Transfer files from Pages in iPad

How do you transfer files from Pages on iPad to a mac computer. Apple "iTunes help"  hasn't got a clue how to describe it??

Make sure
Settings > iCloud > Documents & Data on and Pages is on as well.
Then things will sysnc through the icloud for you with no additional effort.
Once that is done you simply save or open from cloud.

  • Is it possible to transfer files from pages on iPad to iTunes on my PC wirelessly?

I am just wondering if there's an easy to transfer my files from pages to my iTunes  on my pc without having to connect the two. Would just save a lot of time and make it easier to get about my work. Thanks.

If you set up icloud on all devices/computers then pages, numbers, keynote and note pad will sync to all. You edit on ipad and changes will show up on same document on computer.

how to transfer files from mac to ipad without using itunes ???
as i want to use my ipad for official use as well...please suggest..

well to be 100% technical, no you didn't but that aside, it good to know there are ways for people to transfer music into the default apps without iTunes, if they have a need.
I tend to use 3rd party apps for documents, like your mentioned iExplorer etc, which are handy.
I see from a search the two "apps" you mentioned are not iOS apps, which I had assumed, SyncPod and FreeSync are apps for your computer, that would explain their access to the default Music/Video apps.
I had wondered how Apple had allowed iOS apps in the store that could get around the sandboxing in iOS of apps.

  • I need to transfer files from a friends iPad to my desktop. Is this possible? If so, how?

I need to transfer files from a friends iPad to my desktop. Is this possible? If so, how?

Depending upon what the files are - The easiest way to do it - in my opinion - would be to email the files from your friend's iPad to you. You can't sync to another computer and email should work just fine. You email the files from within the app in which the file is saved or created. Most apps will have a tool icon or an arrow icon at the top if you tap on - it will give you an option to email the file

  • How to transfer files from iMac to iPad 2

What's the best way to transfer files from iMac to iPad, like a Keynote presentation?

It's probably not as "simple" as using DropBox, but it's there. When in the Apps section of iTunes, just scroll down to the bottom where there is a listing of installed apps that can use the iTunes data exchange. Documents available on the computer can be synced TO the device while those available on the device can be syned TO the computer.

  • Transfer files from pc to ipad without internet/WLAN without erasing everything

    Hi,
we have the following problem. Our  Ipad is synchronized using Itunes with a Macbook. From time to time we need to transfer a few PDF files from a PC to the Ipad. We can only use a cable here, since WLAN isn't available and files cannot be transferred through the internet.
When I tried to attach the Ipad to the PC it wanted to delete everything on it and sync with the Itunes Library on the PC.
Is there a way to transfer the files without deleting everything?
I called support but that didn't really help me.
Thanks in advance for your input.

In your case, the key is to keep your iTunes organized in the way you can perform the sync without losing data. Obviously the most efficient way would be using the internet to add isolated files. If your workplace has only wired connection, a very basic and cheap solution can be adding a USB Wireless Adapter that costs around 30 bucks. With this adapter you can create an ad-hoc network between one PC and the iPad and then get internet on it.
Another way is to use a laptop that have Ethernet adaptorand Wireless adaptor. In the same way, you can create an ad-hoc network and share your wired internet connection through the wi-fi to the iPad. You can even use your smartphone to share the internet connection. This kind of connection from smartphones are called tethering connection. The iPhone is ready to tether by USB...not sure if can tether via wifi. It should do...On the Android phones 100% sure that works. Thats what I do when I'm on pyblic transport and want to use internet on my iPad to watch some videos on the go.
With the internet connection on the iPad,you can use Dropbox to put Documents into the iPad or even use iCloud to doit.
There's many ways to do it...just choose which way you want to use.
    I hope it helps.

  • How to transfer files from windows to ipad

I have a huge grouping of Old Time Radio shows in a folder on my Windows XP Pro SP3 3 desktop computer.
I want to copy them to my iPad mini, or to my 5th gen. iPod Touch.
I know I can copy them on a thumb drive (the Windows computer does not "see" my iPad) to my MacBook Pro, which does see the iPad, but how do I make a file on the iPad to recieve the fiies?
While I do have an NAS unit, the iPad is not hooked into it, and Ihave no interest in getting an iCloud account.
    What do I do?

  • I am trying to transfer files from my laptop to pages in ipad. I could sure use some help with detailed info. Thanks!

Can anyone help give me detailed info re: how to transfer files from PC to ipad using my icloud and Pages? Thanks.

If you go to iCloud.com you can actually just upload all your documents there qnd convert them to a pages file. You can then go to your iPad and go to your pages app and have access to all the documents that you've recently uploaded on to iCloud.com. You just need to make sure that on your iPad in settings->iCloud->documents and data is turned on. If it is then anything you do on the iCloud or iPad will all sync and you can access both items from either platform.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask. You can also visit an apple store where they have free classes on iCloud and other topics.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do i transfer files from old ipad to new ipad if it has already been activated as new?

I purchased a new ipad and need to transfer files from my old ipad.  However, it has already been set up as new and all support suggestions I have found have been for choosing the restore option in the set-up stage.  How do I do it now that it has been activated?

It depends on if you even have a backup. If you had a backup, I don't suppose that you would have to ask how to restore from it.
Did you backup your old iPad? If you so, did you backup with iTunes or iCloud? This explains how to backup and how to restore from a backup, but once again, if you don't have that backup any longer, this will not work.
