Transfer existing number to online number?

I was wondering if it was possible to transfer an existing phone number to a skype online number.  We've recently moved from the US to Canada and were hoping to get a skype online number of my wife's cell phone number (which she still has, but is planning to cancel) in order to ease communication with our family/friends back home.
Thanks!

It's unlikely any time soon, I'm afraid.

  • Transfer Existing Number between accounts, with out the penalty of a New 1 or 2 year agrement..

I currently have 4 Cell Phones on my Personal Verizon Account and have been with Verizon for longer than I can remember.  None of my lines are under any type of Time restrictive agreement (i.e. One or Two Year).  The company I work for uses Verizon as well and said they will pay for on of my lines, if I transfer it to their Business Account.  I was told by a Verizon Representative that because all of my contracts/agreements are more than 13 months old that when the day comes to transfer my phone number back to my Personal Verizon Account I "Will Not" be forced into a new 1 or 2 year agreement. (i.e. Existing Personal VZ Number, with no pending agreements, transferred to a Business Account and when transferred back I will not be forced into a New early termination agreement...)  Is this correct?

This is a personal observation. I would not transfer the line (number) to your company. First reason once transferred to them the line now becomes the companies property.
Usually a company will issue a line of service and device if they require you to have one for work use.
Secondly, the company will have total access to your calling, texting and internet history. Not good.
Third, transferring the number back to you at a later date may not be possible. You would be doing an assumption of liability on the line even though you previously owned the line. Credit check and possibly a security deposit. And your plan or service may be impacted in ways I am not thinking of.
When I was in charge of adding users to our account we opened the line and number and had total control of the billing and use of the line.
A few employees would use their own cells and submitted the copy of their invoices with work calls highlighted. This was also a nightmare especially not really knowing if the calls were business or personal. We forbade the practice.
    Good Luck

  • Transfer from all countries online number ($18/3 m...

    Hi,
Please guide me how to transfer from 'ALL countries online to US /Canada online number' - as it was an error and I don't have to pay $18 where the transaction is still pending - please help me to transfer to US online and to refund the balance or anyother confirmation - thank you!
    BB.

    1)   I needed an 'online' number to call other skypes accounts ( on their mobiles, on their computer skypes etc.,) - and also I saw the Discount you offer "US & Canada" unlimited $2.99 / month.
My kind request ( I will not be traveling outside USA) : Please allow me to have online number at a discounted rate per month ( $2.99 / month instead of $18 for 3 months).
    Two problems here....
    1. The Online Numbers only work to *receive* calls from telephones on your Skype account.  They do nothing for calling phones.
    2. There is no discount for an Online Number as you describe.  They are either US$ 18/3 months, US$ 60/year, or US$ 30/year if you already have a subscription to call telephones.
If you want to receive calls from telephones and make calls to telephones in the USA, you would need two items - an Online Number in the US at the prices I listed above, and some way to pay for the calls you make from Skype to telephones in the US (Skype Credit, or the Unlimited USA & Canada subscription at US$ 2.99/month).  You must have both, in order to be able to make calls to telephones as well as receive calls from telephones.
If Skype users you are calling run the Skype app on their smart phones or other devices, you would just call them on their Skype account name.  This would be a free call, not requiring an Online Number or a subscription (or Skype Credit on your account).  You need the subscription (or Skype Credit) only if you are calling those people at their mobile phone numbers, and only need the Online Number if you want them to be able to call you from a telephone and not from Skype.
     2) transaction date is shown for my order number "626216569" says 6/19/2012 - 02:43 GMT.
My question: when this will be effective for me to call my relatives and friends who have skype ( I don't have skype so I'm getting a skype 'online' US only number ).
I hope this helps you to understand my issues - I thought my 'online' number will be ready by this evening , as I did my transaction yesterday ( but it is giving a wrong transaction date too).
I'm really confused how long to wait to get this 'online' number... and I'm very very excited about this 'online' number that I'm getting , but I don't know when I'm going to get it.
Again, you don't need to purchase anything if the people you are calling are also on Skype.  Call them using their Skype name, and it is a free call.
As for what you purchased, you may want to click on the "Support" link above and file a request with Skype Support about that.  I'm not a Skype employee, so I can't look into the status of your recent purchase.

