Transfer Fotos back from iPad to my iMac

Dear all
I had a complete breakdown of my iMac and lost ALL my Data, except some stuff from an old backup on an external HD.
I did also transfer some Fotos to show my friends onto the iPad when I received it.
Now, these Fotos are the only ones left! They are stored on my iPad but I cannot transfer them back to my iMac...
Does anyone have a solution/software to try?
thank you for any help!
cheers
- Sheerkhan

The software described above did NOT work! It even required to download another one for Photos and the pay 20$ for it! Which I did...
All it downloaded (after many tries and problems) were the thumbnails of the pictures.
So I am STILL looking for a way to reliably sync my OWN pictures from OWN iPad to my OWN iMac...
Some of the 3rd party apps will resave edited or sorted photos to the Saved Photos album. Once the photos are in the Saved Photos album, you can move them to the computer with your Digital camera import tool. On Mac, I think it's done with iphoto.
So if you group-tag the photos and save them, they will then be in the Saved Photo album. I know +*Sort Shots*+ allows copying photos from the events or albums that were originally synced in and then resaving them into the Sort Shots app so you can export them from the ipad to your computer. This is done by Sort Shots behind the scenes.

  • How do I transfer all notes from iPad to my macbook

How could I transfer all notes from iPad 4th generation to my MacBook?

I would do that by transferring my existing notes on my iPad into an iCloud account.  You would set up an iCloud notes account on your iPad (Settings > iPad).  Make sure all the notes reside in the iCloud account (not an easy task).  Then turn on iCloud notes on your MacBook, and they will all mysteriously appear.
Another way would be to wait for iOS 8 and Yosemite.  Once these two new operating systems are released, Apple has said you will be able to use AirDrop to move information between iOS and OS X devices.

    Hal

Aha OK then, that should work fine.
The only snag might be, if your missing the original thermal sensor from the original 24" Hard Drive.
Then again, you should be able to use the one that came from the original 17" Hard Drive.

I have many projects made in imovie HD that are not updating to iMovie 10 on my new iMac.  Why is this not working as stated on the article HT202853?  How do I get my projects back from backup after old iMac crashed?

    According to:
Update projects and events from previous versions of iMovie in iMovie (2014) - Apple Support
you can update from iMovie versions 7, 8 and 9, but iMovie HD is iMovie 6.
Maybe you can update in two steps, first from iMovie 6 to iMovie 7, 8 or 9 then to iMovie 10.

You don't upload magazines to iCloud. If you remove them from the iPad, you just download them again in the magazine app if you want to access those issues again.

  • How do I transfer calendar changes FROM ipad TO computer?

how do I transfer calendar changes FROM ipad TO computer?

Thanks Chris. Trouble is, I have created  a pile of calendar detail (and contacts) in iPad, but have a blank version of Outlook  on Pc (had to reinstall). Reading synch instruction, implies iPad will synch with pc, and delete existing iPad content (plenty) and replace with pc outlook content (zilch). So I would stand to lose everything.
Have turned on iCloud on iPad, but can't see any content in pc based iTunes, (nor of course, in Outlook)
So want to be sure to keep what I have ON iPad and transfer it TO Outlook. I can then continue to edit/add content on iPad and transfer that TO computer (from time to time)
    Any ideas?

  • How can I transfer music back from iPod to MacBook and iMac after a MacBook

My MacBook Pro (2 years old) recently suffered a harddrive failure. I had all my music on this computer and of course on my iPod 80GB. Now I have a new drive in the MacBook with no music and all the music on the iPod. How can I transfer the music back from the iPod to the MacBook? I also have an iMac and would like to doubly back up my music on this unit (in case - or rather "when" there is another drive failure). Connecting the iPod doesn't work as it just asks me to erase and resync. There HAS to be some way around this, I couldn't possibly be the only person in the world with a drive failure!

1). Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
3). Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you only want to copy your purchases to the computer that can be done using iTunes, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (including purchases) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. I use Senuti but have a look at the web pages and documentation for the others too. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here (you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well):

iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
4). Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
