Transfer Game from Iphone 3GS but data lost

Hi I have the iphone 3gs and my husband kept stealing it to play an online game so i bought him a iphone 4 however when we synced the phone it sent him back to the start of the game is their anyway of him transferring the game including all his games and battles over to the new phone
Thanks

Installing the game alone from your iTunes library does not include the app settings and any data created and stored by the app on another iPhone. 3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app is included with the iPhone's backup or should be, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
Did you transfer the backup for the 3GS to the iPhone 4?

As far as I know, you can't. Android and Apple devices aren't typically very compatible.

  • How do you transfer music from iPhone 3Gs to Windows PC.

Old windows pc crashed. Do not have back up. How do I tranfers music from iPhone 3Gs 16M to new windows PC. 99% of music was ripped CD's.

The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod. I use Senuti but have a look at the web pages and documentation for the others too, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. This is just a small selection of what's available, you can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
Senuti Mac Only (Currently only the beta version is iPod Touch & iPhone compatible)
    PodView Mac Only
    PodWorks Mac Only
iPodDisk PPC Mac Only (experimental version available for Intel Macs)
TuneAid Mac only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac & Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
iPod Music Liberator Mac & Windows
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    Floola Mac & Windows
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • How to transfer contacts from iphone 3gs to iphone 5

How do you transfer and upload contatcts from iphone 3gs ver 5.1.1 to new iphone 5?
    Anybody any solutio (s) ?

Transfer music, photos, contacts, SMS and more from one Apple device to another. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and iOS.
Step 2: Connect your current iPhone to iTunes and sync it. Verify that your original iPhone is backed up. For more information on how to do this, see iPhone: iPhone and iPod touch: About backups
Step 3: Connect your new iPhone 5 to iTunes (on the same computer you used to back up your current iPhone 3G).
Step 4: iTunes will ask you if you want to restore from a backup or set up your new iPhone as a new phone. When prompted, select the backup of your current iPhone. If iTunes does not prompt you to select a backup to restore when you connect your new iPhone, use iTunes to restore iOS on your new iPhone and try this step again. Note: During the process of restoring your old backup to a new iPhone, you may see the iTunes progress bar pause. If this occurs, please allow for additional time for the upgrade to complete.
Step 5: After iTunes finishes restoring the backup you selected to your new iPhone, the iPhone will restart.
Step 6: When your new iPhone appears again in the iTunes window, select it.
Step 7: Click the tabs (Info, Music, Photos, and so on) and verify or change the items you want to sync.
Step 8: Click Apply to sync your new iPhone 5 with iTunes.
Step 9: Verify that your saved contacts are present on your new iPhone.

  • Transfer apps from iphone 3GS to iphone 4

I am upgrading from iphone 3GS to iphone 4. I have several applications and music which I have bought from apple store with my appleID. Can these apps be moved to iphone 4 if I use the same appleID... or do I need to repeat these purchases again?

You can sync as many devices as you want to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep everything straight, by device, upon subsequent syncs, including separate backups. When you get your new phone, you can either restore it from the backup of your 3GS or set it up as new, the choice is yours. Afterwards, just plug it in an sync.

  • How do I transfer everything from iPhone 3GS to my new iPhone 4S?

I purchased an iPhone 4S to replace my iPhone 3GS (which I will keep for spare, other chores).  What I assumed I could do (and it seems I accomplished when I had upgraded from a 3G to 3GS) was that there was a way to restore my 3GS backup to the iPhone 4S.
So, as a first step, I upgraded the 3GS to iOS5, made sure everything works OK, then did a backup of the 3GS through iTunes to my computer.
When I connected my new 4S to my computer/iTunes and registered it to iTunes, I looked for a way to restore my 3GS apps/setup to the 4S.  I could not find a way, but as I was looking I noticed that iTunes was automatically attempting to install every single app I had ever downloaded or purchased, some 400 of them.  By the time I was able to stop it (by canceling, then changing settings in iTunes so it would not try it again), 100 apps had been loaded, most of which I no longer use.
I have not had time until today to get back to this project, and meanwhile have been using my new 4S, sync'd to my MobileMe account for my Contacts, Calendars, and mobileme email account.
Just now I started searching on the Apple website, came to a box to type in my question, and it had me sign in and start this email query - so hear I am...
One more thing, I tried setting up the 3GS on iCloud (using my iTunes account ID, which is different from my mobile me ID), and after it appeared all docs and data backed up, set up my new 4S on the same iCloud account, but switching on backup did nothing.

