I am having trouble transferring epub files from sony reader/pc to playbook and then finding them on the playbook after copying completed? Please help!

I just did this the other day for my wife, took some books that she purchased on her Sony Reader and moved them to her new PB. You need to download Calibre ( free) and also download software that will remove the DRM from the books that are on the Sony. I bought it from www.ebook-converter.com , was $29.95 US. I've read that there are also free ones out there but I went with this b/c it was mentioned in several posts. Go to your reader library on line, download the book, use the DRM and Calibre and then you'll have the file to transfer to your PB. You'll also need an e-pub reader, several on the Appworld, I used Book Reader.Of course I bought and paid for the Sony books so I see nothing wrong in just getting them to a devise that I want to read them on. This same process works for library books that you check out that have DRM enbedded. I Hope this helps.

If they don't digital-rights-management on them (if they do then check the site that you got them from for which apps you can use for them on your iPad) then you can add them to your computer's iTunes library via the File > Add To Library menu option - if using a Mac with OS X Mavericks on it then add them to its iBooks app via File > Add To Library.
Then connect your iPad to your computer and select it in your computer's iTunes, and use the Books tab to select and sync the epubs to your iPad's iBooks app

First suggestion would be to read your manual that came with the camea for proper cable use for transfer. The iMac has a FW800 port and also USB2.0 port. Once connected you can import them into iMove and edit them from there. Some Sony codecs may require converting.
Firewire Cable is first needful thing.

Make sure you are running FCP 7.0.3. That version deals with files from the NX5 the best. If you are on a previous version, like FCP 6....you will need to use CLIPWRAP2 from Divergentmedia.com. As the specific AVCHD format the NX5 uses is something that FCP 6 cannot really deal with.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Hi, I have shot few pictures on 31st December night in RAW mode using Nikon D800 and Sandisk extreme plus 32GB SDHC card. It looks like card got some memory errors so not able to transfer the files from Card to computer. However I am able to view the pics thru Lightroom ver 4.4 Library, but when I tried to import them, it gives me an error stating that file can't be read.
Is there a way to save the pics from Library window in lightroom overcoming the card read errors ?

Thank you for your response. Here is the error message I am receiving, I tried with various destination folders in the computer but it still gives the same error:. Just to let you know, I am able to import pictures into these folders from other memory cards.

The computer has to be authorized for the account that purcchased the media.
What error message are you getting when you try to lauthorize the computer for that account?

I had my pdf files copied into ITunes on my PC but when I clicked on a pdf file to copy it I thought the sidebar would appear with my IPAD name and then I would drag it over. I didn't realize that I needed to click-and start dragging it towards the left-hand side for the sidebar to appear. It worked like a charm - THANKYOU!!!