  • Transfering existing number to existing family plan

I have my own personal Verizon account and my family said they would add me to their AT&T family plan when I got an iPhone.
I want to transfer my verizon number to the iPhone, which I know is possibel through itunes.
But does the online iTunes activation allow for you to transfer an existing number with Verizon to an existing AT&T account?
I hope so, as the family member with the AT&T account lives in another state. So hopefully it doesn't involve anyone having to physically go into the store.
But if it does require a visit to an AT&T store, do they need the actually iPhone with them? Hopefully not, as I'd have the actual phone being activated.
    Any answers is appreciated. Thanks.

Be advised that ATT may not let you add an out of state number to a family plan in another state. For example, if you have a NY number and you are trying to add the number to an account that is based in Atlanta, ATT will not let you do that because, according to them the markets are different.
To be on the safe side, you can call and inquire but I'm pretty sure they will tell you the same thing.

  • Transfer VOIP Number to SKYPE

    Hi, Claywd,
    Skype Number
Instead of porting a number into Skype, start a Skype Number subscription.
Anticipating your next question, a few caveats to be aware of so you can make an informed decision: while you can take out up to ten (10) Skype Number subscriptions per Skype account, call forwarding and voice mail function for the Skype account itself, not each individual Skype Number.  What people tend to do who require a facility to separate voice mail and call forwarding for each Skype Number is to start a new Skype account for each Skype Number they need.  The FAQ articles related to Skype Numbers remind us that Skype Numbers can not accept incoming SMS messages; these are routed to a mobile phone number instead.
There may be other Skype-compatible add-ons as noted in the post, above, however I confess I have not researched anything like this lately.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • Porting an existing number

I kept looking through the learn tab, and found the answer.  NO, one cannot use an existing number.

  • Can I transfer my number from an ee micro sim to an ee nano sim

I've bought an iPhone 5 and was currently using an iPhone 4 previously. Is it possible to transfer my number from my micro sim to the nano sim and can I do it at home or do I have to go into a shop.

Hi , If it's the same contract etc, the SIM should be fine. Have you got both a micro and nano SIM? Here's a handy online guide if you're wanting to turn your micro SIM into a nano one. Alternatively, you can order a new SIM from EE. Cheers,

  • Can I buy out my contract to transfer phone number to company account?

    Hello,
Currently I have a droid phone under contract with Verizon, and I am eligible for an upgrade in June, 2015, but can buy out of the contract for $180.  I also am going to get a company phone for my job, but it is required that this be the iphone 6 and it can be either with Verizon or AT&T service.  Ideally I would like to just transfer my number to my company account and use the iphone full time, but unfortunately it's not that simple.
Here are the options I've been informed I have:
    1) Have the company take over my account for no cost, but the company would have to pay $649 for a new iphone since I'm not eligible for an upgrade, and I'm not sure I can get this added cost approved.
    2) Get a separate company phone number and iphone that the company will buy for me (I think it will cost them $200).  Not ideal because I would either lose my phone number or I would have to keep paying for my phone and carry 2 phones around.
Here's the option I want, but nobody can confirm it is possible:
    3) I buy out my old contract for $180, then transfer the phone number to my company phone where I would get a new contract and a new iphone.  I'd be fine paying the $180 out of my pocket since I'd make that up in savings in 3 months.  I was on hold with customer service while 2 service people were debating whether or not this was possible, but after 15 minutes of dead air I had to leave to attend a work meeting, so I don't know if it's possible.
Here's the option I don't want to but may be forced to do:
    4) Start a new contract with AT&T through my company and have my number ported over.  I would then pay the $180 to Verizon to get me out of my obligation.
In case anyone has actually taken the time to read all this, here are my questions:
    - Is Option #3 actually possible?  Has anyone done it?
    - Is Option #4 possible?  If it is possible, wouldn't Verizon just prefer I do option #3.
    - Are there any other options I'm not considering?
Thanks for any input you can give

    Hello Kinquana,
Yes, I'm available for Early Edge upgrade, but from what I can tell it doesn't really offer my company any savings versus them just buying the iphone up front at full price, and it probably just creates complications for the IT department.  Either way, it's an additional cost that I would have to get approved.
So it sounds like my best option is to just move my number to AT&T and cancel my verizon account?  Seems like you would not want that to happen.
I do not have any issues with my current phone, but my company requires that I get an iphone due to compatibility with email and security.
    Thanks for the quick response

  • DRQ:Credit Note not based on invoice should transfer reference number to JE

according to SAP business one system behavior, only those credit notes that based on invoices are able to transfer customer/vendor reference no. field value to reference 2 field in journal entry. I would like to propose to enable AP credit note that is not based on invoice to transfer reference number field to JE as well.

