Transfer history notifications from one system to another using ale/inotif

Hi experts,i wan't to transfer 15000 completed,historical notifications from one sap system top another.
I use ale configuration to do this.
I have set rfc connections,message type,distribution model and i've generated partner profiles.
My question is how can i create thenotification idoc?
In MM with message type matmas using transaction code bd10 we send materials creating idoc.In my case for notifications i read that i can do this using transaction code inot.But i am doing this and a mesage:notification rejected appears.
I then try to distribute the model and a rejection message appears with
Reason: Distribution model is currently being processed .
Can you suggest something??

its possible only with the help of ECM , you need to do some work around too.
ECM should be extended to include the classification. In fact, the EXACT SAME change number should be used. In PLM, it's important that all of the changes related to a material become active in a cohesive unit. We can talk about those details if you need some background.
Unfortunately, in the split-client scenario, you're toast on any hope of using the same ECM number, due to the internally defined number range. The best you can do is create a new, externally assigned number range in the production client, and generate the number internally in the staging client. You can then make the change in the staging client and ALE it over to the productive client.
The next nasty part is going to be retroactive changes. You can't simply back-date a change. You have to change every occurrence of a dependency, class, characteristic, etc, that has existed in production as of that back date. So, the smartest practice is to never allow any back-dated changes. Require orders to be cancelled and re-created with the new effective date.
Check and revert back.

Hi,
I had created some classes in development system than transfered them to productive system through ale, and in productive system there is lots of trasaction data is created , many sales orders etc .
now after some time my user requested that they want to delet some of the characterstic from the classes , so in development system its not a problem as there is no transaction data , i can straight way delet the characterstic from classes, ignoring the request to check wheater its used in configuration or not.
but when i transfer this classes to productive system through ale, i got a error that as all this characterstic s are used in past i cant delet them , and after that system ll put all the characterstic in the top of classes , ie, neglecting the earlier sequence of characterstic in class.
we have ecm activated but its limited for changing material and boms only, for changing classes and characterstic its not in scope.
so can you think of some solution for this problem .

Then stop trying to use HomeShare and use one of the other options listed in the document from which your question was posted.

Transfer of workflow from one system to another

Hi all,
I have a requirement as follows:
1) V have developed a workflow in our system and tested
2) now the client wants tht in their system
if it is within our system, v can transport the request to copy tht workflow. But here the system itself is a new one where we need to do all configurations for workflow development. There is a way of storing the workflow as XML and thn importing it into the system.
Can anyone suggest with solution for this transfer from one system to another?

Hi,
1) In the T.code SWDD, Give your Workflow no. and Press enter.
2) Goto Menu, in the first Menu you can find Export and Import.
3) You have to export and save that XML file
4) Then go to the new system in the SWDD, Click import and it will ask of the file, upload the same file which you export from that system

XI Converts Unstructured data(That is non -XML)Type- in your case word doc and maps it to Target structure.

You didn't provided table structures and insert statements,
that's why i showed you the method on 2 emp- tables.
But it is exactly, what do you need.
Change my emp_1 on your sales,
and my emp_2 on your accounts,
and compare the results.
If you cannot directly copy and paste
and say to your teacher / chief "My homework / task is ready"
it doesn't mean, that the solution didn't provided ...

Getting error in file transfer from one system to another system

Hi All
One of my client (User) wants to transfer his file from SAP R/3 System SAP XI system. He is using a customize t-code ZFIR0325 (Trial balance report transfer to Hyperian System). When user execute the program he is getting error "File Transfer Failed due to Network chk with Admin"
I checked with Network team but they said it is okay from their side. We also check for authorization but there is no issue regarding authorization.
Name of File Path of Aplication Server, XI destinaion and XI directory entered by user is correct.
We also put authorization trace in XI System to RFC User (In file transfer from one system to another system this RFC User is geeing Used) but no authorization issue was found.
Please help me to resolve this problem. I any detail require I will provide the same.

Firstly, no one in the community can answer on how a custom transcation code and a program associated with it behaves.
If there are no authorization issues in the system, you have to look at the exact error message. Look if your XI system is allowed to receive files from the SAP system.
Unfortunately, you should do some more home work before putting your question here. If everything is fine and configured correctly, then the issue might be with the program.

How can I use ODI to do file transfer from one system to another system ?
Do I need to create Models or I have to simply use Jython procedure/script to do the same ? Kindly help. I have done DB to DB using Knowledge Modules. But I am not able to understand this piece.

If you are asking about file transfer use ODI FTP tool to do it. If you are asking about file transformation..
You can not do file transformation directly in ODI like we do in any other ETL tool like data stage or Ab Initio.. File transformation in ODI can be done using staging database in an interface(i.e ELT way).
Create source and target data stores for the file to be transformed. Create an interface using File to SQL LKM to load the file into staging database and then use SQL to File Integration knowledge module.

You should use Import Wizard to transfer the WebI report from one system to another, say, from DEV to PRD, but if you have also distinguish the DEV data source and the PRD data source, you will also have to modify the underlying universe connection after you transfer the report itself.
If you're on BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 or above, you may also look at the free tool BusinessObjects Life Cycle Management which can 'promote' contents from one system to another.
