, is there anything else I should be aware of?

This depends on your service bureau, adn if they prefer .ai files or .pdf files.
The advantge to a .pdf file is that the service bureau prints the file as is, and it is quick for them.
The advantage to .ai, is that the service bureau has more control over the file, and have more power to make changes and they can get your job done right if they want to put the time into imaging this.
I would consult your service bureau for which PDF compression works best for them. The most important thing is that you comb over your file prior to making a .pdf to check for things(eg: are blacks using consistlently the same CMYK breakdown, do you want rich blacks of 60c 40my 100K, is everything bold or thin enough, etc).

How do I transfer edited photos from Roxio PhotoShow 5 to Adobe Photoshop Elements 7?

I have done quite a lot of editing, cropping, etc. on photos in my Roxio PhotoShow 5 and now that I have purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 I want to transfer the edits not just the original pics. Does anyone know how to do this? Also, can I transfer slide shows from one program to the other? Do I have to burn and then upload into PSE7?

Do the WMV or AVI option. I'd try both, and compare the quality in Windows Media Player. Basically, either format should work in Photoshop Elements, but you really want to use the best quality video to start with, because you lose quality each time you re-export a video file (that's just the way re-saving compressed video works in any application).
Once you have a good quality video, and you want to add onto that slide show in Photoshop Elements, open the Slide Show Editor and click the Add Media button at the top to bring it in.
Also, the "PhotoShow File" option might work, but I think you'd have to figure out how to convert it into something Elements can work with. One advantage is that you'd most likely be preserving the quality of the original show. If you're interested in pursuing this option, and you can upload the resulting file(s) made when using that option to a website or e-mail them to me, I could take a look to see whether this can be done.

Sending Photos to Retail Stores for Printing?

I recently switched from my Droid Pro that I'd had for less than a year, to the new iPhone 4. My biggest concern with the difference between the two phones is that with my Droid Pro I could send my pics from my phone to a local store, CVS Pharmacy, to be printed. I don't have that option with the iPhone 4, not that I've been able to find anyway. Does anyone know of an app for the iPhone 4 that will let my send my phone pics for retail printing?

I don't have a smartphone. If you can get your photos to a computer (via mini-SD card or USB cable), then you can log on to the store's website and upload photos.

Edit Web pages in Safari for printing?

Somewhere recently I came across a utility, or a hack (input manager), or maybe it was even a Web site, that makes it possible to edit out undesired elements of a Web page before printing it. I believe it was specifically linked to Safari (not a Firefox plug-in I know, as I never use that browser). I clearly remember a video demo of whatever-it-was on its Web page. But I can't remember the name, and can't find it again with an Internet search. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

HT201250 When I back up photos, can I get to them easily? 'Restore' seems more involved the just simply grabbing a photo to send off for printing or post on Facebook, for example?

I'm fairly new at backing info up so please bare with me! Lol I just got a G Drive slim and started using time machine. It did its initial back up, can I delete pics off my computer now to free up space? Can I get to my photos easily? I had an external hard drive from office max or something (it failed and I lost a lot) when I plug that in I simply opened it up and looked through my photos. This time machine/g drive seems different...easier I hope. Flipping through 5000 pictures was pretty time consuming. How can I be sure they're all on the hard drive? Do I go through time machine to look at backed up items or click on the drive icon on my desktop? I hope this isn't too confusing...

Nobody can help? :(

Download edited photos from IPhone 5

Can anyone please advise on how to download edited photos in the standard "Photo" app to my PC?
previously I used IPhoto to transfer edited photos into my camera roll and then deleted the original copies. When I then downloaded the photos to my PC via USB cable I was getting the emdited photos rather than the originals.
Now that IPoto has been removed with ios8 I am back to square one, any photos edited in the Photos app when downloaded via USB revert back to the original copies???
There must be a simple fix for this obvious glitch?

Thanks for the question. You’ll want to open the photo with an application that can read XMP, or you can choose to email the photo to yourself:

Apple uses Extensible Metadata Platform (XMP), a standard created by Adobe, for nondestructive photo editing. XMP allows you to undo edits and to revert back to an original photo without the loss of quality. Displaying the edited photo requires OS X v10.9 or later and software that can read XMP. The following applications support XMP:
iPhoto 9.5 or later
iPhoto for iOS
Aperture 3 or later
Adobe Lightroom
Adobe Photoshop Elements
Other photo-management applications and some iOS apps may also display XMP.
Your photo-management application will display the original photo if it can't read XMP. To see the edited photo on your computer, email the photo to yourself from your device, then copy the photo from your email application to your photo application.

HHi, thank you for the reply. I have checked my iPad and iPhone and neither has iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled. Turned off in both. Photostream is turned on.
i tried to sort it out by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated.

Metadata for managing edits on the iPhone uses a "sidecar" file with a .AAE file type rather than embedding the XMP data in the JPG file. Thus, it is essential to import the AAE file when transferring images to a computer from an iPhone. If the transfer was done with iPhoto 9.5 or higher on the computer the .AAE file should have been imported into iPhoto along with the .JPG. If the transfer was done with an older version, or was done with a tool other than iPhoto, the .AAE file may have been lost. Some users "cleverly" delete the .AAE files, not knowing what they are for.

Any edited photos are not viewable ...

I've already posted once ... no luck with an answer. Some of my photos will not export to websites such as Facebook, Flickr or Walgreens. Edited photos can be seen in an album, but once you click on them, the screen turns black. If you try to load them onto any website or disc (or if you remove them from iphoto and drag onto your desktop) there is a pop-up that says the file is EMPTY. I've lost a ton of edited photos that I needed for a project. PLEASE HELP me figure this out. Very frustrated with iphoto.

What are "high resolution signals"? How are you printing? Why would you want to change your photos from high resolution for printing, they higher the resolution the better they will print.