Even if it is possible, you would be better split the amount to individual credit note.  I have no idea why you need to split line in one credit note.

  • Transfer Order number for Production order

    Hi,
what is the best way to get the transfer order number (LTAK-TANUM) for picking for a production order?
Picking can occur first in IM (via MB1A for example) or in WM (via LP10). Requirement Tracking Number cannot be used as it has only a length of 10 characters (production order number up to 12 characters).
Reservation number (LTAK-RSNUM) is only filled in case picking is done from IM first.
    Cheers
    Mathias

    Hi,
how are other companies handling this if they want to pick from the warehouse (e.g. using CO27) for a production order and the production order number has 12 characters? The bin (LTAP-VLPLA) and the requirement number (LTAK-BENUM) only have up to 10 characters.
Is there a standard way in SAP to print out the complete 12 character number on the picking list? I could not find another field where the production order number appears.
P.S. There are already some production order types in use that have a number range with 12 characters.
    Cheers

  • Transfer Order number in MSEG table

    Hi,
I am a Technical team member and while preparing Technical Specification for a Report I came accross a problem that when we do a PGI the Transfer Order field in the table MSEG does not get updated.
My requirement is to get the Transfer Order number from the Material document, and I don't understand why this field isn't getting updated in MSEG table with reference Transfer order when one does a PGI.
Please let me know if there is any configuration I need to check with so that I can go with this info to my Functional team.
Appreciate your help in this regard.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Saleem.

    Hi Saleem
In MSEG you can find TR number (MSEG-TBNUM). Take MBLNR from MSEG and pass into LTAK table. There you can find TO Number (LTAK-TANUM)
    Hope it helps

  • Can I just transfer my number?

I've wanted an iPhone since before I even had my iPod Touch, but I don't want to pay for a data plan. I'm not going to use it-I'll use wifi whenever I need internet if I can connect.  I know Verizon Wireless wont sell one to you without upgrading your plan, but what if I get it somewhere besides the Verizon store?
So, my question is: If buy an iPhone from Amazon or where ever, can I simply transfer my number from my current cellphone (Samsung Bright-side on Verizon) over to an iPhone without a data plan? Will that work? Will it not work until I do get a plan or something?

When you attempt to activate the phone on Verizon, they will see it is an iPhone and will require you to add a data plan. No way around it.

  • Moving can I transfer my number

I'm moving soon.  My current number is being used for my consulting business.  The new location is in a different area code so I know I can't transfer the number, but I was wondering if I can continue to pay for the current number and have any calls to it forwarded to my new number.
I think I could do this in a round about way if I were to sign up and transfer this number to vonage, but was wondering if Verizon could offer the same service.

Contact your local business office (phone number is on your phone bill) and ask about having a feature/service called "Remote Call Forwarding" added to you current/old phone number.  All calls originally destined for you current/old phone number will be redirected to you new number --even though the old phone line has been disconnected.  With this arrangement YOU will be billed for all charges for all calls forwarded.  (Sort of like establishing an 800 number for your customers, except that your customers continue to simply dial the number they have always used.
Alternatively, if you simply disconnect your current/old phone number you should be presented with the choice to have calls to your old number intercepted and the recording will announce your new number, so that your customer can hang up and re-dial the new number --in this case your customer(s) will pay the charges associated with calling the new number.  You should also be presented with the option of having the intercept recording offer to automatically connect the caller to the new number --again for an additional charge in addition to the charges associated with calling the new number.
Note that "Remote Call Forwarding" is a feature that will remain active for your number until/unless you cancel it.  The intercept announcement/connect arrangement will be automatically removed from your old number after several months, based on the demand for new telephone service (and numbers) in your area; or if the number of calls to the old number drops in volume.