    Almost there...
I'm replying to myself, as I have found the answer.
    1.  Started iTunes, connected iPhone 4S, turned on Airplane mode.
    2.  In iTunes, hovered mouse over my iPhone 4S name in left column, in popup box clicked on "Restore from Backup..."
    3.  From menu clicked on name of my old iPhone 3GS backup.
    4.  Backup appeared to be finished in about 8 minutes, but I new that could not be correct...iPhone had rebooted, so I entered password.  I could see that most apps were "waiting" and grayed out, also in iTunes top status box indicated that apps were being sync'd.  Also noted that my iPhone 4S now had the same name as my "old" iPhone 3GS.
    5.  After some time (a couple of hours, perhaps, not sure because I went to sleep), everything appeared sync'd on new iPhone, and iTunes stated that sync was OK.
    6.  Manually renamed my new iPhone 4S to its correct name, then backed up to computer.
I decided to hold off on iCloud for now - two majore issues:  1) have heard some reports of data dissappearing, and 2) I will have to talk to Apple about MobileMe instructions for moving to iCloud, which state that move will not transfer my mobileme email, and also that I cannot install iCloud management software (nor sync to Outlook) on my Windows XP computer - I intend to upgrade to a new Win7 in January 2010, and I have heard it is not so simple to change iTunes/device syncing to another computer.  Sounds like a good project for the Christmas-NewYear holidays...

  • Transfer "Notes" from iPhone 3Gs to iCloud and/or Devices

I lost my "Notes" from my iMac, iCloud and iPads. However they are still on my iPhone 3Gs. I turned "Notes" off under iCloud. How can I transfer the "Notes" from my iPhone 3Gs to the other devices and iCloud without risking the loss of the iPhone data during a transfer or iCloud backup?
    Thanks.

Well, you mean you want to extract your iPhone notes from iPhone backup, and get them to your other devices, such as Mac, iPad, get it right? If so, you can choose iPubsoft iPhone Backup Extractor for Mac, and connect your iPhone and iPad to your Mac computer, then start the program! Scan for your iPhone backup file! Select the notes you want to extract, then you can extract iPhone notes from backup file, and get them recovered on your iPad or Mac!

  • How to transfer stuff from Iphone 3gs to new laptop....

I had an old laptop with all the same info as on my Iphone 3gs. That laptop crashed so I got a new one. I wanT to transfer stuff from my Iphone to the laptop itself. Only I don't know how to do that. It's a windows 7 laptop.  Thanks to all. Cheerio!

The music and picture sync is one way - computer to iphone.  the only exception is itunes purchases.  the iphone is not a backup/storage device.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your old computer to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases
Your synced pics will be deleted.  They are reduced in resolution when synced to iphone.  you can e-mail them to yourself, but they will never be of the original resolution again.
Also, if you sync contacts and calendars to a blank computer, then  they will be erased as well.  Another reason that backups are critical.
You can enter one uniques contact and calendar entry in the new computer.  When you first sync you should get the option to merge the data.
After all of this make a backup and maintain it always.
If you do as Eric suggests you may lose everything.  So be careful.  If you just sync to the new computer, everything will be erased and replaced with content from the new computer.

  • How to transfer music from iPhone 3GS to 4s

I need help on how to transfer music from my old iPhone 3GS to my new iPhone 4s.  Thanks

Apple's method is you sync the new phone to the same iTunes library you used with the old phone. You do not do a phone-to-phone transfer nor do you transfer items (except iTunes Store purchases ) from a phone to a computer.  Your computer's iTunes is the master and up-to-date repository of your media.

  • How to transfer notes from iphone 3Gs to 4s

How do you transfer notes from 3Gs to 4s

As it turns out, this is a laborious process. Apple could have simply put in option to Move under Notes (just as under Mail Box).
In my case, I had iPhone 3GS (from 2009 pre iCloud) and just got a new iPhone 4S.
    Notes are split under Accounts:
    On My iPhone (3GS)
    iCloud
After searching far, end up doing this.
Open up each Note On My iPhone
    Select All
    Copy
Go up to Accounts / switch to iCloud
    Open a new Note
    Paste
    Done
Repeat for 114 times (in my case 114 Notes On My iPhone 3GS). Then open up Notes iPhone 4S, all show up.

  • How to transfer images from iPhone 3gs to iPad2?

After purchasing the iPad Camera Connection Kit, will the iPad2 fail to recognize the aging iPhone 3gs?

    It doesn't work that way.
You can email them to yourself
You can sync them from iTunes to your iPad
You can get an App like Dropbox
But you can't connect an iPhone directly to iPad

  • Transfer purchases from iPhone 3gs error

My wife and I both have an iPhone 3gs. We've created separate users on our iMac to manage iPhones/iTunes. We both have admin privileges. It's worked brilliantly until today. I recently synced/updated to OS 5.1.1 (last week)...no problems on my end. My wife tried today, but unfortunately gets an error message at the end of the transfer purchases/syncing process:  "Attempting to copy to disk "Macintosh HD" failed. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."
    Any ideas?

I too had this issue on my Vista 64 machine--I have since upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. The solution I found was to open TCP Port 3689 on the computer as well as the Multicast DNS for Bonjour: UDP 5353. You might need to reboot and should be all set after that. My Apple TV worked for almost a year without these settings. I suddenly started having these issues around a month ago. All is now well.
